He felt a small twinge of jealousy as he watched the muscles beneath the female's coat. He growled softly to himself, trying to shake it off. Kai already was a large and muscular wolf, he shouldn't feel jealousy.

Strifle | M | Alpha Male | Dark Pines | M: Kaisen & Yukon (direct), Arya (indirect) The sun etched through the treeline as the morning rose. The scent of spring became more evident with the bellowing of the forest floor. Strifle, as always, had left his den near sunrise as it was routine to stalk near the camp, scanning for anything out of place, though this was more of a warrior's role. Strifle took pride in being involved. He would perhaps ask his head warrior to start her rounds early; the woods were bristling today. As he padded down the path, the alpha's ears perked toward camp. The sounds of yelping flooded the background of nature. Strifle made out the gruff voice of one of his warriors, followed by numerous others interposing with each other. With a scrunch of his nose, the alpha stood in a small clearing near the dens, watching the cooldown. Were his warriors causing unnecessary friction? Strifle was sure to stay close this morning. Spotting Yukon and Kaisen, Strfile made his prowl over. On the way, his eyes began glinting in light suspense. With a head held high, the alpha levelled his gaze on the warriors, while briefly acknowledging the small hunter beside them. "Anything to be aware of this morning?" he questioned the two. Echo | F | Hunter | Golden Forest | Open The sun of the clearing spread across the female's cheek as she groggily opened her eyes. The faint chill of winter still clung to the air, but the sun warmed itself in recognizing spring. With a stretch of her legs and a shake of her pale pelt, Echo slowly rose and began trotting into the camp's center. The world bubbled around her early anticipation and already, Echo had the feel to begin hunting. Spring would be good for their prey supply, she thought to herself. She'd admit that with the snow nearly gone, it would be easier to find more bountiful game nearby. Padding down to a willow tree that stretched out on the edge of the dens, Echo planted herself down and licked her legs clean. She'd wait for orders from the head hunter, not wanting to disturb them should they still be asleep. |

Rameses|M|Golden Forest Pack Mentions: Aashvi, Saige, Neryth (direct) Rameses acknowledged his Alphas words, dipping his head respectfully towards her. "I hope so too." he said softly. His eyes widened as a pup came bounding towards them, his tiny tail wagging like crazy as he approached them. His small playful yips brought memories flooding back into his mind of when he himself was a pup, always enticed by the idea of wandering from the den and seeing what the older wolves were doing. "Hello young one," he rumbled, peering down his snout at the excited puppy. He made no movement towards it, watching as Neryth interacted with him. He flicked his tail with amusement as the excited little thing began clamboring over their leader. The dark warrior shifted his gaze to the she-wolf rapidly approaching the small group. This was the pup's mother. His heart fluttered at the sight of another small pup following behind her, and he flicked his tail again, this time in a small playful manner. He recognized the mother, but couldn't remember her name. He listened silently as she apologized, picking out his food and making his retreat with his apprentice. He'd barely begun eating as the same young pup as before began jumping onto his haunches, his paws searching for a grip onto the warriors bushy tail. Rameses watched calmly, lifting his tail up and wagging it above the youngsters head. An affectionate rumble purred deep within his throat. It wasn't long before the poor mother was there, retrieving her energetic pup once again. "Oh he's alright," Rameses spoke to her, his deep voice was calm, rumbling in his throat. "He's just a pup. He'll be out here with us one day. He's not hurting anything." The large warrior was laying down, but even from the ground he could see that he was still much bigger than the she-wolf in front of him. He studied her for a moment, trying to remember her name. He'd never spoken to her directly before today. "May I ask your name?" he asked the mother. |

Akela | M | Warrior | Dark Pines | M: Arya, Yukon, Kaisen, Strifle Akela would look at the female hopefully and went to speak before hearing her next words. The brutes audits would lay against his crania as he slowly made his way over to the large female and brute that were sitting there talking. Seeing the large emerald gaze of the head warrior, Akela just dipped his head with a small smile towards her, hoping she'd allow it. Though, as the alpha walked up, Akela lifted his head and gave a nod of respect towards him with an upward smile. Akela looked up to the male, hoping one day he would be able to rule. Yukon | F | Head Warrior | Dark Pines | M: Kaisen, Arya, Strifle, Akela Yukon would smirk at the large brutes words, flicking her audits before speaking, "The newies snoring is nothing compared to yours, Kaisen." She mentioned before hearing another females voice. Yukon's emerald gaze shifted over to meet Arya's heterochromatic gaze. The female was asking if Akela could go hunting with her? The large fae would think for a moment, her audits laying back before she looked back at the one she now knew as Akela. The scrawny yet muscular wolf standing there with an upward yet shaky smile towards her. "I don't care, he can do as he pleases as long as he listens when I need him." She spoke before seeing Akela perk up for something, though it wasn't long before she heard alpha Strifle's voice. Looking over at him, she'd dip her head too him. "I've been out once this morning, there is nothing out of the ordinary to me." She replied to him. Saige | F | Golden Forest | Nursing Mother | M: Rameses, Neryth Saige would look back at her alpha and dip her head in thanks before looking at her pups. After catching Aasvhi, she heard Rameses' voice and smiled gently at him. "I know, I just.. Well, I'd like to keep him in line, he can't be running around doing whatever he wants forever." She laughed a bit as she sat down, watching as Aashvi now played nearby with his sister. The smaller grey puppy soon yelping and running back to her mother, Aashvi not too far behind. Saige would sigh in slight defeat and lower her head to gently nudge her daughter before Aashvi came up and tugged on her ear. Saige would laugh softly before nudging Aashvi gently. Watching as Aashvi ran around them, Saige heard Rameses' question. "Oh, My name is Saige." She mentioned to him, flicking her audits about as she began to think. I've already known his name.. Should I still ask it? Saige soon questioned him back, "And your's?" |

Neryth | F | Alpha Female | Golden Forest Neryth watched the pair and the pups quietly, a gentle smile on her face. She stood, deciding to go for a short hunt to replenish the prey stash. Her dark coat quickly faded into the dark shadows of the still early-morning trees. Neryth appreciated her coat color, the dark fur allowing her to blend in more easily. Though the white tip of her tail and mitts stood out a bit painfully.

M: Strifle, Yukon, Akela (direct) The male growled softly at Yukon, though there was a glint of amusement in his amber eyes. Hearing his sister, his ears swiveled towards the smaller female and male. He let out a soft snort of disgust. 'Of course she would take pity on him,' he thought. 'Shes always been like that.' He sat up straighter, noticing the alpha's approach. "No sir, I haven't been out yet this morning." He met the alpha male's gaze evenly and without fear, though there was a clear glint of respect in his gaze.

Dipping her head respectfully to the alpha male as she passed him, she flicked her tail, beckoning for Akela to follow her as she trotted out of camp. Arya paused just outside the entrance, opening her mouth to let the scents of the forest wash over her scent glands. She could smell rabbit, squirrel, and a stale scent of deer. Rameses | M | Golden Forest Pack Mentions: Saige, Aashvik, Dapple (direct) "Ah yes, Saige." Rameses said, nodding with rememberance as she said her name. "Rameses," he answered her. His eyes shifted to the two pups playing. "Aashvi is quite the energetic pup," he commented as he watched them. "He'll make a fine warrior one day, if that's what he's after." The large male nodded at his apprentice Dapple. "Maybe you'll get to be his mentor one day." He told her. "You're learning quickly and well." He swept his big tail forward and affectionately swatted the apprentice with it. Rameses bent his head down to take another bite out of the deer thigh, the meat slipping easily off the bones. He looked once more to Saige, watching her. He could see that she looked tired and perhaps even a little stressed with the problems her small pups kept creating. "If it eases your mind, I think your pups are wonderful. They'll serve the pack well one day, that much is very clear." He pushed himself to his paws, flicking his tail at Dapple to signal her to wait there for a moment. "I'd be glad to help you escort the pups back to your den," he offered kindly, smirking slightly in amusement as he looked down at Aashvi. "It may help to have someone else keep the little beast at bay." |

Saige | F | Nursing Mother | Golden Forest | M: Pups, Rameses(dir) Him telling her his own name sent shivers down the females spine. She couldn't exactly tell why this happened, but, it had. Shyla, who looked very similar too her mother minus the black facemask type marking, stared at the large male. Her dark brown eyes glinting with slight awe before her brother tackled her, them both wrestling beneath their mother. Standing, Saige would look down at them and smile, "Little rascals.." She laughed softly. The mother then heard his statement about how wonderful her pups were an a small, proud smile formed on her tired face, "Thank you, I'm hoping they'll follow in the pawsteps of others and do amazing things in their lives." She told him softly before watching him stand up. As he offered to help take her pups back to the den, Saige would smile, her tail wagging as she nodded, "Yes, that'd be awesome." She replied. Hearing his joke about Aashvi, she let a small laugh exit her maw. "Yes, it would." Saige then turned and nudged both of her puppies forward. Shyla trotted forward, her tail low as she attempted to not get tackled by her brother. Though, it was not too last as Aashvi barrelled into her. Saige would just sigh and pick her son up, allowing her daughter to walk. Akela | M | Dark Pines | Warrior | M: Arya Quickly trotting after Arya, Akela looked back at Yukon a few times, wanting to make sure she wasn't mad. Though, surprisingly she wasn't. With a smile, Akela caught up too Arya, his nares flaring as scents flooded them. There were mutliple scents he could find with his nose, but all of them seemed stale. "None of the ones I smell seem fresh." He replied to her question. |

She flowed silently across the ground, making not a single sound. Even her fur didn't swish the way it normally did when she moved. Arya paused again after several feet, inhaling again, then changed directions, heading to the right off the game trail. The scent of rabbit was slowly growing stronger and fresher. |

Kodiak | F | Head Hunter | Dark Pines | M: Strifle, Yukon, Kaisen (direct), Felis (indirect) Everest yawned, her tongue curling out of her mouth and testing the misty morning air. She was always out late, and most of the pack were already roaming the the center of the camp. She spotted either Yukon or Kaisen, both of them were built well, but Strifle was equally as tall, if not as large. She often mistook Yukon and Kai for each other, particularly from a distance. She wandered down towards them, stretching out her body as she went, flexing her shoulders and feeling her muscles ripple underneath her coat. Her fur was stilll slightly ruffled, thanks to the dream she'd had last night, and the thorn in her bedding. She'd have to have another word with Felis. "Hello Strifle, Yukon, Kaisen." She said, dipping her head to each in turn. "I trust you all had a wonderful night? And does anyone know where I can find Felis?" |

Angola | F | Dark Pines | Hunter Mentions: Akela, Arya (direct) Angola had risen early, just before the sunrise. Her nose led her through the thick pine forest, filtering out different scents. She trotted quietly, moving at a decent pace. After a short while she stopped to sniff the air and the ground, trying to take in as many scents as possible. Squirrel...rabbit...and...was that...deer? She raised her head, sniffing some more. It seemed stale. But just maybe... The female hunter moved slowly now, focusing. If she could find a deer...even a small one...even a dead one...it could be of great use to the pack. The winter season was dying, and usually spring promised much prey. If she managed to find a deer she knew the pack would be pleased. Traveling through the forest brought challenges, however. That is...when others thought that exactly now was the best time to be near where she was. She could hear soft voices up ahead, so she stopped and listened soundlessly in the shadows. Taking small and quiet steps forward, Angola soon spotted Arya and Akela standing together, speaking. She waited for a few moments in silence, debating. Part of her wanted to continue on her own, but another part of her told her that maybe a small hunting group could be beneficial. Angola was aware that Akela was made a warrior not long ago, but she didn't doubt his capabilities as a hunter. She watched them for some time, trying to muster up some sort of inner strength to make her presence known to them. Right as she was about to emerge, Arya caught a scent and took off. Angola stayed put, rethinking everything again. Finally, she made up her mind. She followed opposite of Arya downwind, staying deep within the shadows of the pine forest. As she trotted along she began to catch on to what the other hunter was smelling. Rabbit. Quite fresh at that, too. Feeling the saliva beginning to gather in her mouth, Angola continued to follow her fellow hunter, still downwind to keep her presence undetected. After a moment of following, the hunter emerged from the shadows, seemingly out of thin air and flanked in beside Arya. Angola was unaware that her sudden join might be a bit unsettling or surprising for the two other wolves. She often acted without any inkling of social or self awareness until it was too late. Rameses | M | Golden Forest | Warrior Mentions: Saige, Shyla, Aashvi The large warrior gave a small grin to Saige as she nudged her pups forward in the direction of the dens. Rameses had high hopes for Aashvi. The little pup showed a lot of potential in becoming a warrior one day. Shyla on the other hand... Saige had picked up the rambunctious male pup in order to allow the little female to walk without being tackled every few steps. The warrior walked slowly, watching Shyla with interest. He gathered that she seemed to be quite shy, or at the very least MUCH tamer than her fiesty brother. He could see her potential as a possible hunter, using her softness to her advantage. "Do you mind if I come visit from time to time?" he asked Saighe a bit suddenly. "I'd be happy to help pupsit on my free time. Maybe I could run around with that one and get some of that energy out." He nodded at Aashvi dangling from his mother's mouth. Once they reached the den, he stood patiently, making sure the pups were safe from wandering off again. "Do you have anyone to help often?" he asked, lowering his voice a little. "It must be stressful being cooped up with them so much of the day. Mothers need breaks too, you know." |
