Looks; Standing at only 5'2, with horribly knobby elbows and knees (his reward for his only exercise being running from his problems, paired with a vicious metabolism and a highly draining magic ability), Rhys has always been overly defensive about his height. Any words against it will result in a swift (bony and painful) elbow to the stomach and an insult hidden underneath sugar-sweet words and soft smiles.
Although their natural hair color is a medium brown, Rhys hasn't had brown hair since high school, instead bleaching and dyeing it often. While when they first met Killian his hair was a bleached blond, it is currently rose-gold, with the roots grown out.
(It is hard to keep up with hair maintenance when running for your life. Sue them.)
Rhys does, however, keep an electric razor, meaning their undercut is always kept cropped short.
With a round face shape and inability to grow facial hair, Rhys used to worry that they wouldn't ever be seen in a masculine way, especially due to their higher pitched voice and tendency to dye their hair. However, Rhys ended up being pleasantly surprised. Between testosterone shots and the simple miracle of growing up, Rhys's managed to grow into their face, and developed a firmer jawline and deeper voice, which has a slight rasp to it.
Between Rhys's naturally larger eyes and his glasses (which magnify the crap out of them), Rhys eyes are the most noticeable feature on his face. They are a cool gray in color, with his glasses having a thin metal frame, and being circular in shape. Annoyingly enough, the glasses tend to slip down Rhys's nose, causing him to frequently have to push them up.

Personality; When Rhys had nothing: he still had music. Music has been a huge part of Rhys life, and was almost what he pursued as a career, although ended up backing out after deciding to lower his voice through hormone therapy. Currently, Rhys's singing voice is a slightly raspy - yet incredibly soothing - sound. When in the kitchen, Rhys will often put on music and sing along to it in a low tone.
Rhys has always been a very tactile and affectionate person. Growing up with many sisters - and being the youngest - he was always part of their pillow forts and Girl Talk, and is used to just throwing himself over someone sitting on the couch and invading their space (it was done with the intent to annoy when he was a kid). Since moving away, Rhys no longer has that source of contact, which has been mildly upsetting.
As well, Rhys found a passion in cooking and baking at a young age. As a kid, he would often make different snacks for his siblings to taste, and ended up getting really good at it. Since moving out on his own, Rhys no longer has the time (or energy) to cook like he used to, so getting a job that involves cooking at the bakery has been exciting.

Other; Rhys is the youngest of the family, with three older sisters. He is often seen as the 'baby' of the family by his sisters, since the closest to him in age is four years older. They are always checking up on Rhys to make sure they are okay. While Rhys puts up a front of being annoyed by their antics, he really does appreciate his sisters and all they've done for him.
In college, Rhys majored in Baking and Pastry Arts, with a Business minor, which hadn't helped him at all right out of college. It is only many years later that, getting a job at a bakery, Rhys has managed to put his degree to use.

Magic Type; Like most witches and wizards, Rhys has both a major and minor magic form. He mostly practices plant magic, although his major is actually cosmos-based. However, despite it being his major, cosmos magic is still extremely finicky, and personally, Rhys does not want to accidentally self-detonate because he flicked his wand the wrong way.
Instead, Rhys calls the plant magic his major. He is not able to control plants, as that would come with a true major, but he can make them grow and fuse them together. Hypotheically, Rhys could also give plants sentience, but it would be extremely dangerous for anyone nearby, as their nature would be unknown and could potentially be violent.
With their cosmos magic, Rhys can store items in what they have nicknamed "The Void." As well, they can also create small force fields and create teleportation portals. However, Rhys rarely uses the portals, as there is always the risk of stepping into a portal and not coming back out again.

Wand; Rhys's wand is a simple wand - a gnarled branch about the length of their forearm. It has curves, and mimics the shape of a branch, so it is not a straight line. At the base nestles a dark orb that has no physical form, and has a galaxy inside. Their wand represents both his power types, like most wands.
