Lily’s lips had tugged into an amused smile as she watched Finn fumble, that was until Alma spoke and it was her turn to turn a slightly pinker shade. Well, she hadn’t exactly thought of her comment like that but it did seem that was how she had meant it, considering her reaction. That was a thought for another day, currently they needed to kill a god. Easy. She had felt just as much surprise at Alma's comment as Finn but she didn’t interfere, this was Finn’s friend, practically family. At the look she gave Finn, Lily would have snickered if it wasn’t for the topic of conversation. “Wait, you’re younger than me?” She started to comment before she shook her head, pushing away the impulsive question as she stood to her feet, making a don’t worry gesture with her hands towards Finntello. Lily wanted to make sure Alma knew what she was signing up for, even she didn’t know herself what Veles looked like. Then she thought better of it considering a single look had silenced Finn. “Sleep would be wonderful.” Lily tried instead, wanting to smooth over the sudden spike in tension she could feel coming from Finn as she stood beside him. Her head tilted to one side a smidge. Callisto remained standing half in the kitchen, he had said his piece and as nice as Alma was, he didn’t know her that well. If she was willing to join them, then that meant Xevon had a better chance of escaping and that was all Callisto truly cared about. Obviously he didn’t want any of them to die, but he needed to help Xevon.

Finn bobbed his head lightly. It was only... well, he wasn't sure. He was coming up on twenty three in a month or so. But that was beside the point anyways. Finn let out a quiet noise and shook his head. "Alma, Madre, I don't... want to lose you," he whispered quietly as she stood up. "We'll talk more in the morning, Chico," she said softly in return. "Callisto, you sleep out here on the couch. It'll be comfortable enough. Lily, I have a guest bedroom back this way," she began to divide them up into separate rooms and beds. The guest bedroom was quaint and small but comfortable. It had a slightly cliche desert theme with a faux cactus on the windowsill. Finn shuffled off to the room right next to hers. He sank down on the bed, finding himself absolutely exhausted. This was ... a long day. It had been a very long day and he wasn't sure he was going to wake up the next day. Still, he sank down on the bed and sighed softly. Alma guided her to the bedroom and closed the curtains. "If you need anything, feel free to holler. I won't care at all. I'll get up for anything. A nightmare, a poor emotion, woman-issues, I don't care, just don't go through it alone, m'kay, hija?" She set her hands on Lily's shoulders, looking somewhat worried for the young woman. "Anything at all."

Lily almost mimicked the small sound that Finn had made as she registered the quiet fear in his voice, it was enough to make her crease her features. She wanted to say something, but it wasn’t exactly her place, instead she waited patiently. They could talk soon enough. Callisto gave a small nod towards Alma and made his way to the couch and sat down on it, once the others had settled he would just curl up on a cushion. More comfortable than trying to squeeze his human limbs onto the couch. Lily followed carefully down the hallway and slipped into the room assigned to her. Before she closed the door, she thanked Alma politely before watching Finntello’s wings vanish into the room beside hers. Softly, Lily closed the door until she heard the click and turned to the bed. Well, she wasn’t going to sleep in jeans. Shuffling them off, Lily did her best to not collapse onto the bed. The soft mattress almost immediately sent her to sleep. Turning onto her side, pulling the cover over herself lightly. Grateful that she could sleep without any horrible flashes of painful memories. She could hear the others in the house, moving and the shuffling of fabric but little else. She focused on the quiet sounds as sleep began to take her. Callisto had donned his tiny furry form and curled up at the end of the couch, his head squashed up against the arm of the seat. His tail flicked over his muzzle. Only at the break of dawn through the curtains would he stir, for the rest of the night he lay curled up in comfort as he slept for the first time in centuries.

The sunlight streaming in from the front window was almost inviting and pleasant. It was the kind of thing that felt and looked comfortable and pleasant to the eye. It woke Finn up rather early, not entirely used to the concept of night and day just yet. The last few... blurry days had been a rush of adrenaline and the likes and now that he had time to actually sleep for a whole night... well... his body was telling him about it. He dragged himself into the kitchen, the wings trailing on the floor behind him in a limp cape of feathers. His shoulders ached, his back was sore, his arms felt like jelly and he felt... exhausted. He managed to at least sink down on a chair with a faint groan, leaning against the back of it as he rubbed his face. Maybe... maybe they could rest a little longer... find some extra relics for the others to use. He didn't think he'd be able to do much good when he felt like this. He was so unbelievably sore. He didn't even know he could feel this sore, let alone ... where. It wasn't quite in his neck but it was across his shoulders, his back muscles were tight and it stretched around his ribs. That... this whole thing just felt like garbage. "Ugh--" he mumbled under his breath. It wasn't long before Alma made her way out into the kitchen and began making some semblance of breakfast. "You are up, you are alive," she commented loosely, a faint chuckle on her breath. "I do not want to be up," Finn complained. "But I couldn't sleep with the sun in my eyes."

Callisto had woken up at the first rays of sun that had peeked through the windows, stretching out his forelimbs with a tremble. Pink eyes blinking open bleary and peering around the trailer, almost forgetting where he was. That Xevon wasn’t with him. His ears perked up as he heard sounds from outside, he hopped from the couch to the windowsill and sat up. Watching as a bird fluttered around on the floor, trying to dig an insect up from the dirt. Only when Finn made his appearance did Callisto look over his shoulder towards him and then Alma. He remained where he was sat, but twisted to look into the room instead with his tail hanging down from the window sill. Lily took the longest to emerge, she found the softness of the bed all too comfortable after their ordeal. Curling up into the covers and making small sounds as she muttered to herself about how she had to get up. The sun grew a little stronger before she managed to convince herself to step out of the bed and tug on her jeans. She took another minute to straighten up the bed, tucking in the edges of the sheets that she had pulled up. Standing back, Lily assessed her work and when she was happy with how neat it looked she set about going to the kitchen. That same little feeling of fear that she’d walk in and no one would be there remained, less so than the day before but still in the back of her mind. Upon her arrival, Lily caught sight of all three individuals and felt relieved, weirdly even to see Callisto. It meant that she wasn’t losing her mind and they did in fact suffer through everything. The beginnings of whatever Alma was cooking made her mouth begin to water despite the sleep that still tugged at her mind. “Good morning.” She offered up as she picked her way towards the pair, clocking Finntello’s rather limp form and she cocked her head to the side. She placed her palm on his shoulder, making sure to avoid his wings as she was undecided if he actually liked that or not. “Are you alright? You don’t look so crash hot.” She paused in her approach to her own chair in order to ask him, voice softened.

Finn's head turned slightly as Lily set her hand on his shoulder. His gaze lifted upward to look at her before he blew a short breath and sighed. "Man, I feel like I got run over by a truck," he complained without too much heat to his voice. "I am so sore and so tired and I don't even know why." Alma tutted softly and shook her head. "Perhaps it is the wings," she said briefly. "You are not used to having those." "And I flew from Santa Fe to here," he mumbled shortly before sighed, lowering his head to the chair again. "Everything is so sore and achy," Finn explained briefly, taking in a breath through his nose and letting it out as another sigh. "Did you at least sleep alright?" Alma shook her head. "I worried but I slept alright," she said softly, keeping her voice low. "Do you need something for the pain?" He shook his head lightly. "No, I don't think that's a good idea," Finn admitted quietly. "Thanks though... what's the plan for today?" "See if we remember where the headquarters are--" "What about other relics?" Finn asked quietly. "Like my knife?" Alma seemed surprised and looked toward Lily and then toward Callisto on the windowsill to see what they would say. She dished up the scrambled eggs and pulled a carton of orange juice from the fridge to set on the table as well. "That's not a bad idea, come eat," she urged. "All of you."

Lily’s eyebrows knitted together and she slipped away to take up a seat beside him, leaning back into the chair as Finn continued to speak. Her eyes trailed over the wings that sat slumped against his back, they did look heavy. She supposed they had to be heavy in order to hold the muscle needed to fly. Her hand moved from his shoulder to push his hair back from where it had flopped forward when he leaned back over the chair, it didn’t do much as the locks fell back into place. She drew her hand away and looked back across the room. “I slept okay, my bones aren’t aching anymore.” She murmured before Alma slotted in her own answer and the conversation took a turn back towards their planning. Her head cocked to the side at the mention of the knife and then a spark fired in her brain. “The daggers and that ring will be where we left them, right?” Her head swivelled to look over at the cat by the window as the white figure began to make his way towards them, summoned by Alma’s offering of food. When he arrived at the table he stood back up as the fluffy haired human version of himself and stretched his arms out behind him with a quiet groan before he answered. “You forget, I have never done this either. I was dead in that place for a very long time.” He took up a seat, making sure he was far enough away from the both of them. “However, I would assume they would still be there, yes. As long as Veles does not find them before we return.” Callisto finished and turned his attention towards what Alma was sliding onto the table with hungry eyes. He had forgotten how delicious food was. Lily turned to peek over at Finn with a troubled look before she pushed a soft sigh out through her nose and turned her attention to Alma. “The sacrificial daggers they use, at the cult, they’re replicas of real relics. They work against Veles, at least that’s what they told us. That and a ring, Veles can’t hurt the person wearing that.” She offered a brief explanation of what they were going on about, she didn’t want Alma to feel out of the loop.

Finn offered her a faint smile as her hand tried to push his hair from his face. But it didn't do much. His hair was usually... a mess. That was nothing new though. "That's good," he murmured in returned and turned his attention to Alma as she set plates down. "I know about the daggers," Alma replied loosely and let out a short breath. "And the ring. Taz was a High Priest, he knew all of the secrets. But the ring--that is only slightly right. Veles can't harm the wearer as long as they aren't his designated bride." Finn opened and closed his mouth for a moment or two before pushing a hand through his hair. "The ring was used once before, when Veles was alive. Ages ago, of course. That woman was... turned into a puppet," Alma recounted. "I did some reading, if that would surprise you. The daggers are usually just used for transporting souls from one location to the next." Finn huffed and took a bite of food with a small wince. Moving his arms... had turned into quite the chore. This sucked. "So we find them before Veles does. That's three weapons and we need at least... two more. I'm adding one for Xevon," Finn explained his math. "My obsidian knife, the two daggers and then two other weapons for whoever wants or needs them." Alma gave Lily a small look before shaking her head. "What do you think?" She prompted. "I'd like to get everybody's ideas, opinions and everything on the matter."

Lily was just reaching for a glass of orange juice when she froze, her eyes moving to look over at Alma as she explained exactly what the ring did. How could she have been so stupid, obviously the ring would be different for her. It’s a ring. She felt Finn’s own form realise the same thing and she withdrew her hand from the glass. She sat in silence as she listened to them continue, in fact as she was about to finally speak it was Callisto that beat her to the mark. “I do not think we,” He gestured across the table to Lily and then back to himself. “Need any weapons. If we cannot find any, I do not think it will be a problem.” Callisto’s eyes scanned over her briefly before he added quickly. “Though, I think you need some practice.” With that he was refocused on his breakfast. Lily’s eyebrows shot down in annoyance, staring over at Callisto as he began to eat. If her tail was out it would be lashing from side to side. A short huff before she looked over at Alma and Finn. “As much as I hate to say it, he’s right.” Her head tilted down to look at her plate, beginning to push some food onto the fork. “You two don’t have built in weapons, so you should take as much as you can manage.” She popped the food into her mouth and looked up at Alma, only when she finished swallowing did she talk again. “Xevon told us he lived on the top floor. When we arrive, he will probably be up there. Surely, our return will be enough of a surprise to catch him off guard, no?”

"The hope is that we will catch him off guard," Alma confirmed briefly. "Four against one is no doubt a good fight." "Five." "But he is dead...?" Alma questioned the young man with a raised eyebrow. "He can't attack--" "He very much did," Finn replied quietly. "I ... did the stupid thing and looked back at them when I shouldn't have. Veles is a freak of nature and Xevon hits... hard. I don't even know if Xevon was human to begin with or if he's just some other god who decided to try and take Veles down too. There's no way a human does... that." Alma tutted softly and shook her head. "I'd feel better if everyone had a back-up weapon, Callisto. It is a good idea to practice but if you cannot become your secondary form, you are stuck. You need a second form of protection and offense." Finn shrugged loosely at the thought and shook his head. "I mean, we should be able to catch him off guard. We have our memories, we have weaponry and we just rush him? He can't exactly prepare for us if we don't give him the time to do so." Alma paused for a moment or two. "... Xevon is dead. What on earth could he sacrifice that would satisfy Veles?" Finn gave Lily a confused look and shook his head. He wasn't going to think of anything in that sense.
