The smell of smoke filled King's nostrils, he sat on one of the city's forge roofs, the hole in the roof spewing warmth and smoke. Often making him smell like smoke too. King cracked his left eye open, sighing when he spotted first light gathering on the horizon, it was time to get up.
Quicker then light itself, King got to his feet and leaped from the forge roof to the neighbours, leaping again and again. Roof hopping was the fasted way to get around, also helped him avoid the trouble down below, whether it was corrupt police, street gangs or the money holders aka the giant dealers.

King slowed to a stop on a greyed rooftop, not needing to look over the edge to see these where friendly streets.
King slowly climbed down the gutter, not wanting to risk a cut, there are no doctors here so if you don't know how to treat yourself or are friends with someone who can treat you, your fucked.
Dropping to the ground, the young man straightened up, and walked towards a worse for wear hut. It had tin leaning against it side to provide privacy and tarp hanging over the makeshift roof. Despite the look of this thing, it stood strong in the face of last weeks storm. Making his way over to the stolen door, King raised his fist to knock, but the door opened before he could.
Before him stood a scrawny teen, his teeth too big for his mouth and his wild brown eyes darting side to side "King" he murmured.
"Mink, great to see you nice and early, ready for a day of picking?" The kid nodded happily. We have been helping each other since he was a toddler, pick pocketing to survive.
