What's going on…
It is mid-November in the rough terrain of the Northern Region. Here lies a vast forest and creeks flowing through the tall trees. Boulders and open plains dot parts of this Region. Autumn is coming to a close and winter will soon be upon a lonesome pack of wolves. They have no real pack name and they now have no leader. Inconveniently and unfortunately, the Alpha male has been brutally killed by someone or something. Was it a cougar? A bear? A fellow pack member? However, the focus isn't on finding out how he died, but who is going to replace him before the harsh winter is upon them. He has left no heirs because his mate passed away some years ago. The pack is coming together to vote on who should take charge, but there is an unspoken bitterness lingering in the air. Why?Once the betas are elected to become the alphas, a select few (like 2 or 3) pack members are plotting to reclaim the rank for themselves. Ironically, they are each plotting individually and time will soon tell if they carry out this plan before spring. But time will also tell that there are more important things to worry about than ranks. Food and one particular loner who has wondered into the pack's territory uninvited.

The Ranks
Alphas: Are the leaders of the pack and keep everything in order. They are mates and are the only ones who can have pups.
Betas: They are second in command. The organize hunts and patrols. They are not mates.
Pack Members: self- explanatory. They are the ones who hunt and patrol. They also help care for the pups.
Omegas: They are the lowest rank and are not respected. They can prove themselves by showing their strength or hunting tactics. This is not a permanent rank.
Elders: The oldest and wisest. They can be a past alpha who has passed their rank to their offspring.
Pups: Basically the future of the pack.
Loners: They are wolves seeking to be part of a pack or seek to cause problems among the pack.

Early Morning, sun is just rising

Very cold, on the breezier side. Snow maybe?
To Start...
The pack is excited for the new changes, but nervous on how they are going to find prey and whether or not the new alphas know what they're doing. What needs to take place after the pack awakes and gathers at the center of they "camp" is an organized hunt after a scouting mission to bordering territories to see if there is any prey they could possible take down without getting caught. The alphas are in charge of making these decisions now.
For now, there is only one Alpha, but once there is an Alpha male added just continue as if he has always been in the story : )

Celsius & Timber | Omega & Pup Celsius opened his eyes, looking at his den, which had rock walls and had a little moss on the rock walls. Celsius glanced over to the pup Timber, curled into his soft fluffy fur. Celsius's tail was around Timber's little body. Celsius yawned, he lifted his head up, as he felt a cold breeze drift through his fur. - Celsius nudged Timber, Timber opened her eyes slightly, Timber looked up to Celsius. *Yes father?* Timber asked her voice soft, she was still adjusting to the morning, Timber yawned. *I need you to come with me, we were supposed to meet with the pack.* Celsius said, Timber got up, she shifted her weight to her legs an paws. Celsius lifted his tail from around Timber, Timber stretched out. *It's quite cold.* Timber said, her tail shook slowly, Celsius got up, he shifted his weight to his legs and paws. Timber wagged her tail slowly, she waited for Celsius to start walking. *Keep up, and if you get to cold tell me.* Celsius said, Celsius's tail was down the tip of his tail up. *Okay!* Timber said in her high pitched voice, she was fully awake, unlike Celsius who was still out of it. |

Isolde | Alpha Female The alabaster-pelted female had been up for a while, and she was thinking about who she should sent for scouting, and she heard commotion. By the looks of it Celsius and Timber were awakes along with Kavan as well. The female felt a cool breeze ripple through her fur as she shook it out. She was glad the sun was out as it was extremely chilly outside. Making her way to Celsius and Timber she gave the pup a rare smile, but turned to the male wolf with her usual icy expression. "Celsius, I would like for you and Kavan to go scouting to find prey for us to hunt this morning. And I would like for you all to be back before everyone in this camp wakes up." Her tone was saying as if it was an order and not request, and the look in her amber eyes dared him to make a smartass remark or not follow her directions. Without a word she spun around and walked off to the center of the camp, and she lay down on a rock letting whatever sunlight was their hit her pelt. She knew the male knew what to do and she wasn't repeating herself as she made herself very clear. |

Joel | Elder
The discomfort in the elder's eyes only showed more as his gaze focused outside, seeing the sun beginning to rise. He scoffed slightly, in disbelief that he still had to wake up. The recent death of his sister took quite a toll on the male, but of course, Joel would never admit to that. Former alphas and wise elders don't admit to anything that bothers them, right? Right, is waht Joel told himself. That's how it always was, and that's how it always will be.
Joel heard the distant voice of his neice, Isolde. A fiery and cold alpha female, but a decent replacment for his sister. Joel wasn't unhappy that Isolde had taken his sister's place, but he still believed that her killers were among them, not some cougar or bear attack. The body would've been recovered by now, right? Or at leat her remains? Joel shook his head though, rising to all fours and stretching.
Joel approached Isolde, his large frame being hit by the sunlight, making him squint in the slighest. "You're already barking orders," he grumbled, still loud enough for Isolde to hear.
Sagira | Beta Female
"What the hell...?" Sagira muttered under her breath, feeling the sun finally begin to rize over the horizon. A quick scent of another wolf flooded her nose, only to make her liver nose twitch in curiosity. She sighed, deciding not to follow the scent, and much rather report to the new alpha, Isolde, the former alpha female's daughter. And former alpha male's neice. Although Joel was alpha before his sister, Sagira still wondered what it was like in his time of being alpha.
Probably stuck in old ways, she thought, trailing back to camp. She spotted Isolde talking to Celsius, giving the other wolf an order of sorts. She wasn't messing around, seeing that look she gave before going towards the middle of camp.
Sagira approached Joel and Isolde, giving a small bow with her head before speaking. "Signs of a loner along the southern border. I didn't pick up on any larger food, but there was luckily a few rabbits in the area... And even if they are still around, I doubt they're anywhere close." Sagira reported, holding her head high.
"I can help with a hunting or scouting party if needed." Sagira offered, a smal flick of the tail as she waited for a response.

Juan | Loner Juan opened his eyes slightly, A cold breeze went throughout his fur. Juan glanced around, dark gray clouds were in the sky, trees surrounded the curled up wolf. Juan had been planing to get a pup from the pack, he had been hanging around the pack. waiting for the right time to strike, his plan was simple. Find a wolf pup from the pack close to the packs territory lines, snatch the pup and get the heck out of there. Sure it wasn't the best plan, but it would have to work, as Juan didn't want to think up another plan. - Juan got up, shifting his weight to his legs and paws, he stretched out, and yawned. Juan stood up, he lowered his nose to the ground, he smelled a rabbit or two. *Nothing's better than a morning hunt, right? Right.* Juan said, he stood up, following the smell of rabbits. Celsius & Timber | Omega & Pup Celsius was approaching Kavan's den, Timber followed Celsius, Celsius stopped at the entrance of Kavan's den. *Hey dude, Isolde told me we are going scouting for prey.* Celsius said, he didn't ever say much, maybe just a sentence or two. Celsius had taken his eyes off Timber, who was looking to Isolde, Joel and Enigma. - Timber approached them, she wagged her tail. Timber knew Enigma disliked her for a reason, for what reason? Timber had no idea, she sat down in front of Isolde. *Hey guys, what are y'all talking about?!* Timber asked in her high pitched excited voice, Timber was just a innocent little pup, who was annoying sometimes. |

Enigma - Pack Member - M: Celsius, Timber
Sunlight barely made it inside the cold and dark den where Enigma was curled up sleeping. Slight breezes blew gently through her white pelt. Her yellow eyes blinked open. She was alone. She liked having a den to herself. Some other pack members would share dens, but Enigma made sure she got one to herself even if it was darker and colder.
She lifted her head and looked towards the sunlight. Letting out a burdened sigh, Enigma crawled out and was greeted by a full blast of sunshine. However, she was still met with a crisp autumn breeze. She glanced around. She saw Celsius walking towards Isolde. And that stupid pup... Enigma despised Timber for reasons she couldn't quiet understand herself.
Enigma approached Isolde slowly. She wasn't sure what to expect since she had never seen her friend in this position before. As she had been walking over, she saw her barking out orders already. "Good morning Isolde." Enigma greeted her in a friendly yet cautious tone. "I assume we are on the look out for more prey...? Seems like the winter isn't going to help us any." She looked up at the sky as if it would give her an answer to her burning question. Will the pack starve this winter?

Azkura | Pack Member - Azkura fluttered her eyes open, even tho her eyes had been closed, she had been awake for awhile. Azkura looked at her den entrance, she reluctantly stood up, shifting her weight to her legs and paws. Azkura stretched out, she would wake up early, but not want to get up for awhile after she would wake up. - Azkura walked out of her den, the sun was enough to keep her simi warm and functioning. Her tail wagged ever so slightly, she saw that a lot of the pack was up already. Azkura padded over to Isolde, she did a slight bow with her head. *Good morning everyone.* Azkura said annoyance in her tone, Azkura saw Timber's tail wagging. *Hey Azkura!* Timber said in her high pitched tone, Azkura's tail curled behind her. |
