Oliver Heiser|32|Male|Royal Guard and Personal Guard of the King of Aibruvia
M: Edward Windsor, dir. Vadik Volkov, Emmeline Widsor, other castle staff, the former Queen ind.

Keen ears picked up on the sound of footsteps approaching the doors moments before the king himself opened them. The second the door moved on its hinges Oliver had already fixed his posture and was standing straight and alert. Not a word was muttered to His Grace but a polite nod of acknowledgment was given before Oliver turned smoothly and swiftly on the balls of his feet to follow Edward. Tired, dark hues took in the details of the King's attire quickly. Despite his age and recent changes in personality, Edward still was able to hold himself with a natural power that was deserving of respect. Hopefully, that respect would be given during the duration of the upcoming festivities. If not, Oliver was not afraid to quite literally smack the sense into anyone deserving of such punishment.

Wordlessly and briskly Oliver kept up with the king as he made his way through the busy kitchen, praising the staff as he went. Why couldn't Ed be like this more often? Did he not realize that it would have been what his late wife wanted? Sighing, Oliver pushed such thoughts away as he continued to follow Edward....but not before snatching a quick sip of some wine from a barrel in passing.

Reaching the room of the crowned princess, Emmeline Windsor, Oliver's gaze flickered toward the royal guard stationed outside the woman's room. The mismatched hues of Vadik Volkov met Oliver's and the two gave each other a silent, small, nod. Oliver was pleased to see that Volkov was at his post and alert. The younger knight had had quite a hard time reaching this point in his life. Oliver was quite proud of him, however. A foreigner who was able to rise through the ranks despite the distrust many other knights had? Such a feat was honorable. And, not to mention, Vadik had not only become a royal guard despite coming from a different kingdom but also had been appointed the personal guard of the crowned princess herself. Such an honor was quite coveted by many guards. Oliver was both surprised but impressed when he heard that Vadik was given that position. Though, of course, such news did cause some tension to rise within the ranks of the knights. Many didn't like the idea of a foreigner protecting their beloved crowned princess. However, like he had done many times before, Vadik took his role seriously and carried on despite the backlash. Very noble indeed.

Vadik Volkov|26|Male|Royal Guard and Personal Guard to Emmeline Windsor
M: Oliver Heiser, Edward Windsor dir. Emmeline Windsor, ind.

Vadik's gaze flickered from the window toward the sound of footsteps approaching. Right away he could tell who was coming. His years of training as an assassin had helped him master the art of recognizing a person simply by their footsteps. So when the King and his personal guard, Oliver Heiser, rounded the corner, Vadik was already prepared. Standing tall and alert, Vadik made sure to give a very respectful bow to the King.

"Your Grace," He greeted Edward before standing straight once more, "Her grace, the crowned princess Emmeline, has yet to leave her chambers." Ah...was he speaking too much? Of course, the King knew his daughter had not come out of her room. He didn't need to be told this. Vadik was already mentally kicking himself in the shins. He gave a quick glance over at Oliver but the older knight's always tired expression didn't give away any clue as to if Vadik's worries were justified or not. All he could do was bite his tongue and wait for the King's reaction.

Ezra Derringer || Aibruvian Guard || M: Dock People

All at once, it seemed, people were swarming Vesper. The tall man had begun a little chitchat, but during that time, several others had congregated. Ezra stepped away to lead Neptune's maid off to the side, placing her in irons and handing her off to one of the dock wardens with instructions to take her to the dungeons once Lady Neptune's carriage departed. By the time Ezra returned to his station beside the prince, it seemed much had already transpired.

Vesper now held a gorgeous wooden horse; the workmanship was beautiful, and Ezra was thoroughly impressed. He'd missed who had given it to him, but judging by Corin's posture and mannerisms, Ezra guessed it was from him. And he'd probably made it himself, too. Well. Carving animals meant this suitor was also off limits to his sister; she would waste all her earnings on bribes to get him to make more.

Vesper was nearly surrounded. As Ezra studied him, he noticed something was off. Perhaps it was just the roses on the prince's head but -- no, no, he wasn't seeing things -- the prince was pink. Ezra squinted for a moment, then set his jaw in a mild grimace. Oh heavens, he was giggling, too. Vesper? Bashful? Lost for words? Where had the prince gone, and who had replaced him?

Concern became real, and Ezra pushed his way through the suitors unapologetically until he reached the subject of his worry. "My lord, are you feeling alright? Do you need water?"

Or someone to catch you when you faint? Ezra added silently. His brows were knit together as he subtly put an arm out to halt the prince's fall if he did indeed pass out. This new behavior was quite unnerving; Vesper had never acted in such a manner before, and Ezra was now fearing that he'd suddenly taken ill-- in front of suitors and on his birthday, no less.

Kyro Vermillion | 23 | Suitor/ Crown Prince of Laetis | Male | Mentions: Kris, Vesper, others at dock (ind)

The fit (obviously on a much hotter bod- XD)

A breeze coming off the ocean with the occasional addition of ocean spray felt very refreshing against Kyro's somewhat feverish skin as he leaned against the side of the ship. The sudden temperature changes weren't appreciated by his desert adapted body. He didn't feel sick, really, but his body kept fluctuating temperature uncomfortably. Is this what getting old felt like? If so, he didn't want to go through it. Maybe he'd get lucky, live fast and die young.

Kyro had peeped in on Kris sleeping earlier, as he'd woken up unusually early due to the uncomfortable rocking of the ship, but he hadn't had the heart to wake his brother up to complain, tempting as it was.

As the ship docked, Kyro's hazel eyes wandered up and down the parts of the kingdom he could see, marveling at all the activity and festivities going on. It was quite a charming place, already, he was sure to enjoy his time here when there were so many people about. He smiled at the thought. Straightening up, Kyro saw Kris and made to start toward him and Vesper. "Good morning, Kris!" he called cheerfully, patting his brother on the back. Turning towards Vesper, he gave a small bend of his neck in a respectful mini bow, "Pleased to meet you, finally, your royal highness." He added, "I've heard a lot from Kris," before giving his brother a little playful dig in the ribs. Kyro turned towards the carriages before remembering the gift part of the exchange, "Oh, and, here is your gift, I believe you'll know these are a sign of power and wealth in Laetis," he held out a pair of golden serpentine arm cuffs, cobras to be exact. The eyes were shining, deep red rubies, and the slender body was hand carved, each scale carefully etched into the soft metal. He wasn't sure if Vesper would appreciate them especially, but they were flashy and Kyro and Vesper weren't particularly close, so they would do as a sign of respectful diplomacy. They had been held in a wine red satin bag to protect them from the elements, and he carefully slipped them back inside before tightening the draw string and offering it to Vesper.

Hazel eyes once again wandered away, looking up and down the line of carriages to see what other suitors could be spotted. He wondered if any princesses, maids, or even princes and manservants would tempt him on this trip. Perhaps his eyes would even catch on another suitor. He would certainly take advantage of so many similarly aged individuals of high ranking all clustered in one area. He needed a sultana, after all, to help him rule, and his parents weren't getting any younger.

“Darwin Munin” | Male | 20 | Homosexual | Royal Manservant (Thief)

M: Vesper, Ezra, + Aries (Dep) Suitors (Ind)

Aries was an odd man. A real strange guy, at that. Even still, Aries never really seemed to tense like this for something as simple as a hug. It was… odd, even for Aries. Making a mental note about that, Darwin continued on talking and carrying out his lovable antics until—

“Ow ow ow ow!” Darwin whined weakly as Vesper tugged on his ear and pulled him away from Aries. “Okay okaaay, I’ll “behave.” You’re so mean to me, Princey…!” Darwin huffed before rubbing his ear and sticking his tongue out at the prince. As Vesper apologized for Darwin— even though hugging a close friend and being happy to see them was not something that Darwin should have to apologize for at all— Vesper used his new name, Darwin, and title, Lord Munin.

Shit. I forgot I am a fucking lord now!

Darwin panicked momentarily because he had yet to inform Aries of the news and what not since Aries had only ever known Darwin as Diamond. Despite his brief moment of fear however, Aries took it like a champ and responded without giving anything away, but for some reason, Aries’s words stung. Probably because he simply said, “I do hope we get a chance to catch up, Lord Darwin,” and absolutely nothing more than that. It made sense why Aries said it, but it still hurt even though Darwin could not understand why it hurt. Darwin was silently hoping for him to say something else, anything else— the state of Brooke’s small tavern in Cryo, if Maxine the sneaky orphanage child managed to find the doctor from Wrales who was supposed to finish her surgery, whether or not Sven had asked out Idar despite the hatred he might face from his parents or members of the town, or just any updates from those that Diamond had been away from for so many months now— but he said not a word. Aries turned, not giving him another glance, and walked towards the carriage.

“Uh— Yeah, yeah! Of course!” Darwin called after him, maintaining a weak smile as Aries left for a carriage. “We’ll catch up and stuff later today hopefully…!” We’ll be able to catch up today, right? Darwin flinched as the door of the carriage was closed and frowned. Taking a big, although shaky, breath in, Darwin turned back to the other suitors as he scratched at the scar on his jaw while he forced himself to continue smiling.

Corrin, a cute, stuttering man who seemed to have forgotten to introduce himself at first, was next off the list with a small and amazingly well done wood carving that made Darwin jealous of his abilities especially since Darwin’s gift was also a wood carving. It took a lot of effort and time and now Darwin was debating whether or not Vesper would even like it. Sure, Vesper seemed to keep all his gifts every time Darwin visited his room, but how would he know if Vesper truly liked it.

All of a sudden, Vesper’s eyes lit up with relief and recognition as he saw the next suitor to approach, a man he called “Kris.” Vesper practically shoved the flowers Aries brought and Corrin’s wood carving into Darwin’s hand and Darwin could not help but look to Ezra and sigh softly with annoyance and slight amusement as he struggled to find a way to hold it all properly. Vesper’s face seemed to be glowing with excitement and joy as Kris’s gift was revealed to be a snowy owl. Darwin’s eyes went wide and could not help but step closer to get a better look. As Darwin glanced back at Vesper, the man seemed to be absolutely gushing, something Darwin had never seen before but Darwin could not help but smile warmly at. The normally calm man was beaming with excitement as he just kept asking questions with an unheard of gleefulness and— God— it was adorable.

As soon as Vesper returned to Darwin and Ezra and after Vesper loudly announced what the plan of action would be, Ezra seemed to have misread Vesper’s joy as distress, most likely because neither Darwin nor Ezra had seen Vesper like that. Darwin tried to hold himself together as Ezra seemed to be trying to support the man in case he fell back, but Darwin’s composure shattered and he could not help but throw his head back and laugh loudly.

“Ezra— buddy— Vesper’s fine! He’s just happy, ya dork!” Darwin told the man while placing his hand on his shoulder, trying to wipe away a tear he gained from laughing so hard with his fake hand. “Whooooh boy, Ezra. You are too amazingly sweet for this world!” Darwin gently patted his shoulder as his chuckle slowly subsided. “Princey, please tell me you’re gonna act like that again at some point because the both of you are so adorable.”

While still smiling like a dork, Darwin noted that three others began or returned to their conversation with Vesper. The Slerosean woman who continued talking to Vesper after he returned back to their conversation and who was also the woman to continuously berate the woman Vesper slapped earlier introduced herself as Edrys— Darwin crossed her name out of his imaginary list in his head— presented him with a knife that peeked Darwin’s interest. She was clearly trying to be polite to someone who was a rank above her, but Darwin did not care because he was far too focused on studying the knife. Darwin was a known knife-lover so seeing one that was rooted with Slerosean culture certainly made Darwin give a quiet gasp. Although the fur on the end of the knife was most certainly a wolf’s, Darwin prayed that it was just shedding hair and not that someone skinned a poor puppy just to make the one blade. Another man had also stepped forth who looked unamused, unphased, and with the scent of alcohol on his breath. He presented Vesper with a gift that was wrapped neatly, but gave few words and no name. The last person who approached Vesper was hot. You would have to be lying if you said he was not. He was clearly Laetisian and had a similar facial structure to the other Laetisian boy that Vesper seemed to know and the man only seemed to confirm Darwin’s belief that they were related by talking about Kris. Clearly it had been a while since his last visit to Laetis because goddamn the clothes truly did the man justice while being far more revealing than Darwin had been expecting or prepared for. Darwin had to avert his eyes to save himself the embarrassment of being caught staring. If embarrassment did not kill him, Vesper sure as hell would.

Second Rank Aibruvian Princess Niamh Tara Windsor|19|F|5'10|M:Cassia,zoe(ind),vesper and harland(ind),Asahi

The light from the warm spring sun shone through the stained glass windows of the west wing. Sending hundred of multicolored rays glittering across the stone floor the two young women walked across. Moving with confidence knowing she had sent Zoe to find her guard and that they would be meeting up soon in the brunch room. The sound of shoes clicking the ground drowned out as they talked and laughed about the days events and people arriving. "You helpless romantic. I don't know who I'm more worried for You or Prince Kyro. I will admit though after learning some of the Laetis dances I had Prince Kristopher send me the steps too. They are a very sultry people. I wish to visit even more." She could just see the beautiful jeweled belly dancers and smell the amazing spices and perfumes

Soon Niamh and Cassia turned to take a walk through one of the smaller private side gardens. Stepping through a stone arch into the early morning lit garden. Filled with blooming bright pinks reds and greens. "An old married couple Ey? Well if I know my brother he doesn't take the time to argue with people who's opinions he doesn't care about. So if him and this Prince Harland can debate then I should very much like to meet him." Her voice trailed off as she took in the beautiful view of the capital outside of the castle grounds bustling with color and celebratory energy. The sun rising over the distant ford. Water sparkling around the massive steam ship docked. Those same docks had small shapes moving towards the castle. The carriages would be here soon.

"Today is going to beautiful and hopefully a success." Her arm going through Cassias arm as they walked from one end of the garden to the other. Slowing her steps she noticed an Aibruvian guard in the shade no doubt cooling off. As he was quite sweaty. Oh no a tall buff sweaty guard her friend next to her was gonna loose it. Noticing it was her eldest brother Mions guard she relaxed. Deciding to mess with him as he hadn't noticed the two women. "Good morning Calzacorta" hoping she startled him. Asahi Calzacorta was one of her favorite guards to spar with because he didn't go easy on her. So catching him off guard was an accomplishment. A smile came to her face. Or a shit eating grin one would call it.

Vesper Sterling Windsor | 20 | Second Rank Prince Of Aibruvia | Male | Mentions: Darwin, Ezra , Aries, Edrys , Kris, Corin, Other Suitors [directly]

The young man had gotten out of his unusually kinder and more expressive nature when he watched Neputne with a scrutinizing gaze. He didn't like her - she would definitely be causing trouble in the castle in the future so he should expect it , and he would definitely be expecting some sort of compensation for her nearly ruining his birthday. He would demand her parents title be stripped just because of her blatant disrespect - such behavior wouldn't be tolerated in his home and he has dealt with her accordingly. He made sure to watch her closely. It seemed she really didn't learn her lesson and would find herself being humiliated again if she tried something in the future. He scoffed at her words about the maid. And watched rather amused as she was confronted by Edyrs again. Such passion and hatred towards this woman must've meant they had some sort of personal history together. Hmm . . . Interesting.

His focus was turned back to Aries when he grew bored of watching Neptune. He noticed the males face was a big red and matching his hair, and he had to admit the guy was handsome like this. And while watching the interaction between Darwin and Aries he noticed Aries discomfort with being touched and frowned a bit. It was one of the main reasons he had quickly removed Darwin. And the two talked like they were withholding information and Vesper was curious to know it.
"Lord Munin has only been such for a short time so he's still adjusting to etiquette and mannerisms still. I am honestly shocked Slerosean nobility weren't aware of the new nobleman. It was found through a background check that Darwin here was the lost son of the Count and Countess of Aibruvia. I'm sure he'll tell you all about it later." He said in a teasing manner towards his guards and noticed more suitors. Edrys was speaking to him and he readily focused on her. He nodded at her confirming her status. And then he watched as she produced her gift for him and he took the dagger with care. If one could say his eyes were shining , they were. He was a big dagger nerd.

He wasn't really pay attention to his surroundings, but he began twirling the knife in his hands with his finger before expertly giving it a little toss and catching it. It was a good and short toss and expertly catching it. He hummed softly again as he gave a smile to Lady Kolsvalk.
"That you for my new dagger it shall serve me very well." He said with a charming tone of voice .

He then noticed two young men. Corin and Pluto he thought. He gave soft and gentle smiles to the younger prince to soothe his nerves and was relieved to find him in a carriage leaving for the castle. Well that alivaets some stress - And he had to find himself resisting the urge to be bad and talk about his outfit and make a snarky response. After all in his gift box we're expensive threads and other things in them, before he could say thank you the young man was gone.

However what caught his eyes was the handsome form of a young man approaching him. Vesper couldn't deny that the man before him was absolutely stunning. Not to mention how the clothing fit upon his body in a manner that would give the gods's envy. He had blink slowly to process this. Why were there so many good looking men here. He could feel even more heat rising in his cheeks at his internal thoughts.

"Hm. I'm fine . Don't know what you're so worried about." He said to Ezra who seemed concerned about his health.

The young prince had to admire the beautiful cuffs saying, "They're beautiful! Thank you very much. Kris talks a lot about you in his letters, so I hope we can become friends now that we've met." And he gives another rare charming smile, a faint blush on his cheeks still and the rubies glittered in the sunlight as he clasped his hands together - he decided to put the jewelry on right then.

Zoe Ointero| 26| Female| Handmaiden of Niamh| Mentions: Isolde (indirectly)
As she searched for Princess Niamh's personal guard , Isolde she dreamed about the suitors. She hoped that Isolde appeared soon or she would miss the potential hot people come through their gates in those fancy carriages. She cursed to herself underneath her breath and straightened up. Isolde......
Isolde was female but had a bulky muscular build and was quite tall. How tall? Zoe would just reply "taller than me". Isolde has quite the stereotypical masculine shape, and limbs. She had light chestnut skin and beautiful cinnamon hair. Zoe was pretty sure if she searched and looked hard enough, she would find Isolde. Isolde was quite unique so Zoe searched for her. She headed to the kitchens hopefully she would be there.
Zoe s asked the cook but they just waved away and shouted "Get out of my kitchen Ointero!" She turned to the kitchen boy but she just shrugged, poor boy swans shook by the cook's shouting had dropped a plate , I was lying in pieces but when she bent down to help, he just waved her away do away she went, too quickly and too sharply as she banged straight into a pot. She groaned and half walked half stumbled out of the chaos and confusement of the kitchen . She took a big gasp of the fresh crisp air and then let it out. Zoe rubbed her head and then stared. Great just my luck she thought mentally annoyed as she couldn't scream into a void here in the real world so she had to do it her head. The king and his guard was here . Zoe was only a few feet away from them and she didn't fancy talking to them, just not today. Zoe was adamant that she wouldn't meet the King when she looked like she had just been dragged through a hedge backwards and had a massive egg on her head and a cut on her finger from the shard of the plate. She held her breath and stepped as quietly as she could back to the kitchen door.
Pluto Cadieux| 20,5 mo| Suitor from Ealison| Male| Mentions: Vesper
Vesper greeter the other people and Pluto felt like he was getting the in the way so he nodded in respect snd said clearly "I'll be on my way Prince Vesper, enjoy your day" And with that he turned and took a drink and whispered to himself "The party had only just started!" He needed to get away from the docks, there were too many hot guys around. Pluto thanked his man servants for waiting and hopped in and helped them up as it was a very tall carriage and they were only 16 , 10 years younger than Pluto himself, he didn't employed people around his own age .

Ξ Aegon Lockridge Ξ

|| 21 YO || Manservant || Mentions: Docks(inDirectly) Castle(Directly) Suitors(inDirectly) || Whereabouts: Castle > Rooms ||

Sanctify my body with pain.

A perfect example of Aegon. A manservant of age and body, his duties include many things--and not the fun specialties. Aegon decided to stay back and clean the castle, making sure everything was in place while Vesper went to greet his suitors. He walked the castle halls with a strange stance, answering questions that were concerned for him," I'll be fine..". " I'm okay just getting shit done ". Or his infamous glaring that allows words to speak for him, his infamous " Fuck off, I'm working" glare usually does the trick. Aegon could easily be described as a confusing, piece of work with little to share about himself, he; himself would even be confused about how he presented himself. Even so, Lock wore a short-cut leather jacket, with belly jewelry that hung low, allowing its end piece to swing between his thighs, and lowered baggy pants, what was keeping those pants up and not exposing what he was packing was a mere string. Luckily Lock seemed to have control of his outfit choice, for now, his hand found its way to his hips as he stared into a room that wasn't just a mess, but seemed to lack style.

" I don't get paid enough for this shit.."

But without another word, Lock did what he normally does and started cleaning, going into each room and doing the same--until he found himself standing in the very last room a bit pleased with each result. He wondered where the other manservants were, probably clinging themselves onto Vesper like flies to a piece of leftover meat. Lock scoffed a snicker and shook his head. But who could blame them? Lock was just like that, well until he realized that love doesn't exist and only pain and suffering took the place where love festers. He found the thought of clinging to someone a bother and decided to further example why, he was too busy trying to get this damn food in the right place," If I don't see those buns in the right place, I'm going to claw your eyes out!", His tone was tranquil, yet a hint of solemnity claimed his throat.

He has hoped to be paired with another manservant to take care of all these needs, maybe even a handmaiden. Yet he felt as though he was dealing with everything himself---which he didn't mind. Remember, he "enjoys" this, like a sick twisted kink only sick, twisted people would like. Lock couldn't doubt his duties.

Even if he likes to say he's okay, in truth--Aegon would rather not be sober while doing his work; he would contemplate the thought of growing old, and then the introspection of dying would grow and spread like a rotten disease.

Thinking he had time to think about his life, Aegon now realized his whole life was wasted, and for what? To make other people comfortable, but he enjoys this.

Aegon found himself walking by an open window and gazed out into the real world, the breeze was just perfect; the weather was pleasant. But something caught his eye, just below the gatherings; he noticed specks of people by the docks and gritted his teeth--he wasn't even half done setting up everything. With his job and title on the line, he stood there glaring down at them, watching the smallest sign of them returning to the castle and seeing his many failures.

He'll be damned. Aegon would rather burn in hell for his sins to come than allow a bunch of people to judge his castle. He pulled himself away from the window and rushed to the kitchen," If you don't move your sorry asses and make sure these bastards are well-fed and stuffed, I'm going to shove my foot so far up someone's ass--" He barely finished what he was saying before having a line of cooks rushing out. His eyes followed each one, just so he knows who ass his foot will be greeting.

The brute had yet to comb through his shaggy hair, with little to no effort; he gave his curls a big shake and managed to have his hair covering his hazel eyes.

" Now I'm blind "

A mere joke between his family. Lockridge's was prone to their many inside jokes, a few Aegon could stand, and others--Aegon himself has to wish death would strike now. The most noticeable one, that anyone could detect is when Lockridge would pull the other hair in front of their eyes and assume they're blind. Normally Aegon would be the victim of this joke, once just enjoying some tea in a garden awaiting Vesper--Aegon's brother Hergon would grab his shoulders while Eudora grabbed a handful of his hair and pull it in front of his eyes--blinding the young Aegon who would usually cry.

This could be seen as a puckish manner between juveniles, but as the days went on--it became something Aegon despised. He hated being struck from behind, only to be blinded by his own hair. It was nerve-racking having to look over your shoulder each passing day--scared your sister and brother were going to attack out of nowhere. And then one day, they decided to play a little too rough with the delicate Aegon.

That day would always bedevil Aegon, he was just 18 years old, still serving Vesper and singing by the serene docks; lingering for the sunset to show its face so Aegon could be the first to witness superiority. And yes he was an irreparable sweetheart at this age. They decided it was perfect to sneak up on him while he was singing, harmonizing each note just perfectly. If Aegon could travel back in time to save himself, he would do it a million times. If only his mind told him to turn around;

" Stop singing fool and turn around! You're going to get hurt! "

Impairment was something this young man didn't think could happen, he was a gullible 18-year-old with high hopes, oh how so much has changed. Hergon and Eudora have to have coordinated this shit, there was no way this just happened; now that Aegon considered more about this thought, he was convinced this wasn't just kids being kids.

His eyes stared into the open thought, he could see it happening all over again as if he could reach and touch his old self the self that would smile and dream peacefully. The self didn't just think this was a job but a chance to find love within the walls of this castle. Oh, how he missed that young man, the type to joke and never would hide his feelings. The type of young man he used to be, a fun; open and stress-free version of Aegon. He stared across the kitchen and noticed he was the only one staring into the past, he stepped closer and clenched his jaw; even if he could change the past--what would become of his family bond?

He stared back up, and as the young man was blinded by the sunset arising and the hope things were going too well; Eudora and Hergon had other plans.

" He's too near the docks, we should just leave him alone ", Hergon spoke.

" He'll be fine, plus he looks weird just standing there"

Eudora was the type of girl who bonded with guys more than girls. She was the type to be seen as " one of the guys". Her long black hair was pulled into a styled diadem, while her flower crown lay peacefully on her head. Even at a young age, she annoyed almost everyone with her tricks and jokes. And not the funny jokes, these jokes were harmful and rude--she had no boundaries set as a child; Cryus was always denying she was his--and Piper would try her best to raise a lady. But to no help, Eudora started to act out and hung around a bad crowd.

Eudora's steps were careful and slow, while Hergon's steps were unsure and wary. Did he know?

He knew!

As the young Aegon stopped his harmonizing, the only sound left in the air was four different sounds--from three different people. It happened so fast--Hergon blinded Aegon with his own hair, and the first sound was his laughter. The second sound was Aegon growling, the third was Eudora shoving Aegon forward, and well the last sound belonged to Aegon.

Being shoved body first into the cold shivering waters was never a kink Aegon had, blinded by his hair-- and never learning how to swim; the sound was a dreaded screech, a pleading one to be correct. And as everything unfolded, Neg--Aegon cat came dashing from the corner hearing their owner screeching, the cat only paused and stared into the water meowing and snarling loudly, as Eudora watched in horror as Hergon dived into the deep dampness for his brother.

Eudora could have easily saved Aegon, she was the best swimmer; but she froze in her place--as if everything she has ever done finally had a cruel meaning. The only thing she did was stand frozen in shock as if she was the one facing the fear of drowning.

All Aegon remembers or chooses to remember due to the amount of stress and trauma that one bright morning brought him, was Hergon moving his hair from his eyes and reassuring him, but that's not what really happened--what really happened was Hergon yelling at Eudora, calling her a crazy witch and how easily she could have murdered the only Lockridge who had a chance at happiness.

Eudora's response was crueler than intended on being," One less Lockridge to disappoint father,"

Aegon's eyes showed signs of life again, he shook the feeling and smiled as Neg rubbed against his leg," Let's go finish",

---

Aegon's life wasn't always a menace, he would only complain about the mess and the attendance but otherwise, he usually kept his mouth shut. He would rather form or engage in a conversation--not because he was scared too, no. He would just get bored and decided it's best to just listen rather than contribute much. He's easily seen as quiet, the type to get the job done, all business with no pleasure. A bit of a sack really, but what's there to do now that he's an adult? He's the type of man now that wants to settle down, have kids--marry some pretty thang. Flirting doesn't come easy when you're as blunt and as ready to just the broom as Aegon.

Aegon's life is somewhat broad, he's always wanted to be something more--and this is as real as he'll ever get; in truth, he was hoping to charm a royal and see how that goes; but finding the time to scheme and plot was a bit much from someone who used to believe in true love rather than true scoring. But that's a promise that he'll be one of the greatest.

A Lockridge will always find a way, or so his father says. Aegon's relationship status with his father is ghastly scarring. Aegon might have been blessed with his father's good looks and perfect body posture; but that was never good enough for Cryus Lockridge, the blah blah of the blah blah. Who gives a flying fuck where Cryus originated from; all the information about him to know is that he's a vicious piece of shit. A careless father who has favorites. The thought f his mother--Piper having another Lockridge with this man, sickens Aegon. Another disappointment cursed by their last name. But Hope Lockridge would be different, she would be better than them. She would bring what her name means to their family. Hope was just an infant, so Aegon only saw her once--and that was when Piper was expecting. He's never seen his mother so happy, not even when she was pregnant with Eudora who would act out against the new arrival. Hergon was content with Hope's appearance, the bastard was a shell that couldn't be damaged.

Walking the castle halls awaiting on the suitors, Aegon adjusted his outfit and placed a sweet smile on his face; wondering if the suitors would love an encore or a psalm. He wanted them as comfortable as possible. Especially for Vesper, the thought of letting him down couldn't be visualized by Aegon; he wanted the prince to smile, even if it was just a little snicker. Proving himself was never a thought to be formed, Aegon just loved his job; it would open a vast door to meet his soulmate.

And at last, the day has come, a room filled with people who would hear his voice; a vast amount of people to harmonize too, his chorale would impress them. He took a glance around and went to finish getting ready.

Asahi Calzacorta//Male//Guard//M:Niamh,Cassia

Asahi took a few gentle glances at the shaded garden he was in. The beautiful plants made him gently smile. Asahi was always one for appreciating the beauty in things, even if it was as slight as flowers or trees while taking a small break during a shift. He let his gaze flow over the different shrubbery and extended a hand to touch a petal of a flower. His calloused hands brushed over the dainty life.

"Good morning Calzacorta."

Almost instantly Asahi snapped his hand away from the flower and fixed himself erect. Coming out of the trance, he inwardly scolded himself for not noticing someone was approaching. Even before he turned around he knew it was Princess Niamh. Her voice as familiar as always.

Now facing the princess and her handmaiden, he attempted to wipe the surprise from his face and beamed instead. He almost rolled his eyes at Niamh's smirk. She was enjoying his scramble to put himself together. Asahi and Princess Niamh were often sparring partners, and Asahi had great fun during their matches. Not only was the fighting fun, but their conversations. Asahi loved listening to people talk about their ideas and experiences. Almost like he was living vicariously through them.

"Good morning Princess." A dip of his head, "Cassia." Another dip.

"How are the pair of you this morning? Excited for the day?"

When Suna woke up, she could tell practically immediately that she’d slept longer than she had meant to. But she supposed that was fine as she pushed herself up and out of the bed. Stretching and yawning to try and wake up more.

--

After standing, she quickly got dressed and ready to leave the boat. Hopefully by now they had arrived. Honestly- She couldn’t wait to get going! She really hoped that Prince Vessie, a nickname she’d already given him in her mind, liked the gifts she’d brought.

--

A flower crown of blue and purple, and hand jewelry of a floral theme. Perfect for the theme the party was going to be- Floral! Floral was always a good theme for a party! Especially a spring birthday party!

--

For clothing she decided on something airy and bright, colorful and light. And of course, her own flower crown which was far more pale in comparison to the one she had made to be the Prince’s.

--

She left the room and soon the boat with the flower crown in hand, eyes scanning for the Prince. Who was speaking with a young man who- Oooh, shiny young man! Very nice! Jeez, she really was a bird, wasn’t she? Her whole family was! Even her older brother! Who she had told not to come because she wanted to get all the ladies and he couldn’t have them. Anyways, she descended the steps of the boat with a bounce in her feet and a large grin on her face.

--

She didn’t try to sneak up, she never did- Only people with things to hide did. Instead, she came right up to the Prince and just placed the flower crown on top of his head. “Happy Birthday, Your Majesty! Hope the day’s going splendid right now! I’m Lady Suna Akeru, from Hoewsia, and it’s a great pleasure to meet you!

--

Her eyes darted all around, taking in the scenery and the people and the carriages- “I do say, this place is beautiful! Practically stunning! And much cooler than Hoewsia, which is nice. Do you have a garden at the palace? Or a music room? Oh I would love to play for everyone one day! And amazing jewelry you have on! Very shiny, very eye-catching! The rubies fit you very well!

--

She practically bounced on her feet, eyes bright and a genuine smile, wide and pure. Suna paused for a moment to look around her again, more fully this time. The place truly was beautiful. She could even see a few fine women around, she held back a grin at the idea of playing for them. And then she looked back at the long-haired Prince. “Ah, well- I suppose I should actually apologize for running up here and placing that atop your head. Sorry, I just couldn’t wait for you to see it! I have another gift but I think one of my helps have already put it into a carriage so it’ll have to wait- Oh well, do you like the crown? I made it myself yesterday from the flowers in my garden that were ready to be picked and used to make it! It was fun, and I decided purple due to your kingdom’s colors and blue because blue and purple always look well together- And given the red rubies you have, blue works even more now!

--

She paused, eyes wrinkling in joy as her smile grew, she forced herself to calm down a bit before speaking again. “But, ah, sorry- I suppose I’m rambling. I do hope you enjoy the flower crown, and thank you for allowing us all to come here! Truly wonderful meeting you, Prince Vesper, and I cannot wait to see what all of Aibruvia has to offer! I’m certain all of it will be breathtaking!

--

And then she was bounding to the carriage that her handmaidens had already prepared, hopping right in and looking at the scenery and shiny areas of the docks.
