Sadly, he died not long after we became mates. Now it's time for me to pick a new mate, one to help me lead the pack before it falls apart. Pack Rules~ Alphas are either born into the rank, picked by the alphas (if they have no pups), or are mated into the rank The Beta MAY pick the next beta if they retire as Beta, otherwise if they are not fulfilling their roles, they may be challenged out Same goes for the Lead Hunter and Fighter that happens with the Beta A female healer may NOT have a mate unless she has an apprentice to take over when she has her pups and is nursing, otherwise they are allowed Omegas are not normally allowed to be in the pack unless they are too dangerous to not be watched at all times. They are not the weakest in the pack, but those who are nothing but trouble. Elders may be any age IF they have something that hinders them from helping the pack (being blind, seriously injured, or old age) The cave they live in has crystals in the far back of the cave, that a wolf of a High rank (Beta, and Alpha) pick from to wear on their necks. (the necklace is crafted by the healer. If a Beta is kicked from their rank (and not due to age and retiring), they lose their crystal. If an Alpha or beta live to old age in their rank, they keep their crystal as elders to signify the pride they hold for the pack. |

Morning~ The sun is starting to rise, there is a fog rolling in from the night before. It's going to be on the chilly end most of the day. ~~~ Its been 4 months since Luna's mate, the former Alpha was killed. It's late fall, the herds are moving, and it's slowly becoming more difficult to hunt and bring home prey. |

Luna~ Luna was up early, looking out over the camp. Giving a small sigh she perked her ears as she heard a few pack members stirring. The Alpha female saw movment coming from a few dens and watched as a few emerged to greet the morning. The white coated female waited for her Beta, and the Lead Hunter and Fighter to discuss the plan for the day since winter was coming, and they needed to make sure the pack was well fed and safe. Fang/Druig~ Fang and Druig walked out of their respective dens before they started to chat about wondering what the plan for the day would be happening. "Think we will be dealing with rouges" Fang asked, looking unamused at the thought. Druig rolled his eyes before he replied. "If the rouges Luna even mentioned are true" he spat a bit before he saw others getting up. Sky/Lyra~ Sky walked over to the other female's den and smiled as she nudged the other female away. "Come on Lyra. You cant sleep all day" Sky said as Lyra slowly started to stir. Lyra let out a yawn. "Come on Sky. You know I was on a late hunt last night" she replied as Sky nodded. "I know, but you cant sleep all day." Niro~ Niro growled to himself. The male grew power hungry again after the past few months of not much happening. He managed to pass off his offspring by making not one, but two females think he actually cared. *They might lie to the pups about me, but oh well. They have my blood* he thought as he paced, growing more and more restless. He wanted to kill again, after he killed the male who was out with a white female, he felt alive again. *I need to feel that again* he thought. |

Latte | Male | Hunter | Mentions: Open The male hopped through field sparsley dotted with patches of snow, it was the fall, one of his favourite seasons. He'd always enjoyed when the trees became bare and red; when the grass became dead, gold and brown. The cooler, crisper air and the stark contrast of greys and whites against browns and oranges. One part he didn't enjoy? Less food. As much as eating could make him feel sick at times, he knew how much he needed it to survive. He opened his mouth, taking in gulps of the chilly air, enjoying the feeling of his mouth drying. Most would find it uncomfortable, he thought, but he found it fun to then lick over the dry places in his mouth and feel them moisten once more. He halted his pace at a small stream with a log, lapping up the chilly liquid, feeling the coolness run through him. He head over to the log and brought himself up to it, some of the rotting wood falling off under his paws. He actually found it better to lay on the rotting wood, it was always a bit softer to lay on than that of the evergreens that would usually grow around the home. Mocha | Male | Fighter | Mentions: Open Mocha rolled over in the snow, coating himself in the white. He loved getting cold and then trying to warm himself up again, it was a challenge that was definitely annoying to others. He didn't care though, he was having fun. Mocha often didn't care how much he annoyed others (unless of course it would negatively affect him to treat those in that way). It was genuinely something that never came to his mind. He lay still in the snow on his side, simply staring along the horizon. There was fog coating the ground so it wasn't exactly visible, but the bright of the sun still bore into his eyeballs so he looked away. _________________ (anyone open?) |

Night|Male|Fighter|M:Open Night walked around listening to the rustling of the other wolves in the pack. He was eager to go out and run feel the cold fall air against his fur as he walked around he serched for his little sister tho she doesnt remeber him that well as he was never around when they were little. He desided to shrug off looking for her as she was probably still sleeping. He went to the edge of the home stopping at it and sitting down to feel the air as the wind blew against his fur. He closed his eyes and relaxed waiting to hear any call so he knew what they were doing today as he knows that they are short on food as the herd's leave but with the rogue's around they had to be careful to not let anything happen to the alpha like what happened to her old mate. Echo|Female|Fighter|M:Open The female wandered the edge of there teritory her paw's pressing softly against the leaves as she walked she enjoyed being out of the home as she wandered around she came up to a stream walking to it she put her front paws in it and enjoyed the shiver the cold water brought her.She looked around making sure no one was around she stepped all the way into the water and layed down in it letting the cold water run over her whole body.She would never admit it to anyone else but she loved fall and winter even with the food suply short she was content with it she didnt need a lot of food but when she did eat she made sure that everyone else had the food first.She thought about the rogue's that she had heard about and wondered why they thought it was better being rogue than in a pack maybe if she found a rogue she would ask one day unless the rogue attacked her then she would be forced to fight back.As a fighter it's her job to keep the pack safe even if it meant killing another wolf. |

Storm-Male-5 years-Fighter - - Storm watched the camp while sitting in a corner. He hated feeling useless at times, but then again, if the alpha wanted him to do something, she would tell him, so he continued staring boredly around. His eye caught on Fang and Druig and he stared at them. He sighed and looked away. Everyone is acting weiiiirrd. He layed down still boredly staring around. ~ Sierra-Female-7 years-Hunter - - Sierra threw a little bit of snow around with her tail while waiting for something atleast a LITTLE interesting to happen. All these wolves around here are dumb. I want to atleast hunt! But our alpha is so annoying and won't just send me on a patrol, I want a new one for stars sake. Just pick a mate already so our pack can run well! Even the dumbest wolf ever can do it! She looked at Mocha. Maybe I can play with him to atleast try to be a little less of a snot-head. She half ran over half regular walked over to Mocha. "Hi, Can I play in the snow too? It might be fun" She sat down and noticed he stopped rolling around. No fun. She thought. |

He looked down at the patch of snow he was in after registering her words. "I mean sure, I don't see why not. It's not my snow, you can do whatever you want." He stood up, allowing her to go to the patch, not realising she wanted to roll with him, not use the patch. |

Rowan|Male|Fighter|Mentions: Open Rowan sat slightly hunched, ears pinned to the sides of his head. He was feeling awful in this cold, even with his thick winter coat. He sat there, shoulders hunched as a cold wind blew through. He growled slightly, annoyed. Autumn he could at least tolerate, but not winter. There was nothing really to look forward to in winter, not for him. It was blistering cold, food was scarce, and there was disease and death, but he tried to tolerate it, for the pack. His ears pricked up when he saw a pair of wolves rolling in the snow. He let out a small snort, wondering how those two could stand the wet feeling of their fur and the cold of the snow against their skin. He lay down in the least snow covered patch he could find and sighing, waiting to hopefully be chosen to go out on patrol to warm up. Hope and Aether|Female:Hope Male:Aether|Hunters|Mentions: Open Hope yawned, blinking open her eyes and squinting from the sunlight coming into the den. She looked over and pawed her brother Aether in the chest. He groaned and batted her paw away in his sleep. She gave a small laugh and began to paw him a bit harder. he groaned and woke up. "What?' he growled, squinting from the light. "Come oon....time to wake up." she said, and he groaned, going over onto his other side. She bit his ear lightly enough to pinch, and he yelped. "I'm up!" he said, jumping to his feet and went out of the Hunters den, Hope following after. She spotted a pair of wolves playing in the snow, with her older brother Rowan looking as grumpy in the cold as usual. She and Aether decided to leave him alone, but only after Aether pounced in the snow beside him, splashing him with cold snow. Rowan had been considerably more grumpy after that, and they both backed off. Aether bounded over to the two wolves who were playing, Mocha and Sierra, Hope believed their names were, and almost immediately pounced into a snow drift. Hope held back a giggle as she followed more slowly behind her brother, nervous about the wolves. She knew them, but at the same time she didn't, you know? She instead sat nearby and watched, clearly amused as he brother came out of the snow drift, looking like a snow wolf and he looked considerably embarrassed as he shook the snow out of his fur and sat near her. A chuckle escaped her lips. "Not a word...." he growled. She laughed. "I didn't say anything." she said mischeviously, earning a small glare from Aether. |
