Sydney-11-Female-M: group in kitchen, Ikaris
-
Sydney woke up to a tapping and cawing at her window as per usual. Her crow friends were obviously hungry and impatient for her to wake up and feed them. She yawned tiredly as she stood up and moved to the window to open it so the crows would stop complaining. As soon as the window was open a her hungry friends flew in and made themselves comfortable digging through her things for food and/or shiny things. Her favorite crow, whom she'd named Snow after her mother, was quick to land right in Sydney hair and sqwak right in her ear. Sydney giggled in amusement as she patted the birds head before beginning to get ready for the day, pulling on a very worn out and oversized sweatshirt that had once been her father's and some black leggings. She gently moved snow out of her hair and ran a brush through it, making sure her bangs covered her eyes before allowing snow back on her head. Once she was ready for the day she slowly opened her door and looked outside to see if anytime was around, luckily it seemed everyone was farther down in the house and she didn't have to worry about them for the moment as she went down stairs, her flock of crows quickly flying outside since they knew she was going outside to feed them though snow stayed in her place on Sydneys head.
-
The young girl was quick to peek into the kitchen only to see it filled with people. The food called to her but the sight of so many people quickly overthrew any thoughts of hunger as she turned tail and instead made her way to the back sliding door. She opened a small cabinet she kept stocked with bird feed and grabbed a cup to feed to the birds. Though a deep blush painted her face when she realized alpha Ikaris was out on the porch. She took a quiet deep breath before stepping outside, keeping her head down to try and hide her flaming cheeks. She'd had a big crush on Ikaris ever since she could remember though she did her best to hide it and despite her feelings she was the most comfortable around him. She squeezed out a quiet "good morning alpha, I'm sorry I just came out to feed the birds..... D-do you want to help?" She noticed the bottle of liquid in his hand but didn't say anything about it as she held out the cup of food to him awkwardly trying to be friendly. As if to in courage him or maybe just hurry the two along the five or six crows that had been waiting for her in the yard cawed loudly.

Natasha DeForest | Werewolf | Female | Medic's Assistant | M: Rowan, Tori, Ikaris, Sydney, group in kitchen

Nat wrinkled her nose and tucked her smoothie against her chest as what looked like ash tumbled to the floor from Rowan’s hair. She hoped he hadn’t gone and burned himself on something; one more unnecessary injury she’d have to deal with. She cleared her throat and gestured to the ash that had now accumulated in a pile on the kitchen floor. “Where’d the, uh, ash come from? You didn’t get hurt or anything, did you?” She leaned over to grab a plate of toast and bacon from where Tori stood and set her smoothie on the counter next to her as she dug in.

Out of the corner of her eye, Nat noticed Ikaris heading towards the back of the house, Sydney trailing after him. The alpha had a familiar-looking bottle in his hand. Nat frowned. Hopefully that wouldn’t become a recurring issue; she hated having to lecture people on their own lives.

Clearing the last bits of food off her plate, Nat set it in the sink and placed her smoothie back in the fridge. She paused on the landing upstairs. “I’m going for a run if anyone wants to come”, she forced out before jogging the rest of the way to her room. It wasn’t that she didn’t like her fellow pack members; it was just that she preferred being alone. A lot. Well, more like all the time, and even she knew that wasn’t healthy. Having closer friends within the pack would be good for her, as awkward and uncomfortable as it was for her to admit that. She grabbed a ratty pair of black sweatpants out of her dresser and trotted back downstairs into the kitchen.

☾ Ikaris V. Ravik ☽
"Kari" "V"
Alpha male 25 Mentions: Sydney [directly], Tori [indirectly]

He hadn't been standing on the porch long before light footsteps caught his attention. Either someone was trying their hardest to sneak up on him, or the person approaching him was the youngest in the pack, Sydney. Kari looked to the bottle he held, there was no way he'd let himself drink in front of her. So, Ikaris set the drink on the railings that surrounded most of the porch. Glancing back at Sydney he offered a small smile. He loved how she cared for the crows, perhaps because it gave him a glimpse at what kind of person she was. She'd definitely turn out to be one of the most caring people in the world, he knew it.

"Good morning, Sydney." Pausing for a moment he looked at her outstretched hand and nodded, "Sure, but you gotta promise to get yourself something to eat after this. It's important for you to take care of yourself." He knew that if he had told anyone else that, they'd call him out on being a hypocrite. Gently taking the cup from her, Ikaris looked to the crows, "You name any of them?" He was genuinely curious. She fed them every day and they seemed to like to stick around, undoubtedly because of her. Kari didn't mind them, but he much preferred dogs.

For the most part, Ikaris would throw on a fake smile for the pack members- but Sydney was one of very few he actually found himself smile around. How could someone not smile when they had her ask them to help her feed the birds? Other than that, Kari could easily find himself smiling around Tori. He did have brief moments where he smiled in front of the others and it was real, but those moments couldn't compare to ones like these and the moments he had with Tori. If today was like every other day when he came back home after a fight, he'd be isolated until someone came to find him. Today was different though, he wasn't exactly isolated, but he did take a drink to-go. Normally the alpha would stick to his coffee and whatever food he could find in the fridge, if nothing had been cooked. Kari would be a little surprised if anyone noticed the abnormality in his routine, but at the same time he wouldn't be surprised if someone noticed- especially Tori. She always caught on to what he did, even when he thought he was being slick and could get away with no one noticing.

Tori O'Connor | Werewolf | Hunter | Mentions: Those still in the kitchen, Kari and Sydney

Even though Tori was used to finishing the dishes alone, she was thankful that Zane was helping. "Thank you Zane but at the moment I can't think of anything else." She offered a smile before putting together two plates. She had noticed that Kari and Sydney both hadn't grab some of the breakfast before leaving the kitchen. She stepped out of the kitchen and headed towards the back porch.

She paused for a moment watching Sydney and Kari for a few moments before she stepped out. "I saw that you two didn't get anything from breakfast." She offered the two plates in her hands to both of them. "It is good to eat something. Especially with that drink." Tori's eyes moved to the bottle that Kari was holding.

Her eyes moved over to Sydney and offered a soft smile. "I know we are a lot as a group, but you can share the toast with your friends out here." Tori knew she didn't need to mother the two before her, but a part of her felt horrible for Kline and Sydney after they lost their parents. Kari on the other hand was her closest friend that she had grown up with and someone that she cared deeply for. Other than her family, which she knew that Carson had something up his sleeve.

Her eyes travelled back to Kari as she set the plate for Sydney down and moved over to stand by him and tilted her head. "Maybe I need to be your backup again? I really enjoy sleeping at night." Her tone trying to be teasing but also showing her concern. She held the plate closer to him as she narrowed her eyes.

"Also eat. I did not make all of that food for you to try and sneak away without eating anything. Food is important." A small smile was playing at the corner of her lips as she spoke. "Plus it will hurt my feelings if you two don't eat. As a hunter it is my duty to make sure everyone, especially our alpha, eats." Her eyes moved over to Sydney with a little playful wink before putting on the stern look towards Kari.

Normally she made sure to not show an almost defiance against Kari's leadership except if she was joking. She knew that not everyone would take it as a joke and that could cause issues within the pack. Tori set the plate for Kari on the railing of the porch before placing a hand on his shoulder, being careful as the playfulness left her features.

"Kari, please take one of us with you when you go out. I hate seeing you in pain like this." Her words were quiet as she started to pull her hand away. Feelings that she was trying hard to keep hidden were dancing in her eyes.

Sydney-11-Female-M:Tori, Ikaris
-
Sydney was happy to see Ikaris agree to help her feed the birds but the sight of his busted knuckles was worrying. She hated to see him beat up but was usually to shy to say anything to him, it wasn't her place to scold the alpha. She jumped a little in surprise when tori walked out and offered the two food, she was very thankful for it since she really didn't want to have to go back inside but she also didn't want to disobey Ikaris. She giggled quietly as she listened to tori scold Ikaris, the sight made her happy since she knew she couldn't do it herself. She set her plate down on the railing as she picked up some of the toast and fed it to snow who sqwaked happily at the treat, the young girl quietly piped in "t-thank you tori, snow says thank you to." She took a deep breath as she decided to take after tori's example and try to back her up. For once she looked up at Ikaris's face, thought it was hard to tell since her bangs covered her eyes and she bravely squeaked out "A-Alpha Ikaris, tori i-is right. Y-you should eat to, momma used to say breakfast was the most important meal of the day, s-so you should eat to.... T-that is if you want to... A-and M-maybe see the m-medics to c-cause y-your bleeding A-and I don't like it when you're hurt either... It makes me sad..." Despite how strong she'd started off in the beginning Sydney quickly began to lose steam and confidence. By the end of her small rant she was staring at her feet and playing with her fingers anxiously as she tried to keep herself from apologizing and running away, her face a bright tomato red from all the nerves she felt. It had taken a lot of courage for her to try and emulate tori and she found herself wondering how anyone could have that kind of confidence for more then a few seconds. She felt mortified after just her small speech and she hoped maybe her words had made a small different. She didn't want her momentary bravery to be for nothing.

Rowan Draven | M | Werewolf | Scout | Mentions: Kline, Tori, Carson, Luna, Zane, Nat
Rowan watched Kline with one eyebrow raised. "Honestly, I can't see you with a long 'lumberjack' beard. And yeah, you would think that, but no. I'm not really one for facial hair though." he said, and gave an apologetic look to Tori when he filled the sink with ash. "Sorry about that Tori. Erm....thanks for breakfast." he said, still slightly awkward with the kinds of social interactions where he did something to annoy someone. He picked up a plate of french toast and bacon, greeting Carson, and then he noticed what Luna had said. "Yeah, the smell's okay, hate the drink." he agreed. "Morning Zane......not a morning person are you?" he asked with a chuckle. He looked back at Nat. "Oh, no, I didn't injure myself......" he said, face turning red in embarrassment. "I just......fell asleep by the fire pit.......again." he said with a chuckle. It had happened multiple times in the past week, always ending with him being stiff and having ash in his hair. He walked out to the dining table to eat, practically wolfing down his food. He was more hungry than he realized. He looked over at Nat. "I'll come!" he said, putting on his running shoes real fast. He then waited by the door for her.
Hope Caddel | F| Werewolf | Hunter | M: Tori, Zane, Kline, Rowan, Nat
Hope looked up when she heard that the food was ready, and she went out into the kitchen to grab a plate. There was the always moving Kline, trying to grow a beard still by drinking that awful concoction, and she couldn't help but laugh slightly at his mini rant to Rowan. She grabbed a plate and sat down at the table, watching as Zane sat down as well, but only for a few minutes as he had soon finished and taken his plate out. Wow, that must be some kind of record. she thought as she finished her food, but more slowly. The hunting party didn't have to start out for a little while, so she walked back into the kitchen, seeing Tori cleaning the sink from what looked like.....ash? She walked over to her. "Rowan fall asleep by the fire pit again?" she questioned. "Need any help with that?" she asked, gesturing to the mess of ash, and started to sweep up some of the ash that Rowan had gotten on the floor. She heard Nat say she was going for a run, and Rowan quickly offered to go with her. She finished up sweeping the ash off the floor and udmped it in the trashcan.

Natasha DeForest | Werewolf | Female | Medic's Assistant | M: Rowan, group in kitchen

Nat blinked in surprise at Rowan’s offer as she entered the kitchen again, sweats on and sneakers in hand. “Oh! Um… sounds great!” She plastered a smile on her face. It was going to be great. She was going to have fun. She could get to know Rowan a little bit better and maybe start to break out of her shell - just the tiniest bit.

She tugged on her running shoes and swept her hair back into a bun with a stray scrunchie in her sweats pocket. “I was thinking about taking the path through the forest and then the one that runs next to town. Not through it, though”, she said to Rowan as she fussed with her hair. Nat knew that just going for a jog through town wouldn’t attract any attention, but it still made her uneasy. Better to be safe than sorry.

With her shoes on and hair pulled back, Nat started for the back door. She nodded her goodbyes at the remaining pack members still lingering in the kitchen. “Ready to go?” she asked Rowan.

☾ Ikaris V. Ravik ☽

Alpha male 25 Mentions: Sydney, Tori

In all honesty, Ikaris had wondered how long it would take for Tori to come find him. Naturally she had come prepared. Taking a look at the plates she held the alpha exhaled. He was torn between eating the food and not eating it. However, when Sydney had chimed in and told him that he should eat- he realized that it'd be in his best interest to at least try. No one could, in their right mind, look at a child as cute as her and tell her no. So, Ikaris looked at the plate of food and picked it up. In it's place sat the cup of bird feed, "If it's alright with you I'm going to eat the food before it gets cold. You should too." Offering a reassuring smile the alpha then set his plate down on the table that was near them, "Don't worry, I'll pay a visit to the medics." He couldn't tell if he had lied or not. He wanted to go to get his side checked out, but at the same time he didn't want to get scolded, again, for being reckless.

Kari's heart thudded heavily in his chest, the idea of Tori or someone else tagging along when he went out into town didn't sound entirely pleasing. The last thing he wanted was to get someone else hurt in one of his stupid brawls. Immediately he shook his head, "I can't put anyone else in harm's way. Especially over something as stupid as me picking fights." Focusing on Tori's hand on his shoulder he took a deep breath, "I know you're capable of holding your own, but I can't ask you to come along with me."

Taking a seat at the table, Ikaris took a piece of bacon and hesitantly took a bite of it, speaking softly "I don't want things to go sideways and for you to get targeted. I'd rather get my ass beat then watch you- or anyone else have to fight because I couldn't handle it."

Instinctively he reached for his side again, this time applying light pressure to it to test just how sensitive it was. Kari wouldn't be surprised if he managed to get a cracked rib, but to be fair he didn't know the extent of his injuries. There was no way he could tell what his injuries were, he could only really guess. Normally he'd ride them out on his own, after all... what medic would honestly want to look at some dumb bruises? That thought made him chuckle. Ikaris remembered when he first came back with a serious injury. His lip had been busted beyond his belief, which in turn made his face a bloody mess. He'd forever remember that day by the scar that rested on his mouth. Every now and then Ikaris catches himself thinking that it looks pretty badass.

"Hey, Tori." After taking a quick drink of his alcohol, Kari looked over his shoulder at the woman, "Can you do something for me?" Pressing his hand into his side again the grown man winced, "Before I actually head over to Carson to check this out, could you take a peek at it? I don't want to trouble him if it's just a damn bruise." He knew that Tori was a hunter, but she was the only person he truly felt comfortable showing his injuries to. It made sense though. He grew up close to her, and he'd be an idiot to say he didn't have strong feelings for her. If asked, he wouldn't be able to describe what he felt towards her well enough.

"While you're at it I'm sure you'll find a way to make fun of me. I don't blame you either, I might as well be the dumbest guy in the world." Laughing Kari began to pick up the pace with his food, wolfing down the bacon pretty easily. One look at the french toast made the grown man deflate, "You're lucky that you made this. My body is 100% screaming at me for indulging in this sweet french toast."

Tori O'Connor | Hunter | Mentions: Kari and Sydney

A smile formed on her features as the younger girl mustered up her strength to also talk Kari into eating. "Thank you Sydney." It was heartwarming to see the girl showing more confidence in herself and Tori made a mental note to talk with Sydney later. Her eyes moved over to Kari when he mentioned not wanting others to get hurt.

She understood why he would say that but a part of her wanted to shake him silly for thinking that fighting on his own wasn't hurting the others indirectly. "Yeah, but I don't mind helping out. It has been a little while since I got into any trouble myself." She pushed herself away from the railing and before moving over to him, she moved over by Sydney.

"I think you did an awesome job here with Kari." The softer smile working its way onto her lips as she spoke. "If you ever need someone as backup to talk with, just ask. I will gladly come help." Not often was the softer side of Tori visible to the others as she wanted to appear carefree and fun, but for certain people she would tone down her energy.

Kari asking Tori to check his side caused her to raise an eyebrow as she tilted her head to look at him. "I mean sure I can do that. Though I agree with Sydney that you should at least let Carson do something for your knuckles."

Being the medic's younger sister did cause Tori some grief as she felt that because of Carson's sour looks, people asked her or Natasha to check them out before going to him. She offered another smile to Sydney before kneeling by Kari and lifted his shirt where his hand had pressed against. A small snort left her at his words.

"I never make fun of you...well if I did, it was deserved. Also haven't you heard about mixing sweet with savory? Best way to eat foods. Also you love my cooking." It felt a little weird to joke with Kari in front of Sydney but she didn't focus on that thought for too long as she noticed the large bruise.

"Damnit Ikaris...Does it hurt to breathe?" It wasn't often she would use his actual name and when she did, she wasn't happy. "You should have called me or Rowan or Zane or Raven or even Carson." She lifted her gaze from his side to search his features.

Tori couldn't explain why she got angrier at the alpha for getting injured and it had gotten her into hot water before with Carson telling her to mind her temper. Her eyes moved back to his side and with her free hand she gently began pressing near the bruise. "Don't be a tough guy in front of Sydney and hide pain from me. If you do, I will make sure Carson knows."

Her eyes narrowed behind her glasses as she waited for a reaction. As embarrassed as she kinda felt, her concern and anger kept her focused.

Zane | Hunter | M | M: Hope, Rowan, Tori, Sydney, Ikaris, Everyone in kitchen(ind)
Zane finished drying the dishes as Tori left with the last two plates after Ikaris and the youngest member of the pack. He hoped she could help their alpha. They seemed to have a special connection so that was a good thing. Zane dried his hands before noticing Rowan and Natasha ran out. He hoped they were going to scout so that the hunters could go out. He was itching to run but that was normal. Maybe he would go swimming in a bit too. Zane was about to leave the kitchen, as everyone seemed to be doing, when he noticed Hope cleaning up some ash on the floor.

Well, that could only mean Rowan had slept by the fireplace again. Zane wasn't sure why, but it resulted with ashy hair. Which could get quite messy in the kitchen. Hope finished cleaning up the ash before Zane could make his way over. He yawned once before shaking away his sleepiness. Nope, no time for beauty sleep now. It was daytime whether he liked it or not. He paused for only a moment before walking over towards Hope.

They hadn't talked much before even though they both were hunters. He didn't know whether it was because she was shy or he had just not been in the mood. Which wasn't often. "Hey, how are you doing this morning? What do you think we did to deserve both bacon and french toast?" Zane asked, sparking the conversation easily. He let a bit of playfulness enter his voice as he talked about breakfast, leaning on the counter next to her.
