The male nodded slowly but paused. "Live??" He repeated aloud in confusion. "I thought we were just staying the night..." He looked at the cave entrance, thinking of escape.

He began to smell two lions. (Pandora and Mansa) More specifically it was a lion and a lioness. He decided that they were probably nomads. He changed his direction to avoid them. He decided that he had better go far out of his way to avoid them, because they wouldn't want to settle anywhere that they would have to fight over their territory. Really Ajihad wasn't sure if it was safe to settle anywhere near Chaos Pride. He hoped that after Chaos Pride got used to AjihadÂ’s Pride, that they could stay friendly, but that almost never happened with prides, so he wasnÂ’t depending on it.

He began to walk on a large grassland expanse. It spread as far as he could see. An occasional scraggly tree would cast shade on the ground. He realized that he had forgotten to look for the most important resource¬:water. He began to look for a nice watering hole. Watering holes were great places to find prey.

After a good thirty minute walk he began to see many paw prints, that lead in one direction. It looked like a well-worn trail to a watering hole. He decided that he had better investigate. The trail became wider and wider, and more and more prints were self-evident. He began to pick up his speed. A slight incline began, and it slowed him down a bit. Once he reached the little rise, he was able to look down upon the watering hole.

It was very similar to the one on Chaos pride land. There was a bigger congregation of various animals there. They probably didnÂ’t have to deal with lions, so more were able to gather. If this could be the center of his pride, he thought, that would be great. Cautiously, he walked to the edge of the water. He let his paws cool off in the shallow end. He bent his head to take a few sips of water.

The cool water slid down his throat. He didnÂ’t realize how parched he had been, but he kept himself from gulping. Once his thirst was sated he looked up again. Most of the smaller animals had edged away from him to the other side of the watering hole. He wasnÂ’t sure if he should feel frustrated or pleased. These prey properly respected a predator.

He started walking to the other side of the watering hole. The grasslands continued on as far as he could see. He noticed the ground gently sloped away from the watering hole. After a while the ground began to start getting rocky. He hoped he would be able to find a cave. He gazed up at the sky, and realized that he would have to hurry or they would begin to look for him.

He came to an area that had lots of rocks and crevasses. He climbed on top, and was able to see very far away. He began to look for suitable caves. He found a smaller one that would be fine for a dominant pair. He continued to search. While he was walking, suddenly the ground fell out beneath him. He roared in panic, and began trying to climb up, but he continued to fall. He eventually gave and and fell to the bottom. Dirt continued to pour down on him, and he began to think he was going to die. Soon the dirt stopped falling, and he looked around at his surroundings.

He realized he was in a huge cave that two whole prides could fit inside. Most of the cave was rock, so it was sturdy. There was a pond of fresh water at one end. He could hear gurgling, so it was moving water. He thought it would be perfect, if he could only find an exit. He began sniffing, trying to find a fresh waft of air. He looked around for daylight that came into the cave. He finally found an exit. He had to walk around the edge of the pond. At the far end of the pond was a tunnel that led to the surface.

Once he was outside the cave he shook out his fur. He began to groom himself, but he began to panic. It was a lot later than he thought it was. He needed to get back now. He shook himself out again, and began running back to his prideÂ’s territory. At least now he had found a place for Amara and himself to run away to.
