It was unsurprising to see so many hungover students milling around campus. There had been plenty of familiar faces at the pub, and it would appear as if a lot of those same people didn't stop their partying simply because the pub had closed. She had made her way down the hall and across campus quickly, even though she had no reason to rush. As far as Wren was concerned, it was back to business as usual, at least when it came to her studies.

Her first class was astronomy as well, which was just fine. She enjoyed science classes. Wren entered the classroom and took a seat, watching tiredly as students began filtering in. Some were staring at her, seeming to remember the company she had been keeping the previous night. With as popular as Theo was, she had no doubt that the news would spread like a wildfire. Groaning softly, Wren rubbed her eyes before running a hand through her slightly damp hair. Paying attention was not going to be easy.

At some point before the class was to start, a blonde guy took his seat next to Wren, offering her a bright, warm smile. His name was Barrett, she recalled, though he hadn't really acknowledged her much before. "Morning Wren~ Long night?" He questioned kindly, his baby blue eyes roaming over her with an interest she didn't quite catch. "You could say that," she chuckled, offering back a small smile of her own. This seemed to encourage Barrett to keep talking to her, his chin propped into his hand as he leaned closer towards her. "Oh? You should come hang out with me and my friends sometime. I'd love to have you join us," he told her, and it was easy for others to see that he was flirting with her. Wren was oblivious, however, simply giggling quietly as she told him she wasn't sure about that.

Barrett seemed nice, though Wren didn't really know much about him. He was telling her about how the girls in his friend group would love to get to know her and how he thought she'd be fun to be around too. He was cracking plenty of jokes too, which was the source of most of her giggling. She genuinely thought he was being nice, so she was being friendly in return. She knew she likely wouldn't ever take the time to hang out with him or his friends, but she didn't want to be bluntly rude or snobbish.

Wren looked up when someone approached, and at first she smiled, eyes lighting up as she saw Theo. Only, he wasn't focused on her. He was locked on to Barrett, seeming upset. That only confused her, her brows furrowing deeply as she tried to figure out what was going on. Barrett simple smirked at Theo, his head tilting as he feigned innocence. "What's it look like I'm doing mate?" He tossed back, tone carefree. He knew exactly what he was doing, of course, and it wasn't just talking to Wren to be friendly. "Can't a guy just make friends with a sweet, pretty girl?" He added, sitting up straighter as his muscular arms crossed his chest.

Wren was still so confused that she hadn't focused on what Barrett had said. "Theo, what's going on?" She tried to ask as she stood from her seat, her bottom lip tucked between her teeth. She certainly wasn't giggling anymore.

Barrett scoffed, not backing down even as Theo came closer, his demeanor threatening. It would seem that the other male was looking for a fight, as if he was trying to prove something, but what? Wren was beginning to see, and everything was crystal when Theo spoke, angry at her. Wren flinched, a glimmer of hurt flashing across her face. If there was one thing that Theo knew about her, wouldn't it be that she wasn't easy? That entertaining men with romantic interest wasn't something she typically did? "I just thought he was being nice.." she muttered, shrinking back a little.

Barrett's grin only widened, rising to his full height, which was nearly the same as Theo's. "Don't tell me your jealous?" He laughed, not hesitating to invade Theo's space, returning the threat of a fight. "It's not like you'd ever be serious about her. Just wanted what you couldnt have, yeah? You'll be bored in no time now," he taunted, his words down right nasty. Wren could feel panic bubbling inside, as well as doubt. Apparently the fact that Theo had finally won her over made her more desirable, or at least, it made her look like she was an easy conquest now.

Scared of the fight she knew was about to occur, Wren stepped in, pressing her hands against Barrett's chest without a care that she'd be in the way if a punch was suddenly thrown. "Stop! Back up," she demanded, though the man was an unloveable wall in comparison, his gaze still holding Theo's with that cocky expression.

Wren didn't care anymore at the time if Theo was mad at her, she just knew she didn't want him fighting. It wasn't as if she knew what it was like to be flirted with by someone who wasn't him. Theo had always been brazen and bold in his advances, but Barrett's flirting had been veiled by funny jokes and friendly conversation. In hindsight, she did realize that it was rather odd that he had decided to talk to her all of a sudden, but Wren had been too nice to see it like that. But Theo was right. Barrett didn't have any chance with her. She wasn't interested in anything casual, and she cared more about devoting all of her focus on Theo.

Barrett was finally starting to look pissed, the smirk gone and replaced by a scowl as he glared at Theo. Wren's touch broke his concentration, his gaze dropping to her as she pushed him away, choosing to speak out. His smirk returned, hand wrapping around one of her thin wrists. "It's only a matter of time before he's done, sweetheart, and when he is, I'll ready to swoop in and take my turn," he cooed, starting to pull her hand to his lips. Wren jerked away though, ripping free of his grasp as she stumbled back a little. "Even if that does happen, I won't be sparing you even a single glance," she snapped, clearly not pleased either as she gave him a glare that would rival the ones she had given Theo before.

Wren knew where she stood in her feelings for Theo, but she had to admit, it bothered her that Theo didn't even try to defend himself against Barrett's claims that he would bore of her in time. It made her doubt how serious he was, even if he was acting so possessive over her. When he walked away without even saying a word to her, it just made her doubt even more, the fear that she was setting herself up for heart break creeping right on in. Hadn't she tried hard enough to prove that she wasn't into Barrett once it became apparent to her?

She watched him as he stormed out, stunned and hurt that he'd react like that instead of talking to her. There were all eyes on her and Barrett, who'd sat back down, still looking pleased with himself. "See what I mean, pretty?" He taunted, earning himself a dark look from Wren as she snatched up her bag, leaning just a little closer. "Fuck you," she spat before making the decision to walk out of the class as well, ignoring the sound of the teacher yelling after her before demanding to know what happened from the class.

She didn't know where Theo had went, so she just chose a direction and started searching. Her head hurt and she felt sick again, and she was beyond upset and stressed at that point. She never skipped out on class, but seeing Theo just leave like that drove her insane. She had to talk to him. She had to apologize and clear everything up. Wren searched all around campus, looking for that familiar head of curls. She was kicking herself for not having gotten his number yet, but she honestly wasn't even sure if he'd answer her if she called.
