Tragedy pauses and thinks quickly of what to do. The fact that the lion didn't lurch at him to begin with makes him feel like the creature isn't quite looking for a fight just yet.

You let out a loud roar and open your wings to make yourself bigger. This seems to set him off more and his mane extends fully before he lunges at you, swiping a paw at your shoulder and narrowly missing one of your pets.

You quickly back away and re-evaluate what you're doing... he's clearly protecting something.
