Another day. Another set of agreements.

The Viper found herself knee deep in some crazy shit, and yet, per her agreement with King Kong. It was finished and the agreement was sealed. The Basilisk's just kept climbing the ladder upward. Soon there'd be no stopping them. And for the Viper? That was a win-win. Could her day get much better?

Yes it could, because with about ten of her men, she was on her way to the bar. And this time with men who hadn't been to this bar yet, she'd spread them out in the bar. They'd be her lookout and backup, not that she needed backup. But, she finally had all the information she needed to get Hellhound to be her bodyguard.

They got at the bar quickly and her men went in first. One or two at a time, drawing very little attention to themselves as they took their seats. Seven stayed upstairs, while three went downstairs. If Hellhound was downstairs, well, she'd find out soon enough how much he'd put forward for his brother. He seemed pretty protective about him.

The Viper enters by herself a few minutes later, cold grey eyes sweeping the room. Then she heads downstairs. Her eyes found her men quickly, but didn't linger to long. She was looking for Hellhound. She knew he was in here, her men had reported seeing him come in. So where was he?

If he wasn't upstairs in the bar, and not downstairs in the crowd. That meant he was in the locker rooms.

The Viper stops in her tracks, was it worth barging in there? Would that piss him off more? Probably. But she also figured, it'd be better to catch him alone. Especially with the news she was about to drop on the fierce underground fighter. He'd not be happy, if anything he'd probably take a swing. Or at least think about it.

"Are you going to stand there and stare at the fight?" That came from her earpiece, a small device that was basically invisible. It was fitted on everyone that came in tonight with Viper. Designed specifically to be hidden but also easy communication. How was it activated? Well, it was always active. They hadn't figured out a way to activate it without making it overly obvious. Which meant certain conversations were avoided. Lest something embarrassing be heard.

"He's in the locker room because he's training the one who's about to come in and fight. Probably giving a pep talk or something." Leon had read the question right off her face, even though he was nowhere close to her. Gah, sometimes she was way to predictable. "Alright. Well, stand by, be on high alert." The Viper kept her voice low as she turns on her heels.

She'd head for the lockers room, and catch him before he came out. Like she said, it was better to talk to him alone. He probably didn't want anyone else hearing this information, especially after how he'd acted yesterday night about it. The guard at the door of the changing rooms simply looked at the Viper, but made no move to stop her. So there was no issues as Viper pushes the door open, before stepping inside.

"I'm planning." The scoff came out more of a laugh,"Hmm. Well, if you want to catch him in the lockers you better hurry. He's not fighting tonight, but he's in there." That made her frown, if he wasn't fighting why was he in the locker rooms?

(All is good! No worries!)

The young blond finished wrapping his hands and wrists before he stood up and took a deep breath, “Alright… I’m ready,” he said before glancing up at Dion.

“Of course you are,” the red-haired man gave an encouraging smile, “Just try to keep your nerves in check and remember what I told you.” He patted the shorter man’s back lightly as the two started making their way towards the door.

“What the fuck..?” The sight of the Viper stepping into the locker room made Dion put out an arm in front of his friend, stopping them both as his eyes locked on the woman. What could she possibly want? He’d already turned down her offer and yesterday she'd not even looked in his direction as far as he was aware.

“Dion..?” The man turned his head slightly upon hearing his own name, still keeping one eye on the woman, he refused to let his guard down around her when he didn't even know what she wanted. “Joey, get out.”

“But-”

“I’m telling you to get out, whatever she has to say it's gonna be between us. I’m not letting you get involved,” Dion cut the younger man off and that was that. Joey could sense the tension in his friend and knew better than to argue so turning his gaze down, the blond quietly walked past the woman and left the locker rooms.

The red-haired male turned his head back fully towards the Viper, crossing his arms across his chest as he glared at her, making sure that she wouldn't try to stop or do something to Joey.

This was yet another reason that he hated gangs, they never knew when to give up, he couldn't care less about what she had to say and he sure as hell wasn't letting her drag Joey into anything, the blond was just barely 18 and despite the underground fighting, the young man was still on a relatively good path in life, Dion refused to let him get mixed up with a gang and ruin his life.

“Let's just spare us both the time, I’m still not interested, I won't change my mind and whatever plan you had coming here, save it for someone else,” he told her in a flat tone, glaring down at her. “And keep other people out of this, I don't want anyone else getting hurt because you can't take a no.”

Hmm, no doubt he was surprised to see her. Both boys were, but that she didn't care about. That was her intention, to catch the Hellhound off guard. It was also something she was really good at. Throwing people off guard, well, usually.

Dion.

That was something Viper already knew, Dion's name. It had been dug up when Keys had found out all the information findable on Hellhound. She knew his name, where he was from, his family, and his history. All of that through her expert, Keys, who could find anything on anyone. Well most anything.

Viper remains quiet as Dion demands the boy, Joey, to get out. Too which Joey tries to protest too, but clearly Dion was not having it today. She keeps a calm face as Dion cuts the boy off, making it clear he wanted Joey out.

The blonde had no more protests and Viper's grey gaze tracks him as Joey walks out of the room. She made no move to speak to Joey, or even take a step towards him. She had no interest in Joey, it was Dion she came for. Besides, she had enough men in her gang. There was no point in pulling in more.

Finally Viper returns her gaze to Dion, aware of the glare. Oh he was pissed. She could tell that much. But, she didn't care. She came here for a reason and she knew that she could get Dion to work for her. Well, at least if he truly cared about his brother like he hinted at the previous night.

Sure, she was being pushy, but she was a women use to getting her way. It intrigued and pissed her off that Dion had turned her offer down, more than once, and so far he continued to do so. Especially since she hadn't laid anything new out. But, she was about to. She was curious of what Dion's reaction would be. Would he be too pissed to agree? Try to punch her? Storm out? She'd find out. Her calm expression broke into brief cold amusement at his words.

Her plan? He had no idea what her plan was. And he'd wished he never ever even thought of his brother, much less mentioned him. She did scoff at the last part. He couldn't control her, if she wanted to go recruit more, she'd go recruit more.

"Dion York."

She muses,"I'd introduce myself, but I'm sure you know me." She had no intention of revealing her real name. It was none of his concern, and even if he did know her real name, it would do him no good. Her name was power, yes, for her. Not for anyone else. If the whole world knew her real name, it wouldn't affect her.

"I come with a new proposition. One I don't believe you'll be able to turn down."

Her grey eyes come to life with a gleam. This is where it would get interesting. "Niké York." That was his brother's name, according to Keys sources. Should she give more information? Nah, if she did, it would reveal that she had no idea where Niké was. By simply stating Dion's brother's name, well, that would be enough. The seed was planted, now what would blossom from it?

“Niké York.”

The name of his brother was the last thing he'd expect to come from the woman’s lips and it was something to show on his whole face as it dropped. His eyes turned from a glare of hate to confusion, his mouth opening as if he wanted to say something but no words could make their way out of his throat.

For what felt like an eternity, but in reality wasn't more than a few seconds, he stared in silence, slowly letting it sink in. Dion didn't want to believe what he'd heard but he had, she'd said it clearly, “Niké York”.

“What?” Was eventually all he could press out, a single word in a tone filled with confusion and disbelief as he continued staring her down.

This only lasted a few more seconds though before the hate for the gang leader came back, this time doubled if not tripled.

“What the hell are you talking about?!” He growled through clenched teeth, “You fucking keep your hands away from him! Where is he? What have you done to him?!” The red haired man didn't pause to give The Viper any room to answer the questions that he was spitting out in a hostile tone, “I’ll kill you, you got that? He has done nothing! He’s got nothing to do with this so you leave him out of whatever god damn plan you have!”

For Dion it was rare to even raise his voice but now he was full on yelling at the woman in front of him, cursing and threatening her. To most it was probably pretty clear though that he was more in a state of panic and worry than anger, he hated the woman, yeah, but he was far more worried about his younger brother and what the blonde planned to do, or had already done, to him.

Letting down his brother once was a mistake he'd never forgiven himself for and he couldn't stand to do it again, whatever the woman wanted now, he would likely agree. The last thing he wanted was for his brother to be hurt because of something that he had nothing to do with.

That was also the only thing that kept the man from losing control worse and attempting to make a move on the woman, if his brother wasn't safe then he wouldn't risk his life by losing control and getting physical. The fact that she probably had her men on the other side of the door who’d kill him without blinking didn't scare him, but his brother getting hurt or worse, that kept him from beating the witch that was stood in front of him.

Bingo.

Viper had Dion right where she wanted him. His shield had dropped. Who knew the name alone could throw such a man off his game? But, perhaps Dion was a family guy, perhaps his family meant everything to him. Viper couldn't relate. As someone who never truly had a family, she just couldn't relate.

Viper waits patiently, she knew he'd eventually speak. But, at the moment he seemed to shocked to do much but stare. It was as if he was trying to absorb her words, as if he didn't really believe what she had just said. But she hadn't stuttered.

Another ripple of cold amusement flashes across Viper's face, Dion was all sorts of confused. Though she highly doubted that would last long. She didn't think he would take the news too well.

Oh yeah, he was pissed. Though, Viper held no fear of the man before her. She may be no street fighter, but she was not fragile and weak.

She listens patiently as Dion lets loose a bunch of angry words at her. Wow, so he took it that she had found his brother. Would that work in her favor? The truth was, she had no idea where Niké York was. She could track him down, she had her resources, but Dion didn't know that. Clearly, as far as Dion knew, Niké York was in the clutches of the Basilisk. For now, she was content to standing there and letting Dion yell at her.

Once Dion finally finished, Viper continued to stare back calmly at him. Gathering her thoughts and thinking of valid answers. "I haven't done a damn thing to him." She finally answers, which was true, because she had no idea where the boy was. "And your threats do nothing to me, Dion. However, here is my proposition. You work for me, you be my bodyguard, and your brother will remain unharmed."

Even though Niké was not in the Basilisk's possession, with the right resources and bargains, Viper could easily find him. And if Dion did find out that Niké was not in her possession, and try to leave, she could always threaten to find Niké. Viper figured she could find Niké faster than Dion could. She had more resources, more connections, and more allies.

Dion would no doubt fold. From everything Viper had learned from the man, he loved his brother. And the idea that his brother was in possible danger alone was enough to make the man explode. A man that Viper thought was very level headed. Viper was a very cruel women, yes, but that was just the way she was raised. She knew nothing of love, platonic or romantic, she did not know the protective sibling nature because she had no siblings. Perhaps if she had grown up different, she would feel more sympathetic, but she hadn't.

"And your threats do nothing to me, Dion. However, here is my proposition. You work for me, you be my bodyguard, and your brother will remain unharmed."

The woman stared calmly at him as she spoke and it pissed him off further. He hated seeing her so in control when he himself had no control at all, not even over his own emotions.

She wanted him to work for her, of course that's why she was here again and threatening his brother. Dion clenched his fists, using every ounce of self-control left in his body to keep himself from attacking the woman. He hated her. Hated her because he knew that she would get her way. Hated her because she gave him no choice.

“Fuck you,” he muttered as he turned away and ran his fingers through his hair, starting to pace a little. It was no use for him to try and act calm and collected, he’d already ruined that image of himself when he’d blown up at the woman.

Suddenly the man stopped pacing and turned towards The Viper again, “This is exactly why I hate people like you. You ruin other people’s lives for your own fucking benefits. You don't give a damn about how you affect others with your selfish acts, you just go on, ruining life after life yet you're never satisfied, are you now?” He questioned while glaring at the woman.

“Alright alright, we both know I ain't got a choice so yeah I’ll be your bloody bodyguard if that's what it takes, just leave other people out of it,” Dion finally muttered out.

The red haired man kept glaring at the woman, his hatred for her was as clear as ever. She had his hands tied though, and she knew it, he had no way out of this and that was exactly what the blonde wanted. Why though? That was what he still couldn't figure out, why him out of all the people she could’ve chosen, and who would have jumped at the chance too.

Maybe if Viper had been raised among normal humans, with a kind loving family, she would feel some emotions such as pity, or even compassion. But, if she had been, she wouldn't even be known as the legendary Viper.

She'd be just another human roaming the streets, just trying to make a living. At least this way, there was a thrill to her life. However, she was very hated by many people.

Including the very man that she was trying to recruit to be her bodyguard. Was that a smart idea? To recruit someone who absolutely hated her guts? Perhaps not in some cases. But she had Dion's hands tied. He was a man who cared for his brother, and as far as he was concerned, Viper had his brother and that was leverage. Leverage was everything in her world.

A cold smile flickers across her face. Those were words she's heard so many times, and she was half tempted to fire back; many have tried. But she just keeps her mouth shut. She knew she won, and there was no point in adding anything else. Even if Dion snapped and killed her, her men would get revenge.

And that would be another leverage. As long as Dion believed Niké was in their possession, he knew that if he killed Viper, her men would "kill" Niké. But Viper also knew that she was screwed if Dion ever found out that she didn't have Niké. But... She was working on that, her and her contacts.

Grey eyes remain cold and collected as Dion whips towards her. "This is exactly why I hate people like you. You ruin other people lives for your own fucking benefits. You don't give a damn about how you affect others with your selfish acts, you just go on, ruining life after life yet you're never satisfied, are you now?"

Another cold smile dances across her lips,"In my kind of life, one is never satisfied. You're either unsatisfied, or dead." That much was true, people like her always wanted more. It was just the way they were raised, it was all apart of their childhood.

Viper inclines her head slightly, but she wasn't going to make a promise. She couldn't, and wouldn't, promise Dion a damn thing. She had a thing about keeping promises too. So, she wasn't going to promise Dion that she'd leave others out of it. Things could change, and she could be recruiting soon.

Oh yeah, he hated her. But, she didn't give a shit. Her life wasn't about pleasing people and getting them to love and adore her. It was about getting the right connections and knowing exactly how to navigate the mafias. One wrong step and she was dead. But, as long as she kept climbing. Soon she and her gang would be unstoppable. "Unless you have something better to do, you will report to headquarters immediately." She states. Now that she had what she wanted, she was about to round up her men and head back anyway. She could just take Dion with them.

Disgust and hatred was all the man could feel as he looked down at the blonde woman in front of him. The fact that he had to protect her from now on was even worse, he had no problem fighting for other people if he had to but protecting someone like the Viper went against everything he stood for.

"Unless you have something better to do, you will report to headquarters immediately."

Dion clenched his jaw a little as he glared down at the woman, having to force himself to find his cool again and not snap at her once again. However he wasn't quite as successful as he'd hoped to be.

“Don't talk as if you're giving me any choices, we both know you aren't,” he sneered. “Let's not pretend I'm doing this by choice. See it for what it is, you being a sociopathic bi-”

He caught himself this time and stopped himself from continuing. Pissing the woman off would win him nothing and the one who would end up suffering for it would be Niké so it was better to shut up.

The red-haired man ran his fingers through his hair with a frustrated sigh, “I’m coming with so let's just go,” he muttered. He needed time to calm back down or he would definitely say things that he would have to regret.

Following the woman out of the locker room, he was met with Joey who was waiting outside anxiously and he glanced at the Viper before stopping by his friend and putting a hand on the blond’s shoulder, “I need to go, something came up. But you win this match, yeah? I’ll see you around.”

The man let go of the other’s shoulder and turned to follow after the woman again but was stopped by the sound of Joey’s worried voice, “Dio? Is everything alright?”

Dion looked back at the man and gave a reassuring smile, forcing himself to swallow any of his own worry and anger, “Don't worry about me Joey, I always figure things out, don't I?”

Earning an uncertain and hesitant nod from the other, Dion began following after the Viper again. The truth was that he didn't know if he would really figure things out this time, he barely had any idea of what awaited him as the bodyguard of the oh so legendary Viper. And what complicated it all was the fact that she had his brother.

Her life would become very interesting, never before had she had someone in her ranks that had hated her so. Her men respected, feared, and perhaps even loved her. But never before had they hated her. Dion would be a new aspect, and Viper honestly couldn't say that pleased or displeased her.

"Don't talk as if you're giving me any choices, we both know you aren't. Let's not pretend I'm doing this by choice. See if for what it is, you being a sociopathic bi-"

She simply stands there, allowing Dion to say what he wished. Perhaps another would have cut him down for the words he dared to speak. However, she really didn't give a shit. She'd been called any and every name known to mankind. It quit affecting her many years ago. As long as things got done, she didn't care what she was called. They could call her pretty, pretty princess for all she cared.

"I'm coming with so let's just go."

The only response was a simple nod as she turns on her heel, moving out of the locker and past the man who was waiting outside for Dion. She slows her pace slightly, but does not stop until she is out in the crowd. Staying on the edge, as her eyes land on the fight below.

Her grey eyes then move among the crowd, her men were staring right back. They were waiting for her signal, her command. The command to go home. Finally, she hears Dion joining her. She nods once, and then starts off.

In groups, pairs, and even by themselves; her men start off. Not drawing attention to themselves, but getting out quickly and efficiently. As Viper ascends the stairs, she finds her men waiting in the bar.

Leon's green eyes move from his leader to Dion. "I see it was successful." She nods,"All has gone well." Leon nods back,"Good. Because we just got report from HQ that Luciano is waiting for us. Jacob is stalling him, but he is not happy."

Lucky Luciano, leader of one of the most powerful mafia's in town. But with the alliances and resources she had, Viper was more powerful. But would Luciano recognize that?

"Let's roll." The ten men were first to leave, while Viper turns her gaze on Dion. "First day in, and you're being tossed in the deep end." A cold smile crosses her face,"Unlike me, Luciano is not so forgiving for remarks. So, unless you'd like to end up dead. I recommend you keep all your words to yourself."

Then she turns and starts off after her men, all were in the three cars they had brought. And she ducks into the middle car, leaving the door open for Dion to get in as well.

Joining the Viper and letting her lead the way upstairs, Dion kept his head down. His head which was filled with a million thoughts while also quietly cursing himself for allowing this to happen. Getting involved with people such as the Viper was the last that he wanted yet here he was, following after the woman.

"I see it was successful."

As they reached the bar, he felt the eyes of the rest of the woman’s men find him and one even spoke, talking about him as if he couldn't really hear and was just an inanimate object. He didn't say anything about it though, he just glared down at the man before taking a look around the room of the bar.

Dion’s eyes met with Mickey’s as his friend stood behind the bar, a look of confusion on the man's face. Looking back, Dion gave a look that said to not worry, something easier said than done.

Turning his gaze away, he looked back at the green-eyed fool from before, listening to the man speak about some Luciano. It also didn't seem as if that Luciano was out for a friendly conversation with the blonde woman.

"First day in, and you're being tossed in the deep end. Unlike me, Luciano is not so forgiving for remarks. So, unless you'd like to end up dead. I recommend you keep all your words to yourself."

Glancing down, Dion’s brown eyes meeting the female’s grey ones, “Maybe I’d prefer to be dead?” His voice was now calmer, just the slightest hint of aggression slipping out with his words. “He hasn't done me anything though so I have no reason to have anything against him,” he then continued.

Following the woman outside Dion considered every single little choice he’d ever done to end up here in this situation. It was as if he was being punished but what for? Anything bad he’d ever done had been for good, to help the people around him or because he simply hadn't had another choice, never had he done something bad for the sake of being bad.

He saw the Viper get into one of the three cars parked out in front, leaving the door open for him to get in too.

Now was his last chance.

A last chance to save himself from the woman in the car, he could make a run for it, try to get away. Although he did have to be realistic. There was no chance he would be able to get away before they had time to shoot him, and even worse, that witch of a woman had Niké which meant that even if Dion got away from her unharmed, Niké likely wouldn't.

With a sigh, the tall man ducked down into the car, shutting the door behind himself and leaning back. His brown gaze stayed glued to the outside, refusing to acknowledge the other people in the car and hoping that they'd do the same, he really didn't want to talk to anyone, especially not the Viper or her men.
