"Well, I'd rather get out of here as soon as I can. Been planning for weeks, now." Kelio walked into the house, quickly taking a look around the room, quickly waving softly at the younger feline at the table, smiling. Once they had left a d closed the door, her gaze landed back on Malahki. "Kelio. Kelio Thatcher," She nodded as he introduced himself, noting things mentally as she always did. She leaned in as well as he whispered, nodding. "Will do. Anything else I need to note? Nosy relatives, the like?" The last part was rather hushed, as if she didnt want any noisy relatives to hear them. Kelio seemed to understand exactly what the cougar was doing, and had expert knowledge locked away in her brain. Maybe she's done this before.. That's something for later. |

He understood precisely what she ment and agreed. "Sooner is definitely better then later." He the looked over to the door that had been shit the entire time. "But I can't go just yet." He kept his voice low in volume and pitch. "I want to make sure my sister is alright if she is going to be left alone with..." he shook his head in the direction of the door answering her question about nosy family. "Except for them, everyone's either dead, or there is no communication." He knew it was sad and his ears flicked in hatred, knowing it was his mom's fault again. That's how it was, time after time. . He sat for a second thinking. "What should I pack? Weapons, or just clothes?" He had never done this before, not even considered doing it for real, it had only been a dream. Now it was coming after him like a freight train. He could feel the excitement and nervousness from his wiskers to his core and knew it would be more then worth it. It HAD to be. |

"Clothes, weapons, anything of yours you feel attached to. Nothing that could track you, though; they wouldnt be useful in the woods anyways. Keep it limited. Only what you can carry." Kelio listed. "Grab water, too. You'll need it at some point." She hoisted her bag back over her shoulder. "I should get going. Shouldn't make anyone suspicious." After everything was said and done, she walked out the door and closed it softly, before the figure was gone, off to her hotel, to grab her few belongings and get some rest. This would be a long night.. |

He watched her just lost things he would need to bring. The reality of what he had agreed to both frightened and enthralled him. He could hear his heart pounding in his ear, and feel it in his chest. Hairs on his neck standing on end thinking of the best and worst that could happen to him out there. "I have an over the shoulder duffle that looks small, and feels small. But can hold two weeks worth of cloths." His nails extended and started to tap the table, adding to the intensity of the situation. "Water canteen is easy enough to snatch. And I have a few small things to bring along." He noticed how she seemed ready to go and relaxed his posture and leaned back, aggressively eating a chicken nugget when she slung he bag over her shoulder. "Yeah. He looked to his mother's door and his ears slanted. Turning around she was already gone and from outside he heard her walking over the gravel and down the path. . Sighing he got up and turned to his little sisters room. "You can come out now." He left it at that as he went to his room, locked the door, and started packing. He heard a knock at his door. "Go away. I'm busy." He heard sniffling and a thung so he got up and went to his door. Opening it he saw his little sisters fave crying, saying words that he couldn't begin to understand. "I don't know what your saying when your crying." He grabbed a paper towel and wiped her face. "What's wrong?" There was a silence that seemed to last an eternity. "I... don't.... I don't want you to gooo!" He kissed her forehead. "It won't be forever. And you will be fine." He smiled down at her as she hugged him. "Now, go get ready to bed." And she ran off. Leaving him alone. |

The morning came, perhaps a bit too fast for Kelios liking. It was 4:58AM, just about for her to grab the last few things and check out of the motel she was staying in. That was easily done, and the doe was now making her way towards the Cougars house, dressed in a few layers, but no footwear, like always. It took her a minute, but Kelio eventually figured out which window was his, knocking on it ever so softly. |

He finished packing and got comfortable in his bed. Thankful it was his last night. Grabbing a blanket he covered himself up. Couldn't end soon enough. He forced his mind to rest and his body to loosen so he could fall asleep swiftly, and he did. He didn't bother setting an alarm, the sound of walking on the gravel or knocking on his window would wake him up. He felt like floating as he drifted into sleep. . When he woke up it was still pitch black out. He threw on a clean shirt and sweatpants and some good shoes. Hesat on his bed, just waiting. It felt like forever. Then he heard it, the crunching of gravel. His head popped up and his ears perked as she tapped on his window. He threw it opened quickly trying to be silent but the old rusted metal squeaked a bit. He threw his packed bags outside and slid threw his window effortlessly and slick. Like he had practiced it hundreds of times before. Turning around he closed the window and gave her a confident nod. He kept his voice in a hurried whisper. "Where to first?" He stood proudly his eyes easily adjusting to the staright dusk. |

Kelio patiently waited for him to appear, helping him out the window. When the cougar turned around and seemed confident, she leaned in as he whispered. "Well, what'd you grab? We can stop by the store on the way out of town if you need anything." She explained and added, "Come on," . Kelio turned from the house, quickly getting out of the gravel that made her hooves hurt, and it was just loud. She made sure he was actually following her and began down the sidewalk, down the streets and over a few times, until they stood on the very outskirts, it being the last call before they'd be leaving for a long while. "Last call. You coming?" Kelio asked, wanting to see if he'd turn tail or stay, genuinely curious. |

He stood straight, keeping at high alert and hoping his sister didn't hear him leave. He was startled when she got close and whispered. "Cloaths for three days, a small and large knife, and a few waterbottles. And like 100 bucks I've been saving. I'll be fine." He nodded reinforcing his own belief and desire to be free from what he believed was torture and looked onward into the woods and the way out of his small neighborhood. . He noticed as she quickly moved from the gravel into the grass that she wasn't wearing shoes. He didn't want to be rude and ask so just left it up to his own speculation as he kept walking in the gravel, not caring if he was heard as he was known for only one thing; trouble. He followed her out and onto to the pavement thinking to himself the names of streets, buildings, shops and their owners has he knew he was abandoning the small town he grew up in. The only home he's ever known and his mind was quickly consumed with him second guessing himself as they made there way to the edge of town. He heard her voice like a siren beckoning him to bkth his death, and his freedom. He hesitated as he looked over his shoulder before turning back and taking another step away from town, and another, before he was besides her. "You can bet your ass I'm coming." He smiled a carefree smile as his hole body loosened. This was it, the beginning of the end. |

Kelio was surprised at his confidence. Normally they all leave at this very second. "Tahts the spirit," She smiles in return, walking out onto the lush grass that led into the forests, taking one wiick look back. She wasn't going to miss this place. Why? She didnt stay long enough to grow relationships with anyone. . Kelio sucked in a breath as they continued onwards. "How much sleep did you get? We can stop and get some rest before we get too far out, if you'd like." She asks, eyes set on the horizon, watching the dark plains be casted with moonlight, all the stars on display for everyone to see. That's her favorite part of this. Stars, northern lights, it fascinates her. . "Are you a fan of stargazing?" |

He saw the faith she had in him and didn't know if it was because he was tired or whatever, but it felt good. Someone caring. "There won't be a lack of spirit while I'm here." He said following her onto the grass. He looked at it and his shoes amd decided to remove them and put them in his bag. With a final glance at the place he never liked calling home he sprinted up next to her. His pupils had enlarged, and his ears where perked with excitement. He could feel the . He was excited, every muscle ready to do something. He tried to relax but couldn't. He chuckled. Finding her question funny. "Oh no, I'm fine, I slept rather well and why waste good weather. But if you need to rest I don't mind keeping watch for a bit." He offered as he struggled to see what exactly she had been focusing so hard on. Even with his excellent vision there wasn't anything to noteable. "Well, I don't really know what I would be looking for. Except for Orion, the big amd little dippers; they all look the same to me." He spun around while looking up. "That must be what she is so focused on. |
