The Storm Ahead The mountains of Alaska are home to some of the bravest, most toughest dogs and people out there. Through the bitter cold, they race to deliever the mail around Alaska. From Nome all the way to Sitka. They had the adventures of a lifetime. But, it wasn't long before horror striked the town of Sitka. Sickness rushed upon the towns inhabitants and the only cure for it was in Nome's hosptial. But, a storm was bound to hit, and Sitka was over a weeks trip driving. So, what other way to do it than the best ride in town? Through the harsh cold of the storm, the dogs would have to pull the sleds and their "drivers" through the toughest of trails and across the fridgid biomes to be able to get to Sitka. But, will they survive the massive amounts of danger? Avalanches, Ice that they could fall through, Possible Starvation? Both dogs and sled drivers will endure a lot. Will they make it? The mushers must work together with their dogs in order to make sure all teams make it with the life saving medicine. Will you be of help? My Roleplay Rules - This is a semi-literate and realistic roleplay. - Follow ALL of Eve's rules - No godmodding, your dog will not be able to be buried and not suffocate - Since this is realistic, the romance pairings will be MxF - THIS IS A REALITIC RP; Which means, only dogs usually used for sleds can be used. Saige | F | Swing Dog | M: Aashvi, Shyla, Open The black-faced wolfdog grumbled as the sun hit her face. The creaky old floorboards of the cabin she laid in front of could be heard as her two-legged owners were beginning their day. Standing up, Saige sighed softly and stretched, her tail curling to her hips for a moment. It wasn't long before the door too the cabin opened and her puppies had come running out and over too her. Smiling, she'd nudge them both, "Hello lovelies.." She told them softly with a small tail wag. The puppies began to suckle on her teats before she felt the human pet her head. Saige panted happily before seeing the mail man come up and hand the young man a white flat box looking thing. Tilting her cranium, Saige would sit still. What was it for? She watched as her owner opened it and seen his face go from happy to sad. "Well.. Girl, I guess it's a goodthing you've started to wean those pups a bit." He stated. Saige blinked a few times, looking at him confused. The female then stepped forward and jumped up onto him, sniffing the flat box thing before hearing him speak once more. "Gotta get you ready too pull that sled again girl.." The man stated with a sigh. Saige whined a little, getting back down onto all fours. Aashvi and Shyla running around yipping in the snow below. Saige didn't want to leave them just yet, but, she knew she had duties. Flicking her tail, she sat down and looked up at her owner, almost as if telling him she was ready. Dakoda | F | Team Dog | M: Open The blue merle husky aussie mix trotted through the snow, her tail flicking back and forth. Her owners hadn't been up yet, and she was bored. Walking along the snowy streets of nome, the dog smiled as she saw other dogs, cats and humans move about. Jumping up onto the porch of the post office, Dakoda sat down, flicking her audits as she listened to a couple two leggeds talk. "Did you hear about that big storm coming in?" "Yeah! I got a letter for Saige just a minute ago." another guy said walking up. "Sled dogs are gonna be needed, storm got ahead of the train and blocked it, so now Sitka can't get any medicine from us." He sighed. Dakoda perked her audits up as she stood, quickly heading back home where she saw her humans. They two were talking about a letter. "Well Dakoda girl! Looks like we gotta get your harness clean!" The woman exclaimed. Dakoa barked once and wagged her tail. She loved pulling the sled! |

Koda |F| Lead Dog | Mentions: Dakoda, Hallie Miakoda lay down on the bed, watching Hallie as she clicked 'post' on her computer. Her hair was messy, she hadn't showered yet. Hallie smiled, and walked towards her. Koda wagged her tail and stuck her tongue out as Hallie scratched her behind the ear. . Hallie smiled at her, and then walked out the room. She watched the screen on the computer go black. |

T'Chali | F | Swing Dog | M: The Team, open! - Cool air moved its way through the females coat making her stop and shake her fur out. It was a bit cold out and T'Chali had figured it to be a good day for a morning stroll. Looking around the houses she was behind the female sniffed the air. It didn't smell.like anyone was around...perfect. After padding a few feet down the alley, T'Chali stopped and looked out into the crowded streets. There were two leggeds whispering as the large dog walked by, if she heard correctly...they were talking about an incoming storm? She hated the rain and she was pretty sure the team didn't either, she wondered of they would still go out with this gossip. T'Chali added her way to.the front of one of the houses in town and gave a sharp bark, maybe Koda was home with the lead two legged? The female barked again and scratched at the door before sitting back on her haunches and waited for someone to open the door for her. |

Tawny|F|Swing Dog|Mentions: Togo, Open - Black, sharp ears flickered as the sounds of creaking came from inside the cabin that lay behind the Laika. Her two legs were starting their day. The female had been up already for sometime, enjoying the sunrise every morning as the beams cascaded onto the ocean that lay out before her. The female looked to her left and eyed her brother, who was currently asleep on his back, legs dangling in the air. He never was a morning dog. She shook her head and kept her head a swivel, looking out for any dangers that could appear. - Her head turned back as the front door opened, and our stepped her two leg. She wagged her tail in greeting and sniffed the hand that was outheld to her. She tilted her head quizzically at her two leg, who was scratching his head reading a note. A sigh escaped his lips and he looked to the female. "There's a bad storm heading in Tawny. Looks like you and you're brother will be out again soon." He stated, knowing what a storm meant. It meant weeks without the use of the train that delivered much of the necessities needed for living up here. Tanwys ears perked at the word storm. That meant trouble. She gave his hand a link before looking to Togo, kicking his muzzle with her back paw. - Togo|M|Team Dog|Mentions: Tawny, Open - The males eyes shot open as pain work him from his sleep. He shot to his feet, looking around, teeth bared. "It was me you SealBrain." His sister said before standing up. "A storm has hit so you know what that means." A sigh came from Togo, who's tail began to wag. "It means we get to leave this place." He replied before stretching his body out. "Do we know when we leave?" He asked, which earned a shrug from his sister. "Duncan didn't say soon so who knows." - Togo walked over to the door, tapping it twice with his paws before the door opened. He looked up before walking inside. His two legged girlfriend had opened the door. Togo looked for Duncan, who was checking the straps that held them to the sled. He needed to make sure it was in good condition, lest it breaks on the trail. |

Hallie|F| Musher | Mentions: Dakoda, T'Chali Hallie walked into the kitchen, ready to make Koda her dinner. They pulled out a bowl from the topmost cabinet, and placed it on the marble counters. They quickly whipped her head around as a sheer bark split the air. Quickly, They opened the door to find T'Chali, barking on the porch, sitting down. They sighed. "T'Chali, did you go out again? You went out earlier!" They said, opening the door wider for the dog to come in. They watched as the dog padded coolly in, and shut the door. They walked over to where they were making Koda's breakfast, and pulled out another bowl. They grabbed the food from the bottom cabinets and poured an even amount in both bowls. They placed both bowls on the ground, and put away the food. Koda |F| Lead Dog | Mentions: T'Chali, Hallie, Dakoda. Koda heard a rustling in the kitchen, and a sharp bark. She quickly got up and padded to the kitchen, where T'Chali was eating. She padded to her own bowl, eating slowly. If T'Chali was hungry when she was done, she could give her the remains of her own bowl. She gobbled it down until it was half empty. |

Olympus|M|Team Dog|M: Dakoda Ollie blinked open his clear blue eyes, lifting his chin from his paws. After a few silent moments, he pushed himself to his paws, shaking the snow off his coat. He'd chosen to sleep outside last night instead of in the house with his owners. "Hey boy," The two-leggeds voice said as he stepped out onto the porch. The human man reached down, giving him a few quick pats as greeting, before dumping dry food into his bowl, mixed with a few cuts of fresh fish. Ollie licked his lips, his tail wagging, before quickly eating the entire bowl. After he'd finished, he stretched and began to look around. His head turned towards Dakoda's place, and he felt a stirring in his hackles. He hadn't seen her in a while. Casting a glance up at the bright sky, he began trotting towards her place. |
