He... realized the other student likely hadn't been there when everything had happened. "The... two leaders of the other groups basically attacked me and then bullied me ... on my first day. It was an absolute disaster and I went to the principal about it. I was either going to break from both groups or make my own." He rubbed the back of his neck. "I... got permission to make my own group. The Star group..." Layne managed a wane smile. "If--if you want you could join--?" |

That," he chewed on the inside of his cheek for a moment or two, lifting his hand up to rub his neck before glancing toward the hallway. "I'll... go save us a bench or something in the commons room." He stepped back, risking one more look toward Silver, before finally making his way down the hallway. Layne winced, pushing his hands through his hair. Oh he really didn't know how to comfort her and he wished, with everything, that he could just make it feel better. But he couldn't even do anything at all. Maybe fly. Layne shook his head lightly, stepping into the commons room and glancing around. |

Silver | Female | Fire Student | Energy Manipulation | M: Layne, Askel "Wait... They.. They said yes..!?" Her voice rose in pitch as she confirmed what she had just heard was actually what he said, and not some strange version of a joke or trick on her mind and ears. "Layne! That's amazing!" She gave a slightly wider smile, although it still refused to carry to her eyes, the corners of them not scrunching in the way they do when she smiles genuinely. Her excitement was still apparent none the less, the thought of a new group was interesting to say in the least. It could give them all another chance at peace and quiet away from the rough housing lot in the other groups. It filled her with a small tinge of sadness and unease though. She had always given her best to stay neutral even though she had been landed as a fire student, and she thought of the other members like a second family. But perhaps, this change would give her a chance to focus on what she found most important at this school. ° Her history of truancy, late entries to classes and other trouble making could all be erased, wiped over and restarted. If Layne would let her join that was... Her eyes rose to meet his gaze, their dull brown gleaming, intrigued. She didn't want to let him down. He had already been through enough. 'I won't tarnish the reputation of this group.. I've messed up enough already.' Her thoughts raced a bit as she nervously bit her lower lip. ° "..So... Does that mean you have space for me to tag along too? Surely you don't think you'll be running this team alone." She gave a mischievous smirk as she watched Layne's expression for his answer. 'As if I'd let Askel have all the fun either..' She thought amused. |
