The woman could only look at Frigus with a face of pity as tears fell down his cheeks. She didn't know what was going on... and it didn't sound like he knew either. She softly wiped a tear from his cheek with one hand, and placed the other on his hands that he'd clasped together, hoping to be some form of comfort to him... she was visibly concerned for him. She didn't want him to feel like this... and it'd been so random, too. He looked so... broken. She could see that he was trying to stop, and he did look just as worried as she did. "Deep breaths, Frigus," she told him gently. His attempts to speak were... not amazing, and she had to admit that. But the crackle in his voice, the one that came with tears, broke something in her... seeing this man, her friend, in a state like this, broke her. "I dont know why..." the woman gave an understanding nod in reply. "That's okay, we can figure it out," she promised him quietly as she ran her hand softly over the top of his. "But you need to catch your breath, alight. We can't do anything if you're like this." The girl wiped another tear from his cheek, and tried to give him a reassuring smile. She wasn't sure how reassuring it really was, though. "Just take a minute okay?" |

Frigus He felt her wipe a tear from his face as she set her warm hand over his cold hands clasped together. "Deep breaths, Frigus," He swallowed and nodded, trying to take a deep breath and exhaling slowly, then another but as he reached full capacity it caused him to yawn, which helped lower his heart rate a bit, making it easier for him to get ahold of himself and steady his breathing. "That's okay, we can figure it out," "But you need to catch your breath, alight. We can't do anything if you're like this."He nodded lightly and held his head up a bit as he took a breath, sitting up a little straighter as he allowed for less compressed lungs and more space. soon he was able to calm himself but he felt dizzy and his eyes burned from crying. "Just take a minute okay?" he nodded and whispered, "ok" as he unclasped his hands and held her hand with one of his, not able to make eye contact yet, afraid hed break again, "thank you." he swallowed and took another breath, "Im sorry Anya" |

Anya The girl shook her head when he went to apologise. He didn't need to be sorry... that wasn't what she wanted. She wanted him to be alright, but they couldn't make that happen unless they knew what was going on. She gently squeezed his hand and tucking a finger under his chin to make him look at her with a small smile. It was a little more genuine now, though, and kindly. "Don't be sorry Frigus," she whispered to the man. "Never be sorry for something like this, you understand?" She asked gently. She looked around for a moment or so before standing up and crouching down in front of him, so the fire was on her back. She glanced up at the sky... she couldn't see the moon, so she doubted that had anything do so with it. "Is it something to do with the moon cycle? It wasn't that long ago since there was a full moon," she told him twitch furrrowed brows before looking back to him. Her heart was still aching for him... Frigus was so... perfect to her, in every way, and seeing him in a state like this... well, it hurt a hell of as lot. "Have you seen anything like this happen before?" |

Frigus He felt her hand squeeze his and as she lifted his chin his gaze locked to hers, the blue and white hues glowing in the setting darkness, "Don't be sorry Frigus," "Never be sorry for something like this, you understand?" He searched her gaze for a moment and took in the beauty of her deep brown eyes, the depth yet golden honey coated strands of color all blending into a perfect array hues. It was extraordinary and brought him a sense of comfort in the moment, "ok" he whispered. As she crouched down in front of him he watched her look at the sky. He too looked up a moment but nothing could be seen. "Is it something to do with the moon cycle? It wasn't that long ago since there was a full moon," He shook his head, "I want to say it does.. but theres no way it could be." His despair he felt was faiding but there was a settling numbness following, like a lack of energy to feel anymore. It was strange to him. "Have you seen anything like this happen before?" he shook his head in dissapointment, "no.. I havent. nothing that could possibly be reason." he huffed lightly, "Itll pass. I hope." His gaze flickered to her as he brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, "thank you." |

Anya The woman was still rather worried for him... he seemed to have calmed down a little, but she wasn't sure what had caused it. And she didn't know how to help him with it... he was a whole other species to her. When she thought about it, she didn't know anything about how he felt, or how different things affected him in ways they might not affect her. It meant she couldn't help him if she tried... and she hated that. And thanks to her, he wouldn't even be able to go back to his own kind. People who were more likely to be able to understand him more than she ever would. A pit in her stomach opened at that thought... it was her fault, and she felt awful for it. When he thanked her again, she kind of just shook her head, brows furrowed, she leaned into his hand ever so slightly as he brushed her hair behind her ear again, and tried a small smile to him. After a short moment, the girl went and sat back down next to him and started to fish off her food... hopefully, this would pass for the boy in a while. "We'll go do something fun... perhaps that'll make you feel a little bit better," she told him quietly. |

Frigus He had completely forgotten about the food, but he was glad she was eating. He didnt really have an appetite anymore. But he knew he needed to try and eat something. He hadnt eaten much throughout the day and he was hungry before but he just lost the feeling once the strange emotional distress had set in. He lifted a piece of his share to his mouth and took a bite but as he chewed his mind got to him and convinced him that chewing was revolting and he nearly gagged. He managed to force down that one bite but he didnt want the rest. not one bit. normally it would be good and hed scarf it down within seconds. he loved fish. but he couldnt today. it just felt so wrong. "We'll go do something fun... perhaps that'll make you feel a little bit better," he nodded lightly but really he just wanted to sleep. he was so exhausted and sore. inside and out. But he didnt want to feel like that. all weak and frail. maybe if he did something it would make it better. |

Anya The woman finished eating after a few minutes... she had to admit that she was pretty hungry. She'd spent half the night alone and worrying, and while she'd gotten plenty of rest when Frigus had gotten back, she'd still been a little... lacklustre when they'd woken up. The food had definitely made that a bit better. It wasn't a formal meal like she'd gotten in the castle, but Frigus had made it nice. And he'd put effort into catching it for her when a deer would have probably been an easier catch for him. She found herself feeling guilty about that too... he'd gotten hurt while hunting their breakfast when there really wasn't any need for it. She turned to Frigus after she'd finished and started to speak before noticing that he hadn't eaten very much... well, it was almost nothing. She felt her heart drop again, a type of pain for the man that she couldn't describe. She wouldn't force him to eat anything if he didn't feel for it. She did want to get him more focused on something else, though. "Let's go to our little cove... I'm sure there's plenty to find there. Old bits and bobs we left there," she looked almost as though she was dreaming when she said that... really, she'd felt like a little kid again while she was there. There were so many fond memories... and she'd live through them all again if given the chance. Perhaps they'd pull Frigus back into his playful self again. |

Frigus He set his meal aside for later. He no longer had interest in it. It was just impossible for him to eat at the moment. He glanced over at Anya and noticed that she had eaten quite quickly. he was glad his fishing was a success on her end. She seemed to be pretty hungry. It gave him a little more purpose to have gotten a meal for her and her to have seemed to like it. In a way it made him feel more fond and connected. but that was just a wolf thing. Feeling the need to hunt for others and having it be successful is what helps bond packs and make the alpha feel more fullfilled. It was like fulfilling a deep rooted purpose that was just in his blood. "Let's go to our little cove... I'm sure there's plenty to find there. Old bits and bobs we left there," He nodded and stood as he glanced at the warm fire before looking back towards her. maybe that would be a good idea. Memories are the best to look on in this kind of mood. They bring you to a time when this feeling never existed, at least as he thought. |

Anya The woman gave a slight smile when he agreed to come. It might be good for them... she wanted to do a bit more looking around there anyway. It'd been years since she'd been there... and it made being away from her family seem a little bit easier for her. She wondered if they were even looking for her... if her father noticed she was missing. The more she thought about it, the less likely it seemed. They didn't particularly care about her. She loved them, of course, she did, but they just saw her as a way to make alliances. They'd marry her off as soon as they could for a bit of extra cash. She looked to Frigus as that thought crossed her mind. She'd much rather be here with him than with some grumpy old man. Only, right now, she was worried about him. She'd have to find a way to make him feel better. Hopefully finding something to do would do the trick. If not, she'd have to do some thinking. She smiled to him and took his hand in hers before wandering off towards the river where they'd crossed in the days prior. It was shallow enough for her just to walk straight through, so she tugged him along with her until the little white bushes came into sight. |

Frigus He was so lost it felt. He didnt quite understand how to explain it either. He was just so... out of it. He didnt feel entirely bad anymore, just... stuck. Very stuck. Like he was lost in a void somewhere other than here. disconnected from the things going on around him, although he was conscious in his actions and what was happening, he didnt feel present. like he put himself on autopilet. His gaze flickered back to anya as she took his hand, pulling him out of his void of thought. She seemed to lead him almost, which he honestly needed at the moment. he didnt have enough sense at the moment to pick out the path carefully without tripping or something. plus he didnt have the energy to think about where he was going. As the place came into sight he could almost see flashbacks flickering in of little him and little Anya running and splashing through the stream to the little white bushes. It seemed like such a free time. a time of carefree innocence. it wasnt long till that had crumbled it seems. but it was a time he cherished and will forever cherish. when the world wasnt broken. |
