I carefully walked up and made sure I was still in his view, he was struggling with the back of his neck. I carefully started licking his back wounds,

"I'm not exactly used to this much interaction with other raptors, this is the most interaction I've ever had since I was young. Unlike you males they try to keep us females separated so we don't create a family bond. Which you probably know what that means but basically it's like an all female pack, and if the females don't like the leading male they would kill him.

she continued to lick the wounds that were harder for him to reach, it was a sign of affection, trust, and loyalty showing that she accepted him.

"No, I don't even think they knew I was here, and sure I would love too" I said as I sat down next to him and my tail accidentally hit his . I curled it up next to my side.

she stared up at the stars and watched as bats flew above their heads, she relaxed a bit more so she was no longer in a position she could easily get up in. It also meant her weight was more off center so she'd leaned into Alex.

I was comforted by his presence, it was like the kind dominant alpha sort of presence but more soothing. I laid my head down straight I front of me, and before I knew it I was out like a light.

As she slept she once again dreamt of having hatchlings of her own, she only dreamt of this when she felt safe. In her sleep she made A few quiet chirps that a mother would make to her chicks.

I woke up a smudge to Alex speaking, I heard him say the words

"I hope to have hatchlings with her," I didn't think much as I quickly drifted back to sleep. About an hour later I woke up with a long yawn, I remember what he had said was I was half asleep and it clicked. I turned away blushing and got up, to stretch making the blood flow all over my body hoping that it would force the blood to not get so caught up in my head. One leg at a time I stretched then my arms and hand, the tail is a little harder to stretch.

As she stretched her unscarred black scales looked like a galaxy, when she shook a few loose ounces came off.

Alex

He looked at her back and got up. He yawned and took a drink from the pond. He shook his body and some scales fell off and on the light his many scars could be seen. Most were from fights others were from animals. He stretched his body and cleared his head. He went alert and said "I'm gonna look around to see if any creature is around." He ran off.

I decided I would soak in one of the dealer pools of water, it would help with shedding. I saw some of the humans come walking through the enclosure not long after I had laid down. They must not have seen me until I raised my head because they all jumped. One of them said

"Wait if she is here, where is Alex?"

"Most likely patrolling or checking something out,"

"yeah but their bond seemed so strong,"

"it is, got to also take into count that adult humans also separate from their spouses sometimes to do stuff."

"right I forgot to take that into account,"

I just stayed put and they slowly walked over, it seemed like they had a young boy with them. I realized the head scientist was among the scientists that entered,

"Dad you told me I couldn't get close to the dinosaurs!" The young male human said

"your right, but this female is an exception if you ever end up in having to hide in an enclosure try to find the one with her in it." The head scientist seemed to be the father

"But why dad?" The young boy was asking a lot of questions

"She has high maternal instincts, meaning she acts like a mother and if you're ever in danger she will protect you," The scientist said approaching me and walking into the water to greet me, he scratched under my chin and I hummed. The boy seemed terrified

"go on she won't hurt you," another male scientist said at the edge of the water. The boy slowly made his way in, he barely reached out and poked me. I was patient, it took him a moment to recollect and actually touch me with his full hand.

"why are her scales so hot dad?"

"The color black attracts heat, and that's why I tell you to never wear black on a hot day."

she laid still and the boy just leaned on her side trying to collect a lot of warmth off her scales.
