Plot
Chrysanthos is a high ranked elf among the South Fork Conservatory where the Elves are trained in magic and battle. He is well respected and well-liked by many of those who attend the school.
Ruina is a powerful wizard in the Storm Coast Academy, she is well known. However, not quite respected and liked. Having her fair balance of enemies and friends. The only thing is that Ruina has yet to unlock her full potential, so she is not as powerful as she should be. Falling behind in everything that involves magic, which disappoints her teachers and makes her the target of many of the bullies.
Luckily for Ruina, South Fork Conservatory and Storm Coast Academy decide to hold a tournament between them. There are many events that will be held to see who will come out victorious. Such as swordplay, or magic, or even jousting.
Chrysanthos and Ruina encounter each other on the first day of the training period before the tournament. They meet and a spark ignites between them, literally. Ruina is finally able to use her magic, instead of the basic and weak magic she'd barely been getting by with.
The two find themselves getting closer during the training period, and as the tournament begins. Though they never actually go face to face in any of the rounds. Simply cheering each other on from the sidelines.
However, their abilities push them through every round of the tournament. And as they enter the arena for the final round, they find each other face to face. They loathe to fight each other but are relieved that they do not have to seriously harm of kill each other. As they fight, their magic clashes, causing magically reactions no one has ever seen. It has everyone on the edge of their seat, and teachers and headmasters worried.
When the two launch a powerful spell at each other, the magic collide and instead of fighting and/or disappearing. The magic begins to expand, mixing and swirling in the middle of the arena, opening a portal. Through the portal comes dangerous and powerful creatures known only to their worlds as myths. Until now. Everyone is on the move. Some are trying to defeat the creatures, others are trying to close the portal, and many are trying to escape.
When the attack on the tournament is over and the creatures have begun a new attack on the rest of the realm. The Council of the Realm approach Chrysanthos and Ruina, amending fiercely that they must find a way to return the creatures to where they belong before their Realm is destroyed and many are killed.
Can they do so? Without getting distracted? By each other?

Major Kingdoms
Truhan
Truhan's home is on the coast. They have lots of beaches, with some normal grass and a long stretch of forest along one side of the border running along the right edge of the continent. While a massive long stretch of mountains run along the edge of the left side of the continent, running along the border in both Truhan and Ritha. The people of Truhan speaks Klamgesh and the Common Language, Zednic. They trade fish and sea based items such as sea artifacts and special fish recipes.
Yudia
Yudia is a tundra kingdom, and a decently large sized kingdom. It is mainly flat, with some hills and a few bunches of forests. While the water sources are mostly frozen over. Yudia's mainly known for their animals and resources that come from Yudia's animals. They believe in Qokamar and they speak Tunnocabi and Zednic.
Iprihan
This kingdom is smaller then the other kingdoms, however Iprihan has the biggest land, yet much of it is covered by the Maratane Plains. Iprihan is grasslands, but unlike Maratane Plains, it has many hills and some small mountains that help fill in the space. Iprihan is known mainly for their agriculture exports and they speak Lerdosa and Zednic.
Krolon
This kingdom is in a land of taiga, which is mostly snow trees and shrubs. It is a medium sized kingdom. They are known for their resources and art. They speak Nikmuliya and Zednic.
Ritha
Ritha's lands lay within forests, with many sizes of trees. Though the land is mainly flat, with only rivers and streams moving through the territory, providing plenty of water. They speak Ayietese as well as the Common Language, Zednic. It is one of the oldest kingdoms of Ioana, and are known for their wood-based materials that they harvest from their trees. As well as honey, maple, apples, etc that come from the tree.

The Aegis Spine-Large, snow-topped mountains known for the Aegis Trek (a long, almost perilous way to quickly get across the land). Easily identifiable from miles away due to its sheer size. The Aegis Spine is named after the God of Courage, who challenged the great serpent of Earth. It is said the mountains are pieces of his spin, and that the mountains are his final resting place.

Appearance
Ruina stands at a good 5'8. She is lean and muscular. However it is clear that she is still a female, and her muscle is well defined only at certain times. Her muscles are well defined when her skin is bare. However when she has clothes on, the only muscle that is clear would be those of her arms. She is somewhat tan from spending her days outside and is no longer the milky white she as born as. Her face is rounded at the cheeks, however her jaw is somewhat sharp. Her cheeks are not that defined, however her face does not give off a baby-ish appearance at all.
Her hair is a platinum blonde that is long and wavy. At times she often puts it up in a ponytail or perhaps a bun. Yet, sometimes she will leave it down and on special occasions she will style it and make it look pretty. Her eyes are a striking grey that darken and grow cold when pissed off, or can lighten up when happy. As a warrior, she has many scars from battles and practices. She does not flaunt them, however she does not exactly hide them either. She does not have too big of scars anywhere as most of them are small and hard to see. Ruina also has a tattoo, on her left ribs. It is a phoenix with its wings outstretched along the ribs.
Despite Ruina's more manly appearance, it is not hard to tell that she is a female. Though she has that broadness and muscle of a man, she also has the lean, petite, and grace of a female. Her face is mainly smooth, however at certain times, lines will appear on her face and she will seem much older than she is. Already her aura gives off one of a determined and confident person. Her teeth are nearly perfectly straight, and are a pearly white. Despite her more broad build, she is surprisingly quick on her feet.
Unknown to Ruina, she has wings. Though she has yet to unlock the ability to summon them and use them, they are there. Hidden under her skin. Sometimes she finds her back uncomfortable, like something is shifting there, which are her wings. However, she has yet to figure out what it is. When she figures out how to work her wings, they'll be a beautiful light coral color, almost white, yet there is just enough color on it for it not to be white. She'll have a large wingspan of at least thirteen feet fully expanded. If allowed to touch the wings, one will find them smooth and soft.

Personality
Ruina is not one to play damsel in distress. She is a warrior through and through. Fierce and brave she will do just about anything and everything for those she loves and those she considers friends. She is also incredibly intelligent and can be just that hint of cunning. She does not think herself above anyone. Ruina is one to speak her mind. She doesn't often hold back whenever people ask her things. She often likes to say,"If you don't want to know the truth. Don't ask me." Although she may seem like the great student and princess, she is not always that amazing. Especially since she has been unable to unlock her full potential, making her a disappointment to the rest of the royal family.
Ruina loves pranks and she loves to tell jokes. She can be quick with her words which can often get her in trouble. Ruina is definitely not the golden child of the family, however her family does still love her. Despite her being a princess, when she fought alongside her soldiers before she went to school. She was a fair and kind leader. She drilled alongside her soldiers, and punished soldiers fairly and equally. She did her best to keep them in line, and worked hard to keep them motivated.
This princess is incredibly stubborn as well, if she sets her mind to something it is almost impossible to get her to change her mind. She can be incredibly harsh and sometimes will say things that she does not mean. Ruina, like most, has a mean side. She does not like it, and does her best to keep it away because when she gets mean she gets mean. She will throw just about any insult at you and many do their best to not cross her. She also enjoys nature and often likes to take walks or even do picnics and just listen to nature sing. She also is a decent fan of children and sometimes enjoys to play with them.

Mother. Alive. Ruina and Ashera's relationship is average. Ashera supports her daughter and Ruina does her best to please her mother.
King Aelrindel Agarvran
Father. Alive. Aelrindel and Ruina's relationship is steady. Aelrindel wishes his daughter would be less warrior like and more princess like. Ruina often rebels against her father's wishes. They use to be incredibly close but as Ruina grew up, they drifted apart, especially as Ruina started to become more of a warrior then a princess. It didn't help that Ruina was unable to unlock her full potential.

Eldest brother. Alive. Older twin to Ayduin. Revalor and Ruina are close. They respect each other and both strive for the same goal. The protection of their kingdom and their subjects.

Elder brother. Alive. Younger twin to Revalor. Ruina and Ayduin get along great. Both enjoy the same kind of things and both have the same quick tongue so they often mess around with each other and see who can spin the worst insult.
Tarron Norneiros
Cousin. Alive. Tarron and Ruina are decently close. Tarron's mother is Ruina's aunt, and both of them came around often when they were young. Tarron is only two years older than Ruina, so they are close in age, and they get along famously even if Tarron is not considered a royal family member.
Thaola Qinnala
Best friend. Alive. There is no one else that Ruina is closer to. Thaola and Ruina share everything, all their secrets, anything and everything. They know everything about each other and are practically attached by the hip. They are typically together. While Thaola may not be as quick-witted and smart as Ruina, there is no doubt that their personalities link up decently well.
Riden Sparrow
Fatherly figure. Alive. As Ruina despises Aelrindel, she took to Riden quickly when he became her teacher. Over the years that Riden trained Ruina in the art of fighting, all kinds, the two became close and developed a father-daughter bond. There's very little that they ever argue about, and are incredibly close.

One example could be a shield, however in Ruina's case, her shield would relate to her element, fire. However she cannot use any other elemental magic such as Water Bending, Earth Manipulation, Weather Manipulation, Wind Control. However, as the other magic users can, she can (To an extend and very weakly) use magics such as Animal Manipulation(Only fire-based animals or wolves), Sound Manipulation(Using fire and heat), Corporal Manipulation(Creates invisible boundaries using ancient magical words passed down throughout time since the beginning of time. Hard to use)

Appendage: Curvy- style pointed horns that show most of the time. They spiral once and stand up almost straight with bumps furnished just as natural keratin would grow. His hair parts smoothly around them. He is not afraid of having the horns represent who he is although they may spark some fear into the minds of those who do not know him.
Animal Companion:
Ferret~ Mustela Putoris Furo ~~~~NAME -Lofty- ~~~~~ Appearance: Pale skin, No more than 156 lbs, he has wavy tan yellow hair that wont ever stay put. His eyes are wide set and brown with green speckles that look like leaves. Hes got pale freckles along his cheekbones that show when he undergoes a lot of emotion, whether it be anger or love. His shoulders are broad, he is in shape and slightly on the muscular side. Around his neck he always wears a intricately beaded pendant in the shape of a dagger made by his mother in rememberance of her short lived life.
Personality: Although he may look on the smaller side due to elf heritage, Chrysanthos was born to a family with fighting history. The Wild Elves were very savage and were quick to violence if provoked. He knows how to keep composed in an important situation but is deadly when needed. Hoping to become an arcance wild elf, he began the path on sorcery and realized an affinity with plants. Accompanied with inherent fighting skills, Chrysanthos is cocky and spunky. The spunk gives off the feeling of security in chaos. He has no problem talking to women and has no problem laying them in bed. Unfortunately, he is overridden with malice at times and understands this in an effort that he is trying to change his behavior.

Background Story: Chrys used to be a twin. Not identical, but still, a twin. Since his father and mother both came from two different families who had two different styles of fighting knowledge, Chrys was trained severely on self defense. The training got even harder when Melody, his sister perished in an group abilitized armed robbery that happened when Melody was only 13 walking home from school. Chrys does not like to bring this up, it causes the need for too many questions. He himself has strived to become better by enrolling himself in South Fork Conservatory while bringing his energy and spite.

Chrysanthos: Turning the corridor in a bustling hallway, Chrys gripped his leather satchel closer to him. Ah middle of the 3rd year, everyone's almost burnt out and we arent even to training year yet. He transferred to Eureka acadamy just a few days ago, being it the middle of the 3rd year, lucky enough to begin so advanced with skill but no knowledge. He didn't know how studious and committed the Elves can be to worded knowledge. Information from scrolls was not something he was used to coming by. Arriving at the last session of the day, class 5, he went to his assigned circular handmade mat. Chrys shot a greeting glance at one of his mates with red hair that he would talk to during Feast. The classmates around him began their usual chatter before they were interrupted by the Inda/com. Mistress Umid Conroy's gentle voice proceded, ~~"As of today, the Association has announced that Eureka Acadamy will go head to head in a tournament with Storm Coast Acadamy in both the nature to compete and better our skills."~~ The Inda/com beeped out and the class was silently buzzing. Its almost like the thoughts could be heard racing through their minds. Figurehead Dereh Saylo stepped to the front of his Plant Structure Psychology class. "Ah we were preparing for this no?" his voice drawled out, "Now is the time we were preparing for, although a little early, you young elves are well prepared." Dereh finished with a flourish and dismissed the class early. Shuffling to his desk, he took a pained seat due to his bad left knee. Chrysanthos was the last one to leave the room, his steps slow and deliberate as his mind swirled with thoughts. Finally, he reached the door and turned to speak with his figurehead. "Head Dereh, are you informed on this matter at all? Do you have any more information you could share with me?" Dereh stayed behind his desk, taking his time to come up with a response. "The Association only knows their every calculated motive. Unid had mentioned to the Figureheads with speculation that we may have to rush the last few assignments. As you are a transfer, just keep in mind these next few days will be hard. Your arcane power is unlocked... I see it. It is just not in a vulnerable pplace to draw from." Dereh scooted out his desk chair and shoed away Chrys with a hand. - - - - - - - - - - Winding up at his student housing small clay cottage dorm, Chrys thought about the day he just had. He was glad he had chosen the student housing just in case an icy breeze blew by in this area. Laying down, thoughts of what was to come clouded his mind. Im struggling with becoming the best version of me I can. Dereh told me it was even all there?! How can it be there without me having access to it. Closing his eyes, he fell asleep after munching on a handful of ligonberries. |

Ruina ran her hand along the side of the beautiful chocolate brown pegasus beside her. With lighter specks of brown on his muzzle and darker specks of brown across his body, the stallion was a beautiful specimen. Not to mention the long and powerful wings that made the pegasus fly. He was Ruina's assigned steed while at the school. And since Ruina could not summon her magic like the others could, instead of learning new and difficult techniques, she was forced to join the pegasus lessons. Not that she minded to much, she loved the stallion who's name was Corporal.
Though Ruina adored Corporal and loved learning to become in sync with the powerful creature. She wished that she was able to join the others in her grade in the training rooms. The training rooms restricted to only those who were capable of proper magic. It was a dangerous place, and one could easily be injured. Not to mention, as the princess of Truhan, a lot had been expected from her. And yet, she had turned up empty, unable to summon even the simplest of magic. Now, halfway through her third year there, she was able to manage simple Mystic Arts. However, her Elemental magic was still locked away.
Her father had been incredibly disappointed in her, going as far as threatening to disown her. While her mother had managed to soothe her father, her mother had been slightly disappointed to. Though the Queen of Truhan was swift to reassure the disappointment was not in her daughter, though Ruina wasn't one hundred percent sure she believed her. Ruina's brothers were less then thrilled as well, wanting a new magic-sparring partner. Which had only made Ruina more pissed at herself. Thaola, her best friend, and Tarron, her cousin, had reassured her that it would happen eventually. That she would be able to use her power, she had shrugged them off.
"Attention all students!"
Ruina's eyes flash towards the large building that was the admin building for Storm Coast Academy. That was their headmaster, Ieva Milano, a pretty powerful wizard who was on the Realm's Council. "Apologizes to interrupt lessons and relaxation times, however, I would like to announce that we will be holding a tournament between us and Eureka Academy. More information is to come, as we will be meeting at one of the arenas assigned to us by the Realm Council." At once the riding grounds broke out into chatter, a tournament between schools. Especially between a wizard school and an elf school? That was exciting!
Ruina simply sighs as she runs another hand down the flank of Corporal. "You may now take to the skies class! Just remember to be back before dinner. Mr. Milano will be informing you of the rest of the information about the tournament." The students were quick to climb on their mounts and take to the sky. Ruina was slower then the rest, but she was taking her time. Patting Corporal affectionately once seated on his back. "Ready boy?" The stallion tosses his head and snorts and Ruina coaxes him. "Alright, let's go!" The stallion's wings expand slightly as he breaks into a run and then they were out and with a powerful flap. Corporal was off into the sky, soaring through the beautiful open air. |

Chrysanthos: Eyes opening admidst drowsiness, Chrys started the day quickly by hopping off of his custom made tree stump slumberer. Checking on his ferret friend, Lofty, he replenished the food and gathered his things to begin another day at school. Ridden with anticipation for what was due to come with yesterday's announcement, Chrys prayed to the multiple gods of his polytheistic religion for a blessing to keep his honor. He didn't want to go embarassing himself for lack of ability. If only there was something to put a nick in the way he was doing things to promote his arcane abilities. He closed the oppulent, heavy clay door that seemed to have tiny handiworks done over hours of laborious work and started in the short trek along the sturdy paths to school. - - - - - - - - - - - Eureka Acadamy was bustling when he arrived. Not just with students, but Figureheads were milling about, directing fellow classmates where to go. Mistress Unid was at the main hall greeting everyone with a warm smile. She wore her long black robes that seemed to flow and ebb with her every move. The tie around her neck was new, indicating a change. Her aura was highly noticable, being that she was exceedingly skilled in most all of the main divine energies. Chrys bowed his head with respect while walking by, and Unid placed a hand on his shoulder. "There is change to come, do not be distressed child." She dismissed him with this sentence provoking his inner thoughts. She can read me? Or do I just come off as super stressed out? Chrysanthos shook his head and rounded a corner to a quiet hallway. If the Figurehead could tell theres more than Im giving, I must try harder. Unid had to see what i was feeling. Papers on the wall were directing students to 3 sectors of the school to prepare for meeting Storm Coast. He found his last name and was to go to the south sector. Times were listed for when the school should arrive. He didnt see a specific listing for when Storm Coast would meet south sector. - - - - - - - - - - - - Sitting down on a woven mat, an old Figurehead with long brown greying hair gained the attention of all the students in south sector. "I'm sure you all are eager to meet the combatants and partners for today, yet they are not coming here. We need, in an orderly fashion, every body in this room to board a ricketwagon as we are training on their campus." Confused looks shot all around the room. Storm Coast?! In Truhan?? How could they allow us to be in the center of all that goes on? It was rare a ritzy school would welcome any other student on to campus much less have an entire training session. - - - - - - - - The ride on the ricketwagon was nothing special, taking tough turns and rough edges, finally the vehicle came to a stop. Stepping out of the back along with the other students who were pouring out, Chrys was taken aback. Everything was so large. His body felt so small in comparison to the many, many buildings and fields this campus had. It was all so green! A great difference to Eureka Acadamey due to location. Strolling up the stairs, Chrysanthos noticed the humans were watching from inside the building through the giant stained glass window panes. This must be the welcoming comittee damnit. |

It did not take long for the headmaster to explain exactly what was going on and soon, the day was over and Ruina returns to her rooms. Where her two wolves were quick to greet her. Though downcast, she greeted them as well. The headmaster had tried to make her head of the greeting committee, but Ruina had refused. Stating that while she was Princess, she was just a student at the Academy. That had made the headmaster mad, but there wasn't much he could do about it. And so, Ruina got off simply just having to be in the courtyard when the elves arrived. Which worked for her, she could stay in the background.
-The Next Morning-
Ruina moves through the halls, her two wolves at her side. Zephyr, a large powerfully built white male with special and strange markings, and strange white eyes. Though the white eyes fit the large male well. While the female, Kehlani, was built just as large and powerful as her mate. However, had brown fur with darker bits of brown along her back and head. While the tip of her paws were white, as well as her belly, the tip of her tail, a mark on her shoulder, and the inside of her ears. Kehlani had striking green eyes. Greatly contrasting the two mates.
The morning went smooth, classes were canceled to prepare for the arrival of Rithaian Elves. Students and teachers alike were bustling around, moving things. While two students break off from the crowd to join the Princess. "Hey, Rui." Ruina smiles,"Hey Tarron, Thaola." The female, blonde hair and green eyes, grins,"You excited?" The three fall into step as Ruina shrugs,"I guess. I mean, I just get to show that the Princess of Truhan is unable to use her magic. Embarrass my father some more." Tarron, the dark haired and tall brooding male, frowns,"Your not a disappointment." Ruina raises an eyebrow.
Tarron and Thaola exchange a glance, sighing, they had been in this argument with Ruina before. And they hardly ever won. "You have other skills, Rui. Your fighting ability alone makes up for the lack of magic. Not to mention your personality. Magic isn't everything." Ruina scoffs,"In my family? In this school? Magic is everything." Tarron and Thaola exchange another glance, it was hard to cheer Ruina up when she was in a mood like this. "Well, Tarron and I are part of the welcome committee." Ruina manages a smile,"Nice. Milano tried to get me to be on it, but I turned it down. So, he's not very happy with me right now." Thaola laughs,"Why does it not surprise me that you turned it down?"
"Attention students, the Eureka wagons have arrived. Welcome committee, please report to the courtyard to greet them."
Ruina sighs,"I do have to at least be in the courtyard though." The three make their way to the courtyard, and Thaola and Tarron join the others mingling in the middle. It was called the courtyard because it was the center of campus. With the admin building right behind the courtyard, and it was the largest open area on campus. Ruina picks a spot on the edge, but somewhat nearby as her wolves settle down. Zephyr chooses to sit directly beside Ruina, his sharp eyes on the wagon. While Kehlani lays down at Ruina's feet.
Standing in front of the welcoming committee was Milano, the headmaster ready to greet the Rithians. Finally the wagon comes to a complete halt and the doors open. Elves came pouring out and as Ruina turns her head slightly. She could see many students watching from their various spots. The academy sat on the beach, on the further side of Truhan, so the castle of Truhan could still be seen. However, there was plenty of space between the two. There had been talk of putting the school in the grasslands of Truhan, however it had been decided to put it on the coast. After all, Truhan was known for their sea things. So why not teach their students some things about the sea and allow them direct access to the sea.
Milano greets,"Welcome to Storm Coast Academy! We are happy to have you here." He gestures to the welcome committee,"If you will stay with them, they will give you a tour and then show you to the rooms you will be staying in while here." Zephyr goes still, his ears pricked while Ruina reaches down, scratching him. Quietly murmuring,"It's okay, boy." |

Chrysanthos: Turning all around and taking in the scenery, Chrys focused his eyes on the welcoming committee. It was a fair group of humans, all clustered in the center of the campus just silently watching. There was an older human standing in front of the group who seemed to control all the commotion. He seemed knowledgeable, very finely- tuned with all his calculated movements. Chrysanthos' eyes wandered the group and he was surprised to see that there was a girl surrounded by two wolves. She was a blondie, lean and muscular, she seemed to be the only one in the group with a spark of severe determination. Not only were the wolves adding to the mystery, but she appeared to be listening keenly to what the headmaster was saying. "Welcome..." Milano waited for the elves to hone in on the speaker as they were all still astonished by the rythmic rise and fall of the turquoise waves. "Welcome to Storm Coast Acadamy. We all are here on the banks of Truhan to accompany you all inside as we will begin to prepare for the competition about to begin." He pursed his lips and with a wave of his hand scrolls fell from the air into each individual's, elf and human's hands. They were shaped with magic and bound with a red ribbon. Pulling on the soft ribbon, Chrys opened his up with mellow surprise the same time others did. A name was visible on top of the scroll accompanied by a magical arrow that seemed to move every so slightly as he was standing in his spot. The headmaster spoke again. "These are your assignments. I do not want to hear any complaining. You will train with each other to combat your peers." He stepped to the side and allowed for the confused train of elves and humans combined to begin their mingling. Chrys stood back, waiting for all the commotion to die down. He watched as groups paired up and the human directed the two inside the school. As if they couldn't have organized this better. What a way to introduce us! He advanced into the dwindling group following the erratic arrow to the best of his abilites. Thoughts swirling in his head, he was paying tons of attention to the scroll in order to find his pairing. |
