Amara was standing out on her balcony. Her eyes watched as soldiers below were brought back, injured. Shaking her head she saw others heading out to fight and she cursed to herself. *How can this war be stopped* she thought. Sighing, she pulled her cloak from her closet and placed it on before she headed to the stabled and hopped on Luna. The princess headed out towards the forest that lay between the lands and slid off the mare. *Perhaps I can look for a way here to end this* she thought. With her cloak she knew none could tell she was the princess, which made this a little easier.

Lazarus watched his soldiers go to war and it angered him. His father didn't care that so many wonderful lives were being lost. Didn't care that the magic of his people weakened with every death. He stormed down into the stables, listening to the whinny of his stallion. "Come, Aries, let us soar." He said and grabbed a handful of black mane and swung his lithe frame onto the big 18 hand Buckskin alicorn. Aries tossed his head, his pitch black horn making a trail that seemed to sparkle like the night sky. Buckskin wings faded to black feather tips that also trailed like the night sky. A white owl chirped as it landed on Lazarus' shoulder. Lazarus guided Aries outside of the stable, the clip-clop of the equines hooves keeping a calm pace. Once outside, Aries spread his beautiful wings, eyes wild as he pushed off, taking to the skies. Lazarus smiled, showing candid teeth being slightly longer than most. All elves from the Flare Kingdom had longer canines. The rare humans of the area often called them vampires due to that genetic throwback from the more primitive Dark Elves. Laz guided Aries down into the forest between the kingdoms and landed. He then slid off of Aries, his snowy owl still on his shoulder. He sighed as he began to relax.

Amara heard someone nearby and looked around. Her bright green eyes scanned everything closely before she took a deep breath. "I must be going crazy" she said as she pat Luna. "Hopefully something here can help me find out what started this war, and maybe how to end it" she said as the white mare nickered happily, flicking her ears. Amara chucked as she looked around. She heard a few guards a ways back calling for her. *Of course* she thought. She shook her head she made her way through the trees, hoping to find what her father called the Blue Blade. She remembered the stories how how she was told it was stolen from her kingdom hundreds of years ago when the war started. *If I can find it, and return it, maybe we can stop the fighting* she thought. Pulling her cloak back, she made sure her crown was in her bag, not wanting to draw unwanted attention to herself. Amara knew she was getting closer to the Flare Kingdom and took a deep breath. She had never seen them in person, but heard they were rude and nasty, but with this war, she assumed they were told the same about the Ocera.

Rosemary paced nervously as she watched Lazarus leave. *The king wont be happy she thought. She had just brought the prince breakfast as she done each day since the king bought her to be their servant.

Lazarus looked up toward the Ocera Kingdom. He had heard a voice. "Silence, scout." He whispered and watched the snow owl take off towards the voice.

Silence soared silently to the Ocera Kingdom borders. She came upon a young girl with a white unicorn and landed in a tree. She watched the girl for a moment, then went back to Lazarus. She gave a small tweet, signifying an elf.

Lazarus chuckled as Silence landed on his shoulder again and tweeted. "Hello?" He called out.

Amara tensed up as she heard someone call out. *What do I do* she thought. She placed her hand on Luna nd pulled her hood over her head. "Who's there" she called back, her heart racing as she waited for a reply. *Nobody here should know who I am. If they think I am just a servant, I shouldnt be in danger* she thought as she felt Luna moving closer to her, protecting the princess.
