Leicester looked over what used to be a prominent and rather busy market square now set in ruins as burning Ruby flames greedily consumed the once filled with life and teeming with joy square. Sat atop his horse clad in a mix of midnight steel and crimson fabric the color of another's blood, his blank green gaze filled with the reflection of ashes trailed over to some of the buildings now empty and abandoned, some being alit with the beautiful embers of their own making, others set in a pile of rubble and stone, a mere pile of bricks of what they had used to be, and the very rare few that still stood though windows were smashed in and anything inside was long ruined beyond any kind of repair. The air was choking on the dark, billowing pillars of ashen smoke that rose from the crackling and angry hissing fire taking up most of the city and while it also provided the main source of noise since their storming into the city some wails and cries of the once happy and few remaining village people could be heard. He would be lying of he said he cared for such things. Leicester tilted his head in a somewhat bored fashion at the sight before him, while this could appear horrifying to the few or even majority of the people who normally lived a carefree life the male could say he was growing rather tired if anything of the sight before him. Always a town or village that was consumed in flames or the people held at their mercy as they pointed sharp silver weapons towards them. Always the same cries of terror, or the look of such burning hatred in their eyes before they met their own demise that used to make his stomach churn afterwards when he would look back but now only left an empty and gaping hole where he should be feeling something.

He gripped his silver forged Lance in his right black gloved hand, the edge dyed forever in some sort of pool of crimson from one of the many victims, the all too familiar feeling of the weapons weighted tip now like apart of him at this point and currently being held parallel to the stone floor beneath his steeds hooves while the other hand gripped the leather reigns somewhat close to where his stomach was, this hand cleaner but not totally clear of the bloodshed he had caused. The people behind him waited, silent, calculating, evaluating what they had just done and while many bore the same expressions as Leicester himself held there were few within their ranks that looked uncomfortable or couldn't stand to see the sight for too long. The newcomers of the group. Those who hadn't been desensitized to this kind of stuff yet, and while Leicester somewhat felt bad for them he knew fully well they would have to toughen the hell up if they were to make any of the vast kingdoms get their point anytime soon. The male gazed upon the scorched ground one last time with something of calculation or planning before finally swinging one leg over the other and dismounting the nearly completely chestnut horse of which he rode on, the creature giving a small flare of their nostrils as they struck the ground with one of their legs and shook their name of the soot and ashen sky around them. Leicester paid it no mind. A small clunk could be heard as his armor struck against one another briefly at his landing, and clicks followed suit each time his boot hit the ground as he progressively made his way towards one of the few survivors of the disaster he had struck up alongside his comrades

He stopped when just in front of the man, pathetic, wheezing, but glaring up at him definitely all the same and it was enough to make an amused chuff come from the blood bathed Knight's lips as he gazed upon him with nothing other than small amusement to the scene. Crouching, he still kept a grip on the hardwood handle that made up majority of his favored weapon though kept to putting his weight more near the toes of his foot rather than back towards the ankle and with the same unamused frown he bore that didn't match the interest in his eyes, he waited. The man before him, covered in ashen dust and some blood kept glaring defiantly towards him, his voice strong despite the raspy coughs that would part his lips sometimes and his body seemingly immobile or deaf to his command having given in to the ruin around him and pain of the crimson fire that filled his lungs with ash. "Do you take enjoyment in seeing such things?!" The man hissed lowly, voice nothing short of contorted rage and boiling anger as his expression also protrayed as much, maybe more as Leicester continued to stare without a word. "What will this get you?! Do their screams and pleads for mercy not matter for you?" This time, the male hummed softly to let him know he acknowledged what he had just said, closing his eyes as he mocked a thinking expression for a moment and placed his Lance down. "This is a message." Leicester replied simply, as if it were the most obvious and clear as day reason and he would understand just by hearing such words. "Albeit a blood bathed one, but I'll walk this path grandly." Disgust was the only thing given in return. "Their chorused cries are nothing more than some mere background noise. You can view us as such monsters if you'd like, but your gods have shunned you and corruption is everywhere. We simply purge it."

With that, he rose again, leaving the man there sputtering, coughing, choking on the ash as he picked up his silver Lance once more bathed in old blood and made haste to mount his horse once again. A signal was all it took for him, and with him taking charge followed the rest of the group similarly clad in midnight steel and crimson fabric following suit towards the outskirts of the village laid to waste. That was one target down, and a rather major one at that being one of the largest trade villages between the two kingdoms.

Hannah pulled her horse to a halt, staring out at the ghastly sight before her. Her hands curled into the leather reins as she glared. The entire village, destroyed. It was as if an army had stampeded through, breaking and killing every living thing in its way. A number of the buildings were still on fire, but the land was empty, the citizens of this village were long dead. She looked down at the ground around her, the slow but steady pace of the horse underneath her being the only movement in sight. The sound of the beasts’ hooves hitting the stoned pathways, stark against the silence. Her head spun as she heard a piece of burned wood falling to the ground, her eyes drifting up to where it had come from, the two-storey building barely standing. She turned back, continuing on through the barren streets, or eyes sweeping over the bodies as if they weren’t even there. Hannah had grown used to the sights of death, familiar, even comforted, by the sound of destruction; buildings crumbling, the screams echoing over stone, fires burning through the night. It almost calmed her, made her feel complete. She halted once more, presumably in the center of the village, turning her head to look around her. Crumbled pillars, buildings burned to the ground, the bloody prints of men and horses alike spreading every which way. Without uttering a single word since she’d arrived, she breathed a slight sigh, before turning the horse once more, headed in the opposite direction in which she’d arrived.

Continuing on, she watched as she exited the village, hoofprints became clearer on the dirt path, horses of which she assumed would be carrying the ones who’d gotten to the village before her. She’d been made aware of so-called “Travelling Knights” who’d been well, travelling through villages, towns, destroying them. Hannah frowned, knowing it could have only been hours before she’d arrived that they had been there. With her luck, depending on if they stopped as night fell, or if she didn’t, she might just come across them. If they knew their way around here, they’d have known to go around the small forest area, the trails leading through were highly treacherous. Winding and going around in circles, it would take one half the time to just simply go around the trees, instead of trying to find their way through. Putting them to the back of her mind, she continued on over the grassy bank, the sun a few hours away from sinking below the horizon. Night was good for Hannah, the dark emerald and black fabric she donned blendly in beautifully with the nature around her. The dark mahogany colour of her horse accompanying that. The horse being almost the only company she’d had for years. At one point in time, she had a partner, he’d traveled with her, helping her with her goal, until he had changed his mind about it, unwilling to commit. So she killed him.

He was a kind man. One she’d met on her travels, before the pathway of death had begun. He’d been a good friend to her, vowing to aid her until the end of time, and she to him. But after announcing her plans, telling him of her goals, he changed. He grew distant, didn’t speak to her as much until finally, after Hannah asked him to come with her, he voiced his disgust in her plans, her beliefs, in her. She hadn’t really felt much betrayal until then, her emotions overcoming her, lashing out at him. But by the time she’d calmed down once more, he was already dead, and she knew exactly what she’d done. She’d killed her only friend. But it wasn’t enough to change her mind, she knew what she had to do and this was proof of that. Bringing anybody close to her again would become an inevitable path until one of them was dead. Maybe it had been an overreaction, a tad dramatic, but in her eyes, it wasn’t worth the risk of being betrayed, and Hannah being the one dead instead. She sighed, pushing the memories down once more. Since that time a number of years ago, she had almost refused to think about it since. She needed to keep a clear head and focus if she was to complete her goal. Humans didn’t deserve to roam this earth, and she was going to put a stop to that. Very few would be lucky enough to survive, if only for her entertainment.

She travelled for most of the day, taking little stops to let her horse rest, eat, and find fresh water. The sun had finally hit the horizon, sending amber streaks through the sky, purple tones running towards the sinking sunlight. Hannah reached behind her quickly, grabbing the emerald green cloak that she had rolled up behind the saddle. Pulling the fabric over her shoulders, she latched it closed, letting the length of thick cotton encase most of her body, pulling the hood over her head. Hannah continued on for another thirty minutes or so, by then, the sun had sunk underneath the horizon, the moonlight reflecting off the wet grass being her only light source. With her hope of running into the bastards who’d taken that village from her, she didn’t risk lighting a torch. If she were to get the upper hand, she needed the cover of darkness. There was little chance of her surviving if she took them all on her own, but if she was lucky, maybe, there was a chance she could pick them off one by one. Freezing, she heard a sound behind her, she quickly motioned the horse to a stop, her hand sliding over to the small blade strapped to her thigh.

Leicester and the knights behind him kept quiet during the whole ride to their next target which was somewhat of a smaller town but major all the same, the only sound that broke the grim but determined silence that engulfed all of them while they rode the sound of the normal silence of hooves pounding against the ground that rung out like a light thud because of the collective thunder alongside the heaving breaths of their steeds as their nostrils flared. It, while it had not appeared so with the sky dark from the sickening, lurking pillars of smoke looking to infest and choke someone's lungs, had been around the morning when they had first arrived into the village and by the time they left, breaking through the thick barrier of ominous dark grey and Ruby, angry red, it had been when the sun seemed as if it was finally ready to descend from the sky and back into it's hiding place from which it disappeared to so that the glowing silver moon could take it's place, always changing but still giving it's silver kissed rays all the same upon the lands they rode across. Their band was somewhat small though still consisted enough people to get some damage done and their goal fulfilled, for sending their message to the kingdoms was their upmost priority above all. Three of them were newbies, barely having had a taste of what they could really do should they set their mind to it, having somehow found themself inside of this group that Leicester led. Loyal, dedicated, or just wanting something more the male trusted them enough not to backstab them, or suffer the fate much like the villages they had reigned down upon in terror. The other 5 were members for a long time and had slowly earned his slight respect or trust from him. They had done things they couldn't undo anymore, and in that reason they found themselves rising alongside the brown haired male engulfing countless villages and towns, maybe even kingdoms in the future in pained, anguished screams and greedy fire that made its role to bring devastation to everything that may stand before it's path to destruction. The last member of this band, was Leicester himself. Group leader, the one who planned everything, looked over the routes, the towns, the villages, and ensured that they got their job done

Lance of silver amongst the only one of its kind in the group as the others beared swords, axes, and crossbows of various kinds attuned to their own styles and specialties, Leicester gripped the light colored wooden handle that made up majority of it's body tighter in his gloved hand that helped to assists in multiple bloody battles and crimson bathed victories and raised the shiny metal forged point to the sky. The multiple pieces of colored fabrics, all pieces and strips of the towns flags that they have conquered and tied around the hardwood length of his lance, flapped wildly in the wind at the pace of the thunder they made below them as they continued on their way barely sparing a glance to any of their surroundings that seemed as nothing more than a blur to them as they focused onto the land in front of them painted shades of emeralds and deep greens to make up the grass and shrubbery and soft Grey's and near blacks for the mountains that stretched in the distance to their right along with the occasional rock or pebbles amongst the rich brown dirt and dots of various colors making up flowers that they trampled beneath hurried steps. What they had their sights set on though and determined gaxes fixated on was the forest coming up before them clad in greens and the sounds of lurking danger just waiting to sink it's teeth into unsuspecting strangers or foolish wanderers who though it nothing more than what it was, a forest. Leicester gripped his leather reigns right and tugged them close to tell his steed to halt to a trot, holding his free hand up shortly after to let his brigade know to do the same as narrowed green eyes gazed at the layered shadows masking the true dangers and perils within a deceivingly calm place. While he wasn't exactly native to these lands, he wasn't a fool either or else he would be sitting dead somewhere perished by one of his victims fighting spirit and last stand against them or leaning against the stone wall of a prison separating him from the cooling winds that howled in the outside world with a metal cuff to help adorn his already scarred and blemished skin of his arm. No noise followed after his simple signal as they all gazed at the forest for a moment, nobody speaking as he weighed the choices. On one hand, he could decide to take the risk, to try and brave such treacheries hidden beneath shadow and shrubbery and risk the lives of his accomplices. On another hand, he knew it would be smarter to instead go around such a thing, something so unpredictable and vast to scenarios that mostly went unsaid but many knew that they would most likely end up dead even before nightfall

Leicester was a smart leader. Or he liked to think so, with tactics always stored inside his brain for ready use in the smallest to more dire of scenarios life may throw at him and a knack for creating things on the spot. Naturally, he chose to go around. It wouldn't bode well for anyone at all to go through such a thing, and he didn't want to find out anytime soon of what laid inside of the lair of trees and brush. He kicked his chestnut steed into motion once again, and with a small toss of their head and flying flaxen mane they took off once again as of flying with a chorus of pounding hooves accompanying them from behind. Leicester led his knights well into the night, taking some breaks for food and once for sleep when one of the newbies looked like they were about to fall off of their horse if they were to ride for any longer. That might had been uneventful, and some stayed vigilant throughout taking shifts and the only sound of a campfire and the small chuff of a horse to accompany them throughout the night. It was as soon as midnight came around that they set forward once again, refreshed and committed to their goals no matter the cost and with little to no tolerance for any sort of treason or betrayal. Torches were lit to make sure they never ran into trouble headfirst and oblivious, but it seemed the night wanted to offer more than long travel to them as the closer they got the more apparent a silhouette in the distance getting rapidly closer became, coming more apparent as their source of burning Amber casted brilliant light. It was then that they had first seen her. Leicester had heard the rumors, the stories and posters plastered all throughout the various villages and market squares that drifted as if the wind about a women mounted apon her own horse who was able to lay devestation upon lands and civilization like the back of her hand, and if he was putting this shortly, he didn't appreciate this. He wanted control, the ability to change the course of the very history of the ancient kingdoms and make sights nothing more than a pile of rubble or burning remains of houses and study fortresses taken down by him and his accomplices. She would get in the way. She had, and she still was. Yet again, the brown haired male brought his horse and his whole group to a stop with his somewhat pale but rich all the same green colored eyes changing into that of a glare. Silver Lance now drawn close to his side and verticle so that it was poised to the sky above

"And what might I owe the pleasure?" Leicester asked, voice pleasant, mocking, but expression venomous and calculating, trying to find a motive but hard when she had the cover of midnight blanketing her.

Let me know if you want me to change anything in the third paragraph

(Tid bit of writers' block today, I apologise)

Hannah had noticed the group shortly after she paused, worried. They were a ways ahead of her, but the fact she’d more or less caught up to them showed her that at some point, they had stopped. Which heavily implied that at least one of them was less experienced than the others, causing them to need to take a break from the travel. This was something she could use, a vantage point above them, if she could find out who that was, she’d have a higher chance of being able to take him out stealthy, using that as a distraction to begin picking off the rest. Hannah knew it was a solid plan, the hardest part was definitely going to be figuring out the weakling without being slaughtered. From the damage of the village that she’d seen, she could tell there would be less than 10, hopefully. Factoring in the chances of the weak link, there were 8-9 who were more than capable of killing her if she wasn’t careful enough. But if everything went right, she just might have a chance to take them out, sending a message of her own to those who thought it’d be smart to barge in on her territory. The risk was well worth it, after all, a couple of over-confident, arrogant knights was nothing she couldn’t handle. It certainly wasn’t going to be the first time she’d have to kill people that were a threat to her cause, or the last time even.

Still shrouded with darkness, she had trailed behind them slowly, maintaining distance between them. Hannah didn’t want them noticing her until she had been able to at least observe them for a little while. She kept an eye on their formation, watching as most of them didn’t stay in much of a position the whole time, except for one. The one who had been at the front when she’d noticed them had been there the whole time, not once slipping behind, always remaining in front. She assumed that implied he would be in charge, their leader. He’d be the one she’d have to watch out for, he’d be the biggest problem that she would have. The need to stay in front, put his authority on display to his own men, it was just his arrogance showing through, his ego needing to be put first. If not only a problem, he was bound to be amusing at the very least. She had been watching them for a while, as it was well and truly midnight. By now, she had very little to be able to know from just watching them, and she’d need the height of darkness to have the most advantage. She’d need it to be night when she approached them, it was just easier, plus, the dramatics of it were quite entertaining. Checking the small daggers strapped to her legs, she quickly checked the long blade sheathed at her waist, the sword’s blade gleaming in the light, the sharpened edges reflecting the moonlight onto her face.

Hannah spurred the horse forward, letting the creature increase its speed gradually, until she could hear the hooves of the group's horses coming to a stop. She brought the steed around, letting her horse pull to a stop in front of the presumed ‘Leader”. The one who had spoken, who had the lance already raised towards her, almost at her. Being a lot closer to the group, she let her eyes graze over the men, her dark green gaze taking each one in counting 8 in total, committing them to memory. Hannah looked over to the back, where she assumed the weaker one, or ones, would be. It would have been plain stupid to put them in the front, right in view of her. It would only make it easier for her to distinguish them from the rest, easier to kill them. She turned back to the man in front of her, closest to her. Her horse huffed with impatience underneath her. She reached up, pulling the hood off her head as her head tilted, a small smile on her face. She laughed quietly, almost inaudible to the Knights. Hannah’s eyes finally dropped to the lance in his hand, frowning slightly. “That’s not a very polite way of greeting somebody, is it?” she asked, touching the edge of the blade slightly, moving it away from her. Her tone was cold, her voice quiet. “I noticed you guys went around the forest. Smart move. But you’re not from around here, or anywhere like here. Let me guess, some big tall Kingdom hell bent on destroying it’s rivals? Oh yeah, I saw that village back there, and I’m impressed. Must have been one hellish childhood to invoke that kind of hatred. But don’t get it mixed up, I’m impressed, not happy. You do not come into my path and destroy villages. It’s not polite”

Keeping her voice clear, she kept her eyes on the man in front of her, not once letting her composure fall. Hannah knew that if she let even one fault show, they’d use it and destroy her. She had to be careful. Clearing her throat, she smiled sweetly. “So, what can I do for you?”
