Tara looked up at Yael, unable to finish her meerkat. "Um, I think so" she said with a sigh. "I found out where my mother went." She looked down at her paws, not sure if he really wanted to know or not. She lowered her head, feeling a little queasy.

Amara looked around the pride. "As long as there is nothing else, I should think we all need our rest. It's been a very long day. Take the rest of the day to relax" she said as she looked at them. She glanced at Aria who seemed to agree and saw Luna falling asleep next to her unfinished meerkat like she was trying to guard it for dear life.

Nyasi (NYASI not Yael!)

Nyasi raised his ears.

"That's fantastic! Where is she? Did you talk with her??", he asked in excitement, and was confused in why Tara looked so queasy.

Maybe they had an argument?, he thought with dread. He sat down, patiently waiting for answer.

Tara shook her head. "We couldn't exactly talk." She lowered her ears. "She was nothing but bones." She felt the tears coming again as she looked down, trying to hide her face from Nyasi, not wanting him to think she was weak. "I never knew why she left."

Time skip to next morning.

Rainy day. Clears up and becomes cloudy later.

Nyasi lowered his ears.

"Oh", was all he managed to say as he understood what Tara meant. He was dumbfounded, and even felt a bit sick. He imagined recognising his own mother out of a pile of bones, and gulped.

"I am sorry", he whispered and silently lied by her, not asking anymore questions.

Siku

Siku woke up and stretched his back. He looked down at Aria with a smile, then up into the sky. It was just finishing to rain. Soon, the real rains will start and they will be nonstop.

He shook his mane, and looked around at the rest of the pride. It was still amazing to him that just yesterday they have successfully combined prides, and now they are one family. Lions seem to be cooperating with each other already, and they have recruited a huntress. Up to this point, life seems good and promising.

Ajihad slowly opened his eyes. He was warm and comfortable, because he had his little family unit surrounding him. He yawned and stretched for a moment. He supposed he and Siku would organize the border patrol and Amara and Aria would organize the hunt. He got up and headed toward Siku. "Good morning Siku. Today is not a very good day for marking our new borders, because of the rain, but I thought it would be a good idea if we did today's border patrol." He could smell the rain in the air, and he wished they could all stay inside.

Shani had eaten what had been left over from yesterday. The antelope fawn she had brought down while out with Aslan had filled her empty stomach and she had slept like a newborn cub. She rolled over and smelled the rain in the air. She had an idea. Getting up, she padded over to Ajihad. She bowed her head in respect. "Ajihad, may I go outside the cave? Not far, just outside? "

Ajihad turned when he heard a lioness come up. He was a little surprised it was Shani. He looked her over, wondering if she was okay after yesterday. He raised a brow, "I suppose so. Why? How are you doing this morning?" he surveyed her. He wondered if her head had been hit harder than they had thought.

"I have always enjoyed playing in the rain. My mother thought I was crazy, she said lions weren't supposed to like getting wet. I want to take possibly the cubs and Aslan," Shani's tail twitched in anticipation.

Amara slowly stirred as she stretched out. She opened her eyes and saw Luna close to her and smiled. When she heard Shani ask about the Cubs she shook her head. "Not unless they want to, and Luna certainly isn't going. She could get sick." She slowly sat up and looked at Ajihad, wondering if he would agree.

Tara stirred slightly, whimpering a bit in her sleep. She twitched more than normal and it wasn't hard to tell the young lioness was having a bad dream.

Aria started to look around as she woke up. She spotted Yael and nodded to herself before she looked around the cave. She saw Midnight and Fae not too far, along with Reyla sleeping stretched out.

Amber and Echo slept close to Chaos as Echo slowly starting to stirr. The young male looked up and spotted Aslan still asleep near the cave entrance.
