Khaleesi's eyes were smoldering with anger, "If you were watching the cubs, how did they die," she accused. "I've been watching the cubs alone, and apparently they're disobdient, so I can't keep track of 5 cubs at a time. You blundering idiots let my sister get killed!" She left camp. |

Naita ignored Khaleesi. Sure, some of the things sheÂ’d said werenÂ’t necessary. But right now, Naita didnÂ’t care. She could make apologies to those who needed one later. For now, all she could think about was Amra and Jaytone. Supposedly, Kenya had just died. Naita almost wanted to throw insults at both the former dominant Khaleesi, and at Karaz. They both let cubs wander around when all Naita had wanted was to go on one hunt. Well, next time she would know. She tensed her shoulder blades, testing which muscles ached. It felt weird to have no cubs around. Jackal was with Kesi, both of them almost of age to be independent and start thinking straight. Well, Naita didnÂ’t know about Kesi, but from the way she acted, and her size... sheÂ’d guess around older than Jackal, older than the other cubs... |

Siku/ Karaz Pride, lion 2
Siku breathed over Kenya, pain growing in his chest. How, how did she get so brutally murdered? And right in their den. Under everybody's nose. Kenya did not deserve to die. She has hunted and protected this pride for 10 years and now?... He heard the argument between Karaz and Khaleesi. Khaleesi announced that she will be going. Naita seemed to join Karaz's side. He limped towards them painfully. 'Enough', he growled. He avoided looking at Karaz, but gave a brief nod to show him he is still the leader. 'Are we all going to argue while the three bodies of three proud lions are rotting and are being eaten away by scavengers?', spat Siku and stood over Jaytone's body. 'Each of them deserve a burial', he said quietly, 'None of them shall be eaten. Not a single hair'. He carefully picked up Jaytone's bloody body away from crying Kesi. He limped back to their den, not giving a care about all this argument. Finally as he reached a small are not far from the den and by a tall tree, he started to attempt to dig, but winced while he did that. He gave the lions a glare. 'Lending a paw won't be bad', he hinted coldly.

(before Siku interfering) Zura/Karaz Pride, lioness 5
Zura saw that Khaleesi and Karaz were having an argument. Naita joined thea rguing dominants. 'Ukuta, what is happening?', whispered Zura nervously. 'Let's go and find out', suggested Ukuta and was about to run off. Then a loud roar sounded from where Kenya usually slept. 'That was Siku!', gasped Zura and ran towards the roar. To her horror, there lay the dead body of Kenya. 'No', whispered Ukuta, 'This can't be happening'. With that, the lioness ran off to the arguing lions. Zura stood stock still. She felt her head going light. She never minded blood, but the blood from a dead lion... Zura shook her brown head and ran after Ukuta, feeling tears running down her cheeks. During the argument, as Naita chose to be with Karaz and argued against Khaleesi, Ukuta nodded. 'I agree with Naita, Khaleesi', she said coldly and sat on the other side of Karaz, 'Where were YOU when we needed you? You were supposed to look after the cubs. You said it yourself, that Naita could go and hunt while you are looking after the cubs. But you didn't manage to do that, you didn't even manage to protect Kenya for sky's sake!' Zura pressed her ears against her head in a sad manner. She still remembered the blood oozing from Kenya.
'I am with Khaleesi', she said quietly. She stood beside Khaleesi, pressing against her to show her support. Ukuta's mouth dropped open. 'What?' 'You heard me. I am with Khaleesi'. Zura glared at Ukuta, Karaz and Naita angrily, with tears forming in her eyes. 'All of you have let 3 lions die', she growled angrily. She never felt this angry before. 'All of you are blaming one lioness in 3 deaths, when really, Naita has came back from hunting, so Khaleesi was free from her duties. Those are Naita's cubs, not hers. Then when she was supposed to be looking after her sister, you Karaz, has called her. And that resulted in Kenya's death'. Zura took a brief breath. She felt her paws slightly shaking, but she continued to hold her head high. She was always the least dominant lioness, but now it seemed she had the most sense of all those idiots. 'I haven't heard any deaths from Chaos Pride', she hissed, 'I bet they are way more organised than we are. I bet they have a better leader'. With that sentence, she knew she hurt Karaz's pride and confidence, but he deserved it.
At that moment, Siku came and growled at them all.....

Pandora Pandora watched as all hell broke loose at Karaz's pride camp. Well, what did they expect? Running a pride was hard. Well, she didn't know that from personal experience, she only knew this from stalking the other prides. She flacked her tail and folded her paws on the boulder. She stuck her head up, intent on listening, when the female lioness ran away. Some lions can't handle pressure well, she guessed. |

Khaleesi/Karaz Pride
Khaleesi heard Zura's defense of her. Zura had done a better job than she had. If Khaleesi hadn't already left, she would have said thank you to Zura. Khaleesi had been banished and couldn't come back. She thought it was a little stupid, because she wouldn't have been able to defend against hyeenas and a rogue lion. She could have been killed by the lion too. It was Karaz' job to protect them. She roared over her shoulder, "Do you really think just a single lioness could have defeated a lion and a pack of hyeenas? I think not. I couldn't go for help, because I was the only one watching the cubs. I can't go after the cubs, because I was by myself, and I can't leave the other cubs. It was too much at one time. Even if I had been by my sister's side, I couldn't defeat a lion."

Zura/Karaz pride, lioness 5.
Zura ran after Khaleesi and padded beside her. 'You don't mind if I will leave the pride with you, do you? I don't want to stay there. It is too dangerous. Lions are getting killed right under everybody's nose, but what do they do? They blame a lioness'. Zura sighed, and gave a last look behind. She will miss Siku and Naita. They were great friends.

Ukuta followed Zura with her eyes coldly. Zura was so naive and stupid! What was she even thinking? She even dared to insult Karaz right in his face! She got a bit surprised when Siku growled at them all, and felt a bit of respect when he commanded that they should bury the dead lions. She followed him along other lions, and helped to dig the burial for Jaytone while Siku walked away to get Amra.

Khaleesi eyes were wide mournfully, "It was my fault that the cubs died. I didn't know what to do. No one was around, and they wandered off." She gave a slight smile, "You can leave the pride with me. We might actually be able to survive if we are together." The emotion displayed on her face changed rapidly, "I can't believe Karaz, letting predators so near the den," she hissed.
Khaleesi gave another slight smile at Zura, "Thanks for defending me." She sighed, "I'm relieved to be leaving. I was never a good dominant, because I didn't want to be. At the time no one else wanted to be dominant." She added in her head, they probably didn't want to be mates with Karaz. "Karaz and I never clicked," she admitted. She didn't tell Zura that she hadn't had cubs yet. |

“I do take partial blame on myself but Khaleesi has been missing for days! She hasn’t done any of her duties!” He snarled and mumbled a curse.
The male watched as Zura left, his eyes were sad and seemingly asked her to remain with him. He gave a gentle sigh and spoke in a small voice. “Zura, you are always welcome back here...” he whispered and watched as she ran off.
