The large male was sound asleep when the Queen arose for the morning. Albeit her stirring to did rouse him, but it was minutes later before he rolled from his side to his belly, a wide yawn escaping his jaws followed by a wince. He trusted Kailani, and didn't think she would mind if she arose before him, pregnant or not. He admired the female for her strength, holding herself together when he figured her emotions were likely running rampant from the hormones.
Sighing he pushed to his legs, skin twitching as the wounds that marred him throbbed with pain. Dry blood matted his coat, his mane slightly mushed from it on one side. None of the wounds were life threatening, but a fewer were deep and kept bleeding whenever he would move wrong. He knew they would take longer to heal, and that irritated him more.
His face twisted into a frown at the wounds, the memories of the males who had taken everything from them haunting his mind. All of them had been formidable, and part of him respected them for that, but one of the ones who had gone for him had been... He shuddered at the sheer joy he remembered on the male's face, and chose to physically walk forward to leave the turmoil of his thoughts.
As he exited where they had slept, it didn't take long for his eyes to land upon Kailani and the male visiting her. It wasn't that Zion didn't trust the males in his pride, but he was a bit on edge now, and he wasn't terribly fond of anyone being around the Queen, whom was pregnant with his cubs, alone. With what had happened, Zion refused to let anything happen to his unborn cubs, he just wouldn't risk it.
Treading forward, he gently bumped his head into the Queen's shoulder and then nuzzled against her. "Good Morning," he spoke as he sat beside her and let his eyes land on the male speaking to her, not really bothering with a greeting for now. |

Queen | Akachi | M: Scar, Zion . Interrupting hee gaze, Kailani heard a familiar voice speaking to her. She looked over to see it was one of her warriors, Scar. Kailani fixed her gaze onto the male before opening her maw to speak. "Good morning, Scar. I am doing well today, and you?" The Queen wouldn't be surprised if the pride was still shaken up over the incident that happened not too long ago. She was just grateful there wasn't an injury to her stomach. Kailani has always wanted to bear cubs of her own. She would be devastated if something had happened. . It was just a moment later that she felt a nuzzle. Turning to her side, she spotted the King. Kailani admired him for sticking around, especially with everything that has happened. She returned a nuzzle before also speaking to him. "Good morning," Kailani said with a soft tone to her voice. Her gaze shortly fixed back onto Scar. However, her thoughts trailed to the tasks that would need to be given out soon. She needed the pride to be as careful as possible. . After what had happened with the Kezbian Band, Kailani was scared to death about bringing cubs into this world. She wouldn't know what she'd do if she lost them. Kailani tried to stay positive, however. She trusted Zion with her whole heart. Kailani knew that Zion, especially, wouldn't let anything happen. | |

Kezbian Band | Male | Mentions: Izem, the Others [ind.]
The bloodied figure of a muscular male was draped across a rock not far from where their dominant male was. He was awake, of course, his eyes gleaming up at the bloodstained paw he held in front of his face. The dart liquid had stained the fur of his body, his claws crusted with it and the remnants of fur and flesh he had torn from the King's body.
See, not much of the blood on Gazini's body was his, maybe a few swipes here and there, but most of it was the blood of the other lions he had helped attack. True to his nature, once he had singled out who the King was, he had focused on him. He didn't think Izem minded, he trusted the male enough, as he would rather have their dominant male in prisitine shape while the Akachi Pride's had to nurse wounds. It would give them an advantage.
Sure the King had definitely put up a fight after being caught off guard, but it had been clear to Gazini he wasn't used to the sheer bloodlust that drove him. The joy that radiated off from the possibility of mutilating the male had seemed to possible intimidate the male more than the actual fight. Though, Gazini wasn't foolish enough to believe he wouldn't be prepared for it in the future.
The vocal tones of their dominant male had Gazini rolling to his stomach, eyes locking on Izem as he spoke. Ears swiveled on his head as he listened and he pushed to his feet, shaking himself a bit in the process to release some of the debris from his coat.
"What of a patrol, Izem?" He asked, his voice coming out lazy, but the intensity of his gaze gave away how focused he was. "I think it would be good for us to continue to reinforce the scent markers, plus it could give us an opportunity to see what state we've left them in," he calmly spoke, his deadpanned voice clear but not pushy. "I personally would like to know how soon they are likely to retaliate if they will, and how bold they might be. If they think, with all due respect Izem, but if they think we aren't guarding our borders, they might be tempted to send someone in to spy or bring back food, or anything like that," he rolled his shoulders as he finished speaking, his eyes glancing at the rest of their group, before landing back on Izem.
"If you'd allow me, I might make the suggestion to reinforce our borders now, and hunt at night. With us all being males, with the exception of Saja," he nodded to the female as he spoke her name, "it might offer better cover for us to hunt when the buffalo have a harder time seeing, thus giving us the advantage. Then we could send some of us to scout the territory, see if we missed anything important, some of us to the borders to reaffirm the scent markers, and perhaps Saja could scout out the buffalo and see what the best hunting route would give us the greatest advantage." He hoped Izem wouldn't think he was over stepping, but he wanted to offer a suggestion since he had one. |

Fang Akachi || cub-sitter ||Male . Fang noticed movement and looked up to see Scar jumping up to the ledge that the Queen, Kalani, sits upon. Fang watches Scar as he talks to the Queen. After a few moments the King, Zion, exited his den and greeted the Queen. . Fang let a smile show on his face as he saw the King and Queen together, but he quickly went back to frowning as he got up and shook his mane. Fang started towards the cub sitting den which was a little way under the King and Queen's den. As Fang jumped up onto the ledge he looked back up at Scar, Fang was protective of the Queen hence her cubs on the way. . Even though Fang valued the safety of the Queen and her cubs Fang could not do anything drastic, as Scar is a higher rank than he is and Scar is also greatly respected. Fang sits down and watches Scar as he accompanies the King and Queen. . Fang looked at the den behind him, as old memories flooded his mind. Fang had cub sat many, and the memories always made him feel happy. Fang was excited for the Queen's cubs to come he would have a great responsibility to watch over them while the pride does their daily duties. Fang look back over the ledge and decided to calm down as the day resumes. |

The male landed his eyes on the king before returning his gaze to Kailani “I am doing fine though i bet some lions gotten more wounds then i” he nodded toward the king the fire returning to his eyes “And i must say i am very happy for you queen Kailani and king Zion i will protect your cubs with my life’ The male’s words were honest he had finally made his decision, he would allow the Queens cubs to stay until they were adults. Giving the King one last fake respectful nod he murmured his excusement to leave the king and queen to give out orders he turned his head toward fang but only twitched a ear toward the cubsitter before sitting back under his tree his plan unfolding in his mind his claws sank into the earth beneath him he wasn't the type of lion who would fight when the king is still healing so Scar had a long way to go. |

Izem || Kezbian King || M: Gazini, Others The male's question hung in the air for a few moments before Gazini offered his own suggestion, rolling over to face them all. Izem's eyes stayed on the other's as the large male spoke to pursue a patrol. Izem refrained from interjecting and instead waited for the other to finish his thoughts, the king's tail twitching with his own mental wheels turning. As Gazini fell silent once again, Izem opened his maw. "It is a good plan," he said. "I do realize the need to patrol, but I did not want to split the group when our numbers are already so few. However, you do provide a viable solution. Hunting at night would be to our advantage in many ways, especially if our quarry remains the buffalo." Izem paused and moved to look over everyone else. Saja seemed interested in Gazini's suggestion that she scout, and Ajuk just appeared as bored as always; the king wasn't even sure the young male was actually paying attention. A short growl in the lion's direction caused instant rigidity and obvious focus, however, and a satisfied Izem moved on. "The pride is still suffering. While they may send out a hunt, it is most likely that they will do it during the day when they can easily watch for... threats." Here, the male's muzzle curled into a mild smirk of amusement. Oh, "threats" was an understatement. He continued, "We will strengthen the border markings now and hunt once the sun starts to set. We will blend in; the buffalo will not. "Gazini and Ajuk, you will accompany me to reinforce the territory line. Jabari and Saja, you two will scout the inner territory. Look for hunting trails, animal tracks, and any other helpful information. I want you to pay special attention to the direction the buffalo have been migrating; I want to know how far they move in a day, where they like to congregate, how many there are, and -- most importantly -- where they will be tonight." His yellow eyes surveyed the small group, and his whiskers twitched in pride. Small, yes, but fearsome. Feared. Death dwelt in six creatures, and they all stood before him. The savanah was as good as theirs. |

Fang ||Akachi cub-sitter||Male|| . Fang had ended up falling asleep during early mid-day, he woke up maybe an hour later. Fang stood up and stretched, he yawned and started to jump down from his little ledge. He saw some other lions and lionesses around. Fang started walking toward the entrance of where his pride has made their new temporary home. Since Fang and his pride had moved here he has not seen a watering hole yet, so Fang wandered close to the pride. . After a few minutes of wandering around keeping alert, he found a small watering hole. Fang bent down and lapped up some cool water from the watering hole. After Fang drank some water he trotted back to the pride entrance. Once he was back into the safety of the pride he shook his mane and looked to see if Queen Kailani was still on the King and Queen ledge. She was so Fang made his way to his ledge and jumped up. . Once Fang had gotten to the cub-sitter ledge he jumped up to the King and Queen's ledge. He bowed to the Queen as he approached, "Queen Kailani, I have found a small-sized watering hole, it's not far from the pride entrance." Fang bowed once again and jumped down and jumped down to the bottom of the little den areas. He found a nice patch of sun and laid down cleaning his mane while watching the entrance. |
