Cinder whined when the cougar pounced, she needed to help her mate but was questioning to. She needed to keep their pups safe, she grabbed a large leaf and hid the pups under it. Cinder stood up and snarled at the cougar who was ontop on Hondo, she went for its neck and pulled away with a chunck of fur in her mouth, the cougar brought it attention to her, getting off Hondo. Cinder stayed over the pups, she growled. The cougar pounched and landed on her, before it landed on her though she raked her claws at its stomach causing it to quickly get off of her, it was bleeding now and Cinder saw it look to the forest. The cougar hissed and pounced one more time but this time it wasnt going for her...it landed with its jaws on Squeak. It picked the pup up and retreated to the forest with her in its jaws. Cinder was stunned, she heard the pup whining...them the whining stopped...

Cinder let out a raged howl then looked at Hondo with furry in her eyes. She felt a tear roll down her cheek, one of their pups was just...killed.

Hondo felt useless in the next events. He was badly injured, bleeding from his stomach, sides and legs. But either way, he got up anger rising and half ran/ half dragged himself after the cougar. He saw his pup, Squeak, lay limp in his jaws. He ran after the cougar and bit and raked his claws at his neck. Viciously killing it. Then he collasped on tue ground, sobbing at his pup's limp body.

Cinder and up to Hondo and the cougar corpse. Licking his wounds she felt a tear roll down her face, "What had gotten into that beast...?" she said half snarling. Cinder went up to Hondos face which had the limp pup in his jaws. She gently took the pup and walked over to a moist plot of land. Cinder began digging and stopped once it was deep enough, she gently placed the put into the hole and started covering her up with dirt. She was sad, confused and above all furious, if Hondo hadnt have killed the cugar she would have ripped its head clean off its weasel like body.

The bleeding was getting worse, and the pain was unbearable. He couldn't hold it in any longer. His whines were pain stricken and he was shaking. "Cinder." He gasped. "Cinder, I'm hurt. I need help." He said. Starting to feel like he was about to pass out.

Cinder whipped around to look at Hondo, she ran to him and looked him up and down. He was going to die if she didnt do something...fast. "W-what happened?! What do you need?" CInder asked worry on her face. She hadnt even been paying attention to her mate, she had been to focused on th death of their pup and the cougar.

Hondo didnt know. "I dont know." He gasped. His body hurt so much. But he knew he needed to get back to the den. But he wouldnt get there. "Could you get me some water?" He asked. His throat parched.

"O-of course, I will be right back!" cinder ran as fast as she could to the stream, there was moss. Perfect. She soaked the moss in the water and rushed back to Hondo. "Here." she said as she let him drink it. She looked over his wounds and started licking them gently, she couldnt imagine how much it would hurt but she had to do it...

"Thank you." He said lapping up the water. He knew he had no choice. She was licking his wounds, which burned like fire. He winced and growled in pain. "I need to get back to the den, or I wont survive the night." He knew he would be killed by other predators if he didnt get back.
