Plot:
Winter Foxes are gorgeous pure white foxes who have the ability to camouflage to anything they are near. They also have the power to manipulate water and ice particles to whatever shape they want. But, they are being hunted and killed for their pelts and magic. If you kill a Winter Fox, their powers are transfered to the weapon that killed them. Fortunately, there is a group of these mythical creatures in one of the most frigid, desolate places in the world; Alaska. This group has fought long and hard to survive the near extinction of their magical species.

You are a Winter Fox wandering the Alaskan landscape on your own when you run into a large group of about 20 Winter Foxes. You stand frozen in your tracks. While you watch them, wondering why there is such a large skulk, a vixen walks up to you, her pelt shifting from rock grey to the traditional snow white. "Well hello there!" She chirped, an odd, crooked grin on her muzzle. "Welcome to the skulk! We are glad you came!" You wonder what she is talking about, you open your mouth, but get cut off by a dog. "Crea, they obviously don't know what's going on." He started, "I'm sorry about my mate. She can be a bit excentric when we find another Winter Fox to recruit. Anyway, what is your name?" He asked.

What will you do? Will you join the skulk and fight for your life? Or will you reject their offer and fend for yourself? Will you fight to keep your species alive? Only time will tell...

We will begin slightly before this. Every person will start in a tundra meadow, winter forest or snowy mountain side. The valley holds the meadow of about three miles in every direction. Surrounding the valley and meadow is the forest. The forest goes two miles north before hitting the snowy mountainside. The mountain range is over 100 miles but the part that we will be playing with is at a max of 10 miles from the valley. The forest goes six miles south before hitting a large river, you may not go any farther than that. East stretched to 3 miles before it hits a town, you may place your character in the town but that's where all the hunters will be starting so no getting into immediate fights. West stretches two miles before ending in a deep ravine. A fall from that height is an instant death.
The Winter Fox skulk is located in the northmost part of the valley. The camp is fitted between two pine trees in a small island of trees in the middle of the valley. The camp consists of the Hond and Arun's den, a medium sized den in a low hollow of one of the tallest trees. The Raku's den is beside it, nestled in the roots of the same tree. A small stream runs beside it, making it the perfect place to keep the injured. There are several smaller dens inside to keep those that are sick and a pocket in the back of the den where they keep the herbs. The healer sleeps in a small gully beside the herbs. The Gammas cave is slightly smaller than the Hond and Arun's cave. It is located underground near one of the smaller trees towards the outer circle of the pine trees. The opening comes out to the side of the tree and a back exit goes around to the meadow, popping up like a groundhog hole. Five nests are in various places in the den, depending on how many Gammas there is at a time. The guards have one den in a small hollow on the lowest branch of the small pine tree that marks the edge of camp. The guards rotate sleeping shifts so there is only 1-2 foxes in the den at a time. It is nestled secretively in the tree, only ones that can see it know that its there. The hunters den is a hollowed out log that crosses from the tallest pine tree to the smallest. There are various beds in the den going from least experienced at the opening to the most experienced and respected in the back where it is warmer. Queens have an underground cave that goes from beside the hunters den to a medium sized tree beside the healers den. Underground, there are three different way out in case of evacuation. Two dens are on either side of this small cave. One is for expecting Queens who are needed to rest while the other is for mothers and their kits. This den is closest to the escape tunnels but also barred off to stop the kits from wandering off. Only adults can move through the tunnels freely.
Loners are allowed to start in their forest, near the river, near the town, on the mountainside or wandering through the meadow. Loners have more leniency of what their dens might look like or where they live but remember to stay within the boundaries we are playing in.
Hunters, you all start in the town waking up and doing the daily stuff. You can either talk with other hunters, gather your supplies and weapons or start hunting. What I do not want to see is a Hunter waking up in the forest and immediately spotting a Winter fox.

Rules:

4. Hate the character, not the player.
5. You can have up to 3 characters to begin with. PM me a RP response to have as many characters as you can handle.
6. If I disapprove of your sheet, you may try again. I have the right to approve or disapprove your sheet.
7. You must have 3+ sentences in Appearance, with or without a picture.
8. You must have 1+ well written paragraphs (5+ sentences) in your character's personality.
9. Reservations last 24 Hours. Can only reserve two spots at a time. If you have gotten this far, put foxy in Other.
10. You MUST be active at least twice a week, and post a minimum of three posts a week. If you have issues and can't be active please notify me.
11. If you do not respond in the week, you have one day extra to get a post out. If not done, you are out of the RP.
12. Keep your character realistic please.
13. This is semi-lit, your posts must be 4+ sentences for each post. I understand off days, but I require a minimum of 3 sentences.
14. If you want one of the higher ranks (Arun, Hond, Gammas, Raku), please PM me a RP response.
15. You have 3 warnings. After the three warnings, you will be banned from this RP. Respect everyone and do not be mad if I decline your sheet.
16. You can not kill another persons character with their permission. You must also clear it with me as well.

Master List: Hond(1/1): The Hond is the 'Alpha' of the Skulk. He is the male of the leading pair. He makes sure everyone is fed and healthy. He will often eat last, ensuring that the Kits and Queens eat first, as they are needed to grow the Skulk. He will always stay behind during hunts with the Guards as added security. - Pipkin | M | Shadow Walkers | Page 8~~~ Arun(0/1): The Arun is the Hond's mate. She often leads the hunts, picking the prey that will sustain the Skulk the longest. If needed, she will hunt on her own and bury her catch to get it later. When the Arun isn't hunting or spending time with her mate, she is helping the Gammas keep Kits under control. - ~~~Raku(1/1):
This is the healer of the group. They help the injured and hurt of the group and help the Hond and Arun with their decisions. They can have only one apprentince, PM me for the position.- Hana | F | Draconians | Page 6
~~~ Gammas(1/5+): These are the teachers within the Skulk. They teach the weaned kits how to survive. Gammas aren't quite the life of the Skulk, but they help teach the the kits so that the future of the Winter Foxes is gauranteed. A Gamma is almost always a dog unless a vixen has permanent damage resulting in them not being able to do their duties as hunters or guards. - Reserved for me - - - - ~~~Guards(1/4+): Guards are the protection for the Skulk. They stay behind during hunts to ensure the safety of anyone left behind. Guards can either be dogs or vixens, and often eat after the Queens.

Kits(Dependant on the number of Queens): Kits are young foxes up to a year old. They are the lifeblood of the Skulk. Not only are Kits the future of the Winter Foxes, but they are also the glue, being as they are the most energetic. They bring joy and smiles to any fox who seems down. They are the first to eat when they are weaned. Each litter contains up to 4 kits. Kits under 5 months must have a mother.

(:0 did i get first post? My life is now complete) Marcia-Female-Human-Open . Marcia's eyes darted through the snowy white landscape. It's always hard to find something that is white in a fully white forest. The fact that when the sun reflects off of the snow and it blinds you never helps. Marcia looked back at her hunting party and rolled her eyes. A man at the back of her party only wore a grey shirt and black pants, no where near enough protection from the cold if you asked Marcia. . The man caught her looking at him and stared longingly at the two coats that she had on. Marcia was tempted to send the man back home since he wasn't prepared at all but she saw the look on his face and she felt a pang of empathy towards him. She handed him her top coat, much lighter then her bottom one which was very fluffy and contained some Winter Fox fur. the man thanked Marcia and she replied with, "My pleasure," and moved on. . After five more minutes she started looking more closely at the ground, perhaps to find paw print or something along those lines. She came up with nothing and decided that it would be a good time to set of camp. Marcia gathered some wood and stones to create a fire place. While she was gone her team set up the tents and the team relaxed. Marcia on the other hand, looked at a map with pins in it. the pins being where the most recent sightings of the winter foxes have been. she couldn't sense a theory, and sent out a scout team, lead by her, to go explore. |

Sunshine opened his small eyes. It was still dark in nursery cave where he was lying. It was also pretty cold though in the den situation was much better than outside. Toddler thought for a moment if it will be good idea to crawl out from his family's place. Who knows, maybe someone else woke up like him and is waiting for him to hunt their tail?
Hunting other foxes tail were actually his favorite game to play. Rules were simple; focuse, jump, make sure your pray won't move. And then usually you had to quickly run away because not all of the foxes were enjoying this type of play.
However, he didn't like to come out of the burrow without security when it was dark, so he squealed loudly for someone more courageous; "Mommy!" |

Night Raven | Guard | Male | M: Open Night Raven stirred as a gentle cold breeze filtered into his den. He opened an eye before yawning. Stretching each leg, he got up before poking his muzzle out the den to be met with the chilling cold winter. It was almost dawn, which meant that he had to go replace Storm on guard duty. He was probably tired by now. He flicked an ear before padding out, his ears alert and listening for danger. It was his job to protect the skulk and he would not fail in it. Making it to the meadow side, he looked over to find Storm perched in a low branch, scanning the field.
Raven yipped quietly to him and the other fox looked down before scrambling down the tree. Storm padded up to him saying, "All has been clear. The camp should start to stir." Raven nodded to him before climbing to the branch as Storm retreated into the camp to sleep. Another guard would be replacing the opposite side of camp so Raven sighed contentedly. He could already hear a bit of scrambling coming from the nursery meaning kits were waking up. He focused his attention out to the meadow, his mind reaching out before pulling on his fog power. He spread the fog that was now coming down and covered his half of the island of trees with it, leaving the outside to be unseen and everything inside able to see. He kept his ears alert and his eyes scanning as he watched for any potential danger. |

Dewdrop||Kit||M:Sumire,Sunshine Dewdrop stirred, the cold of the wind breaking through her dense fur. She crawled sleepily under her mother's paw. Sighing she warmed up. She almost drifted back to sleep until she heard the squeal of Sunshine. Sighing she crawled out from her cozy sleeping spot and sat up, blinking her eye's. Soon she looked around, spotting the squealing male. " Shush! " She hoped that the male would listen and so she turned and returned to her mother. Pawing at her mother's ear she whispered. " Mommy, time to wake up. " She sighed as she sat again and looked outside. The cold wind rushed to greet her and she shivered. She was bored and wanted to start the day. She pawed more urgently at her mother, whispering a bit louder. " Come on Mommy, it's morning time! " She pawed continually at her snout, knowing her Mother would eventually awaken. |

Etienne | M | Loner | M: Open The lone fox looked out over the icy landscape from the point of a steep cliff. He closed his eyes as he breathed in the chill air. It certainly was beautiful here, wasn't it? It was a pity human hunters were out prowling, hunting him and his fellow foxes for their powers and pelts. Etienne looked down at his paws, around which danced beautiful flakes of ice. The sunlight glinted off the elegant fractals, the interlocking diamonds creating the most extraordinary patterns in ice. He smiled at the flakes and wondered at their branching patterns, though remained alert and ready to disappear if needed. |
