Her bath wasn't long, and the Dark Elf was out before the lukewarm water turned cold. Drying off, before pulling on the fresh clothes she brought. Tucking the dirty ones into the saddle bags. Ayesha sighs as she swiftly brushes her long hair out, before tucking the brush back into the saddle bag. Picking them up, she quietly slips out the bathing room, easily finding the pretty much only other room in the building. As she pushes open the door, she spots Kaiden in the corner. But for the first time in a while, the Dark Elf doesn't acknowledge him.
She was in her own world, her mind running over what Rondru had said as she first closes the door, then dumps her bags in a empty corner. Her blue eyes unfocused, and her steps sort of unsteady, she makes her way to the small window. Staring out of it as she thinks. Rondru was the best tracker in the Elf realms, the Dark Elf having very powerful magic that helped his tracking as well as his pack of hellhounds and soldiers. But Rondru's soldiers were among the best fighters, meaning that even one as powerful as a member of the Royal family wouldn't stand a chance against Rondru and his full pack.
If Rondru really wanted me back with my parents in the Dark Elf realm, then I would either be on my way or there by now. So why did Rondru retreat so easily?
Sure the former Princess did wield the legendary blade of the Elf races, Narcoleptic the Blade of Insanity. But Rondru and his pack had already used so much magic they had no soul to turn insane, meaning that the only way Ayesha could have hurt them was if she got a lucky stab or slice. Ayesha murmurs under her breath,"What are you up to Rondru?" Were her parents gone? Was it her eldest brother, Heir Prince Irzirn? Had Irzirn become King? Perhaps Irzirn had been the one to send Rondru and his pack, but with specific orders....orders that involved not capturing her?
But why?
Out of all the Royal children King Ohulzu and Queen Rharenva had produced, Irzirn had always been the one closest to the traditions and rules. Heir Prince Irzirn was the leader, the future King, and the one who stuck to traditions and rules the most. Prince Iscuri had been a little more laid back, and more willing to break(Or bend as he called it) the rules. Princess Alephro was the perfect warrior princess, yet was a bit willing to bend and twist the rules and traditions to get her way. Ayesha, Princess Eshere, was always the most rebellious one, which showed considering she ran away and changed her looks. While the youngest, Princess Envudo was always trying to follow in Alephro's footsteps. Edited at March 22, 2021 10:09 PM by Dagger Pack

Kaiden's eyes opened as he hears the door to the bedroom open, then slowly he sits up and observes her movements with a small worrying gaze. Something was troubling her, he could tell by the way she moves, and her eyes were staring elsewhere. What she says about her being hunted down, his mind clicked and put the pieces together. The young man stood up, walking over to her, and placed a hand on her shoulder. Just standing there in silence to comfort the young woman whose mind was in a ditzy. They were the same once again, both being hunted down by their old families, and wanting to have a different life. His lips thinned, removing his hand from her shoulder, and moves away from her to sit down on the bed. His eyes were staring down to the wooden floor, hands clenched together as he thinks about what to do in this situation, and at the same time, another thought came erupting into his mind, as well heart. ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ "I'm going to give the village some of the gold that we have to help repair their village from the Chimera attack," he stood up and placed both hands on his side, "It's at least something that we can do to compensate for the kindness that they've shown us so far." His blue eyes turn to Ayesha and make his way to the bedroom door. "Don't worry. I won't take any coin out from your savings, only mines." He conjures a filled coin purse in his hands, trying it up before carrying it out of the room to the people celebrating outside, hopefully, the village chief was at the festival. His eyes lit up upon seeing the old man sitting at one of the tables, drinking from a wooden cup of ale, and he starts walking over to him. Kaiden puts the purse down onto the table, the elder stares down at the purse with shock and brings his eyes towards Kaiden. The two conversed for a bit before Kaiden retreats into the building where Ayesha was. ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ Sitting down on the bed again, staring at the woman and a soft smile appears on his face. The only person he ever smiles around was with Ayesha and rarely does he ever smile around others as he usually is cold and distant. "I had to convince him to take it," he wavers his hand lazily in the hair, "That he doesn't have to pay me back for the amount of coin that I gave him and that he can focus on the wellbeing of his people and home." His heart feels good, and even Arroth wasn't complaining as usual, like the demon enjoys doing good deeds. "Maybe this is our purpose, to help those who need help the most. True that we have a shop and tavern to run, but there are people like them that need proper help." Kaiden stood up, walking over to her, and stood beside her. "Ayesha, would you travel with me to help others who need it?" He asked, staring down at the woman and grins cheekily. His original purpose was to free his parents from the realm they were sealed in, but now he has another, and it's to help others who needed it the most.

Ayesha was pulled out of her thoughts as she feels Kaiden's hand on her shoulder. Her blue eyes sharpening and focusing. A small half forced smile flickering across the Dark Elf's face. Ayesha knew that Kaiden now knew something was wrong, and she also kind of assumed that he probably knew what was wrong. But still her mouth stayed close, she wanted to figure out what Rondru's tactic was before she told Kaiden anything. Ayesha then turns her gaze on him as he begins speaking, having sunken into her thoughts again that she didn't even see Kaiden retreat to the bed. Ayesha nods curtly,"Give them some of both." But by that time Kaiden had already gathered the coins and was out the door. Sighing, she shakes her head, the Dark Elf's gaze focusing back ot the window. When the two had first met two years ago, they had become fast friends realizing that they could balance each other and their powers out. But Ayesha knew that they couldn't run from their fate forever, Ayesha had always been destined to marry Heir Prince Zelnes Bhuzrot of the Light Elves to seal a alliance and end a threat of war.
But the Dark Elf Princess had run from her destiny, her duty, and her home.
Which had probably sentenced her family and former subjects to war, but Rondru made it sound like the Dark Elves and Light Elves and perhaps even some other Elf realms were working together to hunt her down and bring her home. Ayesha murmurs,"How long can we outrun fate?" Her gaze flashes, as she realizes Kaiden had returned. Yet she does not turn around, keeping her blue gaze fixed on the moon. "You should have given him some of my gold to, we have plently." Ayesha had to bite her next words and keep them in her mouth. When Kaiden asked the Dark Elf if she would travel with him to help others, the former Princess pauses. For the first time since entering the room, she turns away from the window meeting his gaze with her own.
"Of course."
Came her simple response, even if her mind was racing. How were they to help people? They only had so much money which would eventually run out. Ayesha was stuck to her swordmanskills, and her hellhound. Eventually their luck would run out, what would happen then? Not to mention both were still being hunted. Perhaps one reason why Rondru didn't push so hard is because he knew. He knew what the former Princess had just now realized. That time after time she would have no choice and would have to use her magic, which would slowly corrupt and destroy her soul. Until no innocent or pure soul was left, leaving her a true Dark Elf.
Leaving her no choice but to return home. To her siblings, her parents, her subjects, her duty, and her arranged marraige.

Kaiden tilts his head a little when she spoke about giving out her share too, and he slowly nods his head. "I know that you wanted to pitch in, too." He says as her eyes were fixated on staring at the moon, using his hands to prop himself against the before leaning backward. "We need all the money we can get, so it's best if only one of us gives out coin while the other saves." She has a good heart, just like he does, and they both express it differently. Ayesha with a bright smile on her face, and Kaiden with a cold face. He licks his dry lips, staring at the ceiling as he listens to the little words she says. A playful scoff leaving his lips, turning his head to face her, and arched a brow. "Just an 'of course'? You're usually siked about doing such matters with me. Unless," he stood up slowly once more, now walking towards the young woman and crossed his arms, "Rondru has visited you?" His eyes darkening, feeling small anger bubbling in his chest, and Arroth started to grow angry. ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ He takes a deep breath, calming both of them down a bit before opening his eyes again. Kaiden opens and closes his mouth, not knowing what to really say without making this too cheesy. "If I see Rondru again, then I'm not afraid to face him myself." He leans forward, a serious look on his face to show her that he doesn't want to argue as he already holds firm on his decision. "I don't want you to use your magic too much. I'll miss the good Ayesha too much," a playful smirk on his face as he decides to toy with her, "Or should I say, Princess Eshere?" He mocked her, giving her an awful bow in greetings on purpose before standing straight after a few seconds. "Want me to make you a hearty meal to warm yourself up? Fluff your pillows, perhaps?" Gesturing to the bed, the pillows looking flat as ever, and he takes off his cloak. "Maybe lend you my royal robes?" ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ He wraps the cloak around her shoulders, with his eyes shifting to gold with the red brim around the iris, and his hair changing to a golden color with black highlights to show that Lionel has now taken over the body. "Kaiden personally asked me to put a protection spell on that cloak," the angel grabs her hand and kisses her knuckles like most male nobles would do, "It'll protect you from many magical and physical attacks. But do be aware that you can only use one of them at a time-meaning that if you chose physical protection, then you can't change over to magical." Kaiden did hate using his two forms, but he's not afraid to change his own codes a little when it comes to Ayesha as she's very dear to him. He was like a sister to him, a sibling that he never had, a true sibling who doesn't try to kill him with every chance they get. Lionel changes back into Kaiden, the young man feeling drowsy again as he used another one of his forms. "I do hope that you appreciate your gift. I've been thinking long and hard on what to get you."

Her blue eyes gave no response, until he said Rondru's name. That caused a hint of black to flicker through her blue eyes, despite her best efforts to keep her face netural. Rondru's visit had been a hell of a surprise, and even worse he had run without a fight. What foul game was going on now? She shakes her head,"Stay calm, Kaiden. It is not as bad as you think. Rondru...." She hesitates, her gaze flickering away to the moon, her source of comfort whenever she first ran away from home. The Dark Elf allows her head to fall below her shoulders for a brief moment, before lifting her head back up. Her brilliant blue eyes meeting Kaiden's sky blue ones.
"Rondru retreated as soon as I drew my sword."
Another hint of black flickers through her eyes, signaling she had used her magic recently. "Kaiden, I cannot avoid using my magic forever. You know that, and I know that." She turns, putting her back to Kaiden, the Dark Elf didn't want her best friend to see the fear and pain in her face and eyes. "I can't outrun my fate." Once again her head bows, this time lower, and this time she doesn't lift it up. Fear, an emotion she had been taught to never have. Yet here she was the once former Princess Eshere fearing for who she could end up, and if it happened when she was with innocents or Kaiden. She could accidently injury them.
When Lionel's voice interrupts her thoughts, Ayesha forces herself to straighten up and a forced smile was plastered across her face as she spins to face him. "Thank you." Another forced smile flickering across her face as Lionel kisses her knuckles like a nobleman would. Her blue eyes flicker down to the cloak,"But you need this more then me, Kaiden." She finally says as Lionel gives sway back to Kaiden. A real smile flickers across her face, though sad and downcast. "I have Narcoleptic, and my skin isn't as fragile as it seems." The Dark Elf pauses for a brief second.
"Besides, I don't have a gift for you."
It was like an impulse, her dark magic pulsed, and next thing she knew Ayesha was holding a second cloak in her hands as well. "Here, um, a fire proof cloak. I know you said not to use my magic, but I promise I didn't me-" Her blue eyes change to a pure black, and the cloak on her own shoulders and in her hand fall to the ground. As Ayesha falls to her knees, the backlash of using dark magic, this was the process of her soul being chipped away. This was the worse attack that she had ever had after using her dark magic. Pain exploding in her head.

Kaiden watched his friend, listening to her words closely. She wasn't in a mood to joke, and it was all of Rondru's fault. He ruined what joy she has, all because he was following blasted orders from a royal family who never cares about their children's happiness. He clenched his fists, knuckles turning white as he turns his head to the side, and listens to what she has to say. He doesn't want her to see how much anger he's truly holding inside, he doesn't want to terrify her even more already, and he wants to keep her safe from witnessing it all over again. Kaiden hates it all, hates the fact that he can easily get angry if it involves Ayesha, and the other that he hates it that he'll become a killing machine if it's not resolved quickly. ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ He looks back over when she offered him a gift, hearing what little she has to say since she collapsed onto the floor. He already knows what's going on, with her soul being torn away. Kaiden went down onto the floor when she did, placing a hand on her shoulder as she was suffering at the moment. The anger quickly died inside him, now filled with extreme concern for his friend, and he thinks about what to do. "Bring her to the bed and lay her down, Kaiden," Lionel ordered, Arroth going quiet as he witnesses this scene, and Kaiden was just panicking, as well afraid for his friend. The young man rises with haste, scooping up Ayesha bridal style, and moves over to the bed then places her down on the mattress. Lionel appears again, Kaiden's energy has depleted once more as the angel arrived, and the angel placed both hands on her head with his hands glowing gold. Silently he begins to heal her head to get rid of her headache, and he starts to examine her body to see if any other pain appears. ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ Placing a hand over her stomach where her soul would be, and begins to think. "My magic isn't strong enough to mend a soul," Lionel says with a sigh escaping him, "Refrain from using dark magic the best way you can, Ayesha." He warned, staring down at the dark elf in disguise, and tilts his head with his eyes a softening stare. "As soon as I learn such High-Tier magic, then you're free to use your magic whenever you wish." He explained, keeping his hands where they are and went quiet as he focuses on taking the pain away. He removes his hand, Kaiden returning, and the man collapses beside her on the bed. His body and face make it seem that he hasn't been sleeping for weeks on end, he closes his eyes and lets out a heavy breath of air. "We're going to stay here for one more day until both of us have fully energized." Using his powers three times in a single day took all of the energy stored in his body. If he's not careful, then his life-force would replace all the missing energy that he has.

She barely felt herself being lifted and carried to the bed. Ayesha groans,"It's okay..." But by that time she felt hands on her forehead, and a warmth spreading through her. Until the headache was gone and she could see again. Her black eyes fading back to blue. To weak to lift herself up, she just lays there as Lionel continues his examination. "This isn't the first time this has happened, I'll be okay." Ayesha tries to protest, but it was weak. Her blue eyes flash briefly,"Even you cannot save me from my fate, Lionel. I am destined to become like my forefathers before me. Souless." She rasps, her voice growing stronger with every word.
"I never planned on using it, but sometimes it uses itself."
Came the murmur, as she allows her eyes to drift shut. At Lionel's words saying that there could be a time when she could use her magic when she pleased, her bue eyes shot open again. "No. I don't want to use my magic unless I absoutely have to." Then Kaiden was back, and Ayesha forces herself to scoot over as the young man collapses on the bed beside her. At his words, she flinches,"I'm sorry." It was her fault that they were staying another day. Because she couldn't control her own magic.
Because who she was put both of them in danger. Perhaps Kaiden could outrun his destiny, but Ayesha knew she could not. If she knew her father, King Ohulzu had to much pride to admit that he had lost and leave Ayesha in the mortal realms. Her father would soon unite all the elf realms to find her, and even with her blade, the former princess would not be able to outrun them. She would soon be back home being called Princess Eshere and being married to the Heir Prince of the Light Elves.
Ayesha supposed that Zelnes Bhuzrot wasn't that bad. Before she left, he had been handsome. Polite, nice, everything a proper Prince future King should be. But Ayesha had never been in Zelnes company without a sibling or parent. So she didn't know if Zelnes acted different when he was by himself. But the Dark Elf hadn't wanted to find out, she never wanted to be married. But when the truce was made, Ohulzu had allowed Zelnes to choose his future bride from his two oldest daughter's.
Princess Alephro and Princess Eshere.

Kaiden doesn't know what to say or do to encourage the young woman to make her happy just for tonight. He closes his eyes, a sigh leaving his lips as he rakes his fingers through her hair, not only to soothe her nerves but his too. "Then I'll try my hardest to help you change your fate, Ayesha." His eyes gleamed under the moon's ray, stopping the movements of his hand and pulls it away. He wants her to gain the freedom to decide her own life, and that's why he was doing this. He wants her to stay beside his side until they find love and the eagerness to have their own family. "I will help you find your true happiness, and I don't care if it'll take years to do so," settling his head down onto the pillow, "You're my best friend, and I want you to be happy." Kaiden arched a brow, "If you like, I'll marry the Elven Prince if that'll make you feel better." ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ Knowing Kaiden, he was either joking or serious about it. When she says sorry, he could feel a small hint of guilt radiating off his friend. Sitting up a little, shaking his head, and huffs a bit. "Don't be sorry about that, Ayesha. I needed the extra sleep since I used my powers without prepping first," he climbs out of bed and walks over to the door to lock it, "I think I hurt my back pretty badly when shifting from Arroth and Lionel. I can't quick shift like that." Kaiden murmurs, rubbing his lower back the best way he can. He stares at the bag, slowly making his way over, and crouches to pick it up. Digging into his bag, pulling out a rolled-up scroll, and unravels it. He then speaks to the scroll, "Create me a standing mirror and a ball of light for 45 seconds." The scroll begins to glow, removing itself from his hands and overs in the air, with Kaiden taking off his shirt. ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ As the scroll changes into a mirror and ball of light, he turns around, then looks over his shoulder to stare at the mirror with his eyes widen in shock. Small black scales were forming with small white feathers forming along the ridges of each scale, like both of his forms were merging into one, almost like a sickness. "Ooh, scaly feathers!" Arroth says rather gleefully, causing Kaiden to ssh the demon who suppressed laughter, as for Lionel, he seems concerned more than anything. "That's not good. If both of us merge, then it's sure to kill him. Light and darkness cannot mix, it would crus-" "Yeah, yeah. Quit worrying so much. Besides. you love being stuck with me." Kaiden puts back on his shirt slowly, the mirror and ball of light disappearing, listening to his two counterparts arguing-which is making him irritated.

A small real smile flickers across her face, this is why Kaiden was her best friend. Because of the things he would do for her, and the things she would do for him. "Zelnes will not marry anyone but an elf." Her eyes finally gleaming with amusement. "It is forbidden for an elf to marry anyone else then an elf. Half bloods are illegal." She didn't know how it was in other realms, but it had been taught to her again and again, that pureblooded elves were the only elves allowed to live. Especially for a royal family. But Ayesha didn't care who she married, the Dark Elf wanted to marry out of love not out of force. When Kaiden got up, Ayesha manages to push herself into a sitting position. She was recovering quickly from the soul-sucking attack, but was still a hint unsteady. Her blue eyes flicker to the window for a brief second before returning to Kaiden.
"If I had stayed in the Dark realm to finish my training of my powers, I could help you with the headaches and the pain."
Came her soft murmur. The Dark Elves were powerful, but with great power came a great pain. Her father, who was the most powerful Dark Elf in the Dark realm, had no soul left. King Ohulzu was heartless, souless, and had no care in the world. Yet he still ruled like a true King. From her experience with her father, which wasn't much, Ohulzu did not love, did not care, and did not feel. Which befuddled Ayesha greatly, how could someone rule like a great King if they could not feel? If they had no emotions. But yet, it was a feat her father continued to complete for at least 100 years.
Watching Kaiden check his back, Ayesha wished she could help him. After all Lionel had just been able to help her with her pain, but she was unable to do the same for him. Ayesha tips her head, strawberry blonde hair falling across her face. For a minute she leaves it, but as it begins to tickle her face, she tucks it behind her ear. Legends that she was told as a child, suddenly popped into the Dark Elf's mind. Her eyes lighting up briefly. "Maybe there is a way for both of us to get what we want." She says, her blue gaze half full of hope.
"When I was a child, my mother would always tell me stories. Legends of the Dark Elves and of the other elves. She told me about Narcoleptic Blade of Insanity, saying that some rumored it to be a myth that the blade was fake. But my brother and I found it-" She hesitates, that was the day he died as well, a flicker of sadness crossing her eyes. "-We found it, and after the death of my brother, I kept it a secret. But word got out that someone had found Narcoleptic. That's when everyone began to believe in the Old Legends." Her blue gaze grows misty as she gets lost in her thoughts. "But there were two legends, about a locket and a bracelet, about their powers." Her blue eyes grow sharp.
"The Royal Amulet and The Onyx Bond."

Kaiden listens to every word that Ayesha has to say, forcing the other two's attention to be brought onto the young woman, giving her their full attention before approaching her. He sits down on the bed, shrugging his shoulders, "It was worth the shot." Staring into those eyes of her, a cheeky smile forming on his face, "Unless...you want us to marry." Again, it was hard to tell if he was being serious or just messing around, yet his eyes held no visible emotion. Perhaps he was eager to see her full reaction, tilting his head as he examines her. "Think of it as a friendly proposal. Once you find someone you truly love, then we can get a divorce. I'm not scared of dark magic if you're worried about your elven family hunting me down for it," he frowns a little, "Darkness already runs in my veins." The thing about Kaiden is that he's not afraid to speak his mind, it was true that he's usually quiet, but he can and will voice out his opinions. Which often leads him to get into fights with people. ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ "Oh?" He grew interested in hearing what she has to say, a small smirk appearing on his face. "Do tell." As she told her story and the incident with her brother, Kaiden reaches over to give her hand a comforting squeeze. He already knows what happened with her brother, she told him when they first met, and that's how the two became fast friends. They lost someone very dear to them, her with her brother and him with his parents. When she mentioned the two artifacts, his interest grew with a soft smile pulling on his lips. "What you're saying is, if the artifacts do exist, then we can find them and used them to control our own destiny." He lets go of her hand, crossing his arms as he begins to think, a sigh escaping his lips as he knows that this won't be easy. ≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾ "We need more information so," his eyes drift to the moon and stares at it with a determined look, "We help others, and in return, we gain whatever information that's closely related to our search." Kaiden lays down on the bed, hands tucked behind his head as a plan ravels in his mind. "The both of us have to be cautious on asking questions like that as we don't want to give out details of what our plan is and leak any evidence to the ones hunting us down." Rolling onto his side, his eyes glued onto the sheet of the bed as he forms a solution to the possible problem. "We could say that we're adventurers and give out fake names," and he stares up at her, "But I'm pretty sure that the both of us are tired of have more than one name."
