Black Rose laughed. "I wanted to make you smile!" She said and smiled. "Plus I love you." She nuzzled his head.

Chase smiled, "I love you as well" he wagged, nuzzling her back on the head gently, before laying down beside the crystal.

Black Rose blushed and smiled. Her tail wagged as she stood up and looked at a few more crystals. She blinked as she thought she saw white wolves next to them but didn't see them for long. She walked to Chase and looked at him. "Shouldn't we go back to your pack?" She asked.

"Yeah, we should head back" Chase touched his nose to her ear and headed out of the strange cave, remembering the location so he could visit sometimes.

Black Rose smiled and followed him once he was out. She looked down at the hole and smiled. "I'll visit you soon, brother." She whispered to the hole before running up to Chase and nudged him. "Let's go. Race you!" She said and then took off towards Chase's pack's location.

Chase was startled and got a bad start, plus Rose was much faster than he was. He bolted as fast as he could, pain shooting up his side but he pushed on, growing tired with every second that he ran, he saw Rose up ahead as his vision started to blur...

His legs were unsteady, he tripped on a root concealed under leaved and fell, his head hitting on a stone..

Black Rose stopped when she heard him fell and ran back to him. She whimpered when she saw him bleeding and picked him up. She hoped his pack had a healer. She made her way to his pack with him on her back. "You'll be okay, I promise." She said. I won't let him die. She told herself as she walked faster. She was determined.

Chase saw his parents, they were with his sister. "Mother! Father!" Chase wagged. "Hello Chase" his Father dipped his head. "I can't believe it's you!" he whimpered with happiness, his sister wagged, "Stay with us Chase!" she pleaded. "I'm not going anywhere" Chase objected, confused, "I want you to meet Black Rose..." he trailed off as he saw her, carrying his own body. "You need to go back, son" Chase's mother pleaded, "You seem to love Rose, go to her."

"I love you as well! I want to stay with you!" Chase touched noses with his sister, but recoiled in shock as he felt it cold and dead.

Black Rose stopped and sat down. She gently placed Chase's body on the ground and started crying. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." She looked down and then backed away from his body. "You shouldn't have met me, Chase. You're probably dead right now as I talk but.. But I love you, Chase." She sniffed and curled up next to his body. "And I'm not going anywhere until you wake up. I don't even care if I die. You are the only one I have loved and I'm staying by your side. She thought with a sad smile.

Chase peered over his shoulder at Rose, crying over his body. He looked longingly at his parents and sister. "Your time will come to join us, I know it will" his father promised with a dip of his head, "But right now you must go with Rose." Chase nodded, "I love all of you.. I must go now." He padded over to his body on the ground, stood near it and with a flash of gold light he was no longer with his parents. He took a deep gasp, smelling blood.
