Every biome has it's pros and cons. My favourites are Tundra and Jungle ^^
Jungle has more mush, better feather, but also more dangerous enemies. While Tundra has bit less mush, one meh feather, but less and less dangerous enemies :3

If you were ambidextrous how would you use it?

In Tundra there are 2 feathers. Each has their own scenario. So if you shoo away the birdwatcher you get Snowy Owl feather. If you meet a boy attacking Ptargamian bird and shoo the boy away you get Ptarmigan feather-thou your wolf might decide to kill the bird too and in that case you don't get the feather.

Roadrunner feather has limited usecases, it is an option that can be used so that's nice, but yeah it is low value feather. I never used it nor sold it.

More sought after feathers are Toucan, Robin, Jay. While Eagle is good help for those who care about FMC or disposition. Snow Owl and Roadrunner ones are bit meh :'3

Ptarmigan feather will increase chance of dynamic coats only-found in Tundra.

But nothing for exclusives or crystaline

Squirrel

6 & 1/2 Years || Female || Southern Winds Group || Follower || Mentions: [Dir] Atka, Tedashii. [Ind] Arianwyn, Eyvǫr, Mavka & Rǫgnvaldr

The sunny furred she-wolf had awoken with the early dawn, her senses quickly adjusting to the weather and the somewhat familiar smells of her... pack mates? Those words felt a little foreign in her mind and she juggled a few others for a moment: group mates? Fellow southern winders? Just allies? Well, by now – whatever she called them - they were at least wolves she felt she could trust, even if it was in a slightly guarded way. Though she had been with them long enough for her to recognise most of them with her eyes shut, she didn’t quite feel fully settled with them. And, despite getting well along enough with the lot of them, she felt as if there was still something she didn’t know about this strange band of wolves. Particularly the identity and history of the group’s two leaders and their closest followers; it hadn’t taken much observation to question the immediate election of the recently arrived Arianwyn as Lieutenant, and what that might suggest about herself. Additionally, something about their insistence in remaining in this patch of territory, albeit a pretty decent area despite close pack scents, felt strange to her and had certainly caught her interest.

Although, perhaps that secrecy was only fair, considering she herself – and undoubtably many others – had her own private history; Squirrel’s thankfully was rather tame, but the fact she kept it to herself still stood for something. She still shielded a large part of her, hidden behind her bright and upbeat persona. Casting her muzzle to the sky, she waited as her mind inevitably sifted through a series of memories from her life before this group – allowing them a bittersweet moment to linger before finally casting them from her mind. She didn’t much like thinking outside of the present, with contemplating the past as uncomfortable as the fog clinging to her pelt. Despite both notably souring her mood though, they came with their own sets of advantages.

She had managed to catch herself a nice large hare in the dim light, her scent masked well in the cold fog and the ever-unpredictable shifting of the wind. Squirrel had returned to the makeshift camp just in time to see Southern Wind’s leaders and their lieutenant disappearing around a corner from out her eyeline; about simultaneously a black coated male – whom she recognised as Atka – dropped his catch on the prey pile and slunk off to the edge of camp. Emerging from the undergrowth, her yellow-brown eyes observed another male approaching her friend and her ears pricked to try and catch a snippet of his hushed words.

Her curiosity was certainly piqued, and she found herself shifting a little closer until she heard the names Arianwyn and Eyvǫr, causing her to stop in her tracks – ears raised. Now these were even more mysterious wolves connected to the leaders. Arianwyn, of course, would be the second in command behind the leading pair – and obviously a real subject of her immense curiosity, even more so for her steadily progressing, and heavily private pregnancy. She watched as the brown and black male’s gaze follow her as she left, and Squirrel's own whiskers twitched in amusement as she immediately connected the dots. The second was Eyvǫr then, the one who had arrived with Arianwyn in the midst of winter. She too certainly appeared had a connection to the leading figures, even if Squirrel could almost taste the tension in the air between them. It was possible – if her intuition was correct – that the two of them were related in some fashion. She had ought to ask some of the older members what they knew about her, but she stashed that idea away for later. It wasn’t in her own nature to figure things out too far ahead of time. If this mystery were to be unravelled, it would do so in it’s own time. Besides her meddling would be best saved for a special occasion, or else a rainy day.

Striding towards the lounging male duo without an ounce of embarrassment in her long gait, she plopped herself down into her back haunches in front of them – dropping the hare between her front legs with a flick of her tail. Grinning slightly, she tilted her head and glanced back behind her in the pale coated she-wolf's direction. It was Atka’s flickering orange eyes who had settled on the form of the snowy white she, and Squirrel wondered if there was anything more than mild curiosity in his own gaze but she wasn’t yet sure. The younger male was a little difficult to read at times in her opinion.

“So,” she muttered, turning back to avoid her intrigued golden gaze being caught by the female, “Which one of the lovely ladies do you two gentlemen have your gazes set upon? Might I add there’s no hiding it from me. I have eyes everywhere.” She nudged the hare forward, wordlessly inviting the two to eat a piece of it if they wished and swishing her tail to indicate her words were all in good humour. “In all seriousness though, I’m very curious at what you two are up to. And if it is the ladies you have your sights set on, I could totally give you lads some insights. On impressing a lady at least - I'm not going to be much help in the way of personal preferences. ”

Finnegan/1y3m/Male/Apprentice/Tags: Vlatka

Whenever Vlatka talked she had Finn’s undivided attention. His bright eyes always watched her so curiously, as if she had the most riveting thing to say. With a horde of siblings that populated the pack, Finnegan was grateful for any company he could find that wasn’t related to him. Not that his love for family could be questioned, but at his age, he was looking to be independent. Not to mention, it was clear to anyone in the pack who had a working set of eyes that Finnegan had quite the crush on young Vlatka, though he would never admit such things to anyone. Not yet, at least.

He grinned as she asked about his wolverine, his gaze glittering with pride at his accomplishment. Finn was flattered that she cared, and was more than excited to share his story, but as he opened his mouth to begin, her face suddenly very close to his, and Finnegan lost any and all ability to form words. Maples. He loved it when she called him the silly little nickname since it seemed so out of character. Vlatka was often cold and suspicious. She was not the type to give nicknames, Finnegan supposed he was the exception to her often hardened persona.

He was too stunned by the offering of the pelt and tooth that he couldn’t fine the words to respond to her kindness in the moment. All he could do was stare at her with shock. She had gifted him the pelt of the fox that signified one of the most important moments of her life thus far, and Finnegan knew right then that he would cherish it until the fur had long since lost its white luster, and until holes would be worn into the soft skin. As for the tooth, he would wear it, same as her, as soon as he had the opportunity. Perhaps they would grow apart with age, but the sentiment of her gifts would remain.

All too soon, she was leaving the den, and Finn scrambled to follow her with his own offerings. He had left his pelt outside the den to dry, since he and his mother had caught it late the previous day. As soon as it was dry, he intended to offer it to Vlatka. It was a given that he would sit next to her before the meeting began. “Thank you, for the pelt and the tooth. I think it is just as good as my wolverine one.” He smiled as he settled next to her, and he fidgeted with his offering, pawing it back and forth, “Once we’re both warriors, we can match. It can be our first earring.”

Finnegan closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He could feel his nerves getting to him, and he wished he could be as confident as his companion. “My wolverine… Mama and I tracked it. It was probably weak from winter, kinda like us.” He chuckled, and the sound was higher pitched than normal due to his anxiety. “Mama helped me set up to take it down. I was able to catch it by surprise, but it fought. Got me good on my face.” His heart thumped in his chest as he remembered what she had said earlier about his wound.

“Don't get too many on that pretty face of yours or you'll scare away the girls.”

Had she really meant it?

Finnegan cleared his throat, and tried not to think about it too hard. He already felt a little dizzy. “We rolled around in the snow for a bit, but I managed to pin it up against a rock to kill it. It was vicious. It has claws that are so long, and it’s teeth are huge, Vlat! I swear it had muscles hard as stones. I definitely won’t be looking to fight one again!” He scratched at the wound on his face. He probably should get it checked out by Kahlia or Aloe, but part of him felt like it was a display of his bravery. He hoped it helped show the Lord that he was willing to fight and protect the pack he loved.

“Hey…” He trailed as he spoke again, leaning in close so he could speak softly into her ear, “When my pelt is ready, you can have it. You gave me yours, so I don’t need it. Besides, your nest was looking a little sparse, and I’d like you to have it.” His voice was soft and sweet, as it always was. He hoped that he wasn’t giving her too much. The last thing he wanted was for her to be uncomfortable, but he liked the idea of their trade. “Just don’t tell my little siblings, yeah? Unless you want a small horde of jealous puppies clambering all over you.” Briefly, Finn wondered again if their mother would let them out that day.

He certainly hoped his mother did! He would love to see them with his parents after their ceremony so that they could celebrate as a family. “I’m going to miss our denmates. Ravindra, Maevis, Lumi… made winter a little less cold.” Much disarray had followed Sik’s new leadership, and it had been comforting to have a group of young wolves, just like him, who were lacking a place in the world. Finnegan had always been an incredibly social being, so a mostly empty den would be a big change. “I’m sure you’ll like it… you like things to be nice and quiet. It’ll just be you and I for now.”

Rena || F || Subordinate || @:Björn, Wisteria
Rena had a pleasant expression on her face watching as the young lord addressed the pack. Her tail was wagging like a young pup, excited to finally get her new rank. She laid her eyes upon the young lord his howl like a music to her ears. No matter what type of mess she was in she knew she would follow him anywhere. Through hell and back if that's what he wanted. Eyes brightly lighting up she looked over to Bjorn. He still had the irritated, embarrassed look on his face. She gave a smirk and nudged him, as if saying, "Lighten up a bit." Rena was very proud in her work of adorning his now clean and silky coat.
.
Rena's eyes lifting from Bjorn to the young pup that bounded into him. Her eyes softened at the pups excitement. Oh how she ever longed to be a pup again. To be warmly in-crossed in her mothers love. To have someone constantly considering your safety. She stared down at the pup guessing it was his niece. Rena smirked as the young one addressed how beautiful she decorated his pelt. Her eyes shimmered with pride as she held her paw on Bjorn's with FORCE. It was her telling him, "If you snap at this innocent pup I will hurt you so bad you will think twice if I'm around while your being rude." To add some more intimidation she glared straight into his eyes for an extra second.
.
Rena then brought her gaze back down to the young pup her eyes lovingly shining at them. "Isn't he so handsome? I thought the colors did quite well together! I'm quite proud in my work." She woofed excitedly back. Her every move was to match the pups excitement. If that young pups spirit was ever broken by someone she'd rip their tail off and shove it down their throat. Smiling she pushed her inner thoughts to the side falling into the young ones enthusiasm.

Eyvǫr || 4 Years || Female || Southern Winds Follower || M: Atka, Tedashii, Squirrel, Rǫgnvaldr (Ind), Arianwyn (Ind), Mavka (Ind)

A world of gray was what met the bleary gaze of the young female, a dreary appearance for what was meant to be a brighter time in her life. It was as if the past had followed, bringing with it a cloud of darkness that always seemed to loom of the days of yonder. Of course, this was a ridiculous notion. The only part of her past that followed her here – or, rather, came with – was the one thing she still wanted around… She just managed to stumble into the rest.

A life of freedom was what she sought upon leaving her old “home” but a life of war is what she found. A vengeance-driven group it was, led by none other than the brother she had failed to stand beside all those years ago. Their meeting had been pure chance as far as she was concerned, riddled with a flood of guilt and regret the second she laid eyes upon it. In her book, she was lucky to have even been taken under his wing after all she had done. Or, really, didn’t do. She, truthfully, couldn’t fault him for his desire to demolish the very foundations of her old pack. More specifically, their father. She held the same sentiment, but wasn’t crazy enough to try such a thing. And to bring others into the whole thing?...

This was not exactly the life she was hoping to obtain after leaving the hell hole that was her “family.” She’d much rather have gone to a place far away from all the grievances of her past, especially that fiend she once had to call a mate. But, a place beside her eldest brother was fine with her for now. It was safe… or as safe as one could get when said brother desired what another had. Even if it should have been rightfully his.

The chilly morning breeze wisps through the makeshift den’s entrance, shifting through the she-wolf’s pale pelt – waking her from those somber thoughts with a shiver. Shutting her momentarily eyes to let out a drawn out huff, she lifts her head from her paws and looks towards the entrance with half lidded eyes. The left side of her maw curls up in distaste as her eyes steadily adjust to the lighting of the area, distaste evident on her features. Though, there wasn’t any one thing that was actually bothering her besides the “brightness” of the early morning atmosphere. Well, that and the slight discomfort in her stomach region.

Rising to her feet, she makes her way into the clearing of the group’s make-shift camp – head high and ears oh so alert. Her strides were strong and driven, though not nearly to the degree that they usually were. Her now clear eyes flickered from side to side, scanning the forming crowd of followers that were gathering outside their dens for the say. Member here, member there, all uninteresting and not worth her time.

What was worth her attention, however, was a certain duo by the lake their camp rested besides. Her brother, Rǫgnvaldr, his beloved, Mavka (she believed her name was). The two seemed quite content to be in one another’s presence – something that the pale she-wolf couldn’t relate to when it came to her own… “mate.”

The urge to tread her way soon came over her at the sight, the desire to try and make up with speak with her brother washing over her heart. The reasoning to this sudden feeling was unknown to her mind, but surely a “good morning” wouldn’t hurt, right? One step forward and she pauses, spying movement out of the corner of her eye. Rich brown eyes follow the approach of Arianwyn, her movements slow due to… obvious reasons. There was no doubt in her mind that her old friend wished to speak with the two, though on what she could not fathom – aside from the standard “leader” business that she didn’t bother to take interest in. A dip of her head and distant speech was what the she-wolf could make out from her greeting toward the two, a “good morning” likely to be amidst the words she spoke. More words to be spoken were put on a hold, however, as the blanche female among them walked off after a soft mutter and glancing gaze. One which just so happened to pass over her, even if she did not become the center of its attention. The other two followed swiftly after.

Eyvǫr’s ears flatten at the abrupt decision, uncertain with the timing of it all. Had she been the reason for their change of location? Or were they simply looking for a more private location, away from prying, nosey ears? Whatever the reason, she pushed the pang of emotion down and kept on walking. Dwelling on such matters was not in her plans for the day. Besides, she could just catch her brother later if she so wished. Likely bearing some sort of gift as well. A rabbit would do nicely.

Her paws begin to once more, aiming to snag a spot in a more secluded part of the camp – away from any commotion or social interactions. Or, that would have been the case, if not for the feeling of eyes brushing against her pelt. Her expression shifts to one of confusion as she looks over her shoulder. A male with a pelt as black as night and eyes as bright as fire was what graced her attention along with another, leaf-litter equivalent male that seemed to be teasing him on his staring. A third wolf, one with eyes of the sun, seemed to be taking a chance to peer back at her as well. The pale wolf was sure to send a small snarl her way, though she was uncertain of the other female had even noticed as her attention shifted towards the two buffoons.

With a small growl, the fiery female turns towards the gathering group – her strider wider than it previously was. Her eyes bored into the three at her approach, her expression hardened into one of annoyance. Steady paws place her a foot or so from the group, the perfect distance for what she believed would be a short encounter. Clearing her throat to gather their attention – if she didn’t have it already, that is – she levels her gaze with that of the culprit (not that it was a difficult task, given his size), her face shifting to a new expression. It was, plainly put, one of the most unimpressed looks anyone could have mustered, with one “eyebrow” raised and the other pushed downwards. Her eyes glowed the same emotion, practically flickering in the present lighting.

“Can I help you?”

Atka | Southern Winds Group| Follower | [directly] Tedashii, Eyvǫr, Squirrel. [Indirectly] Drathellos, Vard

As the morning stretched on, the area began to stir with life. From his place, Atka watched the Commanders and Lieutenant making their way towards The Conclave, where meetings often took place. The sun peaked out briefly behind the clouds, giving some warmth to the chilly day. The faint rays of the sun caused the silver and charcoal hints in his dark black fur to shimmer. Content with the small warmth that was given, Atka shut his eyes trying to embrace the thought of warmer days.

Atka allowed himself to be enveloped by the growing activity of the day, the melodic symphony of birdsong filled his ears providing a soothing backdrop to the bustling energy of the pack. For a fleeting moment, he found solace in the tranquility of the moment. However, his peace was short-lived as he caught the teasing tone of Tedashii's voice nearby. Opening his eyes, Atka looked at male with an earth-toned pelt, amusement warming his body more than the sun.

"You may be right," Atka conceded, a glint of curiosity lighting up his amber eyes, "but I'm more curious about her. There's a connection between the Commanders, the Lieutenant, and her. I just don't know what it is, but ever since they arrived, the tension in the air has been palpable, don't you think?" Atka still hadn’t figured out how most of the wolves here came to join Southern Winds. The only wolf he truly knew within the Southern Winds Group was Vard, who came with him from their old pack, Cedar Valley Pack. Perhaps Tedashii knew more about the history between Southern Winds and Everfree. Atka made a mental note to ask more about that later as his mind strayed briefly from Tedashii, scanning for his friend, Vard.

Vard and Atka shared a bond that surpassed friendship; they were as close as brothers. Not only did they share a deep closeness, but they also shared a remarkable physical resemblance, you’d think the two were actually brothers, if not for the difference in pelt and eye color. Vard's stature, towering and robust, matched Atka's own imposing presence, making them seem like mirror images of each other. It was as if their natal pack, Cedar Valley, had a penchant for breeding large burly wolves.

After the fight in their natal pack, Atka had set off into the woods, later reunited with Vard. Through the darkest days of grief following the death of Atka's brother, Drathellos, Vard had stood by his side, a pillar of strength and support. Their bond, forged in the crucible of shared experiences and mutual trust, was unbreakable, a testament to the enduring power of true friendship.

His ear twitched at Tedashii's offer to share his own romantic inclinations. As Tedashii mentioned Mavka, Atka's expression shifted, a mixture of amusement and caution crossing his features. The Commander was a force to be reckoned with, her reputation preceding her like a shadow cast by the moon. As was her mate’s, Rǫgnvaldr, whose presence loomed like a storm cloud on the horizon, silent yet potent with the promise of impending turmoil.

“Oh, I wouldn’t dare go after that one. I like my coat on me, not flayed,” Atka quipped, a smile playing on his face. Truthfully, he didn’t know who would do the flaying, Mavka or her mate, Rǫgnvaldr. He paused, an answer to Tedashii’s question and challenge on the tip of his tongue. Yet, he felt another presence in front of him. Turning his attention to the newcomer, Eyvǫr, Atka realized she was even prettier up close. Her pale pelt held flecks of light creams, whites, light grays, and dark grays, creating a mesmerizing tapestry of colors. A patch of dark gray covered her back, mirroring the hue that adorned the middle of her forehead.

Out of the corner of his eye, Atka noticed Squirrel approaching with a hare.

"Ah Squirrel, I may need your advice later on," He chuckled softly at her playful banter, dipping his head in thanks for the offering Unsure if the Commanders had eaten yet, he refrained from indulging for now. Though, before more could be said, the she-wolf in question approached, diverting his attention.

“Speak of the devil,” Atka murmured more to himself than the other two, rising up so he was sitting on his haunches, his amber eyes locking onto Eyvǫr's. A flicker of curiosity danced in his gaze as he regarded her, his mind buzzing with questions. He suppressed a laugh as she asked if she could help him. So it wasn’t just Tedashii or Squirrel that noticed him staring, not that he was trying to hide it.

His head tilted ever so slightly as he looked down at the fiery she-wolf. “Actually, we were just trying to connect the dots," Atka admitted, his tone thoughtful. "It seems as though you and the Lieutenant have been through quite a bit before arriving." He paused before adding "There's a palpable tension in the air. It's hard not to be curious, especially for outsiders like us, coming into this pack with its own dynamics and conflicts with another pack.” As he spoke, his eyes wandered around the new camp, as if to emphasize his point.

His eyes traveled back to hers. “I do apologize if my staring was uncomfortable," Atka admitted sincerely. "I didn’t want to add any more stress to you.” He offered a small, reassuring smile. Atka wasn’t sure what else to say to her, he didn’t want to play some game with her nor cause more stress. He was purely curious.

Arianwyn

Female | 4 Years Old | The Lieutenant | Southern Winds Group | Mentions : Mavka & Rǫgnvaldr
As the small trio moved to the Conclove, the female only wondered how her dear friend, Rǫgnvaldr would react to the news she had for him. She could only imagine the whirling emotions that would be going through his mind, and she could only hope that she could be a source of guidance during this time and help him. She quite liked the Conclove, it was quiet and peaceful, with vines and bioluminescent fungi and mushrooms grew within the darkness and dampness of the cave. They would be interesting to use for markings, or just fun types of paint. And she gave a soft hum at the thought of how she could use it to decorate her healing space, because it still wasn't quite finished up and she hadn't told the others what she was building yet, but she was quite sure her Commandeds and dear friend had an idea of what was being built and why. These thoughts were interrupted by the words of her Commander, and she gave a soft sigh and amused chuckle at his apprehension and words about her chosen topic.

"Goddess, no." She practically crooned, " I would never speak about Eyvǫr with Drathellos in such a way to say you shouldn't be upset or concerned. Likely your father wanted a way of controlling your sister, but she's stubborn and resilient and she didn't take that lightly." She said with fondness and a hint of amusement, " I will say, for the most part it did seem Drathellos was genuinely fond of her - he much like you, seemed fo practically worship the ground she walked on, who knows maybe something genuine would've grown if your father wasn't such a meddlesome pest. I swear, it's like he wants to be some Matchmaker so bad - and he fails horribly at the job."

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure Phaedra hasn't gotten over you - and not to mention, I'm not sure what she will do when she finds out you're alive either. All I know that his going to be messy either way." She hummed nonchalantly, before giving a slight grimace at the mention of his mother, " yeah, she's in the dark. I would give her an excuse, but I cannot - it's plain to see to anyone that your father is doing something wrong if it leads to such broken relationships between parent and child, and even between you siblings when that's supposed to be the strongest bond that one can have besides the one with their mate." She said sagely, a tired sigh escaping her as she spoke . She truly felt pity for Igna, a mother who clearly loved her children and mate, but was blinded to how cruel and deceptive he was - it was truly appalling how two faced a person could be with another, especially one that he was supposed to love and care about. And in his twisted way, she felt that he truly did love his mate, but only saw his children as pawn pieces.

She gave an amused expression at his dumbfounded expression at mentioning he would be an uncle. And then her expression darkened to one of anger at the mention of the name of that bastard. She gave a chilling chuckle at him berating his brother and she had a few chosen words for him too saying, " As much as I loved your brother ; I can agree he was a spineless coward. Even your younger brother, Sikúnguaĸ was disgusted when I brought Arnviðr before him for his spineless against his father, and even then when your brother tried to talk some sense into him - the rift between them grew even more, I can only imagine how he's behaving towards him now. He was upset when he was chosen, and not to mention how he used to torment and tease him when they were younger but your brother never spoke a word to anyone and just took it. Thinking it would pass."

"And no, he doesn't - but he would be a fool to not know or at least have a feeling about it."

She gave a sigh and a soft inhale at the reaction she got when mentioning Sikúnguaĸ, her expression uncommonly soft and she didn't speak a word let her Commander get his emotions out about the words she had spoken. She wasn't one for having a soft touch but she needed to do something about this and say something or she wouldn't be a good friend. " I know you're angry ; and you have every right to be. But look at it from his perspective - he tried to speak out to his father, and he got physically and mentally hurt from it. And not to mention, he lost someone he thought loved him - and then, when he tried to tell his mentor, Anders, he didn't even believe him and got criticized and ostracized for his actions and I'm pretty sure Anders told your father about the accusations and you can only imagine how that went. Not to mention, your father purposely isolated him from you and your sister and brother - purposely, driving that wedge of distrust and uncaring for each other, knowing if you all weren't together then he wouldn't have to worry about you all working together to defy him." She spoke boldly and sagely to her leader, her words confident and spoke in a scolding yet caring tone. She didn't care if he didn't want to hear this. He needed to, and she would hope it helped him gain more perspective.

"Also, her name was Aiko." She said bitterly, she didn't like the female because if you loved someone ; you stood by them at their worst, especially if they were fighting for your relationship and she just left him out to dry.

" I know for a fact, Sikúnguaĸ would be delighted to get rid of your father - in fact, your father never suspected it, but that son of his is pretty devious - your sweet little brother had me to place trace amounts of wolfsbane in his father's kill." And she gives a malicious chuckle, amusement glinting in her eyes, " it will be a natural death, but he was slowly being poisoned - even though the dosing has stopped, that won't stop the effects of it becoming more evident and more dangerous. He's definitely slowing down, but he will be able to hang in their for a while longer since his poisoning has stopped for a period of time and even heal. . He definitely will be seeing his grave no matter the outcome - be it by bloodshed or by the poison affecting him."

And then she leaned in, as if telling a secret, " Not to mention, before I left, he told me he planned on exposing his father to his mother when he called a council meeting after ceremonies and proceedings and been put in place. I have a feeling he knew me and his sister were going to leave, he's always has had foresight like that - it's the only reason the pack survived that harsh winter, he had foresight to store food and used the excess snow as a sort of freezer to keep it from spoiling and collected extra pelts to keep everyone warm and fed. He also told me he's worried about the Southern Border because it's been left unattended for so long ; considering they couldn't access it until probably about now. But think about it. That border left all alone, and undefended - but last I heard from some long gone rogues, there are going to be some sentinels assigned to that border, as it's easy for rookies to defend and gain experience with that post. But it would be a good place to start scoping out for a possible reconnaissance mission." She said with a gossipy nature, knowing these words would intrigue her Commanders and please them.

"Also, should I schedule a hunting patrol? I know it's foggy but the hunters could use it to their advantage - plus I know those getting up are getting restless and some may start asking questions. So maybe we resume this meeting after we've instructed the masses ?"

Telörin | Female 5 | Subordinate(EverFree warrior)| M: Kahlia, Bjorn, Teresa, pups(dir) Sik(ind)

She listened to her niece speak. Looking over at her sister at the mention of pups. Teresa and her mate were both standing proud. Their youngest liter spilling around them. Finally out of the den. Her and Bjorn had only been allowed to visit for small amounts of time. Which was more than any other in the pack got. Her eyes lit up at the sight. "Alas I did not little flower but What ever made her decide upon it I'm glad" The sound of a howl cut through the glade as Sik called all to start heading to the meeting. She stood as kahlia bid her farewell. Off to decorate herself for the ceremonies.

Talörins own white and gold coat was adorned with moss and ferns entwined and braided in her soft fur. Brown stripes down her eyes and snout. Green and white swirls adorned her long legs. Green and red vines wrapped around them at the bases. Three red dots ran under both eyes.

She still remembered Teresa her and Bjorns coming of age ceremonies. Her own had been mighty but brought bad memories. She flicked her ears. The left had three notches at the base. A mountain lion tooth pierced the tip of it. The right ear had four notches along the top edge and a elk antler prong piercing. A peregrine feather had been hung from it.

The tokens from her own time as an apprentice. She had been helping scout for her bestfriend Kida who was a mile ahead of her tracking a female elk. The elk had been injured in the flash flood that season. Kida had vowed to take it down. To show her strength in the ceremony. Talörin had agreed to help her scout it and run it down with her. She herself hadn't picked what to kill yet for her own ceremony. She had just broken off to find a water source before hearing a howl. Kida had found the tracks again. She had finally started to catch up to Kida when her tracks where entangled with the scent of elk and a mountain lion. Her friend had found the prey but had been followed. Talörin tracked them down and when she was beginning to loose the trail she heard the worst the sound she had ever heard. The sound of a young wolfs victory howl getting cut short with a whimper then silence. She followed the new scent of blood to the scene. She couldn't see Kida but smelled her nearby. Along with her blood. A smaller mountain lion was feasting on the dead female elk. She had prowled closer till she spotted Kida. She was motionless in the brush her neck torn to shreds. She still remembered how hard it was for her not to make a sound. When the shock had faded in the moment she had just remembered the color red. The feel of her pouncing on the distracted lion. The muted sound of the roar of congratulations as she returned home with the Mountain lion kill. Then the complete silence when they had traveled to collect Kidas body. She had personally dragged her friends elk kill home. Leaving some of it for the gods at there special offering place. To hopefully send to her friend. She had asked the healer to save a piece of the antler for her.

The sound of pup laughter broke her free from her past. The little ones were busy ogling Bjorns new adornments. She made her way over. Shaking the memory's from her body. When she was a a few feet from her siblings and the pups her tail began wagging rapidly. "Good morning little sprouts" she cooed. Striding over to stand near Teresa "Good morning Sister. I'm sure you have your hands full today" she teased. Giving her shoulder a gentle nudge with her own. "Bjorn you look lovely brother" a grin split her face.

Rǫgnvaldr
Commander || Male || Southern Winds || Mentions: Mavka, Arianwyn,
Indirectly Mentions: Eyvǫr, Sikúnguaĸ, Hrǿríkr, Arnviðr, Cassius

Silence enveloped the cave, his mind adrift amidst the distant melody of water droplets cascading down the cavern walls, causing his ears to twitch. His teeth, still clenched together, had begun to grind lightly, his chest heaving quietly as he fought to keep his emotions at bay. Rǫgnvaldr never was good at regulating his feelings nor words, or rather, he never gave much thought to try. It was one of the reasons his father despised him for, after all, what is a child if they cannot be controlled.

A quick 'tsk' clucked out from his mouth, followed by another. Although his pacing had halted, his front paw began tapping the ground, each thump growing more intense until he ended with a final slam, causing a faint echo to bounce around the cavern walls. A ragged snort escaped his flared nostrils, his body settling down as he felt Mavka's body lean light against his. As she spoke if ensuring everybody's safety and reminded him to recompose himself, he offered her a silent nod of agreement.

While anger still brewed within him, his mate's gaze, so full of determination and reassurance, had allowed him to regain his thoughts. "You're right," he spoke to her, "you're right." However, as the conversation reverted back to Drathellos, and his father's little arrangement, Rǫgnvaldr couldn't suppress his distaste. Like a bad taste on his tongue, he wrinkled his muzzle.

"Eyvǫr and I always were the most similar out of our brothers. I only regret that she didn't leave a scar on that puppet's maw prior to her departure." He paused, venom seeping into his tone momentarily before vanishing. Rǫgnvaldr paused for a moment then, shifting his weight from side-to-side, as if hesitating. Finally, he took a singular step towards Arianwyn, his forehead furrowed and gaze cast downwards.

"May I ask you something, as a friend?" He paused, meeting his Lieutenant's gaze. "Eyvǫr.. Do you think that she would ever forgive me?" If he had stayed behind, even for a short while longer, Rǫgnvaldr would- No, he knew that he could have stopped the arrangement from taking place had he known about it. If he had even seen Drathellos near, it was reason enough to suspect something. Regardless, it shouldn't have resorted to that. He should have urged Eyvǫr to depart with him. Perhaps, if he had done more, he would have been able to help her. If he stayed, maybe he could have somehow helped them all. He was only grateful that his sister was with him now, free of Drathellos, and more importantly, free of their father.

"The only reason my father plays matchmaker is to ensure his lineage remains pure, or whatever he prefers to call it." Waving the comment off, his demeanor shifted once more, relaxing slightly. He would find his sister later in the day, perhaps offer a meal and apologize.

His eyes narrowed slightly at the mention of Phaedra, particularly at the remark about a messy reunion. "Phaedra will have to move on, just as Drathellos will. Perhaps they can keep one another company." A harsh remark slipped from his lips, his tail flicking as he spoke. While he held no fondness for Drathellos, he didn't harbor any ill will towards Phaedra. There was a time when Rǫgnvaldr did, but that was before he realized she was merely a pawn in his father's schemes.

It took him a while to grasp that truth. If he had understood sooner, perhaps he wouldn't have been so unkind to her. His former mate was a good-hearted person, and he wished her nothing but happiness, just not with him. He understood that now. It was cruel of his father to have set her up with him, knowing of his feelings for Mavka. The mere thought of her allowed his gaze to return to Mavka, his body still leaning against hers all this time.

"As for my mother," he continued, turning back to Arianwyn, "the idea of anybody loving the fool known as my father makes me sick." He couldn't even speak further on the issue, the mere thought of her being so blindsided making him feel ill. He loved his mother, truly, but he didn't like her at the moment. "I don't wish to speak further about her," he commented, averting his gaze with frustration.

It seemed that his Lieutenant was sharing a similar feeling, given her sudden look of anger, only it was directed towards Arnviðr. When she began speaking of his brother and the circumstance between him and Sikúnguaĸ, Rǫgnvaldr remained silent. Lost in thought, he shook his head finally, closing his eyes for a moment.

"I had no idea." Here he was, complaining about his siblings, when he was just as blindsighted as they were. "This family, I don't even know if it can be repaired. The secrets, the lies, the behaviour.." Releasing a defeated sigh, he couldn't imagine the fight that broke out between his brothers. Arnviðr was never that way towards him when they were younger, he couldn't imagine him acting in such a manner towards Sikúnguaĸ. It all linked back to Hrǿríkr, even then.

"Oh, for.." Rǫgnvaldr's ears pinned against his cranium when Arianwyn began to speak of Sikúnguaĸ. His lips twitched lightly in warning, though ultimately listened to her words. Had it been anybody else speaking of family matters, he would have snapped, but because it was his Lieutenant, he allowed it. This time.

"I understand, but unfortunately, I couldn't care less," he finally commented in monotone. "When you care for somebody, you stand up for them and be there for them. Not a single sibling did that for me." He paused, voice lowering. "You think that I didn't receive punishments from my father?" Another pause. "My siblings.. Arnviðr, oh, they were by my side behind my father's back, but when it mattered most, they weren't. Did you know that Arnviðr couldn't even meet my gaze the day I left? Couldn't even tell his eldest brother goodbye?" Spitting out his words, Rǫgnvaldr's voice raised before deflating, seemingly exhausted from his little outburst.

"I'm not saying that I can't see Sikúnguaĸ's perspective, I can. I just need more time to forgive him. Regardless of my current feelings towards him, he's still my brother, they all are, and I will help him. But just.. don't ask me to understand his actions right now." It was too soon for Rǫgnvaldr, the betrayal of his siblings still fresh on his mind. It's not that he didn't understand their perspectives, he did, it was the way it went down. The lack of support, the lack of help from any of them when they knew he would have been there for them.

"I remember Aiko," he said quietly, changing the topic slightly, though that was all he commented about the matter, the conversation shifting back to his father. His ears perked up at his Lieutenant's sudden news, head raising. "He's poisoning him?" He asked, rather shocked at the news. Glancing to Mavka, he wanted to know her input, as if needing confirmation that he was hearing correctly.

"Sikúnguaĸ is more merciless than me, I would have attacked that son-of-a-bitch and bled him out to dry." -- "Though why does he wait long enough for him to heal? Why not end it once and for all?" Rǫgnvaldr knew little about plants, it was clear in his tone. He understood the basics, such as what was consumable and whatnot, though any further properties, he was unsure of. "Why not slow him down and kill him? What is Sikúnguaĸ waiting for?" If it were possible to kill his father using wolfsbane, then perhaps a rescue mission wasn't needed after all. He could leave Sikúnguaĸ and his brothers once and for all and begin a new life elsewhere with his own pack.

The thought was tempting and certainly something that he would considering, however, for now, he was focused upon the Southern Border. "Thank you for your words of wisdom, Arianwyn. They were ever so useful." An entertained glint appeared in his eyes, his mind beginning to plot. "I will send a small group to scope it out. These sentinels, when was it mentioned that they would be assigned?" If it were still unarmed, he himself could scope the area and figure out any weak points in the land. He could do so on his way to meet with Cassius.

"As for the hunting patrol, I trust you." Giving his Lieutenant the go-ahead, he turned to peer outside of the Conclave. "We can regroup afterwards, I can hear others beginning to rise." Glancing to Mavka, he wished to confirm if the plan sounded ideal to her, something he did often.

Aloe | 1 year, 3 months | F | Apprentice | M: Mariposa, Wisteria, Theresa, Anders, Henrik
-
Aloe smiled to herself as another of her little siblings, Mariposa, came tumbing out of the nursery. She listened as the pup almost right away went into an energetic spiel about the snow. However, before she could even get a word of response out towards the talkative pup, Mariposa darted inside the den to bother her brother. Aloe shaked her head, laughing to herself at the pup's antics.
-
One thing that Aloe was not fully expecting was for her mother to finally decide that the pups where old enough to be shown to the rest of the pack. Her mom had always been a little overprotective, at least, in Aloe's opinion. She gave a gentle nudge back towards Wisteria as they prepared to head over to the meeting area. Hopefully the pups would manage to keep still and behave.
"I'll see you guys later!" Aloe said in farewell to that section of her family.
-
"Good luck in getting Henrik up in time." Aloe commented towards her father, Alder, after her mother and little siblings had left. "That pup really does seem to enjoy his lie-ins. You might end up dragging him over to the clearing." She added in quite light-heartedly.
-
"Anyways, I'd better go and get myself cleaned up before anything else happens. I don't wanna look like a mess on this big day!" The apprentice grinned excitedly.
-
After saying all of this, Aloe wagged her tail in farewell before heading towards a more quiet area. Now being alone, she could think to herself for a while. At this point she was just really hoping that she'd manage to get a spot as a healer's apprentice. It would feel amazing to walk that path just like her older sibling. After getting out the worst clumps of dirt and making herself somewhat presentable, Aloe started walking over to where the meeting would take place.
-
Weaving through the wolves that had started to take their places, Aloe found a spot with a good view. She had to admit that she was excited to see the roles that everyone got. She sat down, noting that her littermate still wasn't there. Deciding it wasn't her problem if he missed the meeting, she focused her gaze elsewhere. Aloe watched what the other members of her pack where up to for now until the meeting would begin.
