Sundew looked at the boar confused the other dragon, Frosty she thought she was called ate hers with out confusion. Sundew left theirs alone and instead tucked her nose under her tail, folded her wings around their self and went to sleep.

I woke up with a yawn, I had things to do today. I looked over at sundew and saw she was still asleep but didn't touch her food. New food was wheeled in but only for me, it was twice as much as I would normally eat. I ate all of it knowing I would have to regurgitate the extra half for the hatchlings later.

Sundew woke maybe ten minutes after Frosty. She raised her head and quietly shook her wings out. The odd events of yesterday cycled through her head. Her wing felt better today not as torn it felt almost.... Fuller.. As if some of it had healed over night.

I turned from my food to see Sundew was awake, "I have to take care of hatchlings now. Feel free to follow me or my main caretaker, just avoid traveling on your own for your own sake, please!" I said getting up and walking towards the door to head to the broodery

"Ok....?" Sundew said, why didn't the mothers take care of them? She stood up and walked out intending to look around. Why would she follow a human after all?

I headed to get assigned my new brood of eggs to watch over, the hatchlings I was watching over grew up to the point they are to be trained. This meant I no longer look after the group, hopefully, they would come to visit like the ones in the past. The older they get though the less they visit, only one from my first brood still visits me. By now they are a young juvenile and are to be assigned a job.

Sundew swiveled their head around. It was busy here, she stepped back into the den. After a few minutes the space was almost empty of dragons one humans. She walked out into the sunlight , the sun reflecting off her emerald scales almost making them look like gemstones. A few of the bandages has fallen off revealing a wing with long, narrow tears and thinner spots were the scratches has almost healed. What was this that the humans used? Most Dragons healed quickly but not that quick.

As I walked to the brood chamber I was greeted a few times by human servants. I walked into the warm room and workers noticed me, they brought out the usual list and started going over which ones they thought I could handle. They picked a larger clutch of eggs this time, then took it to my den. Females given larger clutches are required to raise them in their den so they are easier to manage. They left the cart and waited for me to arrange the eggs in my nest before taking the now-empty cart away. I positioned the eggs so they would be in a circle around where I sat, so I wouldn't crush them. I sat down and covered them with my wings to start incubating them. Dragon eggs turn to stone once laid, if not incubated, that way they last forever and won't break. Once they begin to incubate they turn back into the normal state of an egg and actually start to grow into baby dragons. If the incubating process is cut short, the eggs will die. I sat patiently, one of the issues of incubating and taking care of a large brood is isolation. In the brood chamber, females will sit next to each other and keep each other company and chat while they incubate. While I was alone, I was hoping Sundew would return again. I don't mind being a brood dragonet, just not having a partner to help through the process can take a toll when you don't have other females to chat with.

Sundew lightly leaped over a small boulder. She looked back at the human place. She walked away from it intending to explore. There was a forest near by... If you could call it a forest it was more of a small wood with about fifteen to twenty trees. Her talons itched to feel the grass again. Sundew shook her wings then continued into the trees. A few leaves had the a slight orange or red color, a sign that fall was just a bit around the corner. Sundew explored for about half an hour then slowly walked back the plenty of birds has come out by now so the air was filled with the birds morning song. When Sundew finally arrived back to Frosy's den she saw a clutch of eggs.

"Hello!" I greeted, finally happy someone that could understand me was there. I saw her look at the eggs, "These are not mine, since I'm a brood dragonet similar to the ones in clans I take care of eggs that are abandoned or the mother can't take care of them!" I said quickly trying my best to clear that up real quick.
