Lucifer didn't like that Gary ended up winking in her direction, but pretended it didn't bother him with the still small smile on his face. As much as he hated it, he didn't want to act out over a small little thing. Cleo would clearly not appreciated it and would only get after him for it as she did with his outburst after the kiss. If he could, he would definitely warn or give Gary a beating to stay away from Cleo, but once again, he doesn't want to get yelled at by Cleo and explain his reasoning. He rather keep it to himself as she would only make fun of him if she even knew about it. When they entered the building, he enjoyed that there weren't as many people as he thought there would be. His gaze flickered around the room while his hand stayed on her waist. Though, when she slipped away, he will admit that he is a little disappointed that she did that. Sure, she went to go get drinks, but he didn't like her going off with Gary on the prowl. He is definitely going to have to keep his eyes on the man to make sure he doesn't do anything to piss him off or to harm Cleo. Just the thought of Gary hurting her made his jaw and hands clench. At that point, he won't be able to hold back his anger. Why he would feel like that would be beyond him. He was about to ask Cleo for a dance, but she was being pulled away by Gary. A growl left his lips as his gaze followed them out onto the dance floor. His eyes are narrowed, clearly displeased that she is with Gary and not him. He sat at the table, his scotch on the rocks in his hand as his gaze stayed on them. Anyone could tell from just glancing at him that he is ready to rip the man's head off and feed it to his Hellhound. Man, that sounds so tempting and he wouldn't mind seeing that one bit. He might have to do something like that once his punishment on earth is finished and he can go back to ruling Hell again. Just the thought of that relaxed him slightly, but he is still really annoyed with the fact that Gary can think he steal his woman away from him. Before he could say anything about her tab, she was being pulled away by another man. Another growl left his lips, his hands clenching the glass so hard in his hand that it shattered. He looked at the shattered glass on the table in surprise as well as his bloody hand. Seems like he needs to keep his anger in check before he blows up on someone and Cleo yells at him. He went to reach for a napkin, but a hand grabbed his bloody one. His head whipped in the person's direction, the surprise being seen on his face once again at seeing Katelyn inspecting his wound that will heal in the next few minutes. Of all places, why is she here? He didn't even tell her that he was going to be here when he texted her earlier. It makes him think that she might be stalking him. She sat in the chair next to him before she took a piece of glass out of his hand before wrapping it up with a towel until it heals. He looked at her warily as he pulled his hand back and put it in his lap. "Thanks." He said bluntly before getting up and going to Cleo when he noticed she had a drink. He grabbed it from her, glancing in the direction she is looking in to see a man. He glared at the man before turning towards her. "I'm about this close to ripping someone's head off if someone is going to order you another drink or steal you away from me and onto the dance floor." He growled out before Katelyn came over to them. He let a groan out, his forehead resting on Cleo's shoulder in frustration. "And then we have her coming in here. Why can't we have a peaceful time with just you and me?" He asked, almost seeming to whine that he doesn't get to have her to himself while they are here. People are annoying him and he isn't enjoying the night like he thought he would be.

Cleo had been about to walk over to him hearing the glass break but stopped when she saw Katelyn over there. She finished the last of her water, choking slightly when he mentioned he was about to rip someone's head off. The feeling of his head against her shoulder, had her chuckling slightly while she patted his head gently. "Awwww, you wanted to keep me all to yourself? And a club is the last place I would think a couple could have a peaceful time at." Her heart jumped when he mentioned having a peaceful night with her. Does that mean there is the start of feelings for Lucifer? Why am I excited about the fact he wanted time with just me? She set down her glass and looked over at Katelyn offering her free drink to her. "Here, I don't need this drink." Her eyes watched the other woman and she crossed her legs before lowering her voice. "Am I detecting a hint of jealousy coming from you my love? I haven't seen you this upset before." She rested her head against his for a moment before she stood and took his hand heading to the dancefloor. "Why don't we dance then?" She sidestepped Katelyn as they headed to the floor disappearing into the small crowd. After pausing for a moment, she spun and placed his hands on her hips before her arms wrapped around his neck. "Well now you have me all to yourself? Which if this is what you wanted, why aren't we doing this at home where I could be cuddled up in my chair with my book and in sweats...way more attractive than this outfit." Even though there weren't very many people in the club, Cleo was still bumped into Lucifer by another person. Her body pressed up against his, but instead of pulling away like she normally would, Cleo rested her head on his shoulder closing her eyes. Why was the motion feeling more and more natural with him? Granted she did start this job with the secondary plot of getting Lucifer to gain his feelings but maybe she was getting a little more attached herself. She had also gotten in contact with Selene just to give some updates and order some other dummies for her training. Thankfully the delivery men didn't ask many questions when they would leave the packages while she was at home or why she always looked like she was just getting out of a fight. At that moment though her mind wasn't worried about if anyone was trying to harm them or even what she needed to do in the next couple of weeks, it was focusing on the man in front of her. Cleo slowly lifted her head and searched Lucifer's face. "Do you want me to step back?"

When he heard Cleo choke, Lucifer had a feeling that it had to do with his comment about ripping someone's head off. He gave a small laugh, patting her back gently to help her out while his forehead stayed rested against her shoulder. He felt like a child when she started to pat his head a few times, causing a small frown to dance across his lips. He isn't one that enjoys someone patting his head, but he will definitely let it slide with Cleo as it is Cleo and not some random woman coming up to him and trying to do it. He didn't know why he felt annoyed that men kept taking Cleo away from him, but he quite frankly didn't like it one bit. He wanted to burn their eyes out so they couldn't see her or find a more attractive woman to take their eyes off Cleo. Well, to him, she is the most attractive woman here. He would just have to find an attractive woman that comes in second. That would definitely make him feel better than having them steal her away when they are so clearly "married". Katelyn muttered a thanks when Cleo slid the glass to her. She took a sip, her gaze on the two and how Lucifer seems to somewhat care for the woman. Interesting as she never thought he would be after his mother and whatnot. He turned his head slightly when Cleo asked him if he is jealous. At the hearing the mere word, the corner of his lips turned down. Was he jealous that men kept trying to steal her away from him? Perhaps he did, and if this feeling is jealously, he doesn't want it. He feels like it is a dangerous emotion for anyone to play with and he isn't sure he wants it. It would make him feel more vulnerable and make people think they can act a certain why towards him if they saw that. "Maybe I am." He murmured, enjoying that she rested her head against his. Sadly, that didn't last long. Soon, he was being pulled out onto the dance floor with him. He glanced towards Katelyn, seeing that she has an amused look on her face. He frowned at her, wondering what is going through her head of hers. He turned his attention back onto Cleo seconds later when she practically placed his hands on her waist without him giving her permission to do so. He didn't say anything though, glad that he had her in the safety of his arms and not have her be in some other man's arms. It made him feel more at ease, his body relaxing and his jaw unclenching. But seriously, if this is jealously, he doesn't want it and would rather burn it in a hole to prevent it from existing. It would be easier for him if he didn't have such an emotion. When she said that she would look more attractive had they stayed at the house, he snorted. She must really think she doesn't look beautiful among these women with what she is wearing. Frankly, he isn't one for someone wearing skimpy outfits that would drive any man crazy. Granted, if he had a lover and she wore something revealing when alone, he wouldn't protest to it. It means he only gets to see it and no one else. He leaned down towards her, his lips next to her ear. "Darling, no matter what you wear or what you look like, you look beautiful regardless. Stop putting yourself down. Even if your hair was all messy, you had mascara under your eyes, baggy sweats, and a baggy t-shirt, you would look just as beautiful as you do now. Believe me as you know I don't voice compliment often." He told her before pulling his face away from her. When someone bumped into her and pushed her flesh against him, he did tense slightly. Not as much as he used to, which is surprising as anyone that knows him knows that he hates having people be this close to him. For some reason, he didn't mind that she is close to him though. It felt right for some reason, even though he would never admit that to her. He said nothing to her question though, letting his hands slide up her waist to her mid-back. He let his arms go around her, keeping her where she is to prevent her from trying to pull back. "If I wasn't okay with this, I would've left once you pulled me onto this dance floor." He said, his arms slightly tightening around her. "Cleo, I..." He stopped there, not wanting to say anything more with people around to listen in on them.

She would have been lying to herself if she didn't admit that she enjoyed hearing him compliment her. She raised an eyebrow when he stopped himself and gently placed a hand on his cheek. Her eyes searching his face trying to see what he had been trying to say. "But I will say that I wouldn't have agreed to come out if I had mascara under my eyes." His comment about being possibly jealous cause a small chuckle as her fingers gently moved into his hair before resting on his shoulders. Something about the way he was holding her felt as though they were two puzzle pieces that were fitting together perfectly. She scolded herself in her mind trying to remind herself not to let her own emotions wreak havoc on her choices or forget what she was really meant to be doing. Her job was to protect Lucifer with the side assignment of trying to have him show some emotions towards anyone other than just Selene. "Is everything alright?" Yes she noted that they called each other love and darling probably more than they needed to, but it seemed that each time it was spoken there was more feeling behind the words. On a normal outing with her friends, Cleo probably would have gone for a body con dress and a pair of heels just to see how many free drinks she could get without talking to too many people. Many times she would flirt with some of the guys but ever since she started this assignment, she didn't feel the need to dress up or really try flirting with anyone else. Even though she wasn't really married to Lucifer, it still felt like she was cheating on him when it happened. There were times at the office though where she had been mistaken for flirting when she was just trying to be nice and help a couple of the other coworkers out. It was only after she had spoken with Gary and Lauren that she learned that two of the guys had been faking that they didn't know what to do or where to look. She was about to speak again when a waitress walked over to them offering a remake of the drink that Lucifer had been drinking before their dance. "The lady at your table wanted me to deliver it to you. She also says your welcome." Cleo narrowed her eyes slightly as she looked towards Katelyn and noticed the smug look on her face. She did wait until the waitress was gone before muttering. "I wish I could remove that smug look from her face...it isn't a flattering look for her." Her gaze had drifted back to Lucifer and missed Gary walk over to stand by Katelyn, leaning against the table as he whispered to her trying to look uninterested in what was happening. "Were you able to put the drug into his drink?" His gaze was on his own drink trying to appear like he was just waiting at the table for Cleo to return so he could sneak her away to talk. From the outside it would appear as though the two at the table were waiting for their partners to return from the floor rather than skeming to get rid of the female in Lucifer's arms to get at him.

Usually, Lucifer would flinch if she reached up and placed a hand on his cheek. Just over the past month, he has gotten better with it. Well, with her anyways. Other people he still flinches if they were to do such a movement to him. With her, he accepts it and doesn't flinch or shy away from her touch. He finds it odd, honestly, as he remembers at the beginning that he didn't want to have anything to do with her. Now, he is slightly getting jealous, he thinks, over other men trying to steal her away from him, even if they aren't technically married. Sure, he could do the same thing to other women, but it just doesn't feel right now that he has been around Cleo every day. Had he not been around her all the time, things would probably be different between the two of them. He chuckled softly at her comment, shrugging his shoulders. Even if she did have mascara and didn't notice, he would've told her or gotten something to remove it for her. "That is what this so-called makeup remover is for." He pointed out. Even though he is jealous, maybe it isn't towards her. Now that he thinks about these odd stirrings he hasn't had in decades, it can't be because of Cleo. It has to be that he has been talking to Katelyn every few days. Of course, he wouldn't be surprised as they were so close at one point. That must be it. He knows he can't like let alone love someone like Cleo. She is the complete opposite of him, but he feels like they get along so well together. She knows a few things that not many people know about, like Katelyn, Selene not having her wings -only the high council knows about her wings-, and the fact that he is supposedly jealous over people stealing her. But, regardless, these stirrings must be for Katelyn and not Cleo. He looked down at her when she asked if everything is alright. He almost forgot that he was going to tell her something about what he is feeling. He shook his head at her, giving her a reassuring smile as well. "Yes. Everything is perfectly fine." He said as he leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of her. The odd thing too is that he has been a bit affectionate towards her the more that they fake being married to each other. Sure, he shows affection towards Selene, but showing it towards someone whether it is fake or not, is something that is new for him. Something that people haven't really seen him do very much. Had it been under any other circumstances, he probably would've chosen a dude to watch over him instead of a rather attractive woman who is in his arms right now. He glanced at the waitress who handed him the drink. He took one arm away from Cleo, but the other still stayed wrapped around her. He glanced in the direction of Katelyn, a sigh leaving his lips before he looked at the scotch in the glass. He thanked the waitress as he swirled the liquid around in the cup. He brought it to his nose, sniffing it before taking a small sip. Tasted fine to him. At hearing Cleo's remark, he let a small chuckle leave his lips. "Is someone jealous?" He countered back. He took a few more sips, only finishing half of it before giving it to a waiter as they passed by. He wanted to be polite, but seeing Cleo's face and hearing her remark, he didn't want her to get the idea that he is accepting Katelyn, even if he may have stirrings for her. "Not that I would mind. It means at least I am not the only one being jealous." He teased, his arm returning back to its place. Katelyn took a sip of the red wine, her legs crossed elegantly as she watched Cleo and Lucifer on the dancefloor. She turned her head slightly, her eyes flickering over to Gary as he stopped next to her. Moments later her gaze went back onto the two figures. Her head nodded as she brought the glass to her lips to mask her lips from moving while answering him. "Of course. Even though he only drank half, it is more than enough for him to get into that drunken state." She replied, taking a sip of her drink moments later. As much as she hates Lucifer, she feels like this is a bad idea if they succeed. He might kill them for what they have planned later and she knows that the man isn't merciful. "Are we sure we want to go through with this plan to the very end?" She asked him, her gaze flickering up to him.

For some reason it didn't feel like that had been what he was going to say but she didn't want to push the subject. His comment about her being jealous caused her to roll her eyes with a snort. "Me jealous? Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?" At the end of the song, she pulled away slipping her hands into her pockets. Why was she feeling jealous? It wasn't like the two of them were really married or even together. Yet she still found herself annoyed with the fact that Katelyn had gotten him a drink when she was supposed to be the one covering them. It did cross her mind that she should have let Lucious take this assignment instead of her when they were first joking around about the secondary assignment. She began to walk back to the table but was stopped by someone grabbing her arm pulling her back onto the dance floor. She jerked her arm back landing a hand against the man's cheek and walked towards the bar finding an open seat. She sat down with her arms folded anger rolling off of her as the bartender set down a glass of water in front of her. Gary nodded. "You want to get back at him don't you? Make him feel the same pain that you felt when he left you?" He raised an eyebrow at the sound of a slap and shook his head chuckling. "Though she might be a bit more of a handful than we originally thought...we have to see if your drug works. But if they leave together, we will have to be patient and wiggle are way in a little more forcefully." He then stood up and walked over to sit by Cleo leaning his back against the bar. "Did you really have to slap him? I am sure it was a simple mistake Lynne. But good on you not letting someone walk over you." Cleo looked over at Gary and shook her head with a sigh. "Why do guys think they can just pull people into dancing with them if it looks like they are leaving? My whole body is exhausted from working out earlier." A spark lit in his eyes and he chanced a glance to Katelyn as he made a note of Cleo's words. "Well I can be your personal bodyguard for the rest of the night if needed. I mean what are friends for?" He gently took one of her hands in his own and gave it a friendly squeeze before lifting it to his lips to press a kiss against the soft skin. Even with all of the training and work she did with her hands, her skin was always silky soft and smelled faintly of vanilla and cherry blossoms. "Gary you are too nice of a friend for me. I don't know what I would do without you." Even if his actions appeared to be flirting to those around them, Cleo seemed oblivious to that fact. She was taking it as harmless banter instead of someone trying to capture her attention.

Katelyn glanced at Lucifer when Gary asked her if she wanted to get back at him. As much as she hates that the man hurt her so much after his mother died, she still isn't sure about this plan. Granted, she isn't going to back out or do a poor ass job, but she is a bit hesitant even if she doesn't show it. She already knows that he is going to be pissed once they get into the final steps of their plan in the end. God knows what he would have planned for them once the time comes. Just thinking about what he could do and the punishments caused a shiver to racket her body. "I do." She drawled out slowly, her gaze flickering up to Gary. She searched his face for a moment before sighing. "True. We will have to figure other things out for our next steps too." She murmured before he walked away to go sit with Cleo. Lucifer came over to Cleo just as Gary took her hand and squeezed it. His eyes narrowed at the man, very displeased that he thinks he has the right to even think about laying a hand on Cleo. He reached out and gently brushed his hand off Cleo's, clearly showing that he doesn't like the attention Gary is showing her. "Can you please not show such affection towards my wife? I don't appreciate you flirting with her when she clearly has someone by her side who is more than capable of taking care of her." He leaned down next to Cleo, his lips next to her ear for her to only hear what he is going to say next. He definitely doesn't like Gary and wished he could take her with him to his next destination, but he knew that won't be happening since it is the men's bathroom. "I'm going to the bathroom. If he tries to harm you, I give you full permission to kill him." He said before he pressed a kiss to her cheek as if he told her something sexy. He pulled away from her, glancing in Gary's direction and glaring at him. If he could give him a murderous glare, he most definitely would. He just doesn't want Cleo to slap him upside the head for doing so either. He rather not get in trouble when he feels a strong hatred for someone, especially someone who is trying to hit on his woman. Wait, his woman? He needs to slow his roll down and remind himself that Cleo isn't his. She might never be either, especially once their punishment on earth is done. "I see you try to flirt with her again, I won't be so nice the next time." He warned Gary before he moved away from the table. He went to the bathroom, doing what he needed to do before he washed his hands. He felt himself getting a bit lightheaded, something he has always felt when he was drunk. He noticed that items around him started to blur slightly together as well. He cupped some water in his hands and splashed it on his face, hoping it would help. When it didn't, his brows furrowed together in confusion. He has only had two drinks. How is it possible that he is starting to get drunk? It isn't like he had that hard liquor to where it would make him feel this way either. Perhaps someone slipped something into his drink when he wasn't looking, making him now not want to go drinking out in public again if that is the case. He is going to have to get Cleo so they can head out as he is rather different when drunk and he doesn't want people to see that side of him that isn't Cleo. Even then he didn't want her to see that side of him. He stumbled out of the bathroom, his hand on his forehead as he headed back to the table. He tried to weave through some people but bumped into someone. He muttered an apology, which is surprising as he isn't one to apologize to anyone for anything. He did it to a few more people before he finally came to the table that Cleo and Gary are at. He looked up at Cleo with puppy dog eyes, his bottom lip jutted out. He grabbed her hand to get her attention as well. "We need to head home. I am not feeling like myself." He mumbled as his gaze stayed on her. If anyone saw him, they would wonder what happened to Lucifer and replaced him with the one standing before Cleo. It is a rare sight for him to be like this. Katelyn finally walked over, her hand sliding up his arm and then resting on his shoulder. He shivered at his touch from both pleasure but disgust as well. Let's just say he hasn't had any type of fun since he was with her. Sure, he has flirted, but that is different from doing the other stuff. "Dance with me." She whispered into his ear. He shrugged her hand off his shoulder, his gaze not flickering away from Cleo. "Leave me alone, Kate. I am busy trying to get my wife to take me home." He mumbled before pulling on Cleo's hand and leading her towards the exit.

Gary playfully pouted when Lucifer walked away. Cleo watched him walk away before pushing Gary's shoulder. The pair had been talking when Lucifer stumbled back up to her. It was unsettling to see the puppy dog eyes and she stepped down from her seat. "Okay, love." Her eyes noticed his shiver and glanced to Katelyn narrowing her eyes. She wrapped an arm around his shoulders as they walked stepping out of Gary's reach as he tried to pull her back to him. "You both have a good night. My husband and I need to get home." She held the door open for Lucifer and stepped out after him using her free hand to reach into his pocket to pull out the keys. "Are you sure we don't need to go somewhere else?" Worry filled her words as they walked up to the car. She unlocked the door and held open the passenger door. Even though she was worried about him, her movements were precise. Her hand rested on his lower back as she helped him climb into the car. Once he was settled, she went over to the driver's side and climbed in turning on the car. "You know I would love to make some jokes but now is not the time." Something was not right and she was trying to go over in her mind who may have tampered with his drink or if the stories about his drinking ability had been more fallacy than truth. As she turned down the road that led to their home, she looked over at Lucifer and shook her head chuckling. "On the one night that we end up going out, you get drunk...Maybe I am not a very lucky charm for you." She pulled into their drive and turned off the car pocketing the keys before she stepped out and moved over to help him. Seeing how unsteady he had been in the club, she offered her hand to him as she opened the door. "Are you ready my princess? Your humble abode waits." The light of the street lamp danced across her features as she smiled waiting for him to give her his hand. "I did have fun tonight love, even with having to cut it short. Honestly seeing you lighten up even just the smallest made it worth it for me." The notion to say that she still owes him drinks crossed her mind but maybe if she didn't broach the subject, it might get forgotten and she wouldn't have to pay for even more. Goosebumps covered her arms as a shiver ran down her spine from the cool night breeze. "Also as much as I love waiting on you hand and foot, I would rather not freeze my hiney off out here."

Lucifer doesn't understand what happened at the club. He only had two damn drinks and pow, he is drunk, something he never wanted to get to again. Clearly, that didn't happened and he is highly disappointed in himself. He knew Cleo wouldn't drug him, so she is off his list. The only other drink he got was from Katelyn. Even then he doesn't think she has the guts to even put something into his drink unless she would like to have his warth fall onto her, which he knew she wouldn't want. That made him wonder if the waitress that gave him the drink did something to his drink. Then again, he doesn't think so. Who knows who did it and he frankly doesn't care with how his mind seems to be all over the place. He looked up at her, a grin on his lips. "Nah. I should be fine. Now, if I start throwing up and getting a temperature, that would be the time to start worrying." He slurred, his arm around her waist as they walked to the car. When she opened the door, he stared blankly at it as if he didn't know what to do. He looked at her and then the seat before climbing in, his head smacking against the car as he tried to duck. A hiss left his lips, tears forming at the corner of his eyes as he glared where he hit his head. "Damn thing shrunk on me. Did you see that Cleo?" He asked before he reached forward and shut the door before she could even answer him. He took the seatbelt, struggling to pull it to clip it in. He mumbled in frustration before tugging harshly. He finally clipped it in after a good minute. He leaned back in his seat, staring out the window as they drove back to the house. He leaned forward slightly, clicking the emergency button to where the lights flashed on the tail and front lights. His eyes went as wide as saucers before he clicked it again to turn it off. "Ya know, I think someone put something in my drink." He slurred as he then turned to the handle of his door. He pushed the window button down, a childish grin on his lips as the window went down. He even let out a giggle. Yes a giggle. Not a snicker or a chuckle. A fucking giggle. He then pulled it back up before speaking. "I know my limit to when I get drunk and it isn't after two drinks. It is usually after a whole bar!" He cried out, his hands going through his hair in frustration. He glanced up when they pulled into the driveway, a pout on his lips that they got home so soon. He unbuckled just as Cleo opened his door. He looked at her, not really saying anything as she stuck her hand out towards him. He looked at it, blinking a few times before he reached out and took it. He put the other hand behind him to push off the seat as he got up and out of the car. He shut the door behind him before pulling Cleo flush against his chest. A soft smile is on his lips as he gazed down at her, his free hand going up to her face and settling on her cheek. "You are so, so beautiful." He mumbled as his hand went to the back of her neck. He pulled her face towards him and kissed her right there and then. Will he remember this in the morning? Who knows. He pulled away from her after a few minutes before he moved away from her and towards the house, pulling her with him with the hand that is still intertwined with hers. He sloppily pulled the keys out of his pocket, unlocking the door before pulling her inside. He then closed the door, but, without thinking, pressed her up against it. One hand is on the door next to her head and the other is once again on her cheek. "I don't want you to hate me like everyone else." He said sincerely. He really didn't, but he didn't know if he could fully trust her. Right know, trust wasn't on his drunken mind at the moment. "I want you to be mine and mine only. Not Gary's. He pisses me off." Anyone knows that when he is drunk, he tells the truth about stuff. "I don't know why I haven't met you sooner before this damn assignment." That was all he said before he leaned down and kissed her once again.

As adorable as it was when she watched him hit his head and then have a childlike adoration at the window and lights, she was mentally spinning as he kissed her against the door. Her body instinctually leaned into the kiss as her arms wrapped around his neck. There was something about the truthfulness in his words and the intoxicating kiss that was blurring the line between work and play. One of her hands danced from behind his neck to his chest beginning to undo the top buttons of his shirt. There was an electricity flowing through her at his touch, that even though her mind was screaming to push him away and stop, her heart was practically screaming to keep going. She did push him away slightly once her hand finished with the buttons and while looking at him through her lashes, took a few shaky breaths. “Lucifer...I could never truly hate anyone let alone you.” A huskier tone lined her words as she rested her head back against the door. “We should get you up to bed…” It was more of a murmur than a statement as she stepped away from the door keeping an arm around his shoulders as she began walking to the stairs. Outwardly there was a light dusting of pink on her cheeks but internally she was battling between her what her mind was saying and what her heart was feeling. As much as she wanted to feel his lips against hers again, she was trying to refrain from overstepping a line that she wasn’t sure she would be able to come back from. She paused for a moment outside his door narrowing her brows in thought before pulling herself away from him. “Let me make sure no one has decided to sneak in. If someone did put something in your drink, maybe they had something planned for tonight…” Her training and logic finally winning the battle as she began to open his door slowly. Her eyes scanned the room looking for anything that would appear to be out of place. Cleo was the opposite compared to Lucifer and how many times she had been in his room. Of course she knew what it was supposed to look like but she wasn’t a frequent flier. Once she had double checked every little hiding area in his room, she walked back over to him and wrapped her arm around his waist. “Time for bed for you...before we both do something we may regret.” His words about wanting her to be his and only his poked at the barricade that she was trying to build in her mind which caused another round of goosebumps to cover her skin, though these were not from a cool night breeze. She turned Lucifer so that his back was to his bed before she made him sit down on the edge as she knelt down scanning his face with her eyes. One hand moved up to rest against his forehead double checking if he was running a fever. Her eyes kept moving to his lips even as she kept mentally saying she needed to look somewhere else...anywhere else lest he get the idea that she was wanting to kiss him. While she was getting lost in her thoughts, her hand had moved from his forehead to brush through his hair as her body leaned closer, her free hand on his knee to balance. “Also in answer to your question about the car shrinking on you, I will say that no I didn’t see it shrink and we have met before. It was only in passing a few times as I brought demons back to you or if I was looking for someone specific. We never talked or really acknowledged each other. Mainly I just tried to stay out of your way.”
