56/365let's feel invincible.
in order to be strong in this world, in order to last long
<div style="text-align: right;">you need to feel invincible. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">target on my back,<div style="text-align: center;">lone surviver lasts.<div style="text-align: center;">they got me in their sights.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Run. Run. Run.<div style="text-align: center;">His heart pounded in his chest, paws skidding over the mulchy leaves covering the forest floor. He could hear them, their footfalls heavy against the ground, their strange shouts filling their ears. The sounds that their... pets emitted were like claws against glass, ugly, horrifying.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">no surender no,<div style="text-align: center;">trigger fingers go<div style="text-align: center;">living the dangerous life<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">It was stupid of him to reveal his true form, but there was no way he was going to give up. He'd just broken free from his last "master", and he had no intention of being caught and used again. His ears were pinned against his head, and his body shuddered at the sound of a gunshot piercing the air.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">hey hey hey every day when i wake<div style="text-align: center;">i'm trying to get up,<div style="text-align: center;">they're knocking me down<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He could see a figure ahead of him, another wolf, one of pure white, and his head lifted, tilting curiously as the fleeing wolf crashed through the brush.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Run!" It was the only thing that left his lips as he leapt over the white wolf with ease, and plunged into the foliage. He heard the white wolf yelp, followed by the sound of a panicked whine and the thundering of pawsteps behind him.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Chewing me up, spitting me out<div style="text-align: center;">hey, hey, hey, when i need to be saved.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">No one had ever been there to help pull him out of the danger he was in, or the abusive... "relationships" he was in with his masters. His heart continued to thunder, paws beginning to ache, rough stone and roots digging into his raw paw pads. He'd been on the run for over a month, body shaking and tired.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Trip.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">One catch of a forepaw and he flew forward, rolling out of the edge of the woods, sprawling to a stop at a small clearing. The wind blew through his fur and he staggered to his feet. He was trapped. There was only a cliff, a high drop, and a lake below.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">His chest was heaving, eyes darting wildly back and forth as his paw throbbed in pain. He could try to climb a tree. He probably wouldn't make it. The same white wolf came crashing through the foliage that the first wolf had tumbled from, and froze.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"We're trapped." The first wolf rasped.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">you're making me strong,<div style="text-align: center;">you're making me stand.<div style="text-align: center;">never will fall,<div style="text-align: center;">never will end.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">The white-furred wolf shook his head. "We can still escape." The first wolf shook his head. <div style="text-align: center;"> "With my paw like this, there isn't any way I can escape." The sounds of vicious barking grew louder, and the darker furred wolf pinned his ears back against his head, silver eyes darting right and left, searching for an escape.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">The hunting dogs burst through the brush, snarling, just as the white wolf charged at the silver wolf, slamming into his smaller body and sending them off the edge of the cliff. The silver eyed wolf's eyes widened, and a thin cry left his throat as they plummeted.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">shot like a rocket up into the sky<div style="text-align: center;">nothing could stop me tonight.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">The white furred wolf flipped them, holding the silver eyed wolf close to his chest, forelegs tucked over the silver eyed wolf's back, nose buried in his ruff. The silver eyed wolf whimpered softly, feeling the wind whistle in his ears. But, along with the terrifying emotion taking over his body, there was a thrill.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">you make me feel invincible,<div style="text-align: center;">earthquake, powerful<div style="text-align: center;">just like a tidal wave,<div style="text-align: center;">you make me brave.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">They hit the water, the white wolf's grunt the last thing they heard before they went underwater. The silver eyed wolf kicked up immediately, but froze when he noticed that the white wolf continued to sink, eyes closed.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">you're my titanium,<div style="text-align: center;">fight song, raising up<div style="text-align: center;">like a roar of victory in a stadium<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">The silver eyed wolf swam down, ignoring the pain in his foreleg, and shifted mid-way, fur melting away, paws elongating and transforming into fingers. The silver eyed boy grasped the heavy wolf, and kicked up, lungs beginning to burn.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">wake up. please.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Desperation began to flood through his veins, eyes squeezing shut as his weary body finally started to break. He had no strength left. He was fighting a losing battle.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">who can touch me,<div style="text-align: center;">'cause i'm made of fire<div style="text-align: center;">who can stop me tonight<div style="text-align: center;">i'm hard wired<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">you make me feel invincible.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Arms suddenly wrapped around the silver-eyed boy's limp waist, and began dragging them towards the surface. Their heads broke the surface, each of them gasping and wheezing for air. He could hear, he could feel a pounding heartbeat against his back, strong arms around his waist. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He was like me, the silver eyed boy realized. He wasn't alone.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">i feel it, i feel it. <div style="text-align: center;">invincible<div style="text-align: center;">i feel it, i feel it,<div style="text-align: center;">invincible<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">He was like me, the silver eyed boy realized. He wasn't alone. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">i feel it, i feel it. <div style="text-align: center;">invincible<div style="text-align: center;">i feel it, i feel it,<div style="text-align: center;">invincible<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Fuck." There was a wheezing cough, and the press of hands against his chest, the tilting of his head. Pressure, and the silver-eyed boy weakly coughed up water. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Hey! Don't die on me after you saved my life up there!"<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Weak, it hurt to breathe. Every pull of air rattled water in his lungs, and his conscious was fading. There was the warmth of something framing his face, something on his lips, before he was suddenly jerking up, wrenching to the side, water spilling from his lips.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">here we go again,<div style="text-align: center;">i will not give in<div style="text-align: center;">i've got a reason to fight.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">A hand rubbed his back comfortingly, as the silver-eyed boy's body shook with tremors, arms weak, barely keeping his own weight up. An arm wrapped around his waist, warm and comforting. The wet fabric of his shirt brushed and stuck against the silver eyed boy's arm, and he slowly turned his face to look behind him.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">every day we choose<div style="text-align: center;">we might win or lose<div style="text-align: center;">this is the dangerous life<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">It was another boy, dark blue hair wet and flat against his forehead, amber eyes sparkling and wide with worry. "You okay?" he breathed.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He saved my life. He gave me CPR. He....<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">The silver eyed boy flushed, eyes averting. He saw the other boy's face flush as well, but the arm stay around his waist. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Come on," the amber eyed boy staggered to his feet, easily lifting the silver eyed boy into his arms. "We need to get out of sight." The silver eyed boy could only nod, fingers curling into the fabric of his own, and the other boy's shirt. His pants were uncomfortably wet, and he began to shiver.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Thank you for saving me." The silver eyed boy whispered.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Thank you for saving me first."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: left;">you make me feel invincible<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: right;">you're my titanium.

if i could hold back this pain,
<div style="text-align: right;">would the sky cry for me? <div style="text-align: right;"> <div style="text-align: center;">oh dear mother, i love you.<div style="text-align: center;">i'm sorry, i wasn't good enough<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">The silver eyed boy lay there, curled on his side, breathing slow and brain muddled and lethargic. The gentle whisper of a touch had him stirring, as the white wolf from before whimpered softly, nose gently touching the boy's twisted wrist.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He let out a harsh breath, eyes squeezing shut as the memory filtered through his hazy mind. The times when he could never do what she wanted him to do because they were too hard. Things that she forced him to try, the things he got his scars from. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">I'm sorry I wasn't good enough.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">dear father, forgive me.<div style="text-align: center;">'cause in your eyes, i just never added up<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">The silver eyed boy struggled to sit up, and the white wolf transformed once again, holding out a quiet hand, palm up. The silver eyed boy hesitated, before gingerly setting his fingertips into the other boy's palm.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Touma." The boy murmured. The silver eyed blow blinked, before he realized what he meant.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Kazuko." It was quiet for a few moments, Touma concentrating his energy into aiding Kazuko's healing.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"You're thin."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Memories, memories of Kazuko's father, yelling, punching, kicking. Tearing his claws and teeth into the tender flesh of Kazuko's young body, screaming at him that he was so weak, that a mere six year old, a mere pup couldn't win a fight against a full grown alpha male.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"I'm sorry." Kazuko whispered, making a move to pull his wrist away. Touma blinked, bewildered, amber eyes startled. He frowned, before grasping Kazuko's upper arm, pausing him from moving.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">in my heart, i know i failed you<div style="text-align: center;">but you left me here alone.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">It's not your fault,<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">that's what all of his "masters" told him. After his parents had sold him, Kazuko hadn't seen them again. His heart had been heavy, knowing that it was his fault that he was sold. It was he who failed his parents.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">But they'd left him on his own.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">if i could hold back the pain<div style="text-align: center;">would you numb the pain?<div style="text-align: center;">'cause i remember everything.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Touma released Kazuko's arm gently, wrist healed, and made a noise of surprise when the silver eyed boy grasped the front of his shirt, body trembling slightly.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">It had never affected him before, being left alone. He knew it had been his fault, that in his heart, he knew that he failed them. But, remembering running away from those horrific men, ones who wanted to kill, and barely making it out alive, brought back those unpleasant memories. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Touma, bless his soul, stayed quiet, and instead hesitated before drawing Kazuko into his warm embrace as they huddled in the low lying cave. Kazuko bit his lower lip hard, until he could taste blood. It wasn't a feeling that he liked, allowing his weaknesses to make him cave.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">if i could help you forget,<div style="text-align: center;">would you take my regrets,<div style="text-align: center;">cause i remember everything.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Touma hesitated briefly, before running his fingers through the damp hair at the back of Kazuko's head, drawing the smaller boy's head to the crook of his neck. Touma shifted positions to sit more comfortably, letting the silver eyed boy curl up in his lap as his shoulders shook with silent cries.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Kazuko hated feeling weak.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">i feel like running away<div style="text-align: center;">i'm still so far from home<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He'd been running constantly from each master. How he always ended up in the cycle, he didn't know. All he knew, is that this time, maybe, just maybe, he'd be free forever. He was far away from the place he used to call home.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Where could he go? What... what could he do to stay away from the clutches of the horrid humans? His throat closed, and he found it hard to breathe, body still weak from running and trying to swim through heavy water.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Come with me." Touma murmured, nose brushing Kazuko's cold ear. The silver eyed boy's small body stopped shaking, and he slowly placed his hands on Touma's broad shoulders, pulling back to stare wide eyed into that earnest amber gaze.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">you'll say that i'll never change,<div style="text-align: center;">but what the fuck do you know?<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"You're useless."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"He won't run away."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"He won't make it a day on his own."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">The mocking words filled Kazuko's ears, his head, and he nodded, thumbs brushing Touma's collarbone. Touma smiled, eyes flickering to the entrance of the cave, and Kazuko followed his gaze anxiously, before realizing that he was still waiting for a response.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Are you sure?" Kazuko asked, words catching in his throat. A beautiful smile crossed Touma's lips, and he tilted his head down, brushing their noses together. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Of course." Touma's arm wrapped around Kazuko's waist, easily holding him close as he ducked out of the cave, and started off at a brisk walk.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Where are you going?"<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"We," Touma corrected, gently. Kazuko wrinkled his nose, testing the word out on his tongue.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">it all went by so fast,<div style=

<div style="text-align: center;">it all went by so fast, <div style="text-align: center;"> i still can't change the past <div style="text-align: center;">i will always remember everything <div style="text-align: center;">"Where are we going?" Kazuko asked. He could hear Touma's heartbeat next to his ear, felt the warmth of his body seeping into his frail and thin frame. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He felt... cherished. It was stupid, how easily hope came to him.<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">"We're going to a place where no one can find you again. Where no one can hurt you. You don't deserve more pain." Kazuko was silent, and shifted, curling closer to Touma's chest. The other boy tightened his grip on Kazuko, as if afraid he'd disappear.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">if we could start again,<div style="text-align: center;">would that change the end?<div style="text-align: center;">we remember everything.<div style="text-align: center;">everything.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Thank you, Touma."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"For what?"<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"...For caring." Touma merely paused walking for a few moments, to brush his nose against the back of Kazuko's ear, and press a swift kiss to Kazuko's forehead, before he started walking again.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"From now on, I'll make you feel cherished, warm and loved. I promise."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"I'll look forward to it," and for the first time in over several years, a small smile crossed Kazuko's lips.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: left;">would it stay there and watch me burn,<div style="text-align: right;"> <div style="text-align: right;">because i remember everything.

i can be your pain killer
<div style="text-align: right;">'cause i'm the shoulder that you cry on <div style="text-align: right;"> <div style="text-align: center;">you know you need a fix<div style="text-align: center;">when you fall down<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Nightmare were a common occurrence when Kaede slept. Waking up, drenched in sweat, a scream tearing from the back of his throat, threatening to choke him. It wasn't a life he liked to be living. He needed something to comfort him, something to fix him each time it happened.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">There was something, though.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">you know you need to find a way<div style="text-align: center;">to get you through another day<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">It all started with the soft pattering of feet in the hallway after a scream had left his lips, the soft knocking on his wood door, before it opened, a pair of concerned violet eyes peering in. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Kaede?" <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Leave me alone." Kaede had gasped out, fists curling into his comforter, curling up into a feeble ball. The footsteps had drawn closer, and Kaede flinched back, scooting closer to the wall, eyes tightly shut and body shuddering.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">let me be the one to numb you out<div style="text-align: center;">let me be the one to hold you,<div style="text-align: center;">never gonna let you get away.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Kaito hadn't listened, he never did, despite all the curses and sobs that Kaede's lips spewed, the aggressive pushes and punches, the kicks and scratches, he bore them all just to simply curl around Kaede's sweat-soaked back. Warm fingers carded through his damp hair, comforting words whispered at the nape of his neck, a fluttering heartbeat pressed against his spine.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"I'm here."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">the shoulder you cry on<div style="text-align: center;">the does that you die on.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">It became a routine, Kaito sliding into Kaede's room in the middle of the night, curling up to his shaking and sweating form, his writhing and terrified body. No matter what Kaede called him, Kaito never left. He always came back. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Hurtful things spewed from Kaede's lips, and Kaito's violet eyes only saddened every time he heard them, but he never left. He never left. He always came back. In the mornings that came, Kaito wasn't there, and Kaede found him slumbering away in his own bedroom.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">It happened so many times, that Kaede was beginning to think he was imagining it. Kaito never gave any indication during the day that he came to comfort Kaede, and each tentative question Kaede asked was met by a gentle and confused smile.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">i, i can be your painkiller, killer, killer<div style="text-align: center;">you'll love me till it's all over, over<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">It happened again, that night, but something was different. This dream was unlike any other, it wasn't a nightmare, but it wasn't a good dream either. There had been terror, expectations and apprehension. A pair of violet eyes that stared at him warmly from beside him, a gentle hand that cupped his face, the soft whisper of "it's okay" crossing his lips. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Nothing was okay. He wasn't going to be okay. You don't understand. No one does.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">When Kaito had slipped into his room later that night, Kaede had shot up out of bed, eyes wide and held out his hand. A stutter left his lips, and the boy hesitated at the door, violet eyes glimmering with worry.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Stop. Stop. Stop. Stop looking at me with pity. Stop looking at me like I'm vulnerable and helpless.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">'cause i'm the shoulder you cry on<div style="text-align: center;">the does that you die on<div style="text-align: center;">i, i can be your painkiller, killer, killer<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Kaito drew forward, hesitantly, and Kaede lashed out. Hateful words spewed from his lips, insulting words, things he knew that would hurt the boy who cared, words that would hurt the boy who wanted to help. He didn't have to help. But he did. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Kaito's shoulders were shaking, facial expression slowly starting to fall apart as Kaede continued to scream obscenities at him, and the violet-eyed boy seemed to withdraw in on himself. A shuddering inhale, and he reached out, a trembling hand barely brushing Kaede's arm.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He lost it.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">A single hit had the frail boy flying to the side, head cracking against the side of the desk. Kaito's form had crumpled to the floor, and Kaede's heart rose in his throat, heat flooding his eyes.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Nothing had happened. This was all just a dream. Like always. Just another nightmare.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He curled up, body trembling uncontrollably beneath the covers. His nightmares only became worse.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">forever, you're coming back to me<div style="text-align: center;">now i'm gonna give you what you need<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">Kaito was nowhere to be seen in the morning. There was no crumpled form on the floor, no blood on the desk nor the floor. But, there wasn't any sign of Kaito left in the apartment. The kitchen was silent, and the bathroom sink dripped water, drop by drop. The morning news wasn't on, and Kaede's heart leapt into his throat.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">It... hadn't been a dream?<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He'd hurt Kaito. All those... "dreams" he thought he'd been having weren't dreams. They'd really happened, and Kaede had ruined it all.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">the shoulder you cry on<div style="text-align: center;">the dose that you die on<div style="text-align: center;">i, i can be your painkiller, killer, killer<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He was gone. Kaito was gone. Left. Disappeared. Vanished from Kaede's life, and had taken his few belongings with him. His phone had been left on the table, and there was no note. With trembling hands, Kaede took it, powering it on. The lock screen was simple, and there was no passcode.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">A small gasp escaped his lips when he saw what awaited him.<div style="

The lock screen was simple, and there was no passcode. <div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">A small gasp escaped his lips when he saw what awaited him.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">did you find another cure?<div style="text-align: center;">did you find another cure?<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"Kaede, when you read this, I'll be gone. I think it's better for the both of us, our relationship isn't healthy. You need some time and space. There'll be someone who'll visit you later today. I hope that everything gets better.I'm really sorry."<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">"No..." Kaede's weak whisper fell from his lips, phone clattering to the table as he fell to the ground, clutching at his upper arms, body wracking with sobs.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">He'd driven Kaito away. He'd hurt Kaito, cracked his head against the desk, screamed at him, called him undeserving names, treated him like shit.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">i, i can be your painkiller, killer, killer.<div style="text-align: center;">you'll love me till it's all over, over.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">They'd been so in love, so happy with each other, until those wretched nightmares ruined everything. Kaito'd helped, but Kaede constantly pushed him away, and from day one, he'd been hurting him. Kaito had a fragile heart. He could only take so much before it broke, and when it broke, it took years for him to piece it back together.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">'cause i'm the shoulder you cry on<div style="text-align: center;">the dose that you die on<div style="text-align: center;">i, i can be your painkiller, killer, killer.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: center;">painkiller.<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: left;">there are some things that we can only bear for so long<div style="text-align: center;"> <div style="text-align: right;">before the guilt and anger begins to eat us alive.
