He smiled softly as he carefully laid her down and picked her up bridal style. He remembered how he used to do this with his sister when she was younger before she went to be. She would pretend to sleep and Sylvester would pick her up and carry her to bed. He missed her. Sure, Irene was a bit spoiled and a brat at times but she was still his sister. And of course, he felt like he abandoned her and was not even helping her escape their parents. He felt...selfish. As he gently put her on the bed, he sat in a chair nearby, lost in his own thoughts. |
