"If we're together on this, let's go!" Mayhem barked before she trotted from the den, towards the open fields.

River was right behind her followed by aster. The two males Ash and Aries were the last ones to leave the Alpha den. They followed Mayhem to an open field.

They surrounded Mayhem in a wide circle waiting for intruction. But River sat to the side, watching.

'I want all of you to bring me a small branch of berries. This is to see if you can tell the difference between edible and poisonous plants. Except you." Mayhem pointed to Aries.

Aries was the packs herbalist " but... ok fine. " he said sittinf back down as he watched the others run off to find what looked liked edible berries. Aster went south a little ways, and Ash went North. Both taking a half hour, but they soon came back with a branch. They set them in front of Mayhem and then stepped back around her.

Aries chuckled " Not even clo-" he began before he looked at Rivers exxpression " sorry"

Mayhem watched as they came back, and ignored Aries. She sat down and sniffed the ones that Aster brought back. The dog shook her head. "Holly berries will kill you. They are very tempting, but are not edible." Mayhem pushed those away so she could take a look at the other branch. "Blackberries! These are edible, just watch for the stickers. You can find these everywhere, even the city has them."

Ash grinned at Aries " ha. You wont be the Herbalist must longer, Aries" he joked before looking t Mayhem then at Aster who was glaring at Ash " Whatch your tongue, Ash. " she growled before she looked back at Mayhem. " Go on, dear."

River was pleased at how Mayhem was handling this, but he knew things would get harder as training progressed.

"All of you, go find one edible thing that isnt berries or prey." Mayhem nodded. "The city may aid you, but dont go there, just yet."

A new tactic, I like it River thought as he walked to her and sat down. " You are doing great, love"

Aster went off immediately without another word. Taking her swwet old time. The males just sniffed around thinking about what she even meant by this . The two males retured empty handed. While Aster came back with with somethng that looked like cinnamon bark at least its something. she thought as she pushed it with her nose towards Mayhem with a whine before steppng back. The males were shocked " Aster.. how did you...You cat possibly think thats edible, do you?"

Aster chuckled " Trust me, Ive been around. But No, I dont know. but im willing to learn what is and isnt. You better do the same." she then looked towards Mayhem

"A good try, but that is not edible. There are plenty of plants and bugs you can eat!" Mayhem nudged over a rock and grabbed a beetle in her teeth. "You can survive couple of days on these if you're smart about it."

Ash chuckled before paying attention

"See, Ash? I learn by mistakes." Aster said nodding at Mayhem " I see. " she said before returning to her place

River tilted his head at Mayhem " How about one more and then we go eat?" he suggested. nuzzling her.
