Caligo "At any rate, how did your bit of rest compare?" he listened to his question and gave a slight chuckle, "i uh... well, not bad just revisited some memories is all..." he said but then he noticed her attention was drawn from him towards something else, the look in her eyes though drew his attention more, the pain and aggravation in her gaze, it was unnerving, his skin began to crawl as his heart rate sped a little more as he witnessed her crouch behind a boulder with her weapon out he felt his hand reach for his own as he frowned, his jaws clenching in worry and defense, trying to look for what she was looking at. Mystica's spikes flexed out and her pupils narrowed to slits as her muzzle wrinkled, nostrils flaring at the scent of charred flesh. but then fear struck caligo's heart, a knot wrenching in his gut as he heard her speak her next words, "I uhh, I guess I'll be right back." Mystica heard her wish and dipped her head, sending a message back through her narrowed eyes of wisdom, 'careful what you choose to do... don't be afraid of help if you need it.' Caligo instantly stood and spoke as she whistled for athelestan, hearing her say she'd be back, "wait! im coming with you! whats wrong?" he spoke but she was already off, so he turned to Mystica, "come on, were catching up with her" he said as he climbed her spikes up to her back but the dragon didn't move, giving a huff, staying put. Caligo was utterly surprised and irritated, "mystica, come on! i feel... i feel somethings wrong. i need to knows she's ok." Mystica felt a twinge of pity for him and huffed lightly, pressing her head against him as she took flight. but she wouldn't land. she took to the skies with him upon her back, following where she went but above the clouds, able to see but she wouldn't land, inside, she had to know too.

Adonis . Watching as she slowly climbed down the tree he didn't grin or smirk. Instead their was a small gentle, soft smile. His green eyes watching her arms grab branches, unsure of what to do, her hair slowly swaying. He chuckled at her in response her I know. Then she fell. He went to catch her but was a moment to late. "I am so sorry, I should have been quicker, are you alright?" He sat beside her and put an arm around her. "You have no idea how many times I've done that." He laughed quietly as a grin slowly went across his face, as memories flooded his mind. The first time he was up in a tree and saw the sea. And then when he fell swiftly after. "A small tip, is to always have three points of contact with branches wider then your wrist on a healthy tree." He looked at her face, practically glowing. His own face dotted with freckles having hair in his face, as always.

Thalia . She had her sword off to the side, in hand in case anything had any ideas. She was searching the ground for more details, she could see slightly burnt ground, and what looked like green dog slobber. "Crap. Athelstan, be ready for anything." He gave a whiney, and continued to run. They followed the tracks the smell of burning meat filling her nose as they got closer. Her crimson eyes searching everywhere for any details. Glancing between the ground, the tree line, and far forward. As the tracks got closer together she knew it ment they had slowed down. After all when a person, or even a deer is running their footprints are farther apart, when their just walking, they are far closer together. She had Athelstan continue at full speed and it wasn't long till she found a dead man. Bite marks with burnt edges, and claw marks going down the back, chests, legs, and sides. She shivered out of disgust and remorse for whoever this was. Non of those blows where lethal, just extremely painful. Hounds are know for playing with their food. What killed this guy was the facts their was no head. She let her eyes follow all of the footprints and could practically see what happened. She looked further off and saw more prints headed into the tree line. . Then she heard it, a slight low growl from behind her, getting louder as she heard the sand popping under the heat of their paws getting closer. She turned and saw the pair. She raised her blade and got ready for the lunge. She was determined to not end up like this man.

Era "I am so sorry, I should have been quicker, are you alright?" she was slightly taken by those words, and by how quick he had been there for her. she giggled lightly as he had put his arm around her, leaning on him in a playful manor, "of course im alright!" she laughed, "you cant be my hero all the time." she spoke through a giggle as she looked up at him, poking his nose playfully yet her sunlit gaze held a deep fondness rather than a playful mischief, her expression sweet and loving towards him. "You have no idea how many times I've done that." she giggled at his words, "well, you've certainly had a lot of practice then." she said as her long blonde golden hair hung over his arm as it was wrapped around her, her rosy cheeks gleaming in the sun, crimson lips cured into a sweet warm smile as her teeth sparkled in the sun. "A small tip, is to always have three points of contact with branches wider then your wrist on a healthy tree." she took note of his words, nodding, surely the advice would come in handy as not to fall while she would eventually hide. but her thoughts had seemed to fade as she examined his adorable freckles, messy yet handsome golden sandy hair, and alluring emerald eyes.

Adonis . You can't be my hero all the time. He knew what she said was true. He just didn't like it. He wanted to always help her. But when she poked his nose he gave a slight jolt back and chuckled. Happy to not be alone. "Good its excellent to know that your okay." He spoke softer with a more affectionate tone as he looked at her threw his blond curly mess. "Indeed practice makes for slightly less mistakes." He spoke threw a grin and laughter as he knew what he said to be true. He did still occasionally slip slightly or get a small cut from a branch on his way down. But all of it seemed to fade as he felt her hair on his arm. He could feel his ears getting warm as she was looking at him. He didn't move, like a deer in headlights. He could feel her blue angelic eyes scanning his grinning face and scruffy hair. He stood up and a bit of sun hit his back. "Well its easy to track someone who is right in front of me." He lowered his hand so he could help her up.

Daphne . As he explained he thought he deserved it she shook her head. "No, he is just very petty." She giggled relaxing a bit. And turned to Ajax and patted his head and poked his nose. Ajax you need to be nicer child. The lion gaze focused in on Galidus and he got up and walked and flopped in his lap, rolled onto his back, and lifted a paw to his face like he was petting him. Then he put his paw down and stayed their. "I think he is apologizing." She giggled ad sat next to them and pat his head again. "I appreciate your wanting to help." She looked into his blue eyes and exhaled deeply to relax a bit.

Era "Good its excellent to know that your okay." she shook her head with a smile, "no, its good to know your ok. you almost got arrested back there!" she said with a hint of panic covered by a humorous tone, "trouble making monkey cant keep himself out of trouble huh?" she said with a kind smile as her gaze scanned his sandy golden hair. at his next statement, she nodded, "Indeed practice makes for slightly less mistakes." it was true, slightly less mistakes. but mistakes are what you learn from... eventually, but Adonis didn't seem like the type to learn from a mistake the first time, or even the second it seemed. As she had been staring at him, examining his roguishly handsome yet adorable features, she noticed the hint of redness on his face which only made her giggle lightly with a slightly wider smile of curiosity. But then he had stood up, so she sat up as she looked up at him, guessing he probably wasnt comfortable like that. "Well its easy to track someone who is right in front of me." she listened to his words with a laugh, "true, true." she said as she stood up and took his hand to help, fixing her satin robe and untangling her golden hair as she picked a couple leaves and twigs from it. Her gaze then flickered back to him as she huffed with a refreshing breath of air and smiled, "alright, when do we start?"

Gelidus "No, he is just very petty." As gelidus saw how she had shook her head and had heard her words he chuckled, "a lion? petty? i would have never imagined." as he watched Ajax approach him he felt a small bit of fear just barely rise in him but he ignored it, the beast surely was intimidating. As the lion flopped down in his lap he huffed a bit, he was a heavy animal compared to him and it was a lot of weight on Gelidus's legs but it honestly made him chuckle a bit at the goofy yet intimidating giant. as the lion had rolled onto its back and lifted a paw to pet Gelidus's face, gelidus's crystal icy blue gaze flashed with a playful gleam in humor as he chuckled and placed a hand on Ajax's paw as he heard Daphne's words, "I think he is apologizing." Gelidus chuckled lightly and patted the lions paw that had been on his cheek, "its ok, Ajax." he said with a smile before his bright gaze twinkled towards Daphne, "I appreciate your wanting to help." he smiled kindly towards her as his snowy pale skin sparkled in the sunlight and his hair, white as fresh snowflakes, curly and fluffy as clouds, shined in the sun, his bright blue and silver gaze examining hers as he smiled, she was quite beautiful, hard to just glance at her like a normal person, easy to get lost a bit while just talking to her. he knew it was polite to look someone in the eye while they spoke but, with her, he was afraid he wouldn't be able to stop looking. her gaze just had a way of entrapping his in a trance, "y-yeah, no its... its fine."

Caligo As Mystica's large beastly wings swooshed deep and low upon the earth as she pulled herself up into the clouds, the loud forceful sounds of her own powerful wings faded as she got higher into the clouds, soon seeming almost level with the position of the sun, the clouds covering the view of earth. Caligo's wide eyes full of fright and worry searched the clouds below, his voice filled through clenched jaws of frustration fueled by his worry, "Mystica! take me to her!" the dragon's bright violet gaze flamed in a regretful uncertainty, swallowing on the words she wished to say. The silence was excruciating to caligo as his worrisome gaze turned to anger, his teeth shining in the sun as he clenched his jaws together, "Mystica! i know you hear me!" the dragon still stayed silent, not even turning to look at him, she couldn't, but she hated the pain she was putting her son through. Caligo was losing hope as the silence ebbed and he slowly melted to his knees, staring down below them as he let out a desperate beg full of an aching hurt, "Please..." The dragon huffed and she closed her eyes, she'd have to let him see at the least. she slightly and smoothly curled her wings in just a slight bit before diving down and re-opening her wings as she went just below the cloud line, so Thalia was just a moving speck upon the trees. Caligo frowned as his gaze searched the forest desperately until finding the moving dot that moved through the trees at a steady pace. Caligo huffed, "i cant tell whats going on, whats that? Mystica, fly me closer." he said as he pointed towards something they stopped by, able to see just slightly, the discoloration of the ground around a smaller dot. The dragon's tail flicked in slight annoyance and she drifted down a little farther and now things were a little clearer, figures could be seen and what Caligo had seen wasn't something he had hoped he'd ever see. there lied a mangled body that Thalia was examining but then... she followed the trail it seemed. his gut wrenched in worry. as Mystica followed above, they were able to see something approach her, stealthily, something not human. Caligo felt terror strike his core as he instantly yelled out, "Thalia, behind you!" but nothing could be heard from that distance away. he simply couldn't do much with his elven vocal cords. but despite his failing efforts, she was able to realize it before it had a chance to attack. Soon the stand off had begun and Caligo froze, what could he do? he knew exactly what that was down there, those boiling, fleshy beasts of death, those repulsive canines of terror and pain, two, down there, with the last one he has, his treasure, left to the mercy of those hounds of hell. Mystica felt her own worry boil within, she wanted to help too, but maybe, just maybe, this was Thalias fight. maybe she could handle it... but could Caligo handle watching? knowing?

Adonis . He sighed, knowing it was more then luck that he escaped. If she hadn't been their he would probably be dead. "Yeah I guess not." He kept grinning and smiling as he laughed. And as she giggled as he stood up and got warm he tried to act like nothing happened. Even though her elegance at taking his hand and standing would make Aphrodity jealous. "Right now." And he turned to face the town and closed his eyes and plugged his ears. Edited at April 2, 2021 10:41 PM by AppleBottomJeans
