Bluejay huffed in annoyance. He didn't like extra attention on top of everything. "They should watch themselves more carefully insteadof me." He spoke in a low tone as he started walking briskly and with false importance, trying to get out of their line of sight. So he started down the path to the watering hole and took some sips.

Luna had followed Blue Jay before she heard other females walking up. She watched as one spoke to Blue Jay in a flirty voice. "Hello there handsome" she said. Her coat was pitch black, and Luna had enough. She let out a growl, her spinal fur bristling. "Back off of my mate!" She snapped towards the female's muzzles, careful to not actually make contact with them, watching the shocked looks on their faces as they looked to Blue Jay for confirmation.

Bluejay had heard he was being followed while he was taking a drink and wasn't surprised. When the female that seemed to be in charge spoke first he held back an "I wouldn't do that." But barely got out the I before Luna lost it. He enjoyed watching the shock on their faces as he calmly walked over and sat by Luna and let his head fall under hers. Knowing they would get it. "Now that that's settled. I trust you'll leave us both well enough alone on the subject." His voice sounded firm as he stared them down.

Luna watched as the females backed off and headed back towards the camp. "Was I a little too harsh" she asked as she looked to Blue Jay. She assumed they would tell the rest of the pack, especially since they had been former Storm Pack members. *Nyra will probably hear about it first* she thought.

Bluejay laughed at her. "No, I would've actually bit them. Your much nicer then me." He kept laughing not caring anymore. He liked her muzzle and gave a breath. Happy it was finally going to be out there and not caring if the hole world knew.

Luna nuzzled into Blue Jay with a smile. "I don't think they would have been too pleased if I actually bit them, especially since they are supposedly Nyra's friends" she said as she kept close to Blur Jay. She lapped up some water as she wondered if Blue Jay's parents would even approve of them being together.

Bluejay gave a light chuckle. Knowing if Nyra tried to hurt Luna it would both be her doom by his teeth, and make a lier out of her. "Well in that case you should have done it." He let his voice become playfully foul as he knew he shouldn't joke like that, even if he thought it was the truth. He walked with her to the water, feeling she wanted to stay close with him after that. He bent his head down close to her. "If your uncomfortable with everyone Knowing it wouldn't be hard to dispel it as a stupid rumor." He offered none to eagerly as he didn't want it to be a secret, or to lie. But if she wished it he would in less the a heart beat.

Luna smiled as she looked at him. "It's already out there that we are mates. No point in trying to hide it. I thought I could handle not letting others know, but I can't help but hate the females trying to flirt with you" she said as she looked around. She almost expected someone to come up to them already, but somewhat hoped they didn't. "Are you going to take over the alpha den now" she asked as she sat down, grateful he kept close.

He nodded. "I didn't want to cover it anyways." He could feel a smile as he nudged her. A feeling of an odd joy overwhelming him. She was jealous. In all fairness I would have been to. But his mind was snapped back at the sound of her melodic voice. "Yeah, I get my parents den, and they get tje one I had. Why?" He tilted his head, finding that to be an odd question and thinking it may just be her deflecting so she wouldn't feel awkward; and understanding tje hatred of feeling awkward he didn't press it at all.

Luna gave a small shrug. "Just making sure I don't try walking into the wrong den if I go to sleep after you" she said with a small smile. She then pushed him into the water before she jumped in herself and laughed. Her coat was soaked now, but she didn't care. She was just happy to be with her mate.
