Kenya bounded out of the bushes. She tried to attack it, but she stepped in a pothole and fell head over heels. She finally stopped moving, and landed on her side. She was embarrassed, and leaped up to try to help, but her left back foot, the foot that had stepped into the pothole, collapsed on her and she couldn't walk. Kenya didn't want the pride to go hungry just because she had fallen and hoped no one stopped on her account.

Jasiri shook his fur and padded towards Indigo. He has heard that the last hunt wasn't as successful, and no prey was caught, and it was nearing evening. He glanced at the new lioness in their pride. He was pretty sure it was all her fault that the hunt was not successful. It is still a mystery to him why did Chaos accept her into the pride, especially with a male cub! How stupid.

'Indigo', he called out. Shivers went down his spine. He couldn't believe that she actually managed to become a dominant lioness. Although it was good, Chandra was quiet frail. This pride does need a powerful lioness. Oh how frightening her offspring could be! Brrrr!

'Will we be hunting?', he asked Indigo.

Ukuta skidded to a stop and stepped over Kenya in worry. She quickly glanced over at Zura and Naita. It seemed everything was going as planned.

'Siku, NOW!', she roared. Like lightning, Siku pounced out of the bushes and bit into the antelope's neck. Ukuta couldn't help but shiver a little at his wounded paw, but it was a miracle to her that he was still able to hunt.

She turned away from the whole hunting scene to Kenya.

'It's okay, don't bother standing up', she said and started to observe her. Kenya struggled to stand up.

'I said lie still', Ukuta snapped and continued on watching. It seemed that Kenya's back paw was in a bad form.

Zura snarled and clawed the antelope, helping Siku to make it fall. Soon enough, the antelope fell and was dead in a second after Siku broke its neck. Zura roared in happiness and danced around the antelope. Then she noticed Kenya on the floor.

'Oh no', she breathed and ran over to Kenya and Ukuta.

Jasiri backed away at the sleeping lioness and padded hastily away. He hopes feverishly he did not wake her up!

Kenya couldn't walk so she just waited until they finished the kill. She was the oldest lioness in the pride, and it was starting to become apparent. Her bones would ache in the morning, and she couldn't keep up with the younger lionesses. Now that she had done something to her paw, she wasn't sure if she would ever be able to hunt large prey. She knew that he paw wouldn't have healed well even if she was young. Now that she was older, she was certain that it wouldn't heal well.

Amara sighed as she kept in her den. She started to groom her stomach and thought to herself that she had to be almost a month along. She wondered how long she could keep up hiding it, and what would happen when the others found out. She stopped licking her stomach as she moved farther into the den.

Tara/ Chaos Pride

Tara tried wiggling away as Nagasi was closer to being done bathing her. She hated being groomed knowing she was going to get dusty again. She tried clawing at the dirt to pull away.

Chaos was patrolling the border. He hadn't had any trouble that day from Karaz pride, but since they had been trespassing earlier that week, he decided that he needed to recheck their border. He was walking along when he came upon some prey. It reeked of Karaz pride. He sniffed closer and smelled an unfamiliar smell. Either Karaz pride had let a new lion join, there was a new dominant lion, or a strange lion had killed this prey.

He was annoyed, and he wasn't sure what to do with the prey. Why would Karaz pride hunt on his territory and then leave it. He decided to return to his pride, and let them come and see this. He needed advice. He began to run back to where his pride was.
