Ash wasnt expecting it. he felt her attach him and he fought her, snarling and trying to bite her " Alpha is watching you, pet" she chuckled

" MAyhem! Ash!" River howled in anger " Get to my den now!" he walked away from the food " Everyone else, eat now. I'll be back later."

He glared at the two " Get to the den now. "

Mayhem placed a paw on the wolves chest, growling. She had an advantage anyways, being quick and agile on her feet. When River spoke, the dog grumbles and swiftly paused the fight. "This isnt over." She mutters back at Ash as Mayhem stalked towards the den. She didnt seem phased one bit, her head held high, proud of her win in the scuffle.

Once River got in, he sat down looking at them " Ash, Mayhem. What did I just see when I came back? Who started it? One of you will have a severe punishment. I really hope it wasnt Mayhem He thought as he looked at her. " How about you tell me what happend, my dear" he said looking at Mayhem.

Ash chuckled shes gonna get it, I can feel it

Mayhem sat down. Her heart raced in fear at 'severe punishment', but she spoke anyways. "Ash here, started it! He was calling me names, and just plain out rude." She growled. "I can go into context."

Ash rolled his eyes at her. " So? She's new..Who cares"

" Ash, be quiet." River growled at Ash. He took a deep breath and eyed Mayhem " You can continue." he never let his eyes off her, even when Ash was making noises when she spoke.

Mayhem grumbled. "I, in self defense, attacked. I didnt harm anyone!" She finished. "I didnt even leave a bruise. As a former dog fighter, I know."

River broke his contact with the female and focused on the male wolf " Did she really attach you, Ash?'

" Yes sir.. but she didnt leave a mark, I swear." Ash said trying to help her out. " But she was the one who attacked." his ears were back and his tail straight.

" I see." River said standing up " Since you are new, Mayhem, you will not get to eat first, you will eat whatever is left of the food every meal." then he looked at Ash " As for you, Ash.. you are the one hunting for a week."

He walked past them " You may go, Ash. Go eat and I will stay here with Mayhem for a little longer. I want to talk to her privately"

" Understood, Alpha" Ash said bowing his head and walked out of the den to join the others in the feast.

Mayhem huffed, not feeling so happy anymore. She watched Ash leave and her gaze drifted back to River.

River turned around " Rule number four :no fighting with other members. And either call me Alpha or sir. But never by my name River. I hope you obide by these rules." He said gently, eyeing her posture and face. " Mayhem. I know I seem harsh, but I make the rules. You will know them in time. Not just from me, but from Aster, the elder you met when coming here. I wont punish you like this again, if you follow what I have told you."

He walked to her and nuzzled her gently " I will come back for you when the other have finished eating, in the mean time, rest"

He turned around and walked outside to join in the meal " Leave some for Mayhem" he ordered

Mayhem nods. After he had left, she laid down and laid her head on her paws, pondering. The canine whined and stared out the den entrance. Hopeful, she was hopeful she'd be able to fit in.
