As the Dark Elf worked, she felt something. Something unnatural. A frown flickers across her face as her instinct tells her that Kaiden was in danger. Her instinct had never been wrong before, but from the fact Kaiden left without a goodbye, Ayesha felt as if well Kaiden didn't want her following him. She could use her magic, but was it worth it? Ayesha bites her lip out of worry, calling out. "I'm sorry guys, but I'm closing shop in five minutes! I don't feel so good and as you can see I'm the only one working." There were quiet grumbles, but no compliants and everyone seemed to move a bit quicker.
Ayesha moves to lock the door, so that no one else would come in, before flipping the sign over to say closed. Five minutes flew quickly, and the Dark Elf had gotten everyone checked out and out the door. Now with the shop's light shut off and door locked. She retreats to upstairs, summoning her pet almost the moment her foot touched the flooring of the second floor. "Irgruc!" Came the brisk summon. A few seconds ticked by and then out of the thin shadows appeared a hellhound. Ayesha turns to greet the hell hound,"Hey, boy." She had already made up her mind.
She was going to follow Kaiden. She didn't really have a reason to stay at the shop, after all, they had plently of money that they had been storing. And Ayesha couldn't work the shop alone, nor would she hire anyone else. So she decided she would set off to find Kaiden. But she would need Irgruc's help to track him. The hellhound follows his owner as she hurries into her bedroom. Pulling out old bags from when she had fled the Realm of the Dark Elves.
Swiftly stuffing things in bags. Keeping some money and weapons and other things in the saddle bags that would go on the horses. While packing more valuable stuff in the harness bags that would be fitted on Irgruc. Finally with everything packed, she puts the harness on Irgruc,"Start tracking please." She murmurs to him, before using her elf strength to haul everything else downstairs. Slipping out a side door that led into the stables. Setting the saddle bags down, she swiftly moves to tack the two horses.
No way would Ayesha being leaving Kaiden's horse behind, when she found him, he would probably need the horse. |

An unsettling feeling danced in his guts, and it was making him fearful. Goosebumps riddled his arms, hairs standing on end, and a chill crept down his spine. Something bad is going to happen, and his guts are trying to tell him that. But what's going to transpire? Is it going to happen to him or Ayesha? Could it be the demons or angels this time? So many questions, yet no answer available to answer them all. His head starts to hurt again, a grunt leaving his head as he hears a faint voice echoing in his mind.

"So, you keep trying to ignore us, huh?" It sounds like him, however, it wasn't as the voice was none other than his demon counterpart. "Shut it, Arroth." He grumbled miserably, not wanting to be bothered by other him-who seemed pretty pissed off at the moment. "No reason for insults, Kaiden. I'm sure that you haven't told her about us just yet," his tone was full of sass when replying to Kadien, "Did you say that you were born with your powers? Never did you mention me and Lionel, which we find highly offensive." Kaiden wasn't having it today as he doesn't want to deal with Arroth right now, and he crossed his arms tight around his body as his blood boils again. "Can you just leave me be, demon?" He was starting to grow annoyed, not only to Arroth but the pain he's also suffering from.

As Kaiden got a closer look at the village, his eyes widen as his jaw dropped slightly. Bodies lying everywhere-mostly men in armor, some homes were burnt to a crisp, and it was deathly quiet. "Demons. It was the work of them." Lionel commented with utter disgust, and Arroth just growls in hatred towards what Lionel said. At last, Kaiden's blood was no longer burning him, and he sighs in relief as the pain went away. "Wait, it wasn't the work of demons, but something else. I could sense survivors in one of the homes, best if we ask questions there." Kaiden grew annoyed again, and he snapped, "You two, be quiet." The two did, with the only noise that was made was Arroth's chuckle.

Kaiden continues onwards to the village and making his way over to the building filled with the remaining citizens. If this was the work of another human, then he personally swears to kill them himself. He needs to be cautious, as he doesn't have Ayesha to help him calm down once he uses his-no, he won't use his powers for this one, and he pushed such a silly thought to the side. He won't use his magic unless he has no other choice in the matter.

Once both horses were tacked, she pulls the saddle bags on. She made sure that the bags weren't to heavy, and evenly weighted. Then clipping a lead rope to Kaiden's horse, she makes sure she has everything. The Dark Elf hesitates, turning towards the shop. There were locks, but burgulars wuldn't stop at locks. And this was the first home she felt truly happy and safe. So finally the Dark Elf relented. She raises her hand, allowing Dark Magic to course through her and her human state flickers for a brief second to reveal her elf form. She held the magic for five seconds, then releases it. Feeling the darkness overcoming her, wanting to take her soul. Leaning against her horse, Ayesha closes her eyes.
Fighting the darkness, the Dark Elf sighs, as it fades. She calls for her hellhound,"Irgruc!" The male appears out the shadows,"Find anything boy?" Irgruc chuffs as he lifts his head, going into a rigid stance, showing he had found something. "Good boy." Ayesha murmurs, as she swings up on her stallion's back. Like her hellhound, her stallion was a pitch black colored. He had a pretty basic name. Midnight. "Follow Irgruc." She murmurs as she lightly taps her horse's side. The lead rope hooked to Kaiden's horse wrapped around the saddle horn. The two horses setting off after Irgruc.
Most didn't notice Irgruc, but those who did, just kind of ignored him. The Dark Elf had to urge the horses into a canter to keep up with Irgruc, the young hellhound intent on the scent that his owner had sent him to find. Ayesha could only hope that the trail didn't give out. Soon the two horses were galloping along, Irgruc to intent on his trail to slow down. Ayesha didn't mind though, she loved the wind and the horses hadn't been for a run in a while. |

Kaiden was now in the center of the village and glances around the area to examine it to figure out what happened here. Large claw marks, burnt houses, men in armor lying everywhere, and so he starts to walk around. His eyes observing the ground yet stops when he notices the paw prints of a lion and some brownish fur. He notices something else, wet on the ground in front of him, and he crouches to get a better look. "Venom of a snake," Lionel commented, Kaiden leans. a bit closer only for him to jerk back by an unseen force. "Don't be a fool to even go near it, dumb human." Arroth hissed in his ear, a frown falling upon the young man's face as he felt a little bit insulted by what Arroth said. "I'm guessing what attacked here was-" "A Chimera." Another voice interrupted his silence, his head started to hurt as he senses the presence of another human, and he slowly rises, his eyes fixated on the one who spoke.

It was a man, maybe in his 60s or more, as his hair was white as snow and his facial complexion was rather wrinkly, and so was his hands. Kaiden wasn't one to insult the elderly folks, so he gave a respective bow. "Kaiden Delgado, I was here looking for small jobs for me to do so I can earn a bit of coin." He has no smile on his face, although a respectful look was in his eyes as he gazed at the older man. At least he has some manners to the elders, unlike his sharp attitude with most people. That's why Ayesha works well with the customers and their needs while he hides in the storage room to check inventory and create shipping plans.

"If you think you can take on a Chimera, then go right ahead, youngster. I'm sure that it'll be back for the rest of us." The village elder gestures to the home behind that were left untouched by the beast. Kaiden can see the outline of the survivors hiding and watching the two very closely. "Alright. I'll do it, but in return, I'll need water, food, and shelter until the beast comes back," The elder narrows his eyes, slowly nodding his head in agreement. The elder leads Kaiden to the undestroyed home, as for Kaiden, his head was feeling worse and worse with each step he takes to the building.

Following the young woman was the same red-haired woman, her green eyes watching her closely, then towards the hellhound that was tracking Kaiden's scent. "Sway that beast off course." She ordered, the same man bowing and muttering a few words in a forgotten language. As ordered, the man shifted the scent to the mill and converted the scent into something different. "I've done as you asked. Now they'll lose the trail of Kaiden once they reach the mill." The woman smiles, clasping her hands together with a pleased look on her face. "I'll be able to get my baby brother back, oh how the Fading Universe will chant on my victory."

Their trip was swift and easy, Irgruc leading them to an old mill. That's where his progress halted, as he sniffed around. Circling the mill again and again. Ayesha slows her horse, before swinging off. Muttering a few words to him before dropping the reins. Midnight wouldn't go anywhere. So the Dark Elf hurries inside,"Kaiden?!" She calls out, half hopefully as she thrusts the door open. Forgetting about safety as she blindly blunders in. Her sharp gaze swinging around, only for her bright expression to face as she moves deeper inside.
Empty.
Sighing, the Dark Elf calls for Irgruc,"Come here boy!" The hellhound bounds over, skidding to a halt at the door that was to small. "Can you track anything off this scent?" She asks, but Irgruc couldn't. At Ayesha's order, the hellhound returns to his tracking, but all he did was circle the mill or signal in the direction that the four had come from. The trail was dead, meaning one of three things. One, Kaiden crossed into a different realm here. Two, someone messed with the trail. Or three, the rain was stronger over here and washed the scent away. The Dark Elf was furious,"How am I to find him now?" She mutters as she exits the mill headed back to the horses.
Magic
Something she had always hated, but did she have a choice? Ayesha swings back on Midnight,"We'll head to the nearest village, see if anyone has seen Kaiden. Then we'll work from there." She glances at Irgruc,"Do you want to travel with me? Or travel through the shadows?" In response the hellhound dives at the mill, at the last moment melting into the small thin shadows. With a sigh, the Dark Elf urges her steed forward. "May the fates be on our side." |

Kaiden was eating every bit of his bread savourly, as the village doesn't have anything else to feed since the creature destroyed their crops and devoured their livestock. The King did send a few men to deal with the creature, but now they're dead. Guess regular weapons won't work on this thing, and his only option is to use either of his two options. His main question is, what's effective on such a beast? Light or dark magic? In some cases, much older Chimeras have the ability to breathe fire, the snake's venom would be superior, and the goat has a great experience in using defense magic. His best option was Arroth, as he's more focused on offense than anything, and the scales would come in handy too, as it's hard to penetrate. From books he read, Chimera's skin is hard to stab with just regular weapons, however, magic weapons might do the trick. A plan formed in his mind, closing his eyes as he lets out a sigh in disbelief. "Guess it's time to use Arroth."

"Whos' Arroth?" Asked a curious boy with his big, brown eyes wide with bewilderment, and Kaiden raised a brow towards the nosey child. "My weapon. Nothing more, nothing less." Was the answer he given him, looking away to stare at half-eaten bread. "Are you going to finish that?" Again came a question from the boy, and Kaiden gave the bread to the boy who probably needed it more than him. "No." Another short response from Kaiden, standing up and left the building to stand outside as he felt something large approaching. "It's here," he looks over to his shoulder to stare at the elder, "Close the shutters and be quiet. The beast won't be focused on you if you do just that." Kaiden watched the elder did as he was told, a sigh leaving his lips as he braces himself for a battle.

He sees a massive shadow approaching from the woods, walking away from the building to not put everyone in danger, and he starts to stretch his body. "Arroth. You better not hold back on it." Kaiden says to the demon, who was laughing like a madman. "Oh, I won't," Kaiden's body begins to change to be taller and his skin turns into scales as he starts to shift, "It's been years since I last killed something with my bare hands." Before he gets to fully shift, the Chimera starts to run at him at a faster speed, with its claws outstretched and a vicious look was in the beast's eyes.

The creature lunged, quickly pinning him down, and was getting ready to bite him, yet Kaiden only snickers as his eyes changed into a crimson color. He reached his arm outward, the lion's head biting at his arm, but it wasn't causing him any harm. "Sorry, kitty cat." Arroth mocked the beast before punching the creature in the neck to push it off of him, the beast flying in the air and hitting a building, causing it to collapse on it. He quickly flips onto his feet and starts to chuckle, dusting himself off. The beast scrambles from the rumble, letting out an angry roar before charging again.

"Take out the goat head before it coats itself in defensive magic," Lionel advised, causing Arroth to scoff in annoyance. "Don't tell me what to do," he leaps in the air in the nick of time and lands on the creature's back with his arms wrapped around the goat's large head, "I was planning on killing it off first anyways, you blasted angel." Arroth starts to snap the creature's neck while the goat squirms and bleats under his grip. It was quite a struggle to do so as the Chimera started bouncing around to get him off. He was getting annoyed by the second as he kept wobbling, and out of frustration, he increases his grip until he heard the neck snap and the goat going quiet. Hearing the snake hissed behind him, he glanced over his shoulder to see the snake rushing forward to bite him.

Using his tail, stabbing the snake in the neck with the tip of his spear-like tail, slicing the snake's head off. The head falling onto the ground, scrambling around before lying still. "Be grateful that the snake didn't use the poisonous gas venom on us, or else we'll be dead by now." It was true, Arroth's more on offense side than defense, unlike Lionel, whose immune to venom and sleep spells. If Kaiden's in one form, he'll only receive the benefits from it and not the other one. Arroth hops off the Chimera, with the only living head behind the lion. The creature races away from a few feet, whipping around to face Arroth before letting out a bloodcurdling sonic roar. The demon quickly covers his ears, faltering a bit before the Chimera rushed at him again.

He jumps to the side to avoid the oncoming attack, quickly using his claws to slash the creature's throat. The Chimera stumbles, walking for a little bit before falling onto the ground dead, with a pool of blood seeping out of its neck wound. Arroth was gasping, the ringing in his ears kept on, and shifts back into Kaiden, who collapsed on the ground due to exhaustion. The villagers rushed to drag him inside, placing him down on a proper bed and letting him rest.

As Midnight plods on, Ayesha allowing the two horses to walk, the hair on the back of her neck suddenly rose. Her head whips around as she stiffens, reaching for her concealed sword which she had found with her now dead brother before she fled. But nothing was in sight, as far as the Dark Elf could see and sense she and the two horses were safe. Ayesha sighs as she plods on, maybe she should use her magic? But if she did, who was to say that by the time she found Kaiden that she wouldn't be exactly like the elders of the Dark Elf race. Cold, heartless, and very uncaring. That was one of the reasons, the Dark Elf had refused to use her magic.
Suddenly Irgruc came bounding towards them out of nowhere, from his rigid body, Ayesha could tell he found something. "What is it boy?" The hellhound skids to a halt and spins around, pointing his nose to the horizon. "What is it?" She murmurs as she urges the horses into a trot, Irgruc keeping pace. Soon they were racing across the land, and finally Ayesha saw what had gathered her hellhound's attention. They had found a village, and there were still plently of people walking around. "Good boy." She murmurs just as Irgruc disappears into the shadows again. Chuckling she slows Midnight down to a walk. As they draw closer and closer to the village.
"Hey there stranger."
Those three words cause Ayesha to whip her head around, to see who had said that. A middle aged man who looked a little sketchy, Ayesha tightens her grip on the reins,"How may I help you?" Came her smooth response, as she urges Midnight another step away. The man grins revealing crooked teeth,"Got anything valuable with you?" Her voice grows colder,"Maybe." In return the middle aged man shifts a bit to reveal his small knife,"I'd give it up then and without a fight." Amusement and a sick look flashes across his face.
"Well you could fight, I always like the feisty one's."
The Dark Elf's eyes flash black for just a split moment, as she hisses. "Scram, because trust me you don't want to mess with me." The man's green eyes flash with anger and annoyance, but also some amusement,"Oh yeah? And what are you going to do to me?" Ayesha sneers,"Touch me and you'll find out." The man was obviously not use to being rejected like so, and he lunges forward, his hand clamping down on Ayesha's leg. One moment he was sneering up at the Dark Elf, the next he was on the ground, finding himself looking up into the sharp fangs of a hellhound.

(His name is going to be Argos.) Kaiden was heavily asleep in the bed, tossing and turning as his body started to boil from the blood that his human body can't contain. He was drenched in sweat, his fingers twitching as his body was shaking. The burning on his forehead was slowly being relieved as a damp washcloth was pressed on his forehead, a sigh of relief leaving his lips. Sitting next to him was the Village Chief's daughter, a concerned look to her eyes as she stares at him with worry. "Is he running a fever?" She asked herself, bringing the cloth to his neck to wipe up the sweat. Steel colored eyes staring at his clothes which were torn a little when he shifted.

Argos begins to pace with anticipation, his head bopping as he sensed his owner nearby, and he starts pulling the lead. He was growing impatient, his green eyes staring at the rope that held his bridle before he starts to tear his bridle off his head. He was a blood bay, a single white stripe on his head, and he has a dark mane as well as tail. He never allows anyone to approach him, except for Kaiden and Ayesha, and he was known to bit people who approach him before. Once the stallion was free, he raced away from Ayesha, her hellhound, and the other horse, galloping to the village to see his master again.

Once there, he lets out a loud whiny, looking around the place for Kaiden, the young man starting to stir as he was getting ready to wake up. Inside the building where the other people were in, including Kaiden, the man slowly sits up in bed and swats the unfamiliar hand away from his face. "Don't touch me." He warned, standing up, and his knees begin to wobble. That didn't stop her, as she quickly pushes him back down onto the bed as he almost fell onto the wooden floor. "Rest. You did say that you need a proper place to spend the night." She urged, causing Kaiden to pull himself away from her, and frowns angrily. Curse him and his words, then lets out a sigh before pinching the bridge of his nose. "At least let me see my horse, Argos, he's waiting for me outside." She blinks a couple of times, then slowly nods her head, permitting him to go.

Kaiden stood up, leaving the room despite his tiredness as he was curious as to why his horse was here. As he stepped outside, a soft smile appears as he walks over to the mammal with his hand outstretched. Argos canters over to Kaiden, nuzzling his nose against the young man's hands. When he sees the tack, his smile went away. "Ayesha." He commented, a sigh leaving his lips as he was probably going to get scolded by her, and he starts to brace himself for her arrival.

The moment Argos began to fidget, Ayeha forgot about the man pinned on the ground. Argos was normally a very well behaved horse who didn't normally pull, unless he sensed Kaiden. "Alright here, you little bastard." She snaps, glaring down at the man Irgruc had pinned. "You'll do well to remember this, and learn from it." The man was nodding frantically, wishing that the hellhound would get away. Ayesha narrows her eyes, letting the man tremble in fear for a few more minutes before allowing him up. "Irgruc." The hellhound let's out a unwilling growl, however reluctantly climbs off his prisoner.
Ayesha couldn't help but chuckle, as she then unwraps the lead rope that was hooked to the halter that had once been secured to Argos. "Come here Irgruc." The hellhound trots over, both beast and Dark Elf ignoring the man as he scrambled to his feet and fled to the alley's. Ayesha holds the halter to Irgruc's nose,"Find him." Her eyes were once againt bright, if Argos ran off. That meant Kaiden was close. Irgruc lifts his head to the wind, and let's out a blood piercing howl. Then takes off, without a glance back. The Dark Elf quickly wounds the leadrope back around the saddle horn so it wouldn't be loose.
Then directs Midnight after, without Argos following. Midnight didn't have to lengthen or shorten his stride at all, and the pitch black stallion shot off. Kicking up dust as he moved, thankfully Irgruc kept his pace slow enough that Midnight could keep up with him. But the hellhound was on the hunt! And Ayesha wasn't going to stop him. Then suddenly Irgruc came to a complete halt, and Ayesha leans back gently tugging on the reins to slow Midnight down.
"What is it boy?" She murmurs, as Irgruc begins to growl hackles raised. Then out of the growing shadows appeared.....more hellhounds. And as Ayesha studied the hellhounds, she stiffens. Because riding the hellhounds were...."Dark Elves." Irgruc lets out a growl as he backs up closer to Ayesha to protect her. But Ayesha wasn't scared, she was furious. Every time she got close to Kaiden, or was on his trail. Something cut her off. What worried her, was did the elves see past her human form? The leader sneers,"We've been across the many realms, lost many of our soliders, and yet the King and Queen still sent us after you." The leader pauses, and a cold chill fills Ayesha.

Kaiden grew worried, as his friend should've been here by now, and he thins his lips. He hopes that nothing happens to Ayesha, he fixates his attention on the blood bay stallion. The horse was too focused on nuzzling the young man, who slowly strokes his mount's cheeks. Should he wait a few more minutes? No, his gut was churning again, and he climbs up the saddle, gently gripping the horse's mane. Ayesha wasn't the only one with an animal companion, he whistles sharply, and a white raven flies towards him. It perched on his shoulder, then lets out a squawk in greetings, and Kaiden looks ahead of them, a groan leaving his lips as the feeling got worse. "Find Ayesha, and we'll follow."

The bird takes off, the young man and horse in tow to find Ayesha. "Please. Don't be in trouble," practically begged to himself, and his whole body was exhausted from that last battle, "I don't have enough strength to deal with any fights." He murmured as he guides his horse to follow after the raven, Kaiden shaking his head to wake himself up, but his vision was a blurry mess. He closes his eyes, trying to gather his mind and set it to focus on Ayesha. She's in this mess because of him, and now he hates himself for it.

Soren, the white raven, slows down and dives into the trees. Kaiden groans in frustration as he can't ride his horse through it. He climbs off his horse and dashed into the woods to the location where he has last seen the bird. "Ayesha!" Every step grew clumsy as he pushed himself to keep going, has to keep going for her. He tripped on a log and quickly regains balance then continues. "Ayesha!" He called out again, desperation in his voice as his body was failing him by every second. Seeing the figure of Ayesha with her back facing him, he can't help but smile. "I finally found you. I was worried sick. Where's Midni-" As he stepped closer, Arroth hisses in utter distaste.

"That's not your girlfriend, Kaiden. That's your-" "Sister." The woman interrupted, her hair changed into a crimson color and her emerald eyes gleam with mischief. "Darling, Arroth. How dare you not return to your family?" She placed a hand on her chest, just above her heart, and feigned hurt. "You made your darling sister cry. I'll make sure that Valger will never hurt you again," she outstretches her arms, "Come back to the Fading Universe. Come back to your true family." Her tone, he doesn't like the sound of it. Her tone was more a demand than begging. Better obey, or else he'll get punished brutally kind of tone.

Before Kaiden can question her, a golden spear came from the sky, aiming directly at the woman who quickly dodged the attack with inhumane speed. "Angel!" Lionel says with utter disbelief, the sound of beating wings was heard above them. Kaiden looks up, staring at the man in golden armor with his white wings flapping rhythmically. This doesn't look good, and it probably won't start well either. His head starts to hurt as tons of pressure came back, he collapses on the ground, depleted of energy, and the will to fight. "Ayesha, I hope you're in less trouble than I am right now."
