Layne Marie // M // 17 // Star Lead // Respawn/Winged // M: Askel Layne glanced toward Askel for a moment or two, his sapphire eyes scanning his faint silhouette before following his gesture to the main building. It would go through the hallway but... that was what made sense at the very least. A shiver ran down his spine once again, his feathered wings fluffing up out of habit. "I don't know if it'll do any good," he finally said, breathless and barely over a whisper. "Whatever was... is out there probably won't be affected by anything we try and do." Layne rubbed his face for a moment. "It's... we're just going to have to run," he finally murmured under his breath. But, out of the corner of his eye, in the window, as the darkness slowly began to shift in the distant forests... he spotted a figure walking along the outside of the buildings. Their white hair all but glowed in the darkness and reflection of the moonlight. "Silver--" Layne whispered quietly, a sharp bolt of panic in his chest. "Askel, we gotta get out there. Silver's all alone. Or I have to, something!" |

Fabian Zeller // M // 26 // VP // Unicorn // M: Skylar, Alex, Lyka, Pierce "I would rather you stay here and stay inside," Fabian stated, addressing Alex and Lyka as they attempted to leave the other two alone. The unicorn seemed tired and didn't move from his spot near a window. "It isn't safe to split up. The more we stick together, the better we can defend ourselves," he said shortly. One hand drifted up to his side, pressing against it for a moment or two. The man suppressed another shiver and instead turned to the two students. "If you must go somewhere, the third door down the hallway should be a supply closet. If there are blankets, we need them. How about you grab those?" |

I jump as I hear the voice from the corner. I hadn't noticed Mr. Zeller. I realize that my lips are pulled back in a saber-toothed snarl, and relax. "Sorry." I mutter. "Yes Mr. Zeller." I shift back to human and add, "Sure, I can grab blankets. But what about everyone else who may have survived? I don't want to leave them! Especially since there's so many new fire students..." I don't want any of my students to die, even that pesky winged guy. |

Askel/Male/Fire Student (until roster is changed)/Water & Ice manipulation/M:Silver Layne ◊ "It could help slow it down though. " I argued back, "It'll at least buy us some time if needed.". I then saw Maybe staring at the window, and looked through it as well. I saw Silver walking by the woods. " What is she doing out there?" I asked just as Maybe said that we needed to go get her. I nodded in agreement though he probably couldn't see the movement. I reached for the wooden bat I had brought with me when I first came here. I quietly walked to the door, and headed out of the building hoping Maybe was behind me. |

Fabian Zeller // M // 26 // VP // Unicorn // M: Lyka Fabian's eyes slid closed, leaning against the windowsill for a minute or so while he took in steadying breaths. "I understand," he finally said softly, taking in another deep breath. "This is a time of turmoil and such," he confirmed with a slow nod. Finally, his eyes slid open as he glanced toward Lyka fully. "They will likely come here to the main building as soon as they can," he finally said. "And if not, you won't go risking your lives for them. We can all go as a group once we have a more secure place of refuge." His chest lifted, catching slightly before lowering in a shaking breath. |

It was always this point in time in which Layne's lack of self-preservation really shown through like a lighthouse in the fog of the sea. He had already met Askel at the door, his sapphire eyes flickered with determination. Did he have a plan? Yes. Was it a great plan? That... could be questioned but he had a plan. "Be my look out," Layne directed, slipping along the hallway. "It's not going to be safe to go running out there. But, I don't have to run," he spread golden feathered wings--dropping some white and black feathers as well. "If it comes to it, you get Silver out of there. Y'all can die," Layne leapt to the doorway and pried the metal door open as quietly as one really could. He glanced back to Askel. "I can't." |

Askel/Male/Fire Student/Water&Ice manipulation/M: Silver Layne ◊ Askel looked over at Layne and listened. I watched as he lifted off I to the air, a few feathers falling as he did so. I used the cold temperatures and ice particles around me to create an armor made out of ice around me. I then created a small snow storm ego hide me, and my foot steps in the snow. I then beaded over to Silver, since I was practically invisible in this white landscape. |

I realize that Mr. Zeller doesn't look so good. "A-are you okay?" I ask, wondering what happened. I shift again, my ears flattening as I smell him. He smells wrong. I wonder if he's hurt somewhere. I summon some fire, to comfort myself. I also hope that all the other students are okay. I mean, I haven't even seen them today. What if they are hurt? I wish that I could go back in time to this morning. It had been so peaceful, so nice... |

Layne Marie // M // 17 // Star Lead // Respawn/Winged // M: Askel, Silver Soft wing beats echoed in the still air. It wasn't quite loud enough to drown out the rising sound of creatures, bugs and other sounds that filled the woods now. They no longer seemed that calm, that safe, or that enticing. The young man shook his head, shaking the thoughts from his head as his sapphire eyes scanned the land below, spotting the figure of Silver... and Askel. Well, at least he was there. Back up was a good idea, he'd had to mention that to Askel later. Layne dipped downward, slipping through the air and stretched his hands out to reach for Silver, intending to lift her off the ground and into the air.

Though he knew full well that she wasn't convinced at all, the man finally sighed. "I am a bit tired from healing. I don't often heal... as of late. I usually just shift," he explained gently. Fabian glanced down the hallway again, then to the windows. "I think it's best if we stay here." |

I understand that healing and shifting is hard. I actually may need to rest soon." Whatever he did, though, calmed me down, and gave me more energy. However, I am distracted from him as my extremely keen wolf hearing picks up footsteps and wings. Probably the winged guy and someone else. But what are they doing? |
