“What-“ She starts to ask but hears howls coming from her pack. They are expecting her home immediately. “I have to go” she says to the husky dog and stands up. “You shouldn’t be out here at night. Meet me in the morning on the hill.” She shakes off the snow that collected on her fur and bounds off into the thick forest. She thought about the dog she had met and how intrigued she was by him. It was getting darker and she hoped he returned to the humans safely. She listened to the padding of her paws on the snow.

"Okay, see you," Meelo watched her runoff. He was really curious about where she was going. He smelled the air to try and find his way home, but all he could smell was wolf scent now the faint scent of humans was now covered by the snow that had fallen. He sighed and try to find the direction he came from.

Abilene ran quickly and swiftly through the forest. Bounding over fallen trees and logs she barks happily. It’s was nearly midnight and the moon has almost reached its apex. Her pack territory was some ways away in the depths of the woods so it would take her a while to get back. Slowing down she enjoys the winter scenery the oaks leaves had all fallen but the pines looked like they were growing crystals on there branches and that only made things in the forest only more magical. Then she slammed into something or someone. Another wolf and by scent she could tell it was a male full of testosterone. “Well hello there pretty...” he said in a deap raspy voice.

The big male wolf growls at Meelo. His ears were against his head and his huge teeth were out as he snarls and starts to circle him. “And what are you gonna do if I don’t?” He snarls. He circles the dog, sizing him up almost as Abilene had done when she first met Meelo. He was getting closer to him and preparing to attack when Abilene grabs his tail in her mouth and yanks it back. “You leave him alone!” She yells and bits the side of his neck. The big male overpowers her and pins her down biting her shoulder.

Turning on Meelo the big male claws and paws at his face. His big claws leave a few marks but nothing serious. He goes to lunge at him but Abilene has her jaws in his hip and yanks him. Stumbling the big male crashes into a tree. “Run!” Abilene says and bolts off into the woods. “Keep up!” She says looking behind her while still trying to see where she’s going.

Meelo felt the pain in his shoulder from the sharp claws. The cold air birned against the slightly opened flesh. He winced slighty, but quickly went back to focus. He jumped out of the way and dashed after the female. Adrenaline pumped threw his legs as his broad shoulders lifted him up over the male wolf. He inghaled a big breath of air as he ran faster. He followed her trying to stay as close to her right side as possible. He wasnt fast but had lots of stamina to keep up for a long time. "This way," he barked as he lunged to the left. The smell of human close.

Abilene follows the dog quickly not knowing where they were going. She knew she had to get to the safety of the pack but the male could still get up and chase her. They continued to run and more and more Abilene smelled a strange smell. She couldn’t tell if it was an animal...? Maybe her nose was playing tricks on her? She shook her head and kept on following Meelo until they were safe.
