Black Rose sat next to him and saw him jump and laughed. "No need to jump, nothing here will hurt you if you leave it alone." She said and stretched her front paws on the ground. She looked around at the scenery before looking back at him. "So.. mind telling me how you got to be an alpha? You seem so young."

"Well, I invited everyone to be in a sort of group, and they all wondered who the Alpha whould be. So I said that there would be no Alpha, that it was just a pack of sanctuary. But they objected and told me I should be Alpha, so I said I would, but I'd never be a true Alpha" Chase recalled.

Black Rose smiled. "I think you're a great alpha." She said and looked at him. "A bit young, but I've seen younger." She laughed a little. "Besides, from what I gathered, all you need to be to be a true alpha is a pack and a female alpha." She hummed. "I think that Pine lady likes you so maybe her?" She shrugged.

Chase smirked, "Oh, good god, no. I don't think I could live with her for more than a day. I know she likes me but, no, just no. I'd go mentaly ill" he chuckled. "I'll find someone at some point."

Black Rose laughed. "Yeah, I don't think I could either." She smiled. "So, then dear alpha, do you fancy anyone?" She asked with a smirk. She wanted to see if she could tease him.

"No..." Chase blushed slightly, "No, no I don't." He smirked, "I hope Pine doesn't think I like her, that would just be bad" he chuckled, chaging the subject quickly.

Black Rose sighed. "Well, if you tell her that you fancy someone then that should stop her. Knowing her I'd bet she would be over you in a day or two." She looked at him and wondered who he fancied but shook it off. That is a private thing only for him and the one he fancies to know.

Chase nodded, "I'll do that when we get back" he stood up again, "ready to head back? It's only about a half a mile from here.." he estimated honestly. He thought about what Rose had said about Pine, and if he wanted to hurt her feelings, but he knew being honest with her would do more good than lying.

Black Rose stood up and shook her fur. "Yup. Let's go." She grabbed his scruff and gently pulled him up and then let him go. That was her helping him up. She flicked her tail and waited for him to start moving before she followed him.

Chase padded off in the lead, then slowed down so he was at her side. "I'm glad you came, You may it way more enjoyable" he glanced over at her with a slight smile. He scrambled over a few rocks that were along the way.
