Sandstorm kept clawing and soon he felt the dog get off of him. He lifted his head and saw Night Hawk circling him. He let out a growl and showed his fangs, warning the dog. He was about to get up when Night Hawk was pushed by one of his own pack. Sandstorm watched as the dogs almost fought each other.

Sandstorm was to focused on the argument between Night Hawk and Amber Lily that he didn't notice Shadow Flame and Delta until Delta thumped to the ground beside him. He looked at her and wispered to her, "Are you okay?"

"I'm as fine as I can be." She wispered back. Soon though both their attention were drawn again to the dogs.

"Enough! They've been beaten. No animal should die in battle." One of the dogs said.

"Who says we've been beaten?" Sandstorm growled under his breath. Delta seemed to agree with him by snorting. They kept watching the dogs argue with each other until Shadow Flame and the rest of the dogs left. It was just them and the other dog, Lily.

"How injured are you? I need to move you to a better location where the scouts won't attack you on sight." She said.

"We're not hurt at all." Delta said sarcastily, looking pointedly at Sandstorm's bleeding neck and her destroyed leg. "And how do we know that you won't hurt us like the rest of the dogs? How do we know you won't just kill us?"

"First off, I'm a healer. I can only fight to defend. Secondly, if I wanted you dead, wouldn't I have just let my alpha kill you?" The dog said. Now Sandstorm was getting mad, just from being around another dog, helping or hurting.

"You wanted to kill us yourself, that's why." he growled. "We're fine, I'm going." Sanstorm tried to stand up and made it to his feet, a little wobly but seeminly fine. When he moved to look at Delta the thin scab on his neck reopened and started bleeding again. The blood driped down his neck and chest, making a puddle on the ground. Without bothering with it he helped Delta to her feet. She couldn't touch the ground with the broken one but could put a little weight on the others.

"Goodbye now." Sandstorm said to the healer, but after one step Delta fell to the ground again. He snorted as he knew there would be an argument that they weren't fine. All healers were the same, they were all stuborn that their patients weren't fine and needed rest.

Delta fell to the ground, hitting her leg and letting out a yelp. Sandstorm was helping her up when the healer's voice cut in.

"You will never make it back to your camp like that. If you won't let me help your wounds, at least let me help you get back to your camp." She said. Delta saw Sandstorm's face and knew he wasn't going to accept the offer. Delta wisipered in his ear.

"Sandstorm, please. She's right, we won't be able to make it back to camp, especially if there are scouts around, watching for us. We need her help." Sandstorm paused and though for a moment, after a pause he spoke.

"Fine." Was all he said to her.

"Fine dog, you can help us get to our pack, but if you even try to hurt us..." he left the threat open, hoping the dog would get what he was meaning. If anyone hurt Delta, they would pay for it.

"Unlike some, I don't attack any animal that is injured and in need of help." Amber Lily said. Sandstorm just lay down beside Delta, ready to help her up when Amber Lily was. When they were up Sandstorm started walking, going slowly to help Delta. He felt the dog match his pace and looked at Delta to see if she was okay.

"Make sure you tell me which direction your going to turn in. I won't be able to know unless you do and it will go much faster that way."

Sandstorm stopped suddenly, making the others go forward and Delta getting pulled. She yelped but Sandstorm didn't notice.

"Wait, what?" he asked Amber lily, then he noticed that her eyes couldn't see him, she was blind.

"You're blind? How will you help us now? A blind dog can't get us there!" He said, now doubting the help he had been offered.

"Why thank you for reminding me that I'm blind. As if I don't get that enough." Amber Lily said. Delta could tell that Sandstorm immediately felt ashamed for what he said.

"We follow this trail down to a Y. You need to tell me when we get there. When we do, we take the left strand to the stream. Once there, we follow the stream downriver until we get to a log crossing. No, we do not go over the log, but instead turn and head the opposite way. Over the rise is your pack's camp. Understood?" Delta nodded her head but remembering that the dog was blind answered.

"Yes, I understand." She said. She was surprised that the dog knew all about their territory.

"And your lucky that its me leading you. Most of the pack doesn't know the forest like I do. I have to wander everyday in order to figure out my surroundings while you all that can see can just look around and find your way." Delta's thoughts were answered by Lily.

"Okay, lets go now." she said and took a step, leaning on Sandstorm for support as they started off.
