Jackson I I Mentions: His family Jackson was pulled back out of his drifting off when he was shaken by Glory again. She was right, he did promise not to leave her ever again. He opened his eyes weakly again, but he couldn't speak, he could barely breathe, much less talk. He moved his hand weakly onto her hand that was on her cheek. He was trying to stay awake, breathe correctly, but he couldn't breathe through one lung, so his breaths were short and shallow, it was hard to keep himself awake. His eyes gleamed with his pain, but also his love for Glory. He didn't want to go, he wanted to stay there with her. He grimaced before he forced a small smile upon his lips. He was dying, he felt it. His eyes threatened to flutter shut, he couldn't make it for much longer. Edited at October 10, 2021 09:05 PM by Dragonhorse

Sky & Shadow | M: Malaki Sky closed her eyes for a moment before sighing, "I need to sleep." Shadow picked up immediately on that, having the trees move the three of them into a large pine tree, hidden away from the ground before placing them in a large hollow that opened up. Sky curled up to one side, slowly falling asleep as Shadow tilted his head towards Malaki. "Do you believe in spirits Malaki? Or ghosts for that matter?" Shadow asked, with a gentle smile on his face.
Shi | M: Glory and her family, Ibex
Shi raced on, nearing the tree-line. Glory had already gotten there with her family, although Shi could see Jackson fall off of her. Shots rang out behind Shi before her ice caught a couple. One missed her head by a couple inches and she ducked it as she burst into the tree line. Instantly, she shook the woman off of her back before growling hard. Ice formed faster with the trees around to block any opening and was much thicker now. Shi's mind went out and a few minutes later, any wolf, bear and deer in the area was plunging out of the woods, starting to fight Ibex. The birds had stopped chirping and were raining down to peck at Ibex's heads.
Shi panted, she would only be able to do this for a little bit. Turning, she spotted Glory with Jackson who was bleeding out. Shi shifted, stretching her arm slightly before reaching into her bag. Pulling out an amber gem, she said, "Move over," to Glory before kneeling next to Jackson. Rubbing the gem once, she hovered it over Jackson's chest before it started glowing. Moving it slowly down his body, he started to heal, the blood flow stopping as his skin knitted back together. Once done the first time, she waved the gem over him again to make sure everything was okay before moving out of the way for Glory.
She looked back at her ice wall, seeing Ibex slowly starting to retreat and released her grip on the animals. Many of them were injured so she called them over to her, healing the most important injuries before letting them off into the woods. Once Shi couldn't see Ibex anymore, she released the ice wall before taking account of her own injuries. A couple scratches from close combat and a couple of glass shards but otherwise, she was fine. Well that went well, Shi thought annoyed with herself.

Malaki: Mentions: Sky and Shadow "Do you believe in spirits Malaki? Or ghosts for that matter?" Malaki heard Shadow say, as he was doing another sweep. Satisfied, he lowered the rifle and turned to Shadow. "I believe in spirits; more specifically when we die we go onto the afterlife. But no, I don't believe in the concept of ghosts. How would spirits of those that came before us be trapped down here on Earth? And to add on that, how would spirits be able to stay here on their own will? It's really confusing for me." Malaki said, rubbing his head and he tried to sit down, before noticing that Sky was asleep, no doubt recooperating from her wounds. "No offense to Sky; she got us out of a hairy situation and all, but I don't feel safe being in one place for too long knowing that Ibex is chasing after us. Yeah, we can stay here and collect our thoughts, but I feel like we should stay here no more than a few minutes, unless you have another trick to completely hide us away from them."

Shadow & Sky | M: Malaki Shadow was satisfied with Malaki's answer before the other man said, "No offense to Sky; she got us out of a hairy situation and all, but I don't feel safe being in one place for too long knowing that Ibex is chasing after us. Yeah, we can stay here and collect our thoughts, but I feel like we should stay here no more than a few minutes, unless you have another trick to completely hide us away from them." Shadow chuckled before tapping Malaki's shoulder, "Watch."
Sky had fallen asleep, straight into a deep sleep. The only difference was that her heart stopped completely and that she was no longer breathing. Her spirit lifted up out of her body in the shape of a fox, taking a step beside her before looking at Malaki and Shadow. She opened her mouth, letting out a silent yip before hopping over to the entrance. She looked back at them once before leaping out, running through the air as she started towards California. In her spirit form, she couldn't be hurt at all and could still figure out where they needed to go. Granted, she couldn't touch anything or talk to anyone but it was good enough for right now.

Malaki: Mentions: Sky and Shadow Malaki watched in absolute disbelief as a spirit in the shape of a fox ascended from Sky. At first, Malaki thought that she had died and was panicking, but now he was just awestruck by what Sky was able to do. Malaki watched Sky's spirit run off and he turned to Shadow. "I won't lie to you... that's awesome." But as quickly as his smile appeared, it disappeared and was replaced with fear. "But at the same time, incredibly sobering for me. One: I once again feel like I got the short end of the stick when it came to powers; Sky can do all that while I can only shout at people and only be able to fight people at night thanks to how my Lycanthropy works. Two: Imagine what else Ibex has unlocked through the years it lied beneath the radar. Oh god, could you imagine fighting a mutant if Ibex has been able to brainwash people? They would have super soldiers." Malaki bit his lip just thinking about the fight, knowing he would most likely be the first one to be killed. Edited at October 10, 2021 09:40 PM by Shadow Hearts

Shadow | M: Malaki Shadow tapped his cane, listening to Malaki before responding, "Your powers will evolve with time Malaki. Sky has not always been able to do that, but for years since the first fires, we all have evolved. And changed in our thinking. And for Ibex, they are always changing. I can no longer be surprised at what they do." Shadow frowned before sighing, "But that's the world we live in, and every power is of good use."

Malaki: Mentions: Shadow and Sky "But that's the world we live in, and every power is of good use." Shadow said as he tapped his cane. Malaki nodded and sighed, closing his eyes as he let the frustration fade away from him, before looking at Sky's unconscious body. "At least I have a gun to fight with." Malaki checked the clip before reinserting it into the rifle. "So... what's the gameplan now? Ibex forced us out of the safehouse, and now we're on the run. Where do we go to next? Do we try to meet up with more mutants or try to find another safe house to hide in?" Edited at October 10, 2021 09:53 PM by Shadow Hearts

Shadow | M: Malaki "So... what's the gameplan now? Ibex forced us out of the safehouse, and now we're on the run. Where do we go to next? Do we try to meet up with more mutants or try to find another safe house to hide in?" Malaki asked and Shadow tilted his head towards him before thinking on it. "We need to find the other mutants. Lev in particular, but I need to make sure my sister is okay. So we will probably swing around close to the border of California before looking for Lev." Shadow said after a moment, his senses and energy threads reaching out for his sister which he could not feel at the moment. After a couple minutes, he rummaged around in a small bag on his belt before pulling out a gem. It was supposed to be a blood red but he wouldn't be able to see that. "Is this red?" He asked Malaki before the gem started glowing and flashing dully. He could feel the energy threads connected to it, meaning that his sister was in fact alive.

"Yes it's red." He responded, but Benny was showing up once again. "Great, just great. You've been paired up with a blind person and someone who can leave their body: that's TOTALLY safe to do. And also, you left behind your backpack like an absolute dumbass, so I would start thinking about who you're going to rob to get another backpack to hold your stuff, because clearly you aren't stuffing anything else in your pockets." Malaki simply squinted before looking up, knowing that Benny was completely right. "Uh... that sounds like a good plan Shadow. I'll leave you and Sky to it then." Malaki decided that he would kill some time by observing all of the little details that made up the rifle.

Shadow | M: Malaki Shadow tilted his head back to Malaki, "Are you sure you want to leave? Ibex is still out there and working together might be our best chance to survive." Shadow said, a bit surprised that Malaki was going to leave. At that moment, Sky's fox spirit hopped back into the hollow going over to Sky before slipping away. Sky shuddered a moment later, sitting up with a hand going up to her head. "Found Lev, but also found Flame, her child and Arlin. We can head northwest." Sky said before noticing that him and Malaki had been in conversation, "What were you two talking about?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.
