Mayhem nodded. There was a few awkward scars on her shoulders, maybe it had something to do with her quiet demeanor. Beneath her run-away attitude, the canine could fight.

" I think you will fit right in, Mayhem. " River said looking at her again What if I made her my mate one of these years when she gets used to the pack rules and became friends with everyone he thought as he put his head down with a whine. But it didnt last long. He stood up and headed into the cozy den. " Come here, Mayhem. Might as well get warm."

Mayhem easily followed back into the den more. She was thankful for warmth, as it was early winter. The canine snuggled in next to the wolf, head resting on her paws, staring out in the evening light.

The following morning, River carefully left the den so he could hunt for the small pack. I just hope Mayhem will be ok while im gone he thought.

He left just as the morning sun was coming and hunted a stag. Ash was already up looking at the den enterance.

Mayhem was awake, and had gotten up. Her smooth fur didnt collect dust, so she just trotted out. She almost ran into Ash, as she hadn't seen him.

" Whoa there," Ash said " In a hurry are you?" he grinned at her " Where's the Alpha, huh?"

Aster saw them and howled " Ash, leave the new comer alone. Come here, child" She said looking at Mayhem

Mayhem growled, easily standing off with the male. Her hackles were raised, the dog obviously had some experience in this. "Hunting. Now you best go and leave me alone."

" I dont think so. You're his pet." he tried to lie with a grin " You wont last a week."

Aster growled " Ash.. leave her alone. Come on child.. dont keep me waiting"

Ash chuckled as he walked around waiting for the meal

An hour later, River finally came and dropped the deer in the center " Alright, come on. Mayhem.. come here and sit by me"

That was it. Mayhem was done, she had been pushed to her limit. No matter how much it reminded her of her past, it was right to teach the ignorant wolf a lesson. Her flanks heaved, her head was held high a still tail. Mayhem leaped, aiming for the wolves chest.
