Hondo smiled. This really was happening. His tail thumped the ground in anticipation and excitement. "I'll be back." He said, he gave Luna's ear an affectionate lick, and flew out the den opening in an instant. Hondo bounded out of their camp and past the stern eyes of Nicco without paying much attention. Soon he was back in his own camp. "Everyone please come to my den for a Pack Meeting." He announced. Once everyone came abd sat down he started. "Me and the Alpha of Rivercrest have decided it would be best to merge our two packs. This will maje it easier to defebd borders, hunt, train and raise pups." He started. "We will merge tomorrow. So prepare to move the pups and elders." He then went into his den to get some sleep. He couldnt wait for tomorrow to come. Then he could be with Luna forever.

Luna watched Hondo leave before she headed out of her den. She let out a howl to call for her pack. Her blue eyes watched as the pack gathered around, including Nicco, which told her he didnt listen at all. She held her head high before she spoke. "We will be merging packs here shortly with the Eastern Mountain Pack. This will allow us to have a larger territory, less rival packs, and a stronger pack all together. I know many of you will be hesitant, but this will help us. Especially since some pack traditions cannot be followed right now." She knew saying this, Nicco would know she wasnt picking him like her father wanted, and she saw the cold look she was getting. "If anyone has issues with this, you may discuss this with me" she told them before she dismissed the pack. Amaru walked up to Luna. "Merging packs huh? Seems like there is more behind the reasoning than what you mentioned" he said with a smile. Luna couldnt help but feel her cheeks grow warm. "There is more, but for now, thats all the pack needs to know" she replied and he nodded.

Hondo led his pack through the woods, towards Rivercrest territory. Fighter, his Beta, had an objection, but that was all. Fighter hadnt had a mate yet, and maybe this was his opportunity. They crossed a stream that marked a boundary, and into Rivercrest camp. He smiled as he entered, then turned to his pack. "This is our new camp, take the pups to the nursery and then go meet your new packmates." He said, then went to Luna's den to see her.

Luna saw Hondo and smiled. "Some of my pack arent happy, but Amaru understands why we are doing this" she said as she nuzzled him. "I am worried about Nicco. I dont want him to cause issues, but I dont think he will be quiet about this. I cant kick him out either without the right cause to." She looked worried as her smile faded off her face. She looked out of the entrance of her den and saw most of her pack seemed skeptical still of this, but none acting out.

"Yeah," he replied. "Fighter might arise as a problem. I think hes worried about losing his Beta position." He returned her nuzzle. "We need to think about that. I can make Fighter a Delta, and Amaru stay Beta. As long as Fighter stays above the rest of the pack. I just hope Nicco and Fighter dont cause problems." He said. He knew this would be a good idea. He just had to wait for everything to cool down. Tge news was sudden. "We can announce the ranks together if you'd like." He said smiling.

Luna gave a nod to Hondo's idea. "Amaru loves his potisiton, and hes a wonderful beta" she replied. "While he wouldnt argue where he was potisitoned, he would most likely just feel hurt otherwise" she told Hondo. "Perhaps we keep them both as Beta for now, and whoever finds their mate first keeps the position, and the other becomes a Delta? This way it doesnt look like we are favoring either of them" she offered. Her blue eyes looked out of the den once more as she heard Nicco growling at a pup. She was about to step in when Amaru bared his teeth at the other male. Nicco backed off for now and went to his own den.

"Yes I agree." He said. He watched the commotion happen outside. "Fighter wouldnt do that." He commented. "He would just watch." He was glad Amuru would do that, clearly Nicco listened to him. Suddenly Fighter appeared and went into Nicco's den. He ehard a mirmur of voices, knowing they were talking. Fighter, after a few moments, came out. But with a evil and mischevious smirk on his face.

Luna narrowed her eyes as she watched the two males. "I dont think I like the look on his face" she told Hondo. In fact, it rather made her nervous before she sighed. "Perhaps just making Amaru the beta will keep us safer. While Fighter might have been beta for you, if he would only watch while someone threatened a pup, I cant have that as beta here" she told Hondo. She was worried her pack would think she wasnt making the right choices.

"Okay." He replied. He didnt even second guess it. It would probably make Fighter act out though, but it would be safer. "We should nake the announcement now though. So everyone can settle in." He finished with a smile. He couldnt believe this had actually happened. He would have to go out later and collect supplies for his nest.
