Every biome has it's pros and cons. My favourites are Tundra and Jungle ^^
Jungle has more mush, better feather, but also more dangerous enemies. While Tundra has bit less mush, one meh feather, but less and less dangerous enemies :3

In Tundra there are 2 feathers. Each has their own scenario. So if you shoo away the birdwatcher you get Snowy Owl feather. If you meet a boy attacking Ptargamian bird and shoo the boy away you get Ptarmigan feather-thou your wolf might decide to kill the bird too and in that case you don't get the feather.

Roadrunner feather has limited usecases, it is an option that can be used so that's nice, but yeah it is low value feather. I never used it nor sold it.

More sought after feathers are Toucan, Robin, Jay. While Eagle is good help for those who care about FMC or disposition. Snow Owl and Roadrunner ones are bit meh :'3

Ptarmigan feather will increase chance of dynamic coats only-found in Tundra.

But nothing for exclusives or crystaline

Plot:

In the vast expanse of the Scylla Sea, an age-old rivalry brews between the enchanting sirens of the Egen Kingdom and the graceful mermaids of the Kelso Kingdom. For centuries, these mystical beings have vied for the attention of passing sailors, luring them towards treacherous waters with their haunting melodies and beguiling beauty.

Every day, as ships sail through the azure depths of the Scylla Sea, sirens and mermaids emerge from the shimmering waves, each seeking to ensnare unwitting sailors in their clutches. Their ethereal songs echo across the sea, a haunting melody that has claimed countless lives over the years.

However, amidst the tales of tragedy and loss, a new development emerges. A group of curious humans, drawn by the mysterious disappearances plaguing the Scylla Sea, venture into these perilous waters. To the surprise of both sirens and mermaids, these humans possess an immunity to their enchanting songs.

As the sirens attempt to drown the humans with their bewitching melodies, they find their efforts futile against these resilient beings. Likewise, the mermaids, intrigued by the humans' immunity, investigate further, only to discover that their own charms have no effect on them either.

Extra Details:

Kelso Kingdom - Kelso is lead by the Roku family, though during the RP they don't need to appear. The only mermaids with the Roku last name, do come from the royal family. No, you can't be from the royal family. (Unless we worked out something.)

Kelso is build around a kingdom, a tall and ominous castle. Kelso is placed in the middle of the sea, with Elgen closer to the beach of Elysian Isle.(island)

The people of Kelso fear their leaders, and treat them as people they have to appease.

Elgen Kingdom - Elgen is build closer to the Elysian Isle, and has a much smaller castle. The Elgen royals will appear with the last name "Xiomara". No, you may not play a royal (unless planned out by me.)

The people of Elgen treat the royals as leaders but also friends.

Humans - The humans are just regular humans, all from different parts of the world that have met each other various different ways and formed a group. There will be enemies, best friends, etc. The humans should be split between thinking the mermaids/sirens are dangerous and should be killed and thinking they're friends.

More information will be made for later on in the RP, the discussion thread will have it all.

Camarie Teria (Cam)|human|female|M: open
Camarie sat down near the ocean, dipping her toes into the water. The waves crashed around her and she resisted the urge to swim with them. She wasn't exactly sure about her new surroundings, despite being here for some time. Something about the stories of the sirens and mermaids bothered her, though she wasn't sure what. She wasn't sure she liked their surroundings, they often made her feel twitchy and jumpy. Cam often liked to think that the prescence of another human sometimes helped, but she wasn't always sure. She wasn't sure what she thought of Marcos, but they probably should work together. Physically shaking her head, Cam got up from her sitting position by the water and jumped in, ready for a swim to distract her from her thoughts.

Irwin Llyr | Male | Whale-Shark Merman | M:Open
Gentle fingers brushed along the coral that clung to the reefy banks, rocks protruding out as they offered shelter to octopus, eels, crabs and other small creatures as a long shadow passed overhead with great speed, creating a small change in the waters current as the creature disturbed it's natural path before it gradually returned back to normal. A school of silvery scaled fish dispersed as a young brown haired boy burst through the middle, startling the small critters as they scattered, a long tail idly swinging from left to right as the boy kept himself hovering for a moment, taking in the sights of the reef with his curious glowing yellow eyes.
°
Sunlight rippled through the surface of the water, casting shimmering beams as the boy continued to move forward, his tail a dark brown and covered in white spots that resembled that of a whale shark, the movements causing small bursts of bubbles that quickly vanished as he pressed on, peering around kelp strands and under small rock perches.
°
His brown, white spotted hair waved about hypnotically in the water as if alive with a mind of its own, following the water as it gently flowed through his locks. It seemed like the world might never end, that he could travel forever and still not see all there was to see despite the many miles he had already traversed thus far. He decided to slow down as he came to what appeared to be remnants of an old fishing boat, pieces of wood scattered here and there as he sat himself inside of one of the two halves, folding his tail neatly Infront of him as if they were legs. 'Strange... Why would the humans not just.. swim and catch their food? Surely it would be faster and more efficient than sitting around in one of these all day?'
His eyes scrunched up in a confused look as he decided to get out of the boat, scattering some of the sand as his fingers dug up a half buried oar, wielding it in his claws.
'...Not very sharp either. This is a terribly made spear...'
He shook his head almost in pity as he brandished the oar like some short version of a spear, waving it around as he tried to convince himself of the idea of humans having used it this way. 'Gods, this is just impossible.'
He held the oar in the palms of his hands as he held it up, investigating different angles of the oar with heavy concentration.
°
With a small shrug of his shoulders he tied one end of the oar to his small satchel he had found washed up near one of his favourite sunbathing rocks, using it to store his found treasures inside and to tie larger ones to so he would not lose them.
°
His yellow eyes scanned the ocean floor once again as he looked for anything of interest, before he soon began to set off towards the east, noting how the ocean floor seemed to drop every so often as the water grew a bit colder and a little darker as the sun fought harder to reach through from the surface.

Thea Vesper | F | 225 | Siren | Mentions: Open for interaction

Beauty. Intrigue. Bloodshed. The mantra of her existence summed up by three words, and yet, Thea found herself to be indescribable. Beauty? Obviously - you’d be blind to not acknowledge it, but even if you were, Thea wouldn't mind detailing her appearance. Call it arrogance or confidence, she wouldn't disagree with either presumption. Intrigue? Well yes, being intriguing comes with being a siren. Sailors, or those unlucky enough to be out at sea, fall to their curiosity more often than not, so sure. Intrigue. Bloodshed? Par of the course, really. The sight of blood could mean one of two things; either she succeeded in capturing yet another dimwitted victim, or less believable, she was somehow injured in the process.

‘I would never allow such a thing.’ Thea rolled her eyes at the audacity of such a thought, why it even crossed her mind was beyond her. A human? Hurting her? Insane, truly. Kicking the concept from her thoughts, Thea busied herself with a much more significant task, one that could truly make or break her day. What task held such importance? Why, an outfit, of course! A siren such as herself couldn't just venture out into open waters without looking like a femme fatale. It had to be blasphemy. Now, if only she could figure out what jewelry piece would best compliment her current attire. Over the years, Thea would obtain several garments from past victims - all unethically sourced, by the way - and with time, created flattering designs to adorn her body with. But for now, she was stumped. Her iridescent fins were swaying softly against the thin layer of sand on the cavern floor, barely stirring it as she floated mindlessly in front of a large antique mirror.

Thea was quite proud of her current look; hugging her body was a deep plum bodice with delicate lace along the hem and off-the-shoulder neckline, strings of silver and white beads hanging loosely around her hips, and a matching necklace that barely went past her collarbone. But something felt missing… Thea couldn't put a finger on it. Moonlight colored eyes were narrowed in thought, scanning her large array of jewelry with a keen eye until she spotted a delicate silver headband, sparkling diamonds encrusted along the band. Thea’s expression softened as memories flooded her mind, memories of the dashing siren woman who gifted her such a gem. Her hands caressed the headpiece, a velvety hum reverberating off the cavern walls.

“A lovely woman she was, and such a sweetheart, too. Perhaps it's time to wear this once more, to give it life.” She lifted the headband into her hair and was beginning to style it, only to notice something catch her eye. Hidden in the crevice of stone glimmered a pair of amethyst earrings hanging from silver hooks. Her eyes lit up, and with little care, Thea tossed aside the headband and let it settle on the sand in favor of the earrings. “What's dead can stay dead, as they say! Whoever they may be.”

A few hours later…

The ethereal siren had traveled far away from her cavern in search of more trinkets and any sign of prey (the trinkets were preferred), becoming more famished with each mile she swam. Thea could tell by the increasing streams of sunlight that land was near, and while she didn't like the thought of becoming a beached whale, she couldn't deny that human oddities washed up on shore often. Perhaps she’d find more jewelry. ‘I better find something - letting a lady starve should never be tolerated!’

Caspian Roku | M | 493 | Merman | Mentions; Thea Vesper (ind) Open for interactions!
It wasn't unusual for Caspian to disappear for a night, a day.. sometimes even a whole week. Last night had been just another one of those nights. Nobody worried for the former prince -- he always came back home quickly and unharmed.

Caspian woke to the sunlight from above dancing onto the calm water he floated in. He had found yet another series of tunnels last night and decided to follow them instead of going to the surface to lure humans, like he should have. These tunnels had lead him further and further away from the regular ocean and into a circluar pond surrounded by smooth rocks, short enough that he could pull himself up and rest there if he wanted.

Blinking sleep from his eyes, Caspian gently floated away from the sunlight coming through a giant and roughly heart shaped hole in the rock above. Once he had let himself fully wake up, he turned himself over and onto his front. And with that, Caspian dove down and swam back under to the tunnels that would lead him out.

Caspian took one last look at the little cove before swimming through the tunnels. 'Sprinting would be much faster.' Caspian mentally sighed; he loved being fast but these tunnels had jagged rocks that made it unsafe to sprint.

"I'll be coming back here." Caspian smiled to himself. While he was there, in that cove, he hadn't been bothered by absolutely anything. Everything was peaceful during his stay, even the water was undisturbed. It was simply perfect. Of course, that was until another being came across it.

Finally coming out of the tunnel, Caspian headed up towards the surface to poke his head out of the water. Just as before, the island wasn't too far away but a distance far enough that the land people wouldn't spot him... hopefully.

Caspian dove down again after a quick survey above the water. He didn't get too far down, staying just about in the middle from the surface and the bottom of the Scylla Sea. He swam for about an hour in the opposite direction of the island which lead him to a much smaller island that could barely be called an island. This was a little marker that meant he was in between the Kelso kingdom and the Elgen kingdom.

Swimming in a circle around the smallish island, Caspian looked for any sign of any other mermaid, merman or siren of some sort. When he found nobody else, Caspian hoisted himself up onto the island and sat there still avoiding the work he should've had done last night.

"Rather warm today.." Caspian murmured and just when he had turned his head to look to the right he noticed the water was rippling. Not a huge amount, but enough that another aquatic being could tell there was someone or something swimming there.

Caspian didn't bother to check further though his eyes did follow the path of where the being was headed.

'Might just be another mermaid or even a siren.' Caspian shrugged, turning his gaze to the sky. His tail was still dipped into the water and gently swaying back and forth much like how one would slowly kick their feet.

Marcos Prescott | 26 | He/Him | Sailor

M: Cam

“Prescott.”

Marcos shifted in his dazed state, squeezing his eyes tighter in hopes he would be allowed to sleep in. He wrapped his bandage around his left arm a bit too tight last night— that or some mold or creature had gotten into the fabric he used— and his arm ached with an itch that kept him awake. Other than the redness of his arm and rough texture of the hammock, the only thing Marcos felt was heavy bags under his eyes that dragged on his face. He desperately wanted to go back to sleep but he could just hear the grating voice of Archie going: “Prescott…

“Archie, leave ‘im be, will ya?” Chris huffed softly. “Let the guy sleep in.”

“Well, he’s gotten plenty of sleep this week and his lazy ass needs to get up already,” Archie growled back as Marcos could just picture his face wrinkle with anger at Chris, his freckles scrunching together. Archie’s heavy footsteps collided with the wood by Marcos’s bed. Marcos could practically hear his enraged, boar-like breathing before the man started clapping right into his ear. “Prescott! Wake the fuck up already!”

Startled from his half-asleep state, Marcos shot up from the loud, sudden sound. His body was rigid for a moment before he turned, glared at Archie, and whacked him in the side of the ribs. Archie gave a pathetic sound in either shock or pain (despite Marcos barely tapping him). Like a toddler, Archie shoved Marcos and stomped over to his hammock on the other side of the ship’s cabin, muttering to himself about how “ungrateful” and “useless” Marcos was. Marcos just sighed and propped himself up on the backboard of the bed, lazily taking in the room’s messiness.

Marcos had only been with this new crew for a bit yet the room Marcos shared with the crew already threw his things in wildly different directions. Rations, supplies, and ammunition was strewn about so much so that Marcos’s shirt was somewhere lost in one of the piles of belongings Marcos had no energy to search. Hammock placement had been rearranged so Chris was the mediator of the other two warring men in the room with a few other hammocks of other crew members also in between as meat shields. This was fortunate in some regards in that the sun was coming through the porthole on Archie’s end, furthest from Marcos, but this also placed most of the random piles of important things further from Marcos’s grasp.

Chris sat with his legs crossed under the off-white sheets of his hammock with odd stains from never being washed. Chris was the only one fully dressed out of the three of them in the cabin and he seemed the most ready with an air of freshness permeating from him. He looked almost regal as he adjusted his pristine glasses and pushed his neatly combed brown hair out of his face while looking down at the map on his bed. Half-naked like Marcos, Archie was picking clothes off the floor by him and putting them on his hammock, but the room was still an insurmountable mess. The sun peering through the window above Archie’s hammock only made the mess of the room more apparent as it highlighted all the areas that needed cleaning, including Archie’s mess of a red tuff he called “hair.” Marcos could not make sense of his actions, maybe he was looking for a particular shirt or he was genuinely trying to make the room better, but he was poorly failing at both. Committing to not moving his body, Marcos did up his belt, vowing to search for his shirt and coat later, and reached into the satchel beside the bed to pull out a hunk of wood and a small knife.

“Sooo—” Chris interrupted the silence as he looked up from the rustic map over at Marcos with a smile— “did you get all the beauty sleep ya needed?”

A chuckle left Marcos’s lips. “Yeah, but I don’t think I got enough to make up for those of us who ain’t got any beauty.” Archie’s sunburnt face met Marcos’s as Marcos nodded in his direction, causing Chris’s to snicker.

“That ‘pposed to be funny, Prescott?”

“It is. It ain’t as funny as your face though, that’s for sure,” Marcos retorted with a smirk, not looking up from hewing the wood in his hand. He loved how easily his bad insults got under Archie’s skin.

“Christ, you’re annoying…,” Archie muttered with a scowl, roughly throwing the shirt he had just picked up down on the hammock so much so that it nearly swung around in a whole circle.

“Aww, is someone grumpy?~” Marcos purred. Marcos could practically hear Archie’s blood veins popping as he placed a foot on the floor and rocked himself in the hammock. Marcos’s smirk only grew. “Chris, I think the baby needs to go down for a nap because he’s starting to throw a tantrum.”

“Shut your trap, Prescott!”

“Hey, he’s just joking around… Let’s not—”

“‘Let’s not’ what, Chris?” Archie barked as he spun around to properly face Marcos and Chris. “Let’s not fight? Let’s not be a dickwad? Let’s not what?” Archie threw his hands up as he waited for an answer from Chris. As Chris averted his gaze, Archie turned his blue-eyed gaze to Marcos. “Because I sure as hell can assure you that Marcos already did whatever you’re about to say.” Archie began walking towards Marcos’s hammock, causing Chris to stand off his hammock in anticipation and Marcos to look up in his direction. “Anytime you say ‘let’s not,’ it’s when you tell me, someone you’ve known for years, to lay off on a slacker with a bad mouth.” Archie stood over Marcos, glaring down at him as his shadow blocked the warm light of the window. “You’re just defending a soulless, son of a pirate!”

Marcos instantly stood up and got right in Archie’s face. Marcos’s green eyes seeped with poisonous anger as he whispered: “Repeat that again. I dare you.”

There was a second of silence.

“You’re only researchin’ the disappearance of sailors for money. You’re no better than the man everyone knows is your father, Prescott. You’re a greedy, self-serving, self-righteous pir—”

“Okay, guys, how about we not do this right now, alright?” Chris chuckled nervously, stepping between them as he placed a hand on both their chests and pushed them apart like magnets that were clawing towards each other. Chris looked at Marcos with kind eyes yet Marcos never took his eyes off his opponent. “Marcos, we wanted to wake you up since we are stopping in town and stretching our legs before we head out. Did you want to get out for a bit of fresh air and dry land?”

There was another second of silence.

“It’d be my pleasure,” Marcos hissed, his words like venom for the daggers he was glaring at Archie.

Picking up his shirt, coat, swords, gun, and satchel, Marcos left the room and slammed the door behind him.

Cam was the first he found and not entirely on purpose. Marcos just wanted to walk along the beach of the island to cool off. It was not exactly fun to wake up to Archie of all people. Of course, deep down Marcos knew he was part of the problem but Archie was just so damn aggravating.

Regardless, Cam was the one he found first because, as he was walking past the fish stalls and crowded docks, he spotted her swimming in the water.

Cam looked genuinely happy as Marcos sat on the docks. Stripping off his tall black boots and socks, Marcos dipped his feet in the water, undoing his scabbarded that weighed him down. Marcos leaned on the damp, rotting, wooden railing of the dock and smiled.

Marcos felt bad for bothering Cam, but he did have questions to ask. Questions that he did not get answered by Chris after Archie decided to not be able to take a joke. After a moment of letting her swim more, Marcos cupped his hands to his mouth.

”Hey Cam!” Marcos called. “Can you come in for a second when you’re done? I need to talk to you!”

Thea Vesper | F | 225 | Siren | Mentions: Caspian Roku + Open

“This is absolutely foul. How in the seven seas is there nothing to show for my efforts? Nothing!” Thea was exasperated, to say the least. Beneath hundreds of heavy boulders, scraping harsh sand and the grains ending up beneath her fingernails, the grounds were desolate. Zilch. Nada. How could the forces that run this world allow such a thing to happen to her? After all, she even put in manual labor! Even if Thea would never admit the “hundreds of boulders” were actually a couple of stones, and the sand was on the contrary, rather soft… Anyways, she put in work, and there was nothing to show of it. Hugging her bag made of netting close to her side, the siren was close to giving up for the day and heading back home.’Perhaps I’ll have more luck with hunting tonight. Maybe a fancier ship will cross these waters and have all the trinkets I need! And of course, food.’ All hope seemed utterly lost, and with a dramatic sigh, Thea pushed onward for a little while longer.

As luck would have it, her day was about to get a lot more interesting. Far off into the distance, a glimmer of color reflected against the dappled sunlight that cascaded across the sand, and evidently, another visitor in these waters. Thea honed in on the sliver of dark coloring, curiosity (or impulsivity) pulling her closer to it. Whoever this may be, perhaps they could assist her with finding more objects to decorate her lovely abode. If they were resistant to such a request, then perhaps company could be all she requested. ‘Beats having to talk for two, at least.’ Slowly, she could make out the unique tapestry of color that played along the darkness of this person’s tail, and Thea would be lying if she said the colors didn’t remind her of a late sunset.

Anticipation weighed on her mind as finally, this curious siren rose from the water’s salty depths, floating barely a foot from whoever she planned on greeting. Beneath a blanket of thick wine red lashes, luminescent eyes laid upon the sight of what appeared to be a merman. It seemed like she was analyzing each and every feature of his, her stare lazily noting his appearance with mild interest. ‘Chiseled features… pretty eyes… At the very least, he’ll be great to look at if the conversation is boring.’ Thea tucked the loose strands of scarlet behind her pointed ear, the amethyst earring swaying when her pointed nail bumped it. A deceivingly gentle smile graced her full lips, matching the almost flirtatious way her half-lidded eyes peered up at stranger. The siren’s sharp canines barely poked out as a warning, the only hint of danger that laid beneath an enchanting facade. Even beneath the waves, sunlight made her elegant tail shimmer with various shades of silver and blues, the same colors that enchanted many to their demise. With a tilt of her head, she began to speak in a tone similar to silk, an alluring breathiness adding depth to her voice.

“How lucky I am to find someone who could keep me company in such empty waters. My name is Thea, though I wouldn’t object to a nickname, as long as it’s tasteful. To be plain with you, I have been searching these sands for any remnants of jewelry or trinkets that might’ve washed up near this island, but it seems as though my luck has faltered.” Her eyes lowered to his lips for barely a second before flickering upwards once more. “At least, I thought that was the case. Would you be so kind as to help me? Or if that’s not your fancy, to keep me company?”
