Thelma couldn't believe this traveler. At least he was brave, or so stupid it seemed so. He had barely flinched when Thelma had demonstrated her dory skills. Still, the traveler refused to give up his name. What was he guarding, what was he? Well, Thelma was not afraid of her name. "Fine, I am Thelma Vlahos, daughter of Damien Vlahos. Now will you please sate my curiosity and divulge your name?" Perhaps big words would make the traveler talk.
Then the traveler had the nerve to ask if it was Thelma's brand on the goat. If it was her goat, why would she ask if the boy owned the goat? And how dare he suspect that Thelma take her god's sigil as her own. No doubt a sleight like that would earn Thelma a one way trip to the underworld.
"I would never dishonor the gods' sigils, not even if I meant to sacrifice the animal to them. Besides, the brand looks gilded. My father does not have that much coin as to coat his animals in gold." Indeed, as the goat shifted, it did seem like the brand shimmered; perhaps with gold or silver, or even finely crushed diamonds. Where had the creature come from? (And yes, Thelma's taking her stick on this adventure) |

"Thelma Vlahos...", he muttered quite to himself as he tested the name on his tongue. He recognized the name. It wasn't a joyous recollection, might he add. '...Her Father is such a pain in the ass', he mentally grumbled. A Vlahos... A true blooded Spartan stood before him, and it made him feel stir crazy. A vile bitterness was ebbing away at him slowly, driving him to wish to cause some form of pain or misfortune towards the Spartan. She deserved it, she is one of them. Yet all he could do was wait, the Spartan had the advantage... She had the better weapon, better combat skill, and even the element of surprise... Atticus was no where near ready for a fight, and all he had was his mind. So he observed this, Vlahos... He could see his unwillingness to give her his name seemed to annoy the Spartan, yet still the girl gave him hers. Such a small victory felt all the more sweet to him, he was on the back foot of this exchange and yet he might just be able to turn this around. A small smirk slowly grew on his face and mirth danced in his eyes, 'She can wait for my name a little longer. Call it pay back, your Father shouldn't have been in Athens'. Winding the girl up amused him, she seemed the type to easily get tensed up and would suffer more from it. A tightly strung rope often snapped. All he needed was an opportunity and he wouldn't have to deal with this girl much longer. The Power of Pettiness reigns supreme. Atticus fell silent watching, though it was short lived when a chuckled escaped him. The foolish girl had just finished her rant about the goats rather expensive looking brand. "You say that you're too poor to brand a goat's hindquarters gold, yet you suggest I was the one who owned it. Look at me and tell me what you see?", he said plainly. [I think we might need some divine intervention honestly, lol. These two are to stubborn to be able to figure out why the Nike Goat brought them together. I am sure they'd end up fighting, most likely. xD] |
