I silently agree with her while pouting, "Wait till you start getting introduced to males then I will pick on you," I said with a pout and fell asleep.

In the morning i woke up completely rested. I had talked alot in my sleep this night but was very happy when i woke. I yawned before stretching in my nest. I then walked down to the little pond to get a drink. I then went back up to the cave and sat back down in my nest, waiting for Nightmare to wake.

I woke with a drowsy yawn, I got up and stepped out of my nest stretching. "Good morning," I chirped to Forest who had clearly been awake longer "Are you ready to greet our suitors," I said with a laugh still stretching. It didn't take long after we woke up to be summoned to the front gate by the glass.

"Good morning," I said with a smile, clearly in a happy mood. I then rolled my eyes as Nightmare joked. After a couple minutes we were called to the front gate by the glass. I excitedly walked up to Nightmare's alpha with a click of goodmorning. I then sat down, waiting for everything to start.

I greeted my alpha with a click and once again he scratched my chin "Are you fine walking to the gate on your own with a scientist or do you want me and Alpha to come and guide you?" I asked Forest. stepping through the door and into the hallway.

"I would like you to come with me, im a bit nervous," I said getting up and and scratching my neck. I then followed Nightmare through the door and into the hallway. "What do i do Nightmare? I havent meet a male raptor in so long. Especially a trained raptor. Your so chill but what if they arent?! What if they think im a no body?! What if im not good enough?!" I asked, starting to panic.

"Remember, we are the ones in charge here. We are choosing our mates that we will probably be paired with until they die. So if they disrespect you put them in their place, they need to know your the one making decisions and it's not up to them. You are the one who has to grow the eggs, lay them, raise them, and you will be the main provider and main parental figure for them. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself," I said trying to give her a pep talk "I'm calm because my brothers had to go through this process of trying to get along with a female. For each of them, they tried to put them with us but we sisters didn't approve of how they tried to boss us around. So I have technically already been through he final steps just on the other end of the spectrum. Believe me, I'm nervous too but I know the males will be able to tell through scent and speaking so you have to hold your head high and talk with pride!" I said right when we got to her gate. "You got this!" I said with a smile watching her walk into her pen with a screen and gate between the two sides.

I nodded along with her words. Shes right, i need to be the alpha of this, i said to myself. I then returned Nightmare's smile before walking into a pen with a screen and gate between the two sides. I gulped down my fear and held my head high as a male entered. The first two were a no go but then the third one came through....

He was very handsome and gracefull. He was more colorful than any other raptor ive met. He then walked up to the gate and screen which held us apart. I slowly walked up too and for a moment i felt fear coming back. I dont know what it was about him but i could barely talk. "Hi, im Azul." "Hi, im Forest," I said trying to sound confident.

I went through 5 males already that were trying to be in charge, making me put them in their place. Alpha stood in the corner of the room to observe along with a few scientists. A few times I heard their comments, they started another conversation as another male walked in. I decided to see how this new male would react to me completely ignoring him for a bit.

"Woo, she's feisty," one of the military caretakers said

"I don't know where this energy came from other than the fact she came from a back of 5 boys and three girls. She was normally the loner of the pack and could hold her own. That's why she was the hidden weapon, the only reason she didn't get killed with the rest is that she was hiding farther up the road. She was left untraced, the only time they saw her was after I called her off and she bolted. They probably only saw a piece of her tail, she managed to kill a few of their own raptors in the process too. I was beaten just because she killed a few of them," I held my head high while listening to my Alpha speaks highly of me. I was proud of the title I created for myself within the past couple of days.

"Your female has definitely become one of the most desired, and with her scale pattern I'm sure no matter what mate she gets they will be gorgeous." The Scientist said

"Yes, your female is not only desired for her color, but also for her brains. There is a long line of Military Raptors waiting to possibly get to see her." The Military man said, "She really is something, it would be a shame if she didn't choose one of the newer hybrids." He said and they stopped their conversation facing me

"She knows we're talking about her and lost full interested in the male behind her," My Alpha chuckled "The male looks like he is about to rip through the screen if she doesn't pay attention to him." The Military man laughed in unison with him. I finally decided to turn around and they weren't kidding. I gave a quick growl at the male basically telling him to calm down or else I'll bite his head off. This caused him to quickly back against the farthest wall and bow his head in submission.

"And there goes another one of the newer hybrids. You all probably aren't gonna like the last one and I recommend we watch from the window for this too." The military man said guiding them out my Alpha hesitated but winked before fully leaving the room. I sighed and continued to hold my head high, then he walked in.

"Hello there Nightmare," He said with a flirty but cocky tone

"Zier," I greeted

At first i had no idea what to do so i just stood there staring at him. After a couple minutes he smiled and said "Your a wild raptor arent you?" I nodded slowly before coming closer to the gate. "I am, and your a military raptor." He nodded before saying, "You dont know how to do this do you?" I didnt nod but just let out a low growl. "Sorry, i just thought you didnt know-" I let out a hiss but he didnt even flich. "Alright, ill stop." I then just stared at him for a while again, not knowing what to say or do. How i wished Nightmare was here.
