Olive followed King back into their new cave home before snuggling him. He had opened his wing so she could get in and now she was happy and content, his wing over her. She loved snuggles and if it was up to her she would never leave. When she realized King had wrapped his tail around hers she couldn't help but smile. This was the life, even if they were in a hive. Just then King nuzzled her. She purred along with his humming, showing she was happy. She also was purring because she knew her maturity was coming soon. She knew any day now she would be loosing her ability to purr so she wanted to make the sound as much as she could. When King stopped nuzzling her she layed her head down and moved herself up against King as much as she could, listening to him hum. She wanted to be by his side forever, and nothing would change that. Things might happen that make it harder to feel the feeling, but it would never go away completely. Soon enough her eyes drifted shut and her breathing slowed and matched with King's. It was official, Olive was falling asleep happy with King by her side.

King smiled at her behavior, she seemed happy and content, which was a sign that he hadn't done anything bad yet. This pleased him, and he let out a content sigh before he pulled her closer. He felt her breath even out and her heart slow; she was falling asleep. He wanted to stay awake and be alert in case something happened, but nothing ever did. Instead, he lay there next to her content, staring off into space. All that he heard was the water from the falls, not even a distant roar from the main part. It was peaceful up here, he now understood why the elderly dragons stayed up here.

Sorry it took so long to respond

As Olive fell asleep she listened to the waterfall. The sound reminded her of her favorite spot as a juvenile. Whenever she could, she would beg her mom to bring her there. It was pretty far away from the hive, but she had an idea. What if when her young was old enough, she would bring them to see it? They could experience the awesomeness of her childhood play place. She was sure both King and their children would love it. She countinued to think about the trip and everything that would happen as she fell asleep. Just then Olive then completely fell asleep, her mind resting from all the thoughts, her body completely still except for her slow breathing.

King woke up with a yawn and sat his head up. He turned to look at Olive who was resting against him, it would probably become an issue eventually. He would be able to get up without waking her since he is her current support. He let out a sigh, it might have been a bad idea to start this habit but he just wanted to keep her happy and content. After all, once the eggs are laid she will not be able to leave the next. Fire is too hot but they have to be kept extremely warm, the most she could do is stand and stretch for a minute but have to sit back down. He wouldn't be able to take over either, because he doesn't have a softer stomach meant for being able to sit on eggs. He wanted her to get as much rest as possible because sitting on eggs probably isn't comfortable and once they hatch they would have their hands full.

King let out a sigh before carefully standing and letting her readjust to lie on the ground once he stood. He went out to the ledge and flew off to patrol and gather some food. She would definitely need it since the eggs are draining her own nutrients and the nutrients from everything she eats.

Olive sleepily opened one eye when she felt King move. It was obvious he was getting up, but why? She was sure nothing was wrong, but she still wanted to know what he was doing. She repositioned herself so he could get up fully before she held her head up, looking at him with a confused face. Before she could ask, or even think to ask where he was going, he was off. She sighed, but knew he was probably just going to do a patrol or get food. The thought of food made her lick her lips, she would ans could totally eat right now if he was getting food. If not, she could just wait. After a minute of staring out of the cave entrance Olive yawned and layed her head back down. "Im sure he will be back soon." She said, reassuring herself. A couple minutes later she fell back alseep again.

King came back with a full belly and some food for Olive to eat, thankfully he didn't spot any ships or any humans. Normally they didn't come near the hives unless they had an armada and wanted to ambush the hive. It didn't take many dragons to sink a ship so most just took the long way around.

When King landed he brought the fish over to Olive and hummed, hoping she would forgive him for leaving her side while she was asleep. He just had duties he had to tend to and he had to go to the center of the hive and take his place. He nuzzled Olive for a moment before heading to the center of the hive and laying down on the rocky perch in the center. The female Ice alpha hadn't returned, he felt slight guilt but knew she had it coming either way so he just brushed it off.

His thoughts are filled with the idea of the eggs and remembering they will take a while to develop before they can be laid. He couldn't wait till the sight of Olive's stomach growing and see the slight outlines of the eggs showing through her stomach as the due date would get closer.

I'm sorry this took so long to respond, I recently was given a lot of responsibilities on a different site. So I've been working on my grades and trying to be the admin of a growing server. So please bare with me and my responses >m<

Olive heard humming, making her jolt her head up. She let out a breath when she saw it was just King. Okay, so maybe she had been having a nightmare. She was fine though and turned her sights upon the fish at her feet. As King walked off, probably to go do his duties as alpha, she began eating. It didn't take long for her to finish, but by the time she was done King was probably already in the middle of the hive. I wish he didn't have duties, Olive thought with a sigh. What will happen when im sitting on the eggs and cant physically be with him?.....Be alone i guess. She thought, getting up and picking up a large fish bone. She then began her walk towards the middle of the hive. The fishbone in her mouth was meant to be a toy for the hatchlings to play with. It was a sorry-for-being-mean gift. She still remembered how she accidentally made one get bit. If they wouldn't take it from her, she would give it to King to give to them. As Olive walked she took her time to actually look around her and take in the sights of the hive.
