Iris growled silently as she was woken up by a call. " Yeah whos this? Oh.. its you. Do you realize what time it is, buddy? Look... I.. cant. Im sorry. But I guess we should at least just..talk things through. But thats it. Nothing else"

She mumbled a curse word before getting out of bed and grabbed some jeans , a short sleeve shirt and sneakers before sending him her address. I hate sneeking out like this she thought as she grabbed omething to eat along the way before he got there.

Duke drove to her house and saw her outside waiting for him. When he saw there waiting for him he said to himself "It Can't be" duke never had feelings for a girl, he is used to using them and throw them away but this one was different he knew when he saw her walking to his car. "This girl is different duke, I cant imagine seeing her with someone else" he said to himself. He waited for her to get in the car, he pressed the button and opened her car door.

Iris opened the door and climbed in, her hand bag by her feet. " DOnt say anything... " she said first "If you are trying to set me up, its not gonna happen. " she looked at him " This is only a drive and a talk. Thats it. Got it?" she then locked the door and put her feet up on the dash, closing her eyes. Head back against the car seat. Slow even breathing.

Duke drove off smiling at her, he drove to a hill which was looking over their town, there was a nice view. Once he parked he removed the safety belt and turned looking at her and said " Tell me about yourself, but please if you re gonna shout and talk to me like I m sort of a bad guy I ll take you home and it ll be like we never talked"

" Im sorry" she said with a sigh before lookat him " Names Iris. Im sure you already figured that out from the math teacher" she bit her lip trying to calm down. im in a car with a total stranger I dont know and im freaking out she thought " Well, lets see... i am nineteen and half. Turning twenty on Saturday. I study more than I should.. I also am the head chechleader of th school. As you already saw during practice"

" I must admit you have a talent at cheerleading, as you noticed I'm captian of the football team. You have your birthday on Saturday it s on Game day. This Game is a derby it s one of the hardest Games of the seasons, the other teams captian is an enemy of mine. His girl cheated on him with me and he hates and he has a reason to. Make sure you re better than their cheerleaders " duke said and smiled

" Im working my girls asse's every day. Trust me on that. Some even say to me they have a crush on you... of course I yell at em for letting their herarts desire go through... but Im not letting it destroy my championshiop. " You worked your boys too I heared " she chuckled takin gher feet off the dash and looked at him whoa she thought " What's this party any way? I'll have to ask my mother of course."

"After every game we do a party at justin's house to sort of celebrate, I mean yeah of course ask your mother. I dont care about girls. At the moment I only care about one girl" as he moved his face close to her looking her straight in her eyes. Duke was hoping she would kiss him, but he knew there was a chance she might make a step back

" Who would that be. " she asked " Better not be someone like.. me" she said turning her head " Look, Im not redady for another relationship. Ive been through so much shit I cant take another broken heart and abuse. " she wiped her eyes before any tears came down " But if its just a party.. I might not even need to ask mother.."

"yeah it's totally fine I understand, listen it s getting late I should take you back" Duke drove and took her home. He went straight home and laid on the bed and slept at once. The next morning he woke up and drove to school and parked in the parking looking everywhere to see iris of course not letting her notice he was looking for her.
